Seems like no maintenance was done in last twenty years. For 200 a night you wouldn’t expect paint to fall off the ceiling. Two bottle of drinking water for a three night stay, if you want new ones every day you have to pay

Building pretty, but bathtub was so high it was dangerous. Our room was moved, but then there were other problems. When I tried to talk to staff person who moved us, she was extremely rude and waved papers at us saying she was too busy to talk. When I asked to speak to the manager, for 2 days was told she wasn't in. Far from sites. Awful experience overall.

They charged VAT to a non-Israeli booking. In fact the VAT for that room was charged twice and never reimbursed.

This property is a bit tired and needs some life breathed into it. It's pleasant and good value for the price but lacks amenities. Staff is a bit unprofessional. Upon checkout they charged us the VAT tax which is not supposed to be charged to Americans with an American passport. We protested but they insisted that it was in their system. This is the ONLY hotel in Israel that charged us the VAT tax

The Hotel is old and feels old. Stayed here long time ago when it was Crown Plaza and had an amazing time. But since it was bought out by Dan hotels it’s not the same anymore.

We extended our tour for 3 days and stayed at the Mirabelle. Very friendly staff. Rooms were quite small. You have to take a big step to get into the shower. As well, toilet did not flush and my room was not cleaned one day. Breakfast was delicious and once again, staff were excellent. Hotel has a nice pool and jacuzzi.

The position is excellent and central with a beautiful view. The rooms are small even the deluxe ones. We think they should improve the upkeep of the hotel. An elevator wasn’t working properly and it took time until they fixed it. The toilet seat was broken and even though we informed them in the morning it wasn’t fixed by the evening.

Great amenities, although you can tell the place isn’t in the best condition (shower sprays, broken sink plug - which was fixed). Nice selection for breakfast, though not many vegan options. The room was comfy and spacious. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage with them before check in. The swimming pool was great. The breakfast was great. Our only issue was that the bar wasn’t staffed and when it was staffed they didn’t have a good selection ie didn’t ice tonic so couldn’t have. Gin and tonic.

Good hotel- TERRIBLE NIGHT RECEPTIONIST
After travelling all these years, I have met the rudest hotel receptionist in my life. I’ve booked in this hotel for 4 days and on my last night, 26th of May, we were asked to come on the reception and “have our id’s copied” despite I have done mine already. My bf, who is an Israeli, come to the hotel only on the last day of booking so I asked him to go down. It might be that they want ID and also I was tired as it was 11 pm at night. To our surprise, this receptionist was trying to wrongly charge my BF 830 Nis for “VAT”, as an israel citizen. My BF had to come back to our room to get his credit card pin, he was just planing to pay it to get over with it as the receptionist was “disgusting” (my bf’s words) to him. Upon knowing this, I called back the receptionist and my god my bf is right. At 11.30 PM he insisted that we come down to pay the 830, accusing us of not wanting to pay, raised his voice and eventually threatened us of sending the security manager in our room (which never happened). But imagine the stress we went through. I told him call your manager and I will only talk to him, he said he was the hotel’s “vice-manager”- good for him, bad for the hotel and costumers. We waited the next day and I came to the hotel-desk 1st thing in the morning and ask for their manager, enraged of course. They were very understanding and apologetic of what I went through with the night receptionist. The VAT turned out to be 116.98 only, not 830 he was trying to haggle from us.

My only complaint was the booking through Expedia. They did not follow through with my query 48 hours prior to my arrival. Finally after making another booking for the correct night the manager of the hotel rang to apologise and re-instate the original booking at a cheaper price and gave me an upgrade to a sea front room. Thank you to the manager but I will think twice before booking again with Expedia.

Hotel conveniently located at the top of Mt. Carmel (Carmel Markaz), in close proximity to restaurants, grocery store, and upper terraces of the Baha’i gardens. Hotel staff are lovely. We had 2 adjoining rooms for a family of 4, so plenty of space, but the rooms, even though clean with non-carpeted floors, are dated and due for renovations. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Haifa for 2 nights in May 2019. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating: since I had difficulty getting to the hotel on my own, the woman at reception upgraded my room and gave me breakfast at 50% off. The breakfast buffet was amazing! All sorts of hot and cold dishes, fresh squeezed orange juice, excellent service. The room was large (by Israeli standards), with an extremely comfortable king sized bed. The hotel is unusual in that when you enter the lobby you’re on the 9th floor - so I had to take the glass elevator DOWN to my room on the 7th floor. The atrium lobby is very attractive.

No Room and No Refund
There was no room available when we reached the hotel. They blamed their corporate for overbooking. The hotel manager directed us to a small hotel. They arranged for a cab. That was kind. They promised to refund the payment immediately. After 35 days and follow up emails, no response from them yet. It’s very unprofessional.

This hotel is badly in need of updating. Not just the lobby but the room was particularly dated. Plus the a/c was on the coldest setting but blew hot air all night. Couldn't get the window to open so we were suffocating b/c once the room got hot there was not way to clear out the air.

Kosher Hotel With a Great View
The room was comfortable and the views of Haifa outstanding. Breakfast was good, but other dining options minimal and not so good. The pool area was not very pleasant and the changing rooms were tiny. This is a kosher hotel and it accommodates Sabbath keepers, so if that is important to you it is a good option.

The location on top of Mount Carmel is fantastic. They upgraded us to the top floor with a beautiful view. Everything was fine, but we found that the food at breakfast could be better.

Stayed here at my brother's suggestion and I could not have been happier. Had a very nice room with a view over the harbor. The Israeli breakfast stokes you with enough calories for a day of splitting wood. Staff were so helpful.
