Lovely location for a Hotel and just one train stop outside Interlaken. Lovely room with fabulous lake view. Good size and comfortable. Tasty breakfast and really nice terrace and garden although we didn't get a chance to swim in the lake. Handy ferry boat stop too and train station quite close.

The most stunning property with an amazing view of Lake Brienz. We had a lakeside room...to wake up to that view every day was amazing. Staff went above and beyond (especially Shiva)! We loved the peacefulness of Hotel Seeburg after long days of sightseeing. Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Fantastic location on lake Breinz with regular bus service to the street that leads to the hotel.the hotel is about a 7 min walk from here. The dock for the ferry is also right outside. The owners Michaela and Shiva are also very hospitable. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable with great views. The breakfast was excellent. The sandwiches and ice cream were also really good. We had a short stay this time but if we are in the area again, will definitely be staying here again. We had an early morning train to catch and the owners were kind enough to pack us a BF to take. Highly recommend this place.

This place is amazing!

We have stayed in 544 nights over the last 4 years at hotels and this would be the best of them all. The view… wow! The service…. Faultless. The breakfast… amazing. Transport nearby with bus, train or ferry. The owners offered us takeaway coffee of a morning and packed us a bag of takeaway breakfast when we left early. I can’t recommend this place enough. We had a balcony room and the sunrise and view all day was incredible. Best hotel by far just so impressed. The area is safe and quiet. Drinks by the water’s edge of an afternoon is so relaxing. We will definitely be back to Switzerland just to stay at this place.

Absolutely incredible stay at Hotel Seeberg! 🌟 The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel at home — genuinely some of the kindest people we’ve met on our travels. The location is unbeatable with jaw-dropping views and peaceful surroundings. You will really get to enjoy the best of Switzerland’s nature at your doorstep.

Don’t be fooled by the distance from Interlaken — you also get FREE public transport in and around Interlaken, and there’s a ferry terminal literally right in front of the hotel. The bus stop is about a 7-minute uphill walk, totally manageable.

This place is a hidden gem. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!

This was probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. You CANNOT beat the view here. Right on the lake with gorgeous mountains in the background, tucked away at the bottom of a hill so you feel so secluded. The staff was wonderful as well and made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms were super clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Yes it was expensive, but you get what you pay for which is a serene and relaxing stay right on the turquoise blue water. The grounds were also really nice and there was a nice walking trail that takes you around the area. Easy bus route to get to the location too. I would come back here in a heart beat.

What a gem of a place to stay right on the lake and very private.

Great staff who were very helpful with any questions we had and they were very attentive.

Room was very nice we had a lake view and so it was very picturesque.

Facility is very nice with great options for sitting and lounging outside should the weather be good.

Buffet Breakfast was very good with a lot of options and was cooked fresh fried eggs and fresh smoked salmon every morning as a free option.

Beyond breakfast limited food options for lunch and dinner so we needed to leave property. The village only has a few food locations that are not always open so you will need a plan for dinner.

Parking was fine limited onsite parking but there are some parking spots right outside property.

Just outside the property is a dock for the lake ships to pick up and drop off people did not bother us however.

Some other options would have been nice to have during the stay. maybe spa or sauna and gym on the resort would be amazing and more food options beyond breakfast would be great as well.

We would happily book at the resort again in the future

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this quiet, peaceful, historic hotel. We particularly liked the beautiful view of the mountains and the lake. Although it was too chilly for us to use it, their patio dining right next to the lake was gorgeous. We were served a delicious breakfast each morning with fresh, fried eggs and smoked salmon. Our room was very clean and spacious and our bed comfortable. It could use some updating of the carpet and decor. We were lucky enough to arrive at the hotel by boat, which dropped us right at the front door of the hotel. It is a bit of a hike uphill to get to the bus stop, but it is a pretty hike! We would recommend staying at this hotel.

This place is wonderful!! The breakfast is out of this world and to open the French doors in the room and enjoy the sound of the lake is serene. You must stay here! The couple who owns it, works diligently to make you comfortable.
Clean rooms and a fresh feel! The bus stop is close by and easy to walk to. No negative things to say at all.

An Unforgettable Stay with Breathtaking Lake Views

The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the lake that are both serene and awe-inspiring. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the water was a magical experience and swimming in the lake after a long day of hiking was the highlight of our trip.

The customer service was exceptional. The hosts went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable; they were friendly, professional and always available to assist with questions/requests.

We also loved the varied breakfast selection (which was free) and ordered delicious sandwiches and drinks from their menu in the evenings.

This hotel will bring you a smile when you get there. Perched along a beautiful lakeview with amazing panorama. Room are small but comfortable. Amazing breakfasts. The only downside is that there is no restaurant service in the evening. They only have a selection of 4 sandwiches which cost in the range of 27-30 Francs. Ridiculous. Also, if you drive there the signs are not clear and the address given by hotels.com is very unclear. Staff was very gracious and very accommodating. Overall a very nice experience.

We needed to start our vacation with a very quiet but beautiful spot. Hotel Seeburg was perfect for this. They serve a fabulous breakfast and 2 restaurants are within walking distance. The train is only a 8 minute walk up the steps behind the hotel. The boat picks up right behind the hotel which was so convenient. I would recommend when arriving to get off at Interlaken Ost station and taking a taxi to the hotel. The station in Ringgenberg is so tiny that there are no taxis in town.

We lived our stay here. The staff was professional, helpful and friendly. The hotelnwas clean and We also enjoyed the daily breakfast. The property was sitting directly on a beautiful lake. We lived it.

The only cons were the beds were not comfortable and the pillows have no support and were pretty useless. No where to heat up food. Also, it is asteep walk getting to hotel from main street, especially if you have luggage.

I would definitely say here again.

Magical, quiet gem

Everything about this place is perfect. The rooms, the staff, the food, THE VIEWS, and most of all the location. Not only is it right on the lake but it’s tucked away from the touristy locations so it feels so private and peaceful. The boat cruise also stops right out side so don’t miss a chance to jump onboard. We saw so many waterfalls right from the boat. The staff here is so lovely as well. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I just wish we had more time here to enjoy it. I hope I can return one day.

This place is magical. The service was extremely above and beyond. The views from the hotel are a dream. The hotel is a very easy and quick bus ride from the train station. The owners were fantastic and went out of their way to take care of us. We had lost luggage with quite a delay and when it arrived they brought it directly to our room at 8:30 in the evening. These people work ALL DAY to provide excellent service. The location was great as it was quiet and BEAUTIFUL! So much better than staying in one of the large, touristy cities.

A little glitch at checkin but the hotel resolved it quickly. Staying a week here was like a dream: cozy & comfortable room, great lake view, sumptuous breakfast, gorgeous private lakeside garden, free transportation passes, secured parking for guests. It’s very convenient to have a pier right in front of the hotel to go on the lake cruises. We will probably come back to stay here again for our personal reasons.

Thanks to all at Hotel Seeburg, we spent a very comfortable few days. the hotel is always spotless. The only issue is the size of the bathroom. I would say a car is very useful as the boats are not as regular as we would have liked and there is a steep climb to the village.

The view from this hotel looks like from a magazine. Wonderful stay and friendly staff. From our tours around both lakes, this would be our top choice for a hotel anywhere near Interlaken.
If arriving by train, it is a 6 minute walk down to the hotel. If you can time your arrival with the boat schedule, you can be dropped off at the ferry stop right in front t of the hotel.

This place is amazing. Favorite hotel on lake Brienz. We took the ferry and saw a few other hotels that looked neat but not like seeburg. Highly recommend. You can use a car, take 10 min walk to train or bus, or take the ferry.

I was in the newer five story section. Two things to note: lack of air-conditioning was overcome with an open véranda door and large fan (which I mounted in the desk for greater effect; and the shower wall in 502 was beginning to chip and crumble. The free trolley into town was a real plus. The breakfast was exceptional (except the main selections were in front of a large window showcasing the garbage bin). Rooms were very comfortable and I would consider returning

The hotel is in an absolutely beautiful location right on the lake. We took the ferry to the hotel. It was nice to have just a few steps right to the hotel. A fairly comfortable room with view of the lake. Our room had a balcony. I don't believe we have like to stay in any of the other rooms. There was a beautiful garden area right the lake with spot to get to the water. Ringgenberg is a small town with very little to do. It is a great hotel to just relax. The restaurant at the hotel was okay but the only spot close to eat. Pleasant owner and staff.

Staying there was really fantastic.
This hotel was in the middle of very calm village, exactly near the lake. Our room was lake view and we couldnt enjoy it more.
The reception was a very friendly lady guided us for everything, including where we could experience fondue in interlaken.
It is better to reach the hotel by ship.
I didnt know it and we tried to reach there by train, but after arriving the train station we didnt see any taxi there so we walked to the hotel and it was a little bit hard for us as we had luggage.
We had dineer and break fast there with the breath taking view of the lake.
We enjoyed the meals as well.

This was our favorite hotel in Switzerland during our vacation. We loved how close to the water it was and how quiet it was. It really was paradise. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. You can take the bus from Interlaken ost and it takes you just a few minutes from the hotel. The walk from the bus is beyond cute - walking through neighborhoods and a church and castle ruins. There is a boat that you can take as well that brings you right to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel is located at a quiet corner of the Brienzsee, with a boat jetty/port just outside of the hotel. Visitors can take the boat rides conveniently. It's very near to interlaken town area too with jut 10mins drive. Hotel breakfast is nice, and the rooms has beautiful lake view.

Perfect !! Imagine private lake with mountain view

We are on a honeymoon an we really enjoy the room with lake view. This hotel is superb, the staff very nice, the buffet breakfast is good enough, they make very good cappuccino (ask for it). A bit far from the main street, best for those who have car, we didn't have a car, but we love to walk a bit uphill and enjoy full lake briens view.

The minus only the bathroom is small, but clean bathroom with enough ammenities. However we didn't spend all day inside the bathroom anyway. We spend all day sitting at the lake. I think 2 night isn't enough for this hotel, feels like they have their own private lake. Superb hotel!

Hotel desperately needs renovation! View is gorgeous but, hotel needs upgrading!

Magnificent views. Relaxing spot. Bit dated.

We got the room with the balcony overlooking the lake and the view was amazing. I would have spent my whole afternoon there.

Polite staff and relatively quick check in and out. Wifi worked fine.

The room was a bit old fashioned and the bathroom felt rather small compared to other hotels.

Breakfast is just ok. I could have done with more variety of everything.

Location: in Ringgenberg, about 5 min by bus from Interlaken (we were given a free pass at reception). If driving, you have to follow a sign with light blue ducks. Parking is free but shared with restaurant guests so at times difficult.
There is a bus stop about 5 min uphill and a lake cruise stop right by the hotel ( but not all boats stop there, check schedules before planning your trip).

Restaurant was expensive although quality was good. If on a budget, go to Interlaken Ouest where you can find more affordable options-especially in the supermarket.

Nice location near to the bus stop and boat stop

The hotel was very near to the bus stop with very close proximity to the boat stop from where many places were approachable. the staff were helpful with pleasing manners and the hotel was very comfortable and clean. also the view was nice as there was option of mountain view (from where sunrise is visible) and also lake view. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting Interlakken, Switzerland anytime.

Gorgeous Views!!

What beautiful views of the lake!! The weather was unusually horrendous while were there but the views were still fabulous and we got to see all the new snow on the mountain across the lake.(we were there in mid May) The breakfast that was included was ok. The eggs were super strange looking but tasted ok-ish. The staff was nice. The room was a good size but the bathroom was miniscule. I would stay here again when we go back to see the town in the sun : ) We missed out on our canyoning trip too due to weather so we will definitely be back!!

Great hotel!

Right on the lake (they upgraded us to a perfect view), great breakfast, excellent dinner by the lakeside, beautiful walk on path to Interlaken. Lake tour boats pick up right at the hotel. Free public transportation close by to take you to Interlaken if you don't want to walk. Very quiet as hotel is at the end of a dead end street that ends right at the lake. Already planning to go there again!

Back to Nature

Set on the beautiful lake, with absolutely amazing and breathtaking views!! Worth it if you want to enjoy the nature and be little away from the city. its a 5 min train from Interlaken station and easy to reach.

I read a lot of reviews on how difficult it was to reach this hotel, and found it to be very true. If you arrive by train, and try to walk to hotel, you will surely get lost. We were going in circles as the road was so narrow that we always missed it.

The hotel makes you feel cozy. Very warm and friendly staff! Hotel is little old though, but maintained. Had no complaints! Nice breakfast.

Amazing view and quiet get away.

We loved relaxing at the hotel. The view was breathtaking from our room and the hotel. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast that came with our room and chose to eat dinner at the hotel because the food was good. The boat stops right in front of the hotel. We were given free bus passes, but the walk up to the bus stop is very steep and far. It is easier to take the boat into Interlaken and the bus back. We enjoyed our stay.

Great view.

Nice hotel right on the lake, the boat makes a stop right there. Nice quiet. Free WiFi. A short walk from the bus stop, look on Google map to see what bus stop to get off. Short 10 minute bus ride from train station to bus stop. One lane road from bus stop to hotel so watch out for cars. I would usually take the stairs behind the hotel. Nice neighborhood. I had a single room, it was quite small, but the price was right.

Beautiful setting on Lake Brienz, great food

We were a little surprised at the age of the room, and could use new carpet, but we found the hotel very charming and the staff extremely helpful and attentive. The taxi from Interlaken was well worth it upon arrival and departure with the remoteness of the hotel, but the hotel setting on the lake, fabulous restaurant and breakfast more than outweighed any inconvenience; bus stop is short walk uphill but more important downhill coming back! We would definitely return.

Lakeside hotel

This is a delightful family-run hotel. The situation is idyllic right on the lake with the steamer jetty at the hotel garden. Many things to do and places to visit. Being outside Interlaken it is quiet and peaceful but with easy access by public transport. This is our second time here but actually my third as I came in 1965 when it was run by the same family!
