If heaven had a franchise, it would be here. The only problem is we lost an Apple product and could see it move away (likely taken by staff since it was in spa robes) but the staff didn’t offer any compensation. That was the only down side.

Bürgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa exceeded expectations. Gorgeous and modern design with amazing amenities. Had beautiful views of the Lucerne Lake, which never disappointed at sunset or sunrise. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive.

I’ve stayed at several 5 star hotels around the world including Four Seasons, Belmond — and this place is truly special!

Our stay at the property was very disappointing and definitely not worth the exorbitant price being charged.

A week before our stay, the hotel informed us that several pools, restaurants and facilities would no longer be available as they had a hotel wide event the day before and would be packing up. In addition, when we arrived to check in after 3pm, we were told our room was unavailable as they were still cleaning up post the event. The check in staff were dismissive of our concerns and quite rude.

Whilst the spa and the location of the hotel is amazing, at over $2,500 per night, the service was poor and the amount of guests meant that there was always a long wait for breakfast, drinks or any assistance from staff. It did not feel exclusive or worth the price tag, and we have had significantly better experiences for far less money.

Beautiful views from the property and spa, particularly from the infinity pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. They really made our stay as part of our anniversary trip special and we hope to go back for longer some time. The included catamaran to Lucerne was a nice day out. They were also very dog friendly and provided a good quality dog bed.

Spa is over the top amazing!!!!!!! Scenery is breathtaking!!!
Transportation by catamaran and funicular to the resort was fun! Food was amazing. Drinks were pretty, but weak. Service team was spectacular! (ONLY complaint I might have is our particular pillows that we chose were a little musty smelling.) The hike up to the lift was perfect. Would return again in a heartbeat!

Room is great, but for a family room, there's only one toilet, one shower room, not suitable for the need of family. Also the curtain is broken on the first day, we reported, but never get it fixed.

The other problem is that the restautrant always attracts flies, bugs when serving food/drinks.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon and had the most incredible experience. We got the Burgenstock Boat across Lake Lucerne and then the Funicular up the mountain. We were kindly escorted to our Executive room with Panorama view (to which we were very kindly upgraded to for our honeymoon by Andreas). The room was beautifully furnished with an incredible view over the lake and mountains. The fireplace was a great addition and was also visible from the bathtub. The bathroom was large and spacious with excellent amenities.

There was a huge variety of options at breakfast and the food was delicious. We were made a customized fresh juice by the cheerful Giudetta which was amazing. The view from breakfast is also incredible if you get a seat by the window.

What we enjoyed most about the hotel were the amazing spa facilities including the infinity pool (which is heated). My wife loved the fact that you could go into the outdoor infinity pool and then back into the heated indoor area without leaving the pool. it was worth every single penny this is the most beautiful hotel I've ever been! the view is OUTSTANDING and mind blowing! i recommend any visitor to use the boat and the funicular to go to the hotel from Lucerne that makes the experience even better.

Everything was perfect except when I went down to the front desk because my key card suddenly stopped working and the guy working at the front desk asked me 3 times where my hotel was and if it was the palace hotel. I clearly showed him the key card that belonged to the alpine spa and said my hotel is here. I felt judged based on how I looked and offended.

Worth every outrageous penny! This hotel is not so much a hotel as a once in a lifetime experience. Of course, the rooms are lovely, 5-Star, with jaw dropping views. But that is just the start. What really sets this place apart
Is the 2-story spa with indoor/outdoor infinity pool. Rain or shine (and we had both), the S.p.A. sparked a lot of vacation joy. We had very high expectations and the Bürgenstock exceeded them

Too strict for photo taking at Alpine Spa. We arrive late, thus can only use it after 5pm, which already past the photo time, but it was empty, so we took some photos but got scold by staffs, and forbid us from taking anymore photos even the pool is empty and we were disturbing nobody.

It has big big bath tub, small fireplace in the room.
Facilities were great. infinity Spa pool, cinema, furnicular, ice skating, tennis etc. Perfect experience!

Only negative thing i could say is the food.
Breakfast buffet is great, Asian restaurant was okay except the sushi roll(not fresh and rice is dry)
But the french restaurant was way to slow and not that good. we had two course for 2 hours. different from other part of hotels, this restaurant staffs werent very friendly and so slow working and i was falling asleep during the meal, waiting for the main dish. we were seriously scared to order dessert.

Our stay here was one of the best weekends I have had. The room was so beautiful, very clean, and with amazing views. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed. The Alpine Spa was wonderful and the time spent in the Spa massively contributed to our lovely stay. The scenery was beyond beautiful and the walk up to Europe's tallest lift was extremely scenic. I would so highly recommend a stay in this wonderful resort

We just spent 3,5 day at the resort and absolutely loved it. The property and the views are are stunning. The quality of food and it’s presentation is the best we’ve ever seen. The staff is incredible and super helpfull and nice. The spa is state of the art and out of this world. We loved loved and absolutely loved this resort and hope to be back soon!

Birthday treat

I booked the hotel and spa on line as a birthday treat for my wife. The overall experience was excellent.
The room had a lakeside view and was superb! The staff couldn’t be more helpful and were mostly professional.
There were however a few things which were disappointing for a hotel of this standard
1. The travel directions to the hotel were, in my opinion not clear. I had the e mail the consierge to learn that a ferry departed from pier 3, followed by a fernicular railway ride to the resort. Only a minor inconvenience but if t could have been made clear in the hotel literature .
2. Use of the steam spa and sauna . This was a big disappointment. After spending
Some time in the pool and superb out door jaccuzzzi my wife and I decided we would like to experience the sauna and steam room , only to find that both are mixed sex and naked areas . We are not prudes but my
Wife felt uncomfortable in this situation with strangers as it is unheard of in the UK . What is really disappointing is that we were only made aware of this at the time of use . I can find no mention of this in the hotels literature or in the signage actually in the area . Again for a hotel of this standard the information provided is, in my opinion unacceptable .
This is a top quality hotel in a superb location and we didn’t let these disappointments spoil the overall experience but they certainly took away the wow factor the visit created in many other ways

Perfect way to end European trip

This is the ultimate hotel. Our only problem was with the flies in the dining area at all meals. We have stayed at the hotel many times over the years and never encountered this before so we attribute it to a weather issue. I do think that the staff could have put fly strips up in unnoticeable places to help with the problem.

Mon séjour s’est très bien passé ! La chambre était propre et bien entretenue, avec une climatisation efficace, ce qui est très appréciable. Le personnel était accueillant et toujours disponible. O hotel é simplesmente sensacional! Atendimento impecável. Fomos com nosso filho de 9 meses e atenderam todas as solicitações, inclusive ao fazer refeições para ele sem sal.

O hotel fica no alto de uma montanha então o ideal é ter um carro para se locomover caso queira visitar Lucerna (20 minutos de carro do hotel), pois Uber quase não aceita corridas para o hotel.

Apesar disto, a estrutura do hotel é sensacional! Comida muito boa, todos os funcionários extremamente cordiais e dispostos a ajudar.

Internet de alta qualidade, cama extremamente confortável, chuveiro com ótima pressão, enfim, tudo ótimo!

Nach wie vor ein hervorragendes Resort in tollem Zustand. Das Frühstück ist als exzellent zu bezeichnen! Da wir bereits seit Jahren kommen, kennen wir auch die nach unserer Meinung „besten Zeiten“ der Restaurants. Leider sind während der Wintersaison viel zu wenig Restaurants offen - das waren in dem Fall nur 2 plus die Bar in der Lobby. Wir waren nicht die einzigen Gäste, die nicht unter gebracht werden konnten. Dies war sehr ärgerlich, da es sehr beschwerlich ist nach Luzern zu kommen. Die dortige Auswahl an Restaurants ist ebenfalls nicht gut. Leider hat auch die Qualität des Essens stark abgenommen, insbesondere im Restaurant Oak Grill, das Restaurant Spices kann aktuell auch nicht recht überzeugen. Wenn die Restaurants wieder bei alter Qualität sind, ist aus unserer Sicht wirklich alles mit 5/ 5 Sternen zu bewerten.
