This was a nice hotel for the price. It could use some upgrades, especially the rooftop bar, which has an excellent space and view but can be made much nicer. The staff was helpful but did not really go out of their way to help. The location on the beach was great and a very walkable area.

Another great stay. Reserved an ocean front room and it had a great view towards the church and beach. Efficient reservation desk.

Hotel is a little older but updated w a decent TV. Fantastic range of restaurants within 5 mins. About 8 mins walk from the bus or train from barcelona

Breakfast is extensive w great staff who work hard to refill the many buffet sections. Small pool in the rear which is heated during the winter months

The staff was nice. My room was clean. But, it smelled my entire stay. The wifi was horrible. I’ve never stayed a hotel and it been that bad. The TV was so hard to work. It also had this weird zoom in feature that wouldn’t go away because the TV was so small & positioned so high up. I felt like I was staying in the 60s in my hotel room. It’s a cheap option for if you’ll be at the beach all day or for a short time. But, even then, you won’t have the best comfort upon returning to your room especially if you want to relax and watch TV or use the internet. Otherwise, great location & close to the shops.

Great little hotel in a great location!
It’s a little old & tired in places but it almost adds to the character of the hotel.
Great rooftop bar and a free welcome drink of cava is a great idea as we actually had a few drinks!
Pool area is clean but does need a few more beds!
Breakfast is also very good.

The property is excellent. With a beachfront location, it is conveniently located to centre of town which has an array of local shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. Given its proximity to the nightlife, it can get loud in the evenings if you're poolside but the soundproofing of the shutters and doors to the balcony are effective. The staff on arrival and departure were incredibly efficient and friendly. The food offering at the breakfast buffet was wide-ranging with breads, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurts and English Breakfast options all available, as well as Spanish cuisines such as the cold meats and cheese section. The rooms were comfortable with large beds and television/DVD player and streaming options. The free WiFi and use of the safe were useful too. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly and efficient, cleaning rooms to a good standard! The Nespresso machine and kettle with teas and coffees was also an added bonus. Despite its size, the spa pool area outside (first floor) was easily accessible and relaxing. It is well decked and there are a range of deckchairs available and the pool itself had a number of jets and a bubble pool. The rooftop bar with amazing views is a great spot to watch the sunsets. Best hotel we have stayed in on our visits to Sitges for many years.

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Sitges, right by the waterfront. While it’s simple and a bit dated in appearance, it offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were warm you and welcoming, and the service was genuinely good. Breakfast exceeded expectations, and the highlight is undoubtedly the fabulous rooftop terrace with stunning views over the beach and sea. All in all, excellent value for money. I would use it again and highly recommend it.

A great hotel in the best location. The room was more than big enough and the sea front views were fantastic.

Top top it off the hotel gifted a bottle of champagne on my birthday whilst I was there!

Amazing Hotel in a Central Location

This is our fourth stay at this hotel in the past several years now. We plan to come again because we like the hotel and the friendly and very accommodating staff. The location is great because it’s central to the shops and restaurants and facing the beach. It’s also quiet, has a quaint swimming pool, and a roof top bar with spectacular views. My only criticism is that the bathroom is dated and the blow dryer needs to be replaced (it’s the same old one from years past and they don’t really work properly ).

Top location in sitges

The hotel is a little dated but the roof top bar and location was fantastic. Step across the street onto the beach, resteraunts and tapas bars all around. We have stayed in higher ranking hotels in sitges before but would return to Platjador as first choice for sure

Great choice for breakfast, which runs until 12.00 pm.
Lovely room, huge comfortable bed!
We visited in April and it was very warm - the hotel was still on heating mode, rather than air-conditioning, so it was very hot in the room. We had to sleep with the doors to the balcony open, this meant that everybody's smoke came into our room which was horrible. This was our only negative point about the hotel.

Great location on the seafront and really close to shops and restaurants. Lovely staff - especially the friendly lady on reception. Breakfast options are vast, but unfortunately not a lot of options for vegans so we had to supplement with our own food. While some hot food would have been okay, beans and mushrooms were right next to meat - separation and some labelling would be a great enhancement. Our room had a sea view, huge bed and good bathroom. Door to the balcony was very well soundproofed, but the area is generally quite quiet so we could enjoy the sound of the waves at night. Lovely place!

Love Sitges

This hotel is in a perfect location.
Everything you want is in walking distance. It faces the Sea, and the ‘old town’ is behind.
The staff are
welcoming, gracious and helpful.
Rooms are a bit dated but clean. The Breakfast buffet was amazing. The welcome drink and tea was in a beautiful room and perfect place to relax at the end of the day.

Good location, ok hotel.

Pleasant stay, the hotel itself is clean and comfortable but extremely dated. The hotel is in a fantastic location and that would be the only reason I would return again.
The man on reception was quite unwelcoming too. The hotel is very dark & dated and is possibly due for a revamp.
If that doesn’t bother then it’s otherwise ok.
The free lemonade and glass of cava was a very nice touch I must say.

Great location but this hotel could really use some updating. Carpets, painting, lighting all need some help. Loved the bar on top! Was a terrific place in the evenings. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Also loved the pool area! What’s up with these GIGANTIC beds and where do you find sheets to fit them?! By the way, can be a very noisy location, esp when there is a festival going on on the beach across the street with music going on until 3 am.

Hotel Platjador was clean and quirky cool. We loved the pool, despite a few jets being out of order, the waterfall, jacuzzi corner, and overhead jet were great. The breakfast buffet was incredible, you could easily assemble a full English or Irish breakfast and there were so many breads and pastries that the kids were in danger of overloading. We had a great time.

Central and quiet

To clarify, right at the start: this is a three-star hotel, not a modern 5-star resort. If you stay at this hotel, you have three certainties: a super central location, a very decent breakfast and, most importantly, incredible quiet. An older building with decent walls prevents disturbance from both the hallway, the bathroom, the neighbors. Unimaginable in new hotels. The roof terrace and bar is also very nice. Mattresses are OK, air conditioning worked well in July and did not disturb. I recommend the hotel

I enjoyed staying at The Platjador, and would likely stay again. Unfortunately we had a lot of problems with our specific room that other friends rooms did not have. The issues we reported were looked at immediately, we did not report them all. Shower stuck on hot, toilet seat broken, 1 light not working, 2 flickering, toilet cistern leaking. The aircon was good, and the bed comfortable with relatively good pillows. They have a great breakfast and pool area.

Great staff, nice room, great view of the ocean, and the breakfast was excellent. The only complaint I have is for noise... Doors slamming shut when other guests leave their rooms were quite loud and the housekeeping staff in the mornings were as well... And it's not like they were speaking loudly or doing anything inappropriate... You can just hear things out on the hallway. It made it impossible to sleep in... Which isn't terrible.

Decent stay at a beach front hotel. Literally steps from the beach and all the shops and restaurants.

Room was nice, but man oh man do I hate European king size beds. A twin and a full pushed together isn’t a king!

Lovely hotel with great service

Really loved staying here. It’s close to the beach and then also everything else around it. The sea view room was amazing and we couldn’t fault the room at all. The only downside was the swimming pool closing at 6 but otherwise it was great. The breakfast was a nice treat too and enough to keep us full till dinner. Will be going back again!

Hotel desperately needs a refit. Very old. Tiny room and bathroom. Mouldy shower. Grimy carpets on stairs. Towels stored outside room. Disappointing terrace with view of rooves of other buildings. No sun on room balcony after lunch. No idea why this place is rated so highly. Extremely noisy throughout the night.

Get a seaside view room

The hotel is located right across from the beautiful seashore - a great location, and also very close - like walking distance - to all the things you'll want to see in Sitges. Unfortunately I had a view of some pretty seedy and unspectacular backyards. After the first night i asked if it was possible to get a room on the sea side. The woman at the front desk seemed quite annoyed that I even asked. She also wasn't helpful with directions I asked for later -thankfully, the man who was at the desk the next morning was much more helpful. Then when she looked in the computer, she told me it would be a 35 EU upcharge for a room - so maybe I didn't pay enough attention when I booked the room, but the view was horrible. Pay attention. I stayed here at the end of several cities in southern Spain. I have to say that the complimentary breakfast here was probably the best, although the dining room was quite modest. The lunch which I paid for in the restaurant on my arrival was pretty so-so, though. They did offer a complimentary glass of Cava for the happy hour on their rooftop lounge, from which there were great views.

Very tired and shabby rooms

I have stayed at the Platjador a number of times. Sadly the hotel is in need of refurbishment, it is looking shabby. The staff are excellent. The breakfast is ok, but no hot plates to eat off and the food was barely warm, this needs action.
The bed sheets were very thin and worn and bathtowels had holes and were threadbare.
I will not stay here again until it is refurbished.
