This hotel has and still is excellent, on our recent visit they have improved the sun loungers and the food is much better so will still always stay here. Staff are always very friendly but I feel they could do with one or two more staff to help out around the bar and food area as the staff have a lot of different areas to cover.

Great place to stay. Staff cannot do enough to guarantee your comfort. They take every content and request seriously.

They're flexible with break arrangements, and even went the extra mile having did ready for us when we arrived after hours.

Rooms are very decent and the fact is child free gives it a very serene atmosphere.

Walking distance to the beach and town centre and very reasonable prices.

This hotel has the potential to be excellent. The bar and pool areas are excellent. The cramped, basic room and some issues with service let it down. Feels understaffed at times, I spent too many times waiting at an unmanned bar or front desk for someone to appear. Location is nice and walkable to the centre of Sitges but note it is not on the main drag and priced accordingly, we quite liked being just outside the hustle and bustle but you may think otherwise.

Would not provide pool towels unless a 20 euro cash deposit was given, which I did not have. Was not informed this at check in and hotel is not in walking distance to an Atm. I was there for 1 night only and was therefore not able to use the pool. Rooms are in need of an upgrade as well.

Second visit to Antemare

This hotel is just the sweet spot between the vibrant town and the more family-oriented area and the golf clubs etc. towards the southwest. Not many of the hotels here have a large pool - not a necessity for me but a major bonus as I love to wake up first thing in the a.m. and submerge myself in water that has cooled overnight. The breakfast buffet is amazing and I really like that they serve until 10:30 - Sitges is a late-night party town after all! (or can be, if that is your thing!) Thanks to the restaurant staff who were all lovely and encouraged my basic Spanish, teaching me a few phrases along the way. They were all very simpatico!

Particular thanks to Rixio on reception who sorted out a few things for me during my stay, very professionally and kindly and who helped me out by printing onward travel documents for me after my phone was, sadly, stolen on my way home from a bar one late night. I really appreciated it and I will be back next year, hopefully! - Colin

The room i stayed in was not a hotel standard at all. AC was not cold. the bed and sheets just bad. the shower is very damages to get in and out off and very weird shaped . the water was hot n cold . no english channels so do t even turn the very tiny tv on. wifi was very bad. location bad and way too many stairs for no apprentice logical reasons . the breakfast was ok. 2 many to mention . the staff were nice

We last stayed here 5 years ago and have noticed that this hotel is in need of a lot of refurbishment both inside and out.Our bedroom was looking over the pool, it was very tired the decor was shabby,we had to ask reception to repair the lock on the patio door and the wardrobe doors wouldn’t slide open which was repaired.The air con was very poor but just about kept the room cool as it was 28 outdoors much hotter you would have struggled. The room was clean and beds were comfortable but very low not suitable for old and infirm
The outside of the hotel is in urgent need of redecorating and the shabby appearance makes this hotel look like 2star.
The decking around the pool is in desperate need of repainting or replacing for stone.
On a positive note the hotel is very clean the staff are excellent especially the guy running the restaurant his amazing. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice.The staff on reception were also excellent and extremely helpful. We would stay again but please update your rooms and decor both inside and out !!

We love the Antemare and come back at least once a year which is mainly about the staff. They do need to resolve the outdated WiFi access as it is now getting annoying having to reboot the app several times a day. Pool is not heated so almost impossible to use come October which was a shame

Very poor experience. The room wasn't always cleaned and rubbish was not always taken away. There was no bottle opener for the 'complimentary' mini bar and it took five days and an argument to get one. No drinks as promised. Cups and glasses just left. Coffee machine leaked and had to put napkins under it each time. Never tidied/cleaned or sorted this. Only decaf provided. Room passes had to be updated every day. Lamps etc there BUT nowhere to plug them in. We had to move furniture to plug coffee machine in. Safe didn't work initially and still had property in there. Not a fully dressed room/suite and it just seemed that this wasn't meant to be used as a suite. Hotel has apparently been updated in last few years. I stayed years ago and nothing has been done. Best avoided

The Junior Suite is absolutely NOT worth the money

We paid almost £194 per night to stay in the Junior Suite. IT WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

We were supposed to be greeted by a manager/director ... this did not happen.

We were supposed to be greeted with a glass of wine and fruit juice ... this did not happen.

We were supposed to be provided with a shaving kit in the room ... there wasn't one and when I pointed it out to reception we still weren't provided with one.

We were supposed to be provided with a dental kit in the room ... there wasn't one and when I pointed it out to reception we still weren't provided with one.

There were supposed to be pool towels waiting for us in the room ... there weren't any in the room and we had to ask for them at receptiin each day

I was in room 535. WiFi was broken. Ants in the shower. Soap disposter not working (fixed). No supermarket around. Bad location. My balcony view was depressing. To get to the room you have to downstaris and the upstairs (again - room 535). On the other hand, the staff are vety nice. The massage lady is very kind and professional.

Our room was very disappointing, there were live wires hanging from the door which tripped the electrics, which we had to reset, a plug socket hanging out of the wall and our room was advertised as a double but was two single beds pushed together. Our balcony was also rusted and broken and overall the room was not in good condition :( such a shaken as the actual hotel itself is beautiful and was in a great location.

The walk to the main town is a nice walk along the beach so if anyone was looking on google maps and thinking its a long walk away from the main square then don't worry it's not.

This one was after our Madrid trip as a relax by the pool stay but unf. it was not as good as we expected. Rooms were clean enough but they forgot to clean my room on the second day even if I told the reception when I left my room. Next day I had to chase the cleaning team to make sure it was done.
The reception was friendly enough and the pool was quite nice so these two are the positives.
However, the biggest issue was the noise! The doors are old and loud so u could hear doors banging anytime night or day.
What really shocked me was how thin the walls were. Me and my mate stayed in separate rooms and he said he woke up someone snoring next door!! :) and I could hear people plugging their chargers in or out to the sockets next door... thats how loud it was.
it wasnt the worst stay ever. if you don't mind thin walls and banging doors then you will be fine.

Everything is good, and the staff is superb! What shall be thought about and definitely be improved is the amenities in the room, \"there aren't any included in the price\" and only bar is at sale in room. Most 3 star hotels do at least offer in the room coffee and tea and a hot water boiler and some sugar and milk. That isn't available, for a 4 star hotel is not good, my advice is to do at least indeed what 3 star hotels offer, but every hotel has its own philosophy, and herewith it is only a kind advice, because everything in the hotel is just perfect.

Located just a block away from the beach, and within easy walking distance of the center of Sitges, this was my first time at an adults only hotel. It has a wonderful pool, and it was great to not have kids around! Room was large, with a balcony and chairs. A/C and wifi was great also. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. Would definitely stay here again!

We don't recommend this hotel. It is promoted as a 4 or 5 star hotel but is far away from that. We booked a room to stay for 3 nights. After doing the check-in and giving our credit card as a deposit for the mini-bar, the person at the reception told us that he forgot to inform us that SOME of the rooms had issues with the air conditioner. Because there was no one to help us with the luggage, we had to carry our luggages and take them to our rooms, which was at a section of the hotel with no elevator. My sister had a knee surgery weeks before, so imagine how difficult it was for her... The AC of the room was not working, so I asked for a room change. In the second room the AC seemed to be working. When we first got there, we assumed that the room would get cooler after a few hours, so we went out to enjoy Sitges. We left at 7 PM, but when we came back at 1 AM, the AC of the new room was not working. The room was hot and humid, it was IMPOSSIBLE to stay there. We are very resilient, but we couldn't be in the room. So we decided to pack and go to the reception and according to them there were no rooms available, but according to expedía.com there were rooms indeed. My sister and me had to spend the light sitting at the lobby of the hotel, from 1:30 AM-9 AM. It was the worst expedience of our lives at a hotel. Did we pay $220 per night to spend the first night sitting at the lobby of the hotel?

First bedroom the shower water flooded into toilet area, the shower would not drain. Staff reluctant to move us. Was told 2 hour wait for engineer. I demanded a room change. Once changed the new room didn’t seem very clean. It was already sandy. It was cleaned daily, but always remained sandy, including the beds! Poor TV channels. Staff never greeted us in the mornings or evenings. Extremely cold and unfriendly staff. Asking questions to staff felt like we were inconviencing them. Food in bar area poor, not cheap! Pool area over crowded. Not enough sun beds and umbrellas. A word of advise and warning: rooms starting in ‘5’ seem to be the older and not refurbished part of the hotel. Avoid! We were in 531 originally. The WiFi was terrible in this room. Rooms starting in ‘1’ , ‘2’ or ‘3’ are a lot better. We were moved to 219. I am surprised Expedia continue to offer this hotel. What is shown on Expedia is not what we had originally in room 531. Room 219 matched Expedia description. Trip Advisor review to follow. With an official complaint to Expedia.

Nice quiet place, close to beach

We’ve stayed at aunty Mary before so that was main reason for selecting. It is about 15 mins walk along the beach but this is actually quite good - the walk along the beach is nice and being out of town it makes for quieter surroundings. The pool are is nice and there are plenty of places to sit in the sun. Breakfast is well stocked and efficient. Rooms are a bit basic, and air con could be better - plus the layout of the hote involves quite a lot of steps, which is a bit of a drag if carrying bags etc. But overall we knew all these points and the hotel is cheaper than many others in the town.

Great location, but needs investment

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years, the last refurbishment was about 3 years ago, but the rooms are looking tired. It needs to invest in proper beds, they are low and no doubles only two singles pushed together . The bathrooms have very old style fittings ( e.g. toilet rolls on hooks) , only part tiled . The paintwork needs done. This old hotel has immense potential to be a luxury hotel but it cuts corners . The buffet breakfast is extensive but repeatative . It’s not changed in years . It’s a great location, super main pool. But overall it lacks the finesse it needs to achieve its potential . This should be a 4 star deluxe hotel and could be with some investment .

Quiet location, Great Pool

I went there for 3 nights. Breakfast was included and it was great, with lots of different food. The pool was amazing but not heated. The room was modern, well equipped and clean. I had a partial view of the sea and some beautiful houses. It was 2 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the city center by walking. There was a problem with my patio door who couldn’t be locked, but there was a safe and I was on the 3rd floor so I didn’t really mind. Staff was very helpful and nice. Finally, I got a massage at the spa and it was not expensive for an hour (50 euros)

Very strange set up of the hotel building...almost like two different buildings. Cold corridors leading to elevators which are hard to find, with signage to floor levels (with all rooms seemingly numbered 500 and something) extremely hard to figure out.

The rooms were comfortable and warm with a large modern bathroom but the outside area surrounded by a brick wall, was not particularly scenic!

The whole hotel seemed dark, despite full length windows in a lot of areas. The breakfast room, especially, was dark and untidy. The food service table looked like it was a temporary set up, as would be used for a conference and the tables and chairs were ungainly and clumsy. The food served at breakfast was adequate but seemed to take a long time to be restocked when it was running out.

Location was fine, about a 10-15 minute walk to town along the seafront but I think the price reflected this, as hotels nearer the cafes and town centre are more expensive.

If you want a comfortable bed at a reasonable price this is fine, if you’re looking for somewhere for more than a night, maybe somewhere else would be a better idea.

We booked the hotel fairly last minute (a month before going) and was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews but our stay far exceeded our expectations. Room was lovely and spacious and clean, great shower and it had a small patio area too. Air con worked well and it was very peaceful, blackout curtains meant we could also enjoy a lie in! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the bar staff make a mean mojito! Pool area was lovely too and not too busy (we stayed in Sept). We didn't have meals included and headed into town for food each night. It's about 15/20 mins walk which we enjoyed after lazing by the pool all day and along the promenade is a lovely walk even at night.

One block in from the beach

The hotel layout in my opinion is very strange. Once I got my head around the geography of the property I quickly adapted. A large portion of the facility in my opinion would not be suitable for less able people. However there are plenty of accessible rooms if this would be a problem for you. The pool was excellent main attraction for me, staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast was good, coffee machines were poor though, tiny amount of coffee dispensed but that would be my only gripe re: food standard. Overall I would stay again and risk getting a room with stairs to navigate.

Great but- read below.

They Place and surrounding area was great! I opted for the inclusion of breakfast and dinner for the first time ever staying at a hotel. The food was really good. Buffet style of course but the menu continued to change all week. Only suggestion is bring a mosquito repellent as there are (have not seen) many and I had bites on my legs every night. But, nonetheless, that's due to weather not the property itself and I highly recommend it. We'll be back, most definitely.

Terrible experience

The worst stay ever. Dirty hotel all over. Unprofessional staff and zero care. Unfortunately, we had no option since we made a last minute booking and will never stay there again neither recommend anyone to do so. A lot to be done. Rooms are totally dirty and service is so bad. The lack of care and professionalism is very obvious. Being a 4* hotel must have way different standards.

Close to beach. Difficult to find parking

Hotel is located one block back from the beach but quite a walk from centre of Sitges. Requested a double bed and got two singles. Floor of room was dirty as was the shower tray. Bathroom door was swollen from water and the room looked tired. Not an expensive hotel but expected better standards

sun loungers by pool were booked all day by towels. There was little other accommodation available during our stay but I would suggest other options if available

Great Staff - Poor Product

The staff were ever so friendly and attentive. However the Quality of the wifi made it extremely difficult to work online while abroard.
A battery was missing from the remote control in the room which was comical as the entertainment options on the television left a lot to be desired being an English & Dutch Couple our only options were News Channels. Obviously this is where the wifi also became a cause for contention as our 'Go to' Netflix or 'Watch Online' was impossible

Next time I'm in Sitges, I would stay here again. Clean, well-presented, with a convenient location to the beach and the town, with good breakfast facilities. Very helpful staff.

Nice hotel, close to the beach

The hotel met all my expectations and we were greeted warmly upon arrival and even though our room wasn't quite ready, the hotel staff offered to hold our luggage and we were able to hang out by the pool until it was ready. The room was nice and clean with a great patio with a table and chairs. The only comment I would make about the room was that if was right at the back of the hotel and a really long walk from the rest of the place. Air conditioning was adequate but the room never really cooled down enough. The amenities in the hotel were good. There was a lobby bar that also served drinks by the pool and the prices were fair. We were told that we couldn't order food at the pool even though we saw other people eating poolside so some of the policies were a bit confusing. That being said, the food was good and again, priced well for the hotel service. The staff was friendly and very professional.

Overall, I would recommend this place although I think that next time, I'd look for something that was a bit closer to the centre of town as it was quite a walk (25 minutes) to get to where the main strip was with all the great restaurants and bars. There were a lot of kids so I'd say that this might be a better place for families than for single people looking for a lively, active hotel.

Modern hotel and decor

Excellent value for money. The hotel is close to the beach, clean, modern, with two pools, free wifi and very good facilities. Friendly staff and a truly exceptional breakfast buffet.

Horrible experience!

Air Condition does not work. Hotel employees not willing to change my room, had to look for another hotel the next day. Hotel refuse to refund the rest of my stay. Will never go back to this hotel

One of Sitges most exclusive and select hotels. Nestled in one of the most exclusive neighbourhoods of Sitges . Huge pool, balcony views . First class restaurant and facilities, and warm helpful staff. A five star expirence and only 5-10 stroll to the heart of the town...

Loverly hotel but lack of air conditioning

The hotel was in a prime location just off the sea front but in walking distance to bars and restaurants.
It offers a pleasant swimming pool and friendly staff.
Breakfast was delightful.
The only negative part of the hotel was the air conditioning in our double room.
At our stay the night temperature was around 20 degrees and the air conditioning was not working properly to cool the room down so resulted in lack of slep.
Apart from that the stay was first class.

Nice hotel in a good location, let down by average food and some poor service. Constant scraping of chairs and tables ruined a morning by the pool. Rooms are good value, bar is soul-less but pool is very nice. All in all some good, some bad.

Four star?!

Not really that special, hostel type of room with thin walls and two cots pushed together for a bed. Every meal was cold and had 3 plates edible, staff was trying but had to eat out. Paid 1/2 board £90+ per nt. Wouldn't call it four star though, best of luck.

Room in annex was noisy and not cleaned

If staying at this hotel, ensure you get a poolside room.

We had a room in the annex, which was very dated in design.

It advertised a bathroom , but only had a shower room.

Despite being out of the room for 8hrs on the second day of the stay, the cleaning staff hadn't found time to clean it.

This hotel can be good, as we've stayed there before (and have a reservation later this year) but this stay wasn't to the normal standard

Sauna scam

The whole reason for booking this hotel was that it is a SPA hotel as its name says and advertises sauna as one of its facilities. Upon arrival and asking about the sauna's opening times we were told it is closed for the winter. November is not really winter and isn't it in the colder months that one would want to use a sauna??? Biggest disappointment and false advertising, stay away if you're looking for a hotel with a sauna.

Ok hotel but room was small

No ventilation in the bathroom and also airconditioning was not working. We stayed at the end of October and luckily the weather was not too hot otherwise the room would have been unbearable. We were also bugged by mosquitoes, so the mosquitoes plugs/sprays are a must

Hairy shower

After a day traveling, checked in , and decided to get a shower , when I was having the shower ,I did noticed a few long hairs ,just said to my self it happens,then dried my self and more hairs this time was the toilet sick like some one trimmed their beard in the sink , quite a good trim I must say
I went to the reception to complain about it , they apologised and assured me that a maid would sort it out
When I came back to the rook the hairs in the sink were gone , and around 50% of the showers ,
I did stay two days those two days the hairs in the shower were still there

I eNice hotel for seniors

Hotel is situated about 1km from centre of Sitges so a lot of walking involved if you want to est snd drink and sbop in town.
Main block of botel snd swimming pool as you might rxprct but there is an underground tunel that connrcts it with various modern extension across the road. Very weird and confusing layout, lots of stairs and ramps. Our room 539 was located in tbis area, rather small with no bidet in bathroom. There was a very nice adjoining terrace with a small pool, However the hotel used this for hosting events so that on Saturday and Sunday night a dj and lots of non residents msking a lot of noise until very late. On Tuesday tbey hosted a similar drinks party on tbe terrsce but it finished about 8pm.
As viditors to the hotel we were not warned about theses events nor invited to attend. The downside was that after the events the terrace was out of use to hotel guests because thr sun beds and other furnisbings had been removrd and it took more than 24 hours for them to be replaced.

Amazing food. Close to the beach.

Good hotel close to the beach and about a 10 minute walk to Sitges centre and station.
The food was amazing with a variety of dishes to choose from. Well worth going full board.
