This was a very nice hotel, but I booked months in advance and requested two twin beds as I was staying with my mother. I ended up sleeping on the floor because they didn’t organise two twin beds. Very disappointed after a long drive. My back is hurting today and I paid $360AUD for one night

Because there was no air conditioning, we had to open windows (it does cool off nicely at night) and leave drapes open. Room was facing the square and a huge construction project was going on next door. If we managed to fall asleep over the noise of the small room fan provided by the hotel, we were awakened in the very early morning by the incredible noise of hammering, trucks, cranes, delivery vehicles—you get the picture. This started at 6 am. Probably got a very light 6 hours of sleep in two nights. Room was huge, had an extra twin bed? Okay bathroom. Front desk staff efficient. Couldn’t wait to check out and get a good nights sleep anywhere else. PS: I always check for elevators and AC when I book hotels overseas. I like the small boutique hotels for their charm and character. I might have missed the lack of air but . . . This hotel also lacked charm and character. Ver, very disappointing.

Great location and easy to walk to from Luzern train station. Property needs to be renovated; the room showed a lot of wear and tear. Wasn't very clean either. Bathroom was fine and shower was decent for European standards. It was okay for the few days I was in Luzern but should I return I would not stay here again.

The location was great and was within walking distance to almost all of our points of interests. The room was spacious and had pretty good amenities, but with only one fan (triple room), it became unbearable at times to sleep through the active heatwave. We tried asking the receptionist for an extra fan, but we were told that all were in use.

The beds were generally comfortable, and fortunately, the receptionist/housekeeping was able to rearrange our three beds to maximize the fan’s reach. The other receptionist also helped called us a taxi to the train station.

The wifi was unfortunately very unstable. There were hours where there was basically no wifi in our room. A lot of the TV channels were also not available.

I wish we were told in advance that a Lucerne Visitor Pass would be provided as part of our stay, since it would have affected how we purchased the Swiss Travel Pass. Had we known that the Lucerne Visitor Pass would have provided basically the same benefits, we would have purchased a different travel pass instead and saved more money.

The receptionist was very rude. The one room available at the time we arrived was tiny and extremely hot, not at all what the photos and description of the hotel showed on Hotels.com. The luggage storage room was unlocked and open to everyone. We left immediately after checking in and paying fees and breakfast for 3 nights as well as the original pre-payment for the 2 rooms for 3 nights of $1,908.62. We told the clerk that we wanted refunds but he didn't respond so we left. We still want a refund!!

It was a lovely property to stay at. The lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and had all the necessary amenities/toiletries. The view from my room was gorgeous as it looked out into Old Town. The one factor I didn't really like was that the cleaning team starts very early in the day (around maybe 8am) and the noise would echo through the hall to my room. I wanted to catch up on some sleep but wasn't able to due to the noise. The hotel location was very convenient. I would still want to come back to stay at this hotel the next time i visit Lucerne.

Perfect location, right in old town, lots to see and do.plenty of restaurants close by. I think the hotel was converted from an old house. The room is quite muggy and small insects fly in when you open the window. Overall it was a very good hotel.

Reception staff behavior – I found the front desk staff to be quite rude and unhelpful during check-in and throughout my stay. I expected more courteous and professional service.

Lack of air conditioning – The room was uncomfortably warm, and I was surprised to find that the hotel did not provide air conditioning or any effective alternative.

Uncomfortable mattress – The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

I was very happy with this hotel. the single room was small but I knew that and the good rate reflected it. and it was so clean and such a great location near everything in this walkable iconic swiss town. Nice large clean modern room. Staff was very helpful, especially prior to our stay, with answering questions. They made some great restaurant suggestions and helped with information to day trip to Mt Pilatus.

Our beautiful room had 2 windows that opened up to the plaza and fountain below, but was surprisingly noisy (loud people outside at night). It’s in a great location, but not in a main foot traffic area. I would definitely stay there again!

This was an awesome hotel. 10' walk from train station and no stairs (however, there are cobblestones). The front desk staff were particularly awesome. I forget her name, but one of the ladies was so helpful when my husband needed some medical help. Very much appreciated! The only small negative is that the soap dispensers were VERY hard for me to squeeze (both shower & sink) to get soap dispensed - but I do have arthritis :( Other than that, don't hesitate to book these lovely, yet affordable hotel.

Excellent location less in Old Town. Only about 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Very close to shopping and restaurants. The entire town is very walkable.

Breakfast was typical European and quite good. Room was clean. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. Would definitely stay again.

The “problem” with the hotel is it was quite hot (thermostat seems to have been for decoration only) and nothing soft to absorb sound, so if someone came in late you heard them.

The hotel is in a great location for touring Lucerne and the old town. Three of the four front desk staff were amazing to deal with but one was somewhat crusty and not very friendly.
The room was quite dark…we needed to use our phone flashlight to see the coffee maker. Bathroom shower had mold along the edges. The room definitely needed a refresh of paint etc. The hallways made us feel like we were staying in a hostel or a college dorm. Better colours and a few paintings would help make it more inviting.

Central location so very noisy. There does not seem to be air con so can get hot but if you leave window open it is very noisy. One night they seemed to be servicing the lift at around 5.30am in the morning which sounded like loud crashes. Would not stay here unless you can sleep through loud noises.
