A quaint, historical, building with exceptional staff and a delicious breakfast. Only a short walk to the beach as well. The only downside is the area around the hotel is very run down and VERY NOISY at night. Do not book any ground floor rooms. The staff was very accommodating to switch our rooms to an upper floor after we had to endure a night of disco music blasting from a nearby shop all night.

Haifa Gem

If you’re taking a cruise ship out of Haifa (or not), this place is perfect!! The room was large with A/C and the manager was very friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was outstanding and with the outdoor seating, we didn’t need to worry about being around too many people. We also enjoyed hearing the history of the building from the manager.

There were several restaurants within easy walking distance and there were 2 mini-marts almost attached to the hotel. What we enjoyed about the location was being able to eat with the locals but only being a 15 minute taxi ride from the cruise terminal.

We highly recommend this place!!

Very cozy small hotel, highly recommended!

It is a small but very cozy hotel. You can see that the owner puts a lot of details inside and outside. The small lobby is converted to a sitting and display area with cookies for guests to enjoy. AC in my room is efficient and quiet. Room is big enough. Breakfast is very good! There is a free parking lot across street. Big plus is that it is less than 10min walk to Galim beach. You can grab beach chairs (two in my room) & towels and enjoy swimming there. It is a public beach, with fine sand and fresh water showers. I went there in early morning and saw all old people. One old lady was very unfriendly to me, yelling me to let her taking shower (I could understand from her gesture although I don’t speak Hebrew).

Great location for access to beach promenade, restaurants and a couple of tourist attractions. Easily walkable to train station as well, which was quite handy.
A small suggestion would be to provide a portable map to use for easy reference when exploring the area.

The facility was nice but my only “complaint” is that we were given a room right off the lobby (reduced privacy) and designated for the handicapped which made for a large bathroom which cut into the size of the room, making it less comfortable.

Very nice hotel boutique. Easy check-in and check-out. Nice room and wonderful tasty breakfast. Ann and her employees are very nice and helpful. My family will come back to this hotel. I love the slipper! The only thing is the A/C (air conditioner) should be cooler. We felt hot. It sould be in 13C at least. The rest everything was good. Hopefully this review will help to fix the AC.

1 night in Haifa

Check in finished at 6. We arrived at 6.30pm and I called before to let them know. They have me a code to get in and left keys of the reins on the desk. Rooms were comfortable. Good location as we had a car. Easy free parking a block away. Breakfast was very nice but in a tiny area with only 4 tables of 2 people each. If more than 4 couples decide to have breakfast at the same time there will be a long wait. We were there 1st at opening (7.30am) and managed to put two tables together so 4 of us could sit as a family. Front desk girl very helpful with helping us to decide what to do the rest of the day.

We came back for a 2nd visit after a couple of months. 1st time was really nice but now we got room #5 which was not clean enough, specifically the sink in the bathroom. When we opened the closet there was a smell of used socks!! Overall, the room needs more attention from service. The other things were as last time, i.e. breakfast & stuff were very good. Coffee machine plus water & cookies are 24/7!!

I love this hotel. It is small and intimate. Room was comfortable and very clean. Quiet enough. Everything was well. Breakfast is superb. There is lemonade and water free in the lobby and teaqcoffee making equipment in the room. The sea shore is very close and nice for a walk. I am Sure to be back!

Such a great hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and even though we were on the ground floor--literally sharing a wall with the reception and breakfast area--we couldn't hear a thing. Our 6th floor room in Tel Aviv is way more noisy. The breakfast was to die for and the staff was so accommodating. The only potential downside is that after we booked our reservation they lost their \"free parking\" area and only had a couple spaces to offer guests, but we were lucky and got one of those spaces. We would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone. Beautiful, romantic, comfortable hotel

We recently stayed at the Bat Galim Boutique hotel & were very pleased with the room which was spacious, modern & very clean. The receptionist was wonderful & made us feel right at home. Breakfast was plentiful & delicious. To top it off, we were five minutes to the beach!!! Great place to stay & explore Haifa.

The owner of the hotel greeted us as soon as we arrived with cookies and lemonade. He was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast the next morning was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was near the waterfront promenade and many restaurants. Overall great experience at this hotel and would definitely stay again next time. Wish I had more time to stay there longer.

The staff at Bat Galim were extremely friendly and helpful. Even before we left home Gilly at the front desk was so helpful. . Gilad assisted our group in planning an enjoyable touring experience in Haifa. We appreciated his efforts in securing a large taxi for our group of five people to travel to Jerusalem. He persisted until he found us a taxi charging a reasonable price. From the expresso machine and homemade cookies to fresh and healthy breakfast we were well taken care of. This Boutique hotel is a wonderful place to stay.

Delightful Boutique Hotel \n\n

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this delightful, modern, boutique hotel. The rooms were on the small side but were well maintained and clean. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast of local specialities each morning while we shared conversations with the hotel owner and the staff. The easy walk to the beach and nearby restaurants made this an ideal location. A nearby bus stop and train station made it easy to sightsee in other parts of Haifa. This is definitely where we would return.

Charming boutique hotel close to the beach

I have to say this is the most charming hotel I have ever stayed at. My daughter and I stayed for two nights while she was looking to rent an apartment in Haifa for the upcoming school year. All of the staff were so helpful to us from the moment we arrived. The bathroom felt like a spa. The breakfasts are included in the stay and they are homemade, delicious and served on beautiful dishes and tablecloths. The owner even contacted a friend of hers for us to see an apartment and that was my daughter's favorite one. Oh, and there is an esspresso\cappachino machine in the lobby 24 hours a day!

Beautiful hotel in convenient location with plenty free parking. Small hotel renovated to a perfect gem. Staff were all attentive, friendly and accommodating. Room was nice size, with excellent bathroom, AC, etc. Free breakfast was delicious spread of fruits, cheese, fish, yogurt, and more. All local and fresh. And then there's the knocked out coffee/espresso machine for 24 hour complimentary guest usage. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay way better than large hotel or small B&B. The price makes this a bargain.

Great Boutique Hotel


This was a great Boutique Hotel! The staff was great!!! The rooms were lovely and clean! The breakfast was the best breakfast that I had I all of Israel. There were three kinds of fresh yogurts, an assortment of cheeses, marinated fish, freshly made whole grain bread, salads, pasties and espressos and cappuccinos available all day long. It was all so good!
The hotel staff was so wonderful! As soon I check in the staff brought a plate of dates and cake to my room. Whenever I return from a day of traveling the staff would offer me herb tea, with the herbs just picked from their garden and cake to go with it. The staff treated me so special that I could have stayed there forever. They even washed my clothes for me. The staff at this hotel really made my stay a wonderful experience!

Lovely little place with great service.

The hotel was lovely and was a nice short walk from the seashore. The manager was really helpful in telling us about the area and giving us advice for touring in Haifa and other areas in the North. Only possible downside is that it is far outside of the center of things in Haifa, so there are only a few options of restaurants in the area. Other than that, wonderful choice and we were very happy there.

Love this hotel. It is a little hidden jewel in Haifa. The breakfast had an array of colours and choices. there were healthy salads and breads, cheeses, yogurt, fruits and vegetables and many choices of hot and cold drinks. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. The sheets were crisp and clean as were the towels. I like the hosts and the entire atmosphere. I recommend this hotel highly.

The bathroom was particularly stylish and nicely done and the provision of cake/snacks in the room was a very nice touch. Breakfast variety and quantity was fine but seating was awkward... could easily be fixed with more shade provided for tables outside. I would also recommend investment in a robust 'pod' coffee machine as 'instant' just doesn't measure up these days! Very good value.

The promenade and beach is very near by so is the haifa cable car to access Mt caramel within walking distance. Hotel reception was very helpful and kind. We loved this boutique hotel!
The service, cleanliness, service is outstanding.
A very nice family runs this hotel.
The staff speaks Russian. Helped us to find free tours in Haifa, best restaurants.
The room was not big, but modern, clean and nice
The beach is 5 min away. But the downtown is not within walking distance. We had a car, so it was not a problem for us.
We didn't have problems with parking nearby. The parking is free of charge.
Next time we will stay only at this hotel.

Marvelous Boutique Hotel

The Bat Galim is a marvelous boutique hotel. It has only been open about a year and it shows in the rooms. They are immaculate. The shower was great and the bed was extremely comfortable. The most outstanding part of the hotel, however, is the owners. They are friendly, helpful, and informative. Staying here feels like being guests in their home. I would highly recommend this hotel.
