The room was cheap for hotels in Luzern. You definitely do get what you pay for. The bed is quite uncomfortable. The room is small and tight. Simple things like towels were lacking. They supplied us with two body towels and no hand towels. Not a great place to stay but a cheaper way to see a beautiful but expensive city.

Clean rooms. Reasonable price for the amenities you get. They only have a handsoap and toilet papers as your amenities. Hair dryer would need a deposit to borrow. Bus stop right in front. Don't plan to walk from the train station with your luggages as it is on an uphill. Compared to hotels around the area charging crazy amount for a night, this hotel provided clean, comfortable bed for a reasonable price. One negative was that the shower temperature would fluctuate from getting cold then to super hot then warm and cold again.

Great Location and Service with Free Transport

While the room was somewhat small, it was great in the sense of all the lights and the ability to control them from your bed. Additionally each side of the bed as well as the top of the bunk bed have their own lights as well. It was a great stay overall. We only had the breakfast one day but it was good. Highly recommend as not far away from the bus stop and they provided a free bus pass for us to use in Luzern during our stay (since we trained and did not have a car)

The hotel should be called the micro hotel. The rooms are smaller than a prison cell with no place to put any luggage. The shower, sink and toilet is all open in the same small room. It was clean enough and the staff was helpful but they could not make the room big enough for two people. Maybe ok if all you are bringing is a backpack.

Location is not the best, as you have to walk 15min from train station. Room was alright, not spacious but did the job. One thing is they wanted a 20 euro deposit for hair dryer (as there is no hair dryer in room), weird, that's a first for me. They also asked for 20 or 25 euro for early check-in, I said we can wait, then they gave us the room since its ready, and its only an hour and half till the 'official' check-in time.

We upgraded to the biggest room last-minute after reading about the smaller room size on the internet, and we are so glad we did! Facilities were very clean, and the hotel was walkable to the station and the Luzern city centre. The only complaint we would have was the wifi kept dropping in and out, maybe due to the location of our room.

For the most part, everything was just fine or average. The breakfast was fairly minimal compared to other european hotels, but was sufficient for a budget option. The cleanliness was good. The room was not a bad size but the bed could have been more comfortable and it was constantly warm/hot in the room even with air conditioning on full.

Also was not very happy with the hot water situation in the shower…the temperature kept jumping around from too hot to too cold the whole time without adjusting the tap. For a room that cost me more than $800 Australian dollars a night…I think it SHOULD have been top notch!

This is a budget hotel. The rooms are very small, with small cubicles for shower and toilet. A curtain divides the beds from the shower & toilet doors.

There are no bedside tables, or tea/coffee making facilities. Two small paper cups were provided.
The room was very clean, and the beds are comfortable. Large, white soft towels provided.

The blow dryer needed to be requested from Reception (after paying a 20CHF deposit - which was returned when blowdryer was returned).
3.5CHF was charged to store luggage.

My recommendation would be to avoid this property if you can. The was a ghost effect with the lights where they would turn on on it's on even after multiple tries. The staff at one time shut of the light at mid night and woke us up with an option to move to a different location (not room but a different hotel). All in the middle of night with a kid. At one time they also joked (assume they did) about ghosts. I would recommend to stay away from this place.

The place was very accessible by bus #4 from the Lucerne train station. Very good selection of restaurants nearby and a supermarket next to it- to replenish your snacks and maybe lunch before you head out to your activities.

The lift was not working when we checked in but later fixed the next day. The floor leading to our room had a small elevation that it is actually a trip hazard.

Breakfast was adequate for continental option. The lady who was in charge for the food wore a glove that she never removed- she closed all the windows then prepared the cold meats without changing her gloves. She never smiled and when I asked for English tea bag- she answered ‘all finished’!. She then went to get bread and drink to eat whilst wearing the same glove!

Staff at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping were top notch! A complimentary water would have been appreciated owing to the very hot weather. The aircon dial was either not working or controlled as we could not adjust the temperature. It suddenly goes hot in the middle of the night.

Good area to stay if you are on a budget.

A pretty standard ibis budget. Not too far from main station and you get a free transport pass for the buses. Supermarket nearby. They charge you for storing bags before check-in. Room was nice - definitely small for 3 people. While it was fine overall, it was definitely extremely expensive, although that is reflective of prices in Luzern.

Family room for three had only enough room for one adult one kid- not three adults. Anytime someone wanted to go to bathroom we all need to rearrange. There was no room for bags. It was hot in the lobby and the room. They charged 20$ for early entry of 25 minutes although there was no where to sit in the reception. The shower and sink were not in a separate room but near beds separated by a curtain. The shower had a mind of its own alternating between hot and cold. The toilet had a door separating from beds but it didn’t latch. It was too small and hot so sleep was difficult. The location is about a 15 minute walk from train station and 10 minute walk to a bike rental.

The hotel was a bus ride away from train station which was a little inconvenient. When we got to hotel at 12:00 we were told our room was available but it was too early to check in. We were given 2 options: pay 3 CHF per bag for the front desk to hold our bags or we could pay 20CHF if we wanted to check in early. The next day I needed a hair dryer and had to give a $20 deposit at front desk to borrow the hairdryer, which was returned when I returned hair dryer. The staff that we encountered were all super super nice and friendly, they were just following the hotel policy regarding checkin and hairdryer. The breakfast was just ok. Yogurt, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, no toaster, juices. The room was super small. The shower is right next to the bed so when you step out of the shower you are standing right next to the bed. The sink is in the bedroom because there really isn’t a bathroom. I can’t say I would recommend this hotel but the staff was wonderful!

This hotel deserves one star rating or even less. There is so much discomfort staying in this hotel. The bathroom and toilet are two separate small cages. The air conditioning is terrible and one will feel suffocating as the supply and exhaust short circuits. The room has wall socket that barely charge one cell phone. The room is so tiny that one immediately forgets everything good about Luzern the moment one enters the room. There are no amenities. The good part is about the supporting staff. They were helpful.

It was alright. One of the two of us would be happy to go back.

Each of us thought the breakfast was a little weak, for different reasons. But at least one of us thought it was still good enough. Some gluten-free oats would be good... and not expensive to add. I'm told they do have gf bread upon request. The price of breakfast was competitive.

The room seemed to get a bit hot at night. There seemed to be an A/C thermostat but it was unclear if it was working. Opening a window helped. But that risks, on lower floors, bugs entering the room, and on a rainy day, moisture.

The room was a little tight, but manageable.

I think the room included no conventional chairs but working on a computer in bed worked okay.

A fan for the toilet would be good, but it worked out okay.

We didn't try the shower. At least one of us valued that we had a shower and toilet in our room rather than in a common area.

They do have a few food items available in the lobby.

The pasta/pizza/salad place across the street (Prizzi) is good. There's a grocery a few blocks away. This hotel is less than ten minutes away from the train station if on foot. The walk to the old town is a bit long, but acceptable if it's not raining.

I believe free bus passes are available. We did not try the busses but I imagine they would be very helpful.

The staff was helpful in a variety of ways. It was great that we could leave our bags secured there during the final day after checkout.

Loved our stay here! It was close to the main train station and made getting around the city so easy! We were surprised to find that the hotel provided a city card that gives you free access to the city buses. And 20% discount at attractions. We took advantage of the buses to save our feet. We ducked onto a bus when it was raining hard, taking a long bus ride just to wait out the rain/take a break. The hotel breakfast was very reasonable and had a large selection of cold items (meat/cheese, breads, veggies, cereal/museli, yogurt, boiled eggs). We enjoyed it. The rooms were comfortable but sparse. It is a value hotel with no frills, so don’t expect fancy decor. But the location made it a great choice. There were some restaurants in the area, but not many. Also a nice grocery store very close that sold water, snacks, and breads much cheaper than what we got in the city. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

The location is handy for exploring Lucerne, and the hotel offers decent value for Switzerland. However, the room was extremely small with no proper storage for clothing—just a few hooks and shelves.

What stood out most was the heat: there’s no air conditioning, only an air purifier that gives the impression of cooling but doesn’t actually lower the temperature. It felt misleading, especially during warmer days. We even asked for a fan from the reception and they came to our room to help fix the thermostat but never returned.

Also worth noting: I was charged 20 CHF to access the room less than an hour before official check-in. While I understand early check-in fees, this felt steep given how close it was to the check in time.
