The hotel is older but still very pretty. It was clean. Although there was some water damage around the shower enclosure. The closet was spacious. Although it is a smaller room(older buildings do tend to have smaller rooms) they had added some extra ledges to place your things on. Like over the head board of the bed, over the heat radiator, and over the desk. The location is good. Many people were enjoying sitting out front enjoying coffee and cocktails. Our frustration came with the parking. We had a rental car so when we saw there was parking on the hotel information, that was why we booked the one night stay before leaving for the airport the next day. It was 20€ to park. And it was 1.5km (if I remember correctly) away. Which isn’t far, that’s true. We had been driving for 9 hours that day and had to leave early in the morning so that just added some frustration. It was in a parking garage, which is nice. But it was no easy task getting down to level -2 level. I lost sleep worrying about whether we could even get out in the morning. Because if cars parked around us, I wasn’t sure we could get the car out of the tight space! Thankfully, no one parked too close and we got out. Again, the hotel was nice, staff was very helpful and friendly and it is a lovely location!
(We had a room that faced another building so we didn’t really enjoy the ocean view and we didn’t have time to sit out front for a meal)

I’ll start with the positives, the location is super. Beachfront, beautiful looking hotel from the front.
The staff was all very friendly and pleasant.
Unfortunately this hotel needs modernising.
We’re regular visitors to the area and have stayed in far better hotels for half the price.
They are taking money but not putting it back into the hotel which is a shame.
It’s not a quaint hotel, it’s old and tired.
The cleaners in a morning couldn’t make anymore if they tried. The walls and doors are paper thin so it’s impossible sleep or lie in.
The electric buzzed all night long.
The smells from the bathroom was gross.
I could go on but I won’t.
Would not return.

This hotel is right across the street from the beach with many restaurants and shops around it in the winding streets. The room was small but clean and the location made it worth it! Everyone was helpful and friendly. We rented a covered beach lounge chair for a day and that was so worth it! The water was amazing. We took a bus to the airport - make sure to get the exact location for the bus pickup as it was about a 15 min walk from the hotel and was a bench spot. We thoroughly enjoyed our final 2 days of our holiday relaxing here!

What a cool old building so close to the beach. It has a lot of character. I like staying in a hotel sometimes that isn’t overly modern and this place has an interesting vibe I loved.

Location was perfect for us; literally you can walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. The hotel has a restaurant with full bar downstairs. Rooms and bed are small but clean.

Location is the reason i stayed on the beachfront and that it was a historical building. It was a little expensive in terms of the smallest and basic rooms, tiny beds and problems with the toilet and elevator. However the staff were wonderful in trying to resolve my access key card that would continue not yo work, hence multiple trips up and down 3 levels of stairs. The beds were firm and the showers were hot and the mini fridge was cold. A very basic room with a nice window view that was slightly expensive. The bar cafe downstairs was extremely handy and the service was ok to forgetful which seemed to match their woes with the elevator, toilet cistern, card reader and efficiency. I would stay again as i understand a bad day/s can happen. Further i think the rooms need some decor updates to add some character, which externally is beautiful.

Great hotel, amazing location and friendly team

The staff were amazing and worked tirelessly for all gusts. Nothing was too much trouble. I like the fact they take security seriously and challenge guests and visitors so prevent theft from rooms which I know has been a problem in Sitges. We had one of the double rooms which was clean and well appointed. I shared with my partner who is also a 6ft 4 and200lbs + so sharing a double bed was not easy or comfortable at times. But I believe bigger rooms and beds are available should you need them.

This is supposedly a smoke free hotel yet one of my rooms was wreaking of smoke and had to get a different one. In my room, although smoke free, during the day and night into early morning, the cigarette smoke from their patio serving area permeated the hotel and came up the hallways. It came into my room and was so bad I could not sleep or breath. I opened the balcony doors but the noise outside, since it was close to the streets and a big concert even, was so bad I could not get peace. So it would be until about 6AM when I could close the balcony doors that I could get a nap in but wasn't much. They need to close the lobby doors, or prohibit smoking on their patio/lobby areas. I won't stay here again and I do plan to return next year to Sitges.

The hotel staff were all notably polite and helpful. Two of the three rooms were excellent with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and working equipment. One room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, the bed mattress was worn out, and the tv and phone were broken. Staff did offer to change rooms for one of the two nights as there none available for the second night. The hotel location is superb - right along the beach with views of the ocean of your room includes a balcony.

Great hotel in Sitges

Hotel was convenient to all the great attractions that Sitges has to offer. It was also convenient to both the train station and the bus stop coming from Barcelona city or airport directly. Room was just enough. Bathroom was very clean with great little amenities. A/C worked very well. It's not a 5 start hotel, but it's clean, the staff is great and convenient all around. i would stay here again.

Very conveniently located, very friendly and helpful staff, located right across the street from the beach. As much of Europe is, very compact room, no parking but definitely a fun experience staying in the Sitges are of Barcelona!

Perfect beach front location with friendly staff. The air conditioner in my room quit working and I was moved to a second room with a working air conditiomer, but the bed was like sleering on a bumpy board and there was a foul oder coming from the bathroom that the staff tried to cover with a fragrant disinfective. The tv had only one English speaking channel. It was a cartoon channel. Don't be obsessed with a beach front hotel in Sitgea. Unless you pay big bucks, you are nor going to have an ocean view. There are many hotels a block or two from the beach that offer short walks down quaint interesting streets to the beach.

Excellently Located Hotel

Nice hotel although the room was quite small. Having said that, spotlessly clean and there were some nice little touches in the room on arrival which made it feel special for the price.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Shame I din't have a balcony or sea view but can't really complain as I was hardly ever in the room - only to sleep!

Good value, great location - no breakfast

Stayed in Sitges on my own after discovering it with some friends. Was an \"add on\" vacation so I needed to stay for a good price. This hotel was in the perfect location - right on the beach- and couldn't beat the price. Don't expect a great filling breakfast or premium bath amenities. Had good AC and bed was comfy.

Last minute booking turned out great!

This is a traditional Spanish hotel located right in the heart of all the action. You couldn't ask for a better location, right next to the beach and where all the convenient restaurants are. My room was clean, small, yet comfortable. I was hardly in it so I didn't ask for much. At night, the front desk is very strict with security. I appreciated it, it made the hotel feel very safe. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Sitges.

Convenient to beach & restaurants

I spent two nights, in August, as a single traveller. The Celimar has a small reception close to the breakfast room. The lady on the desk was pleasant and helpful. Room size was decent, with space all the way around the double bed.
There was adequate storage for clothes, and a room-safe. It has access to a small balcony, which has a table and two chairs. I would stay at the Celimar again, provided it was available at a competitive rate.

Lovely location, a bit dated and bed bugs...

We had an amazing trip to Sitges, and stayed here at the Celimar on the beach. The location of this hotel is amazing, just step out of the door, cross the road and you're on the beach. The exterior looks lovely, and there are good hotels nearby. Unfortunately however the cleanliness of the bedrooms was a little poor, we ended up with many tens of bites from bed bugs, and the interior is quite dated. This hotel was probably amazing it's time but could do with a bit of work.

Great place to stay if you want to go to the beach and of you want to go out at night. The hotel has small rooms and small bathrooms but you can't beat the location. A plus is a very good breakfast and very friendly staff. I would stay there again for sure. It's more like a 3 stars hotel overall.

The character of the building and the room are very old. The air vent in the bathroom looked liked it had 10 years of dust on it. The faucet an hair dyer were hard to operate and did not always work properly. The free WIFI could only be used in the lobby and didn't always work.

The staff was the best part of the hotel. There was one slender woman with short black hair and glasses that was so kind and fun to talk to. She also made good recommendations. Morning breakfast was nice.

Overall, it was a nice place to stay because I had my own room and bathroom with a great location. But not really worth the money unless you get a room with a view.

central location - but small room

I have been to Sitges several times before & booked late this time, giving a limited choice of hotels. I knew already the location of this hotel & it looks lovely from the front. It was not bad, but the room was a little poky with no internet access (you can get wifi downstairs) - but was here for business & leisure. The price was a little over I thought compared to the size of the room. Also had to pay Euro 20 / day for parking at their other hotel a few streets away. The location could not be better - though there are several other hotels also nearby, but do not think I would rush back here. No specific complaints - just nothing great either. On the other hand - Sitges is wonderful - vibrant with plenty of great restaurants around - recommended especially - Al Fresco a couple of streets back!

Exceeding expectations in comfort, superb location

This hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and quality of service. Personnel more than just helpful and provided friendly and warm approach.
Location is magnificent, beach is just across the road and many fine or budget restaurants are in the range of 200m. Beach is of family type, low water levels and clean sand is heaven for small children.

Highly advisable for a economy conscious travelers, three stars felt like four in this charming small hotel, although breakfast is average the personnel make up the difference with their warm and charming approach to clients.

I'm planning to come back with the rest of my family

Great beachfront hotel for a great price!

We only stayed one night at Hotel Celimar, but wish it could've been more! It was a very nice hotel with a complimentary breakfast buffet. RIGHT ON THE BEACH. I highly recommend this place and hope to return some day.

Good things come in small packages

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Celimar.It's location on the beach and in walking distance to everything in town, from tourist spots to grocery shopping made it very convenient.The breakfast ,which is included, was a wonderful sampling of the regional cuisine. I even made my own a \"Pa amb tomaquet\"! The only downside of the hotel is that the rooms are very small for two people.A stand for the suitcases would help utilize the space better. That said, we would choose this hotel again because of the great location and friendly, helpful staff.

Great Location, Tiny Room

Great hotel, location can't be beat...directly across from the beach and close to every point of attraction worth visiting. However, my room, which was on the firt floor, was teeny tiny and a tad noisy on a Saturday night. Given all of this; I can't wait to go back.
