Here’s my very honest review on this hotel

The hotel staff were amazing — friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. There is a convenient coffee and tea station on Level 2, and hotel members can enjoy a free tram service to and from nearby areas. One of the highlights is the hotel’s location overlooking a beautiful lake, with easy access across a small road for a relaxing walk by the water, which is truly stunning. However, the hotel itself feels quite dated, with creaking floors and old-fashioned (though pretty) bathrooms. The room was relatively small for the price we paid, had very limited power outlets, and was somewhat dusty. Despite the beautiful surroundings, the view from the room was restricted by a small window, which slightly took away from the experience. Overall, the hotel would benefit from renovations. While it works for a short stay, it may not be ideal for a longer visit — in my opinion, 3–4 nights is more than enough. If I were to visit Lucerne again, I would likely explore other accommodation options instead of this one.

The building and room were quite charming! I loved the flamingo wallpaper and pink toilet paper. Views of the lake were amazing. Staff was friendly. There was free Nespresso in the hall. It was a short walk to the train station and other activities. I would absolutely stay here again.

Staff was extremely friendly. Decor was fun and artistic and the old building is full of charm. Lots of fun touches like the sock monkey mascot and free chocolate bar in the room made it unique. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Only drawbacks wee creaky floors (to be expected) and very tiny elevator, but many old places have no elevator, so we can’t complain!

This was a lovely older hotel. Our room overlooked Lake Lucerne, which was just beautiful. The staff were extremely cordial and helpful from check-in to check-out. There was an issue at first with the elevator taking our bags up, so they carried them up for us. (They did notice that the door to the \"lift\" wasn't closed all the way, so that is why it didn't work initially.) They had a nice little breakfast buffet and would make whatever coffee you wanted and there was always a little snack for you.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable, clean, and well stocked with amenities. The property has a great location but really stands out with the staff - every team member I interacted with was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful.

A short walk to shops and restaurants, a beautiful lake view, and walkable to the train station (about 20 mins, easy enough even with luggage).

Highly recommended and I look forward to returning.

Absolutely phenomenal stay from the moment of check-in. The blonde woman was so kind, courteous and welcoming. She wanted to ensure our room was ready, sat us down with a cappuccino and took our bags to our room. It was absolutely a wonderful welcome. The rooms were nice size with balcony, gorgeous lake views and sitting area and generous size bathroom and the beds were SO COMFORTABLE!!!! We wish we could have stayed for a week!

This hotel has an excellent view of the lake and is across the street from the waterfront. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Chapel Bridge. Our stay was a bit rainy but the hotel had umbrellas that we could borrow. We got a wonderful dinner recommendation from the front desk. Our room was clean, lovely and spacious. The hotel itself is stylish and charming. There is art everywhere—which is a nice touch. The only drawback was that parking was a little inconvenient (difficult when it is pouring rain) but other than that our stay was great.

The real strength of the property was its very friendly and accommodating staff. We would stay here again if we return to Lucerne.

The hotel have a very good location to the center.The staff are very friendly.However their room’s doesn’t have any amenities just a tv. We stayed in a suite,no coffee maker no microwave or refrigerator.Our room have a portable a/c,not a centralized one.If you have a lot of luggage it’s hard going thru their entrance since they don’t have a ramp,and they have a few flight of stairs.I think they charge more than they offer,and breakfast is not included.You’re paying for the location not for the services or amenities they offer.But hey Switzerland is expensive to start with.

The hotel is very old, however the staff do a great job to ensure guests are taken care of. Plus the two bedroom option comes with 2.5 baths. Only one negative is the portable AC unit, but that’s not that much of an issue.

Beautiful historic property. Located across the street from the lake in Lucerne. Very walkable to downtown Lucerne. The best part was the wonderful staff. They worked hard to make our stay perfect. Highly recommend this if you like older historic properties with a lot of character. We loved our room with the balcony.

We really enjoyed this hotel! It was our first stop on our 7 day trip to Switzerland. The breakfast buffet was our absolute favorite! We appreciate that they attempted to use air conditioning in our family suite, but the room with the unit was way more comfortable than the one without- even though there were adjoining rooms.
This was such a cute and unique hotel. Loved the decor and the small touches/ style that really made it stand out. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and the view and its proximity to public transportation. The staff was wonderful as well!

We had the most beautiful view of Lake Lucerne from our room! The location was perfect- peaceful and quiet, yet still walkable to restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed the scenic stroll along the lake each day. The hotel has a romantic charm that boutique hotel lovers will appreciate. Staff interactions were a bit mixed, two team members were warm and helpful, while the other two came off less welcoming. But overall, if you’re looking for stunning views, charm, and a quiet escape close to the heart of Lucerne, this hotel is a great choice.

We did not get the breakfast with our stay, but they did have coffee and fruit available to us on another floor which was nice. The room was great and we loved our view of the lake!

This property reminds me of the old fashioned pensions except that every room has a bathroom attached. II is not luxurious but down-to-earth with basic rooms and principal areas ( and with interesting art and often quirky decor choices) The rooms facing the street overlook a park and then the lake with mountains in the background.This alone is worth the 10 minute stroll into the centre of town. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel manager and front desk team were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel is beautifully located right in front of a stunning lake and majestic mountains.

I accidentally left my computer in an Uber, and the hotel manager and team went above and beyond to help me recover it. I truly appreciated their patience, support, and warm hospitality.

I feel so lucky to have stayed at this beautiful hotel, and I will definitely choose it again when I return to visit Lucerne.

This property was SO CUTE! The staff is so wonderful, and takes the time to make the stay special.

The hotel itself has the cutest little vibe! The rooms are all a little different and have so many nice features to make traveling easy (cut out sections for luggage, large open floor space, etc). The beds are very comfortable. If you like boutique hotels, this one is a gem!
