Comfortable and clean.

Nice stay overall. It’s the second time we chose these apartments for the price & value.
Unfortunately, for some reason we didn’t get our room done this time either (same happened on our first stay, last month) and during the early morning we had some really noisy neighbors that prevented us from having a good sleep.
Leaving that aside, it’s a good place to stay. Easy fast check in / out, comfortable and clean.

There is nothing about “Designed” about this property, is just a ran down building converted in small rooms. No elevators and hallway are extremely hot. Room does not have any closed or any furniture to put clothes on. No soap, Kleenex, coffee, only the bare minimum.

Friendly reception and the place was nicely equipped. We happened to stay during a Thursday night concert nearby, and the noise from that as well as the 7AM street cleaners did not make for a good night. But that is clearly not the hotel's fault. Important to note that the hotel doesn't have its own parking but there is overnight free parking nearby.

If you hate sofabeds...

We had a lovely stay. When i travel with my kids, its hard to find a double plus twin bed, usually the choices hete are a queen and sofabed, my kids are too big and they complain. So it was very nice tge room had a doubke and a twin and still enough room for a kitchenette etc. At a very reasonable price and perfect location.

On the whole a positive stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable. However I must say that the reason we chose an apartment over a hotel stay was because we wanted to cater for ourselves. The cooking facilities/amenities within the apartment we were allocated were suitable for making a snack but were not suitable to cook a full meal. Additionally some other things were lacking, for example there was an iron but no ironing board and In terms of cooking facilities there was no oven or even a hob only a single plug in portable hot plate. There was no toaster and the utensils supplied were limited and basic. and did not live up to my realistic expectations.

It is a good and recommended place to stay in Haifa. Just important to know: some of the rooms are Some rooms face the busy street and the bar that is downstairs. Although the owner has double glazed windows, it is advisable to request a back room rather than a street front room.

The property is good value for money in a vibrant area of Haifa Downtown. Sound proofing from the outside is excellent but you do get internal noise from other rooms particularly where children are playing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and slept soundly.

My spacious room was very quiet, however, furnished with a refrigerator that worked great (many more expensive hotels have terrible refrigerators). My contact, Katrina, was a pleasure to work with.

The location is great! It was very loud outside, so we kept the windows closed.
The only thing that was TERRIBLE is the smell in this specific apartment. It's not the first time we're staying in this chain and love the location and convenience every time, but this apartment has an awful smoke smell.

Apparently some guests were smoking in this apartment, and now everything stinks - even the pillows! They've put a very heavy aromatizer trying to hide the smell, but it only made things worse.

The property was a little difficult to find. No parking available. It’s a 10 minutes walk from the closest parking lot. At night it is almost impossible to find a parking spot. The room was clean. At night there are bars open but the windows are soundproof.
No amenities. Bring your own shampoo and toothpaste. Room service cleaning is every other day.
My biggest problem was that the room was very stuffy. I couldn’t open the windows at night because the bar was right underneath us and very loud. I would recommend this hotel if you just need a place to crash for 1 night. However, if you are looking for a longer stay u will not feel very comfortable here. Too stuffy and parking is very difficult to find.

The apartment is located in a good area with access to nightlight. Despite the multitude of bars in the area, it was quiet. The hosts were responsive by text message and email. It was basic and yet it was clean and comfortable. In addition, it was a nice touch to receive the apartment with a large bottle of water in the fridge, a small milk, and a couple of muffins and sweets. It’s exactly what someone needs when they are staying somewhere for a short time. There was also coffee and tea available.

the room was clean small bath room, did not know you had to turn on the hot water for the bath half an hour in advance to take showers so cold showers for us.where not told we can not access the vicinity of the hotel with car so we had to park 1/4 of a mile in street parking and carry suit cases to the hotel. hotel located in center of old Haifa and all the streets are closed to car traffic.

The manager was very helpful, he kept the process of checking in and out very simple. The accommodation was large, furnished well, the kitchen was ideal for our needs as we were able to prepare all meals for our 10 day stay. The location is superb as we were able to take the Carmelite (subway) to the Baha'i site each day of our Pilgrimage.
Grocery stores, bakeries, ATM and all other needs are close by. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk which is perfect.

The room was as expected ... rather large with plenty of space for 3 adults!! Reception was friendly and helpful in the leadup to our arrival.

The apartments are located within a really cool trendy area ... lots of restaurants and bars!!

On that note, the catch is that the apartments are located near a bar. Luckily one runs the AC all night so we didn’t hear much in the way of noise.

They saved our butts! This was a last minute reservation because we couldn't get access to the rooms that we had reserved several months in advance. We were made to feel welcome and special. It will be 'my place' any time I am in Haifa from now on. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient. Parking is only a minor issue. If you can't find a place on the street there is a reasonably priced lot just a few short blocks away. Enjoy.

This hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, but it was beautiful. The rooms are really spacious and clean. There are a kitchenette and a dining table and even an elevator. Rooms are comfortable and service was great, Not so easy to park but a great location walking distance to many restaurants and shopping and so much more.

Downtown Funky Boutique Hotel not to be Missed.

This is a great, eclectic place that's smack dab in the perfect area downtown. At night it's festive, but not crazy, so it's a good place to be unless you like to be totally secluded. We were \"upgraded\" to a triple room ad it was great! Modern design, full kitchen (sans oven/with hotplate) and spacious room. They had a lot of cool design elements, free wifi, and Moshe, the owner or manager is SO kind and helpful. We really liked him and he was very insightful. We were brought to the room and there was a small plate of treats. This is a boutique hotel so you should know that there's few amenities really; no gym, no room service, toiletries offered besides soap/towels, they clean the rooms every THREE days, the shower was small, there were a few items that were older (most were new/clean but the shower needed recaulking and the sofa was older). Nice sheets/bedding. Adjustable A/C and heat. BEAUTIFUL balcony overlooking a charming square. There's a bar downstairs which is loud but the rooms are soundproofed so we had no trouble with noise. The balcony has fresh mint and herbs for your tea and they provide and seating for two - gorgeous! Restaurants, shopping and coffee shops everywhere. Some rooms have elevators, ours did but check if you need it. We loved this hotel, just keep in mind it's not a generic, fully-appointed Hilton; it's a boutique, eclectic place that is uber-charming, centrally located, nicely appointed with what you need and I'd recommend it highly!

This hotel was very convenient to restaurants, train, buses, etc. Given the late night activity, the owners had installed double windows which sufficiently reduced street noise. The only drawback for some is that there was no elevator.

In sum, we were very happy with the accomodations and would return.

Do not dispair as you drive toward this hotel. The port area of Haifa can be off putting and driving into the downtown area you would be forgiven for thinking you've made a big mistake. But one street back from the main road and your in a beautiful part of Israel that is safe friendly and vibrant. The cafe/bar scene starts around 7pm and goes well into the following morning. 1926 appartments are right in the middle of things but don't worry the rooms are sound proofed for the early to bed. Room was clean, staff fantastic and the price was a steel, a great place to stay.

Nice hotel for those looking for urban experience

Hotel in downtown area of Haifa near port. It is a developing area with cafes and pubs and it is a combination of old world with the new world. Less polished than the German colony area only 10 min walk from there.
Train station is 5 min if you need one.
For Israeli citizens be aware - I am tired of this game with Booking and Expedia. They know where we are connecting from and still put in smallest letters the tax part which makes the price 17% higher. Why not to put in large font for Israeli citizens that they have to pay the tax ? They know to show me hotel when I am nearby of a neighbourhood I was interested so show me also the fact the price does not include tax.

The old city of Haifa

We booked the hotel knowing that it was in the old part of Haifa, at the bottom of the mountain. By staying there we got to see how the locals live, although as we were on a Baha'I pilgrimage with a very intense programme we had little time to interact with local people.
What we did find out is that in the evenings the street became an open air restaurant, closed off to traffic. In some areas tables set with white tablecloths were ranged across the whole street, set with cutlery etc as one would expect in a high end restaurant, and the locals embraced the atmosphere. There was often live entertainment with a high stage so that everyone could see the performers.
As we were on the second floor, we had no problems with the noise from the street.
We tended to use the taxis for transport, but if you do, insist that the meter is put on, and ask for a receipt, as some of the drivers will ask an outrageous price for a short distance,
.Driving is on the right side of the road, and all the streets seem to be one way, so you are back tracking in order to get to where you want to go. There are lots of traffic lights too, and there seem to be not too many rules of the road, drivers are impatient and I have never heard so many car horns,.
Take as much of your favourite food as you can, fresh food is hard to find, some foods are very expensive, others not too bad.
The top of the mountain seems to be more modern and more affluent judging by the businesses we saw as we were being driven.

Excellent Boutique Hotel in Haifa, Israel

The friendly staff was very helpful and responsive. It is family run. The lobby has an old style 78 RPM record player with classic records from the 1940's and 50's. The room was super quiet and had a small kitchen with refrigerator. It was in a convenient area for transportation (near the railroad station and bus lines). There was parking nearby if you had a car as I did.

It is a great bargain if you are cost concious.

Fun Place to Stay in the Renovating Old City

The 1926 Apartments are located in the old downtown area. In recent years, a 16 block pedestrian only sector has grown to include bars, grocery store, restaurants, pharmacy, and retail area. We had a fun time in this lively area. The area is safe. It's near the inclined train that ends at the top of Mt. Carmel. A separate bus and train station are within a five minute walk. A one way taxi ride to the top of the Baha'i Gardens is about ten dollars. A 15 minute walk takes you to the German Colony restaurant area.

The room we had was nice. It was spacious, had a nice frig, had a handy bag of ice stocked in the freezer, the owner was very nice and we had a nice chat with him one evening. Beds were comfortable, there's free coffee and espresso in the lobby along with some treats. Air conditioner worked great. Only negative is that the address is on a street you can't drive on so we struggled with our GPS to find the hotel. Also parking like many places in Israel is a pain. We found a lot about 5 mins away for around $10-$15 per day. The location overall was great-lots of restaurants nearby, close to the water, close to Bahia Gardens.

We spent 2 nights here with our 15month old son. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom is small no tub...but the sink in the kitchenette was plenty big for bathing a baby. We did not have a balcony...room looked out over the street but it was quiet. AC worked great. Wifi was great. Bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious. Kitchen seemed well equipped-we only used the fridge. Hotel staff was helpful. This hotel is on a pedestrian mall so you can't actually drive up to it...parking was about a 5 min walk. You can park free overnight in public area or there is a pay lot. The hotel is located in an area that is currently being gentrified. There are several bars (some with food) open late and restaurants/stores open during the day. I didn't feel comfortable walking back through the adjacent neighborhoods late at night ( for example from the German colony-lots of nice restaurants), however there is good public transport- buses, carmelit etc that stop very close to the hotel. This was a great budget/ family friendly option for us.

Walking distance from the Train station, Ben Gurion Restaurants and roughly 15 minutes walk to the Baha'i Gardens this is an ideal place to stay while in Haifa.

nice hotel in Haifa

The room is big enough with a small balcony,it is equipped with cafe,tea,watr,milk.
The railway station is about 6 min. walks, the bus number 1 stops just before the house.
This room is in accordance of the cost of it, I recommend it staying in Haifa very much.

Has more potential and possibilities

First impressions not good. The entrance and hallway could be better decorated. Bathrooms need more work but rooms are large and if u are at the back quiet. Dont stay at the front where the main road is. For good restaurants u need to walk 20 mminutes to the german colony although there are many bars around. Across the main road in the port area is a nice English style pub with food
if haifa is a base to get around the gallilee then the hotel is perfect as it's next to the main road going out of town
the place needs a little money spent on decoration

Very Good Choice

A lovely large studio with a balcony overlooking the pedestrian mall. Owner's son was extremely helpful. Helped us with our luggage, allowed us to use their laundry facilities. There are several connected buildings. Ours had an elevator. Not all of them have this. Good dinner across the street at the Sangria Restaurant.

Stylish apartments in an unstylish neighborhood

Beautiful apartment style rooms in the rougher port downtown, on a pleasant pedestrian only street. Much of the neighborhood is shut after dark, but there are a few restaurant options. Rather hard to find (heed their email instructions and ignore GPS). Our room had far too much light for the earlier part of the evening from restaurants across the way, which made it hard for me to sleep. The breakfast and lunch at Sangria across the way were good.

Place was dirty and smelled like sewage. Rooms are cleaned every three days. No hotel parking. Location is good, close to transit. Overall, wouldn't recommend.

Dynamic neighborhood

The hotel is located in a very dynamic neighborhood. 2min walk to the camelit which bring you to the top of the Baha'i garden. We got free live music show from our balcony the night we stayed.

good location with some minuses

Location was great .I went with a baby and left dirty diapers in the garbage in the morning. After we returned from a long day, everything was as we left it. The next morning they told me that the default is they clean every 3 days, but were happy to clean more often if I requested. Maybe they would have told me had I met them upon arrival, but I checked in pretty late and they left the key for me in an envelope.

The area in Downtown Haifa is quite new so still under development, but we were shown to a couple of really good cafe/restaurants across the way. Really close to the Central Train Station and Carmelit station (subway style cable car). Staff were very friendly and helped us out with a few dilemmas. The room itself was clean and spacious, had a small kitchen with fridge, hotplate and microwave. Modern fixtures in bathroom, had tv with cable, wifi and a cute balcony. Overall quite satisfied with our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Safe and economical yet very stylish and comfy!

We booked a room with 3 single beds and were surprised how large the unit was. The room, kitchenette, and bathroom were sparkling clean and beautifully presented, the linen stylish and clean, and we had everything we needed. A short walk from the trains and bus. Very easy to get to attractions and the beach. We all slept well and the room has good air conditioning along with large windows and opens up to a cute balcony. The staff could not be more helpful and we felt very welcome. This place was definitely value for money and I would stay there again.
