Location is in a quiet village. Dinner was good, service was excellent. Breakfast strange options and no toaster and was declined when asked if bread could be toasted. Gorgeous views of Lake Lucerne and a wonderful restaurant that we had a great dinner and breakfast. The only negative I have is we stayed there on a very warm night and with no air conditioning the rooms on the top floor were very warm. If we stayed there any other (cooler) night I probably give it a 5 star review.

Very basic room, small, much too hot, like an oven and we couldn't open the windows or we'd get eaten alive by mosquitoes! Breakfast was largely inedible as the meat and cheese were crawling with flies, leaving only bread and jam as a \"safe to eat\" option. Despite having prepaid for 2 nights we checked out after 1 as it was impossible to sleep in the room for another night.

Lovely hotel in an idyllic setting by Lake Lucerne. Only a one night stay on our journey from Italy to Uk which was a shame as the hotel is so good. Nice room, views over the lake, comfortable, clean and a lovely breakfast next morning. Good selection of continental breakfast plus scrambled egg or boiled eggs. Coffee machine provided the best cappucino ever. We arrived too late in the evening to use the restaurant but it looked lovely .Reception team are excellent too so friendly & efficient. We will definitely visit again. Good parking too

Schöne Lage aber ungepflegte Zimmer
Zuerst zum Positiven: Die Lage ist sehr schön, direkt am See und der Service auf der Terrasse war aufmerksam und freundlich.
Andererseits war es schade, dass die Wiese mit den Sitzmöglichkeiten am See nicht bewirtet war (das kann bei mässigem Wetter gut nachvollzogen werden) aber auch nicht gepflegt wirkte. Im Häuschen war ein riesiges Durcheinander und auch das Mobiliar wirkte nicht gepflegt. Darüber kann man aufgrund des wunderbaren Ausblicks jedoch hinweg sehen.
Was aber gar nicht geht, war das Zimmer. Im Bett waren gelbe Flecken (zum Glück unter!) unter dem Fixleintuch zu erkennen, dennoch war dies nicht einladend. Das Kissen war enorm dick und sehr unbequem, ein Zweites dünneres gab es nicht. Die Toilette war nicht sauber, es klebten noch Haare dran. Das schlimmste waren aber die Fugen der Dusche, diese und auch die Gummilippen waren verschimmelt und dreckig. Diese müssten dringend neu gemacht werden! Ebenfalls löste sich der Gummi Lichtschalter auf, das war eklig zum anfassen.
Alles in allem: Für eine Nacht geht es und ich hoffe, es sind nicht alle Zimmer gleich schlimm. Dennoch für rund 200.-- pro Nacht ist das nicht akzeptabel. Schade für das Hotel an der schönen Lage, es müssten dringend die Details in den Zimmern erledigt werden, damit man sich wohl fühlt!

A classic hotel right on the shore of Vierwaldstädtersee, with an amazing view of the lake and the mountains. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Parking included in the price. Clean. Towels changed every day. Good wifi. The ferry to Gersau departs right from the spot.

This was an excellent hotel , we had a family room , which consisted of a separate single bed and a king bed in the very large lounge area , and 2 separate bathrooms , the balconies looked out onto both the lake and sideways at the hills , the only thing it didn’t have was air conditioning, but they did provide fans in both rooms , it was over 30 degrees for our visit , so not sure if that’s normal , we used the restaurant for one evening meal and the food was lovely , and one member of staff went above and beyond , explaining in English what things were , not sure if her name . The receptionist that greeted us was also fantastic, even lent us an adapter as I did not realise Switzerland had a different plug adapter to the uk , the lake area had lots of sunloungers , a bar and you could swim in the lake from some steps ,would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone

This property is situated on a stunning lake. The customer service experience was inconsistent. The food at the restaurant was fantastic; however, they closed the kitchen at 9:30 PM, even on weekends. Hotel guests would benefit greatly if they were given priority for reservations or dining at the restaurant, or if the kitchen hours were extended. Additionally, the hotel should invest in air conditioning for the rooms, as they tended to be warm during the night.

The staff were fantastic and both are evening meal and breakfast was very good. I guess they it was unfortunate that we visited in the middle of a heat wave as having no air conditioning and only a fan held together by gaffer tape brought our rating down. Swimming in the lake was fun.

Room was ok. Small and needed some updating. Beds weren't very comfortable and pillows are very flat and small. (most places we stayed were like that though). The balcony we had overlooked the lake (outdoor terrace was beneath us and sitting areas that you can use down near the lake. They had several lounge chairs and couches down near the water. Beautiful view from our room. Breakfast buffet (fruit/lox/breads/croissants, some sweets/jams/cereal/coldcuts/cheeses) was included and was very good. Love the coffee/expresso/cappuccino machines that all the hotels have. We walked around to the lake picnic area down the road (20 minutes). Went to Lucerne for the day. Everything closes early (stores, some restaurants) in Switzerland so start out early.

Not to the standard expected
The position of the hotel was not lakeside as expected although the view from balcony was exceptional. Our large room was ill-equipped with only one chair at the desk, no armchairs, only one socket that was already in use for an essential lamp standard, (an extension lead was eventually found hidden behind the wall mounted TV). The bathroom was very small with a very small shower area with a glass door that would nor close properly and a WC. The wash basin was in the bedroom. The hotel had been informed in advance that my wife needed a gluten-free diet. This was emphasized on arrival and again on ordering dinner but when the ordered dish was delivered and queried it turned out that it contained gluten and was not suitable. My wife had a meal of starter only.

Stayed for 1 night. Had a late check-in due to flight but was still accommodated. Check-out was easy. Breakfast was delicious. The room was tidy and was spacious enough for two people with two large suitcases. The closet space was good. The bathroom was clean. Didn’t need heating not sure if it works. The view from the room and from the dining area is the best part. Hotel has elevators and stairs. Parking available out in front of hotel.

We booked two adjacent rooms for us and the children as an intermediate stop for our trip back home from Italy to NL. We arrived around 16:00 and we had some drinks on the terrasse. It has a beautiful view over the lake. Diner was also good. The pricing is probably normal for CH, but we paid around 315 Euro for a main course meal, two deserts, 4 Aperol spritz drinks, 3 bottles of water and 3 plates of olives/ bread. It’s still expensive compared to Italy of Netherlands. The outside temperate was 27 Celsius, and the rooms did not have climate control. So we hardly slept. It was too warm. The window was open, but then we had the noise from the road. So in conclusion: A nice place, but not perfect.

Great location. Right next to the lake. A 3 min walk to the bus stop that connects you to Stans, and there on, a train, to Luzern or Engleberg. Rooms are a little small, but tidy. Breakfast is ok. Friendly staff. Definitely suggested, if you are.looking for a quiet and relaxed getaway.

The lake view from the window and restaurant is magnificent! The extra 30 mins drive paid off! Bed is comfy, the extra single bed for my 11 yo daughter is good size. Cleanliness is good enough to ease my OCD. Check in & out staffs were very friendly, only the room cleaning lady surprised us without knocking. Overall I must say it was a great deal with breakfast, parking plus the lake view. There is a little resting park just a minute drive on the right which is definitely worth some photos!

This is a wonderful hotel situated in a small town just off the motorway The room looking out at the lake was lovely. They provided a mat and a bowl for our dog which was a nice touch. Parking on site is easy the breakfast fabulous. All the staff are friendly and so helpful. Will definitely return if passing again, but would stay longer to see more of the area.

The hotel was great, the lake view beautiful, friendly staff, nice included breakfast. Dog friendly (we had our two fur babies with us). The only complaint was that being a vegan there were no vegan options on the menu. They did try to accommodate me with a pasta dish but it wasn’t good at all though I appreciated the effort. The restaurant and drink prices are quite high but Switzerland is expensive. You need a car for that location. All in all a nice stay.
