There was a fantastic view of the bay and sandy beaches from the dining room.The hotel is very central but quiet and the food was very tasty with plenty of variety.The pool areas and planted areas are well maintained and attractive.I would stay here again.

At this hotel the staff are polite,friendly and helpful it's located in an ideal position with lots of amenities in the area. Some of the rooms have been refurbished,they are spacious clean and have basic cooking facilities. There are 2 pools and plenty of sunbeds there is a very relaxed feel about this hotel

We had a very spacious one bedroom apartment with a partial sea view (room 371). The room was a little dated but that didn’t bother us. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities in the room were great.

Breakfast in the restaurant was also very good.

We would stay here again.

The hotel is in a great location close to the beach and promenade. There are many shops and restaurants in the area. I arrived in the evening only to be told I had to wait at least fifteen minutes for a receptionist to return from a break before I could check in - it seems the reception is not properly staffed at all times, as the person who greeted me could not deal with check ins. I later discovered she was part of the entertainment team! My suite was lovely- lots of space, tv with many channels including UK regulars and decent bathroom. The lounge area led to a balcony as did the bedroom, but the latter had a single door that opened on to it, and this was not lockable as it had a key completed jammed into the lock on the inside. Preferring to sleep using the bed in the lounge area I had to use two wooden cube coffee tables to wedge up the bedroom door handle as a security measure! The hotel had a pleasant pool area with sunbeds and the grounds were extensive. The restaurant had wonderful buffet offerings for both breakfast and dinner. It was very well run- tables well spaced, excellent service from the manager and all waiting staff but the female chefs were quite rude and almost hostile. The cleaners on the complex did a good job as did one particular female receptionist. The life guard / attendant at the pool area had a main concern of listening to music at the volume he desired rather than laying out sunbeds for arriving guests. Handy supermarket across the road.

Stayed on a B&B basis and was impressed with the breakfast.
Unfortunately there is construction work directly next door so from 8am there is a lot of noise and as it’s only just started looks like it may well be 2-3 YEARS before completion.We stayed in block 11 which was yards away from the site as is blocks 7,8,9,10 so message hotel for a low block.

On the positive side the breakfast was good with a lovely view of the sea, the WIFI was very good.
Unfortunately the building site next door was very noisy
we couldn’t access the lift because of an accident which the police had caution off the atrium area.
Also the balustrade stairs going up near the breakfast area broken away
The main pool was closed whilst we where their so overall a very poor experience

Constant hammering, even at 8.15 am
Pool drained for maintenance for a week, sunbeds cordoned off, bar not open for snacks and drinks
No facilities for the week
Had to change rooms due to flood in bathroom
Hotel not fit to have guests whilst maintenance is being done to such an extent
Was not informed about it before we travelled
Very unhappy, not a restful holiday!

Stayed in galeon before you can’t go wrong for cleanliness towels every two days bedding every three days great for kids as well as there is a kids club in the day and in the bar there is different theme nights every night ( bingo karaoke quiz night etc) plenty to do at night bars restaurants the hotel is on the doorstep to the beach plenty of sun beds can’t go wrong with this hotel

Fantastic location. Room good. Only used the apartment to sleep in so didn't use the kitchenette. The breakfast was fantastic. Tasty and lots of choice. Nice coffee from machine.Went to dinner once but didn't think there was much choice however we are quite fussy eaters.

No way was this a superior apartment.Bathroom door wouldn't open properly from the inside.One wok or frying paan and one stock pot to cook8n.No anti slip mat in bath.No tea or coffee on arrival.Been here ɓefore but gone down in my opinion.Won't be back.

fantastic hotel located right on the sea front in Costa Teguise. Rooms are quiet some size, with a huge balcony that easily accommodates 2 sun loungers and a table and chairs and still have plenty of space. Wifi was occasionally a little hit or miss but nothing too bad. TV only has 2(?) English language channels, but I wasn't there to watch TV. Mircowave and a kettle inside the room too. Bathroom had plenty of space. Huge wardrobe, so more than enough space for your clothes. There was a safe in their room, but you had to go to reception and pay for the use of it. Most hotels in the world let you use them for free! Breakfast and dinner were buffet style affairs. Breakfast pretty much the same every morning but dinner was always something different everyday. You wouldn't get bored with the food. Drinks you had to pay for but nothing expensive at all. Couple of pools dotted around the complex, so you should always find a spot somewhere. There is a bar, the Atlantic Bar, that offered free and daily entertainment for you to enjoy. Quiz, bingo, singer, that kind of thing. All staff very friendly too. The girls who run the entertainment side of things, really know their stuff and are customer orientated. The little girl with the crazy fuzzy hair is the best! The only bad thing I could say is the use of the safe, which in this day ad age should really be free, otherwise this is a great hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Good value, but beware of no WiFi in room

We had a nice stay overall. Breakfast was better than expected and a good value. Our room had no WiFi coverage which was a huge disappointment, especially since the WiFi was so slow in the common areas that we couldn't even do larger downloads to enjoy entertainment in our room. It could have been a big issue if any of us had needed to do any work while travelling (which we often do). The beds were very uncomfortable, but the room was fine otherwise. Some things to be aware of: Our room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator and housekeeping was not provided every day.

Hotel location was in a great place and the hotel was kept well. The outside building painting needs attention especially on the restaurant side it was all yellow and flacking off. Nice hotel - I liked that it was quite small compared to some of its huge neighbours. There wasn’t quite enough shade offered around the pool - could use more than the six or so parasols that get nabbed at 9am every morning. Also I had to unstack my own sunbed from the pile every day, which as a solo traveller is awkward. The pool is lovely. Could do without the annoying entertainment staff who no one seem to welcome the attention of. Food was okay, not a huge amount of choice but it’s not a very large complex. It was clean and tidy throughout and the location is fantastic, right beside one of the nicest little beaches I have ever been on and a little supermarket. Reception staff were lovely and welcoming.

Great hotel, friendly reception staff, large apartment and clean. Really good location as not far from the airport and 2 beaches close by. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, yet no noise at night which was a plus. Only down side is that there aren't enough plug sockets, and no air con in the bedroom, the hotel provides a fan to plug in which did help. Overall, a great stay. They even left a bottle of wine and happy bday note for us as a surprise.

Nice big room, great location...

Nice room, good beds, had a ground floor patio area on the corridor, not so private but nice to have your room in a convenient location! WiFi worked well, didn’t have A/C (you can rent a fan) and no hairdryer (rent also) which is a bit stingy, but property was nice, shower was good, kitchen area for cooking/eating etc... Ash tray for smoking outside if you want, so that’s a plus point.
The location is very, very good as well, the centre of Costa Teguise so lots of eateries and bus stops nearby.
So long as it’s not too hot, this property suits the bill for many trips, especially families, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Pros: The room was nicely decorated, seemed recently refurbished. It was a suite with no kitchenette but it had a fridge and a microwave. It had views to the pool. Staff were very welcoming and very kind. And we could use the changing room and showers after checking out, so could enjoy the beach a little longer. Very nice touch.
Cons: We had breakfast included only and the quality of food was not good. They did have different milk options, dairy, diary free and lactose free which was good but pastries were packaged, not fresh, biscuits and cereals were not original but similar brands not tasting the same. There was no fresh fruit everyday, most of the days was just canned fruit well presented. Just one type of cheese, gouda, but many meat options, I’m a vegetarian so it was just one type of cheese for me. Scrambled eggs were a purée, only a couple of days they were ok. As a vegetarian my only options were bread with eggs or beans everyday. No vegan/veg option sausages or bacon, buffet full of meat.
About the room service, there was no room service everyday. The shower tray did not keep the water so it splashed everywhere so the floor mat was soaked after every shower. We had to use the hand towels for the floor but they were not changed everyday so we could use the hand towels one day out of two. We ran out of coffee sachets, they serviced the room but didn’t replenish, we had to ask for it. Very annoying. Ended up buying our own.

Great stay. Lovely refurbished one bed apartment in a great location. We upgraded to the ‘superior one bed apartment’ which meant we had sun beds on our balcony instead of table and chairs. This was well worth it! Would stay again and highly recommend. Only thing to call out is there is no air conditioning which meant in August it was quite warm at night. I do think you can rent a fan from reception if needed.

Liked the notice saying \"if sun beds were left unused for more than half and hour, they could be taken over by other people\", except that the rule was ignored by the lifeguard! Not a problem as it was February and the apartments weren't full.

The aparthotel was generally good, the staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate although repetitive, wasn't quite sure how many times the ham and cheese had been brought out and taken back into the kitchen.The communal areas indoors and around the pool were clean and tidy. On the down side, the restaurant was a good walk away, mainly outdoors(blown away in a gale).The bathroom of our apartment was dirty, with mould on the tiles and a very ingrained shower tray. Our request to have the bathroom thoroughly cleaned resulted in the corners being given an extra wipe. The patio windows were filthy, inside and out, including in between the double glazing (seals broken down) and it gave the whole room an unclean and shabby vibe

While the reception staff were excellent the constant playing of the same techno music from 10.30 am to 5.30pm everyday was just mind numbing. This was despite several requests to change it. Strange really as most of the guests were middle ages and above. Ruined what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay. Had to leave the hotel everyday and go to the beach to escape the sun.

Another Fantastic Stay at Galeon Playa

We are just back from another fantastic stay at Galeon Playa. The staff at the hotel are simply brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and they are only too willing to help.
Accommodation is good and the rooms are well equipped with everything you need for a holiday in the sun. We cook about half of our meals in the apartment and find that we have just about everything we need for preparing simple meals.
My only downside on this visit was that the mattress on my bed sagged in the middle (by quite a lot). Other than that, everywhere was clean and tidy and we have come back feeling refreshed.

Our 2 bed apartment was absolutely stunning. There were toys in it for our 2 year old boy which he loved. Upon arrival into the apartment was the smell from the bathroom. I said it to receptionist and she sent a afy immediately to try and sort it. Was told that the smell was always worse when winds were high and we were there during windy period.
It improved after we were told to leaved the plug ijn the sink to prevent the smell from rising.
There were only a few children there but Bea (Beatrix) in the childrens club was absolutely amazing. She entertained our little boy with ease.
Now for the pool area. On our first day, we went to the kids pool near the playground and all was going well until my boy began to run on the tiles to wards the big pool. I ran after him and the two of us slipped. The tiles were unbelievably slippy. So bad that it turned me off going to the pool for the remainder of the week. We then went to the beach instead which my boy also loved. I really would like to think that tile area around the pools could be changed. It was my biggest flaw for the apartements. But in my opinion a very important one.
The staff in the hotel were absolutely amazing. Our littles boy got sick one night and within 10 minutes of ringing reception, there were fresh bed clothes for him. Top notch service. Over all our apartment was stunning but unfortunately unless the tile area around the pool were changed in some way i would be slow to return. Staff were amazing though.

Swimming pool was excellent, clean and well maintained. Balcony was of a decent size with enough furniture for comfortable relaxation. Only criticism of the property would be the cleanliness of the bathroom.

Good, could be great.

Overall we felt for the price charged this hotel was good and with a few changes could be great.

The Good: Great location with easy access to two beaches. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool and common areas kept spotless. Decent cleaning in the room. Spacious Apartment.

The Bad: We had a 2 Bed Apartment for which none are refurbished as yet (the refurb rooms look great but unfortunately not an option for us), very tired and in desperate need of the refurb. Beds were rock hard. Food was very basic (reminded me of school canteen food) with limited choice.

Once everything is refurbed and if the food was improved it would be great.

Good hotel
Clean and tidy, nice swimming pools with plenty of beds
available. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
If the rooms had air conditioning it would be perfect.

We had a 2 bed family apartment and it was perfect - even had toys for the little one, the beds were super comfy and the bedrooms were quiet - hardly ever heard the neighbours. The complex is kept very tidy and has everything you could possibly need. All of the staff that we met were friendly and super helpful, we would defiantly stay here again.
