Checked in around 10 pm. Room had a bit of a musty smell. Went onto and come back about 3 am . The room smelt to bad. I had to go down to reception at 3 am to see what could be done . It turned out it was the drain as soon as water went down the awful smell come back. Hotel reception come and put some spray down sink and shower . That helped. Next morning as I was going out I told reception again. He said he would look in to it

I was ignored on arrival the guy was doing paperwork. Finally acknowledged me. Having just arrived from Mexico where the standard of service was top class I wasn’t expecting the same but this was poor. Also the door slamming at 1.30am put me off returning again.

Lovely place, nice staff, right on the beach front. Though a little bit of a walk into the main part of Sitges, the walk is along a coastline with the waves lapping onto the shore as you stroll. Beds comfortable and great value for money - would stay again. A tip for those travelling in from the airport - there are buses that run from Terminal 1 and drop you off near the hotel. If you're coming into Terminal 2, there's a free shuttle bus to Terminal 1. There is a train from the airport to El Prat where you can can the southbound train to Sitges - this took me two hours because of problems of the line to El Prat. Wish I'd got the bus!

A really lovely hotel but just needs a bit of an upgrade......wouldnt stop me going back though. Rooms airy, spacious & spotless. Staff all very nice. After a major problem.at check in, the staff were polite & patient and it was sorted the following morning.
The hotel is in a beautiful location right on sea front, but as its surrounded by a residential area, there is not one cafe, shop or kiosk - you have to walk 20 minutes into the beautiful Sitges for any of that, so a bit inconvenient. There is a bus every half hour or so which takes you to the station at the 'back' of the town, so again a long, but beautiful walk down through the town.

The little hotel with everything, free parking,great AC, beach across the road, expansive sea view from room, bikes, pretty pool area with bar! Not much else one needs except maybe access to ice! Staff are very friendly and helpful.
I would also recommend hotel offer some items for beach use especially beach chairs. At the moment they have nothing. But I would highly recommend this hotel

Good location but need renovations

We’ve been at this hotel for a few years and the location is superb. However, not sure where the 4 stars are accurate as the hotel look and feel very run down / old conditions. Its in need of renovation and a modern touch. The breakfast is sparse, only one old coffee machine and few other choices in a canteen like room. The room and corridors are in need of a facelift with a much modern shower / bathroom.

Disappointing. Room was old & tatty & I moved from one toom to another & it was just as bad. Obviously they spent money on the reception & hall areas which were lovey but I expected a much nicer room for my 180e a night stay.
Pros:
+ big bedroom & bathroom
+ clean
+ quiet
+ great breakfast buffet
+ good location, beach across the road, 15/20min walk into town.

Cons:
- the room looked like it hadn't been touched in 20 years - bathroom floor tiles need renewing, sealent round the bath needs renewing, bathroom door wouldn’t shut & it got stuck a few time where I needed to get my shoulder to it! The shower needs moving over the bath as it's placed in a totally difficult spot! ( room 312).
Walls in the bedroom need repainting.

Sitges is a great venue with countless restaurants and sidewalk cafes. The hotel is around a 1-km walk to town, across the street from the bay, has a wonderful pool, fine poolside bar and adequate restaurant.

The Wi-Fi in the rooms was terrible. We complained several times but they didn’t fix it. The wedding that they had on site was a huge disturbance to the guest with noise until 1 PM and then the staff cleaning up all the tables until 230. The dining room was filthy the next day. And the staff couldn’t care less. We paid for an upgraded room and it was a huge waste of money.

The bedroom was kept immaculate by the cleaners. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with bacon, sausage, fried and scrambled egg, toast, cereal, pastries, yoghurts, coffee and fruit juices. The swimming pool and its bar were closed during my stay, I think because I was slightly too early for peak season. However, the location is ideal for the beach and coast and is a 20-ish minute walk from where most of the hustle and bustle is, so it’s quiet but still nicely situated. Good value.

Two enjoyable days at Subur Maritim

We enjoyed our stay at Subur Maritim. The location on the beach is fabulous, with an enjoyable walk to the old town and its shopping and restaurants. The staff members in all roles were helpful and pleasant. There is no restaurant for evening meals but Sitges has many attractive alternatives. The breakfast is fine and pffers a wide range of foods. The hot buffet could do with an update, otherwise it is good. Fabulous view from our room over the pool, garden and beach and sea. The hotel is clean and tidy though may need a refresh soon. Only criticism would be the beds, which are rock hard. Overall, an enjoyable stay for 2 nights and recommended

Wonderful hotel with a very quirky and distinct styling. Staff were very helpful and rooms were comfortably furnished. We had a sea view room on the top floor with a view up the promenade. It is a dog friendly hotel but all the four legged guests were well behaved. The pool has plenty of chairs and loungers and the bar was well stocked with a lovely atmosphere. It is a 20 minute walk to the middle of town but its a lovely walk to enjoy the many sections of beaches and lovely properties along the front. There is a regular tourist bus that takes it you up and down the front for a 4 euro return fare and runs every 30 mins and stops just outside the hotel. Breakfast had a nice range of the usual continental options. Did not have a meal in the hotel so cannot comment on the food. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

The internal areas of the property is very dated and shabby, specially the bedroom with cracked floor tiles and wall paper pealing off.
We were not expecting plastic mugs at the coffee station, no teaspoons and not enough coffee saches for two. Certainly not 4 star!

On the upside, the pool area was absolutely lovely.

Even though Hotels.com made a mess of the booking by only booking for 2 adults upon arrival it was realised by the hotel who then said due to the time it was not possible to change rooms but they would add an extra bed the following morning with no drama or fuss. Thank you Oriol.
The hotel is simply fantastic the rooms are spotlessly clean a tad basic but the service and friendliness of everyone at the hotel is exceptional! I travel a lot with my job and many of the larger chains could use these guys as a benchmark!
We were only here a couple of nights but will definitely be back next time we are in Sitges!

This hotel was a nice find in Sitges. It is a nice, modest hotel close to downtown, across the street from the beach and close several restaurants/bars. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you, but it’s pool, garden and restaurant make it a good option for families or those looking for a good hotel close to downtown Sitges.

This was a night stop for a long journey. Most importantly, the hotel accepts dogs and parking is included.

The staff welcome was great and offered a complementary drink from the bar (cava, thank you). The grounds around the hotel (pool, garden, and outdoor bar) are we well maintained and look very nice. The public rooms around the hotel are also in good condition.

The room itself was a decent size, with air-conditioning, a decent sized balcony, and we had a great view of the sea and the promenade. The decor was a little bit in the corners and above the air-conditioning unit, and the bathroom could probably benefit from a face-lift (eg. tiling around the shower). That said, the beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet; we got a good night's sleep.

The hotel is in a great location. A 15-minute walk to the centre of town. It's close enough to lots of restaurants and bars, but far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise. We even saw a British TV & Radio celebrity at the same restaurant.

Would we recommend the hotel? Definitely. Would we stay again? Yes, if we come this way again. We liked Sitges.

It certainly wasn’t safe

Had my bag with EVERYTHING in it within half an hour of arriving at hotel from around the pool area.
As none of our rooms were ready ( I understand it was before 2pm) we had to keep all our things of value with us.
My bag was taken off a sun lounger next to me with all of my valuable items in!

Certainly put a damper on the holiday

The entire staff was so nice and the hotel is beautiful and is in a nice residential neighborhood, right on the beach! About a 12 minute walk to the restaurants and shopping. It is very peaceful and so much fun to walk up and down the boardwalk any time of day. The breakfast spread was awesome and delicious!! Can’t say one thing negative! I had the best three nights there, slept like a baby and cried like a baby when it was time to leave!

Have stayed in this hotel a few times. The staff are friendly and obliging, the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Free car parking is a bonus and the hotel is pet friendly. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Sitges, but the terrain is flat and very walking friendly. During the summer months there is a free shuttle train to and from the centre at regular intervals

This is a lovely hotel which is about as near to the sea as possible. Our room had a warm and sunny balcony (in January) and a perfect view out to sea. Very comfortable and relaxed hotel. Liked the addition of bath robes. Only had breakfast there but was a great selection of good quality food. It’s about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town. Nice and quiet with ample free on-site parking. Very dog friendly.

Geat hotel just by the beach in amazing Sitges

We stayed at the hotel for 19 days with 3 kids and a small dog. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the hotel is a great location just opposite the beach and with a good swimming pool. It is also waking distance to the center but far enough to be quiet.

The location of the property is very nice. Directly across the street from the beach and down the main street, far enough for it to be quiet but not too far for a quick walk to many restaurants and shopping. The pool area is nice with the attached bar/restaurant. Very relaxing and a feel of a backyard environment in a good way. The rooms could be updated but they were satisfactory.

I’ve stayed here over ten times. I always choose it due to its location, sizeable rooms and helpful reception staff.

I mark it down for two reasons. The rooms are looking tired (the patio door would not lock) and the breakfast room staff do not match the service levels of the other staff. The breakfast supervisor kept walking past dirty plates, not replenishing food and had to be asked for things she should notice.

We stayed in this hotel for the second time for our 9 days vacation.
A location is excellent, 2 min walking to a beach and a wonderful promenade along the beach.
There is a nice out door swimming pool.
Staff is very friendly and polite.
A breakdast is absolutely excellent.
A room was perfectly cleaned every day.
Disadvantages: for some reason wifi almost did not work. A signal was too weak almost all the time in the entire hotel. It was also a pretty strong sewage smell, basically stench, every early morning.

Loved the laid back atmosphere. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Liked the 24 hour tea and coffee in the lounge area. Across the road from the beach. The poolside bar shut earlier than expected. Dormitory style atmosphere inside. Beds sagged and furniture needs updating and cleaning (the grooves were dirty) and needs a lick of paint. But lovely view from the balcony. Just a bit dated/tired
