This is such a lovely quiet boutique hotel. The thing that stands out most is it’s absolutely the most spotlessly clean place I’ve ever been in they go out of their way to keep it beautiful. Although there is no restaurant or food service so to speak they always have a good coffee and some little cookie snacks available and you can enjoy it out on the terrace with lovely flowers around. A great spot and only around the corner a few blocks to get on the main street to have a bite. Thank you so much at the front desk they are always accommodating and helpful.

The hotel was fine overall. The main reason for the lower rating is the generally unpleasant interactions with the younger Russian-speaking woman at the front desk who seems to dislike her job and the guests. The other reason is that our key was not programmed correctly and there is no one staffing the front desk after hours. It took us a long time to reach someone to let us into our room remotely. No apology or anything else was offered.

The hotel is in a great location and has a charming boutique vibe. The outdoor jacuzzi was a highlight, and the massage by Dudu was absolutely amazing. However, there was a short delay at check-in, with no one at the front desk for about 10 minutes, leaving guests waiting confused. Once the receptionist arrived, she was friendly and helpful.

This is a restored German Templar house for the 1800s on upper Carmel. The rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom was large and had a unique shower.

Love it here

Location is fantastic but more than anything, I LOVE this room (403). Very spacious, comfortable bed, clean wide tub (no bathfitters), TV swivels so you can watch from couch or bed, but the best part is the small window. It opens to let in fresh air and my allergies really appreciate that.Other rooms here have balconies. Nice friendly staff. Thank you!

Lovely rooms. Good point to see Haifa, with lots of places to eat nearby. Go to the small coffee shop in the park called Shchenim. Great coffee and cake. Really helpful reception. Great coffee and tea station with biscuits and cake. Wonderful fruit teas.

Great location and very comfortable hotel

Great location if you have a couple of nights in Haifa You can walk everywhere you need to go around Carmella and if you want to go the downtown Haifa, the funicular railway is 5 mins walk and takes 10 minutes
Rooms are very comfortable
So the hotel was just what we wanted but frankly I’d give Haifa a miss unless you have to go there.

Safe and convenient underground parking, but be aware when you arrive you have to check in before you have access. Close to restaurants, shopping and the Baha’i Gardens.

Looks nice? skip this hotel

New renovated building, room new, seems nice, very small. No view, looking at other buildings. It seems like in downtown - actually it is in the middle of a residential area. there's nothing to do in the area, meaning you need to take your car to attractions.
We started the AC and we heard tiking noises (tik...tik...tik), we shut down the AC - noises didn't stop, but the air in the room was stiff, hard to breathe. Front desk came, heard, didn't seem bothered. said they don't have vacant room to move us, but will cancel the stay for a full refund. We left.
Sounds nice? not really: Friday afternoon, we couldn't get a room in hotels in the area. We cancel the restaurant reservation for Friday evening, we canceled all our plans for the weekend and went back home (a too hours drive).
Huge disappointed, especially since this was our kid's present for my birthday.
So - avoid this hotel. At any cost
(and it's very expensive, especially considering the location, lake of view and size of the room)

First trip to Israel and I have tonsay this was the best hotel in all of Israel! We stayed in a 5 star hotel in Jerusalem (David Citadel) before our check-in here, and their service was horrible compared to Carmella boutique! This hotel has two offsite but nearby cafes to have breakfast at and we loved it! Breakfast was included and the free parkng was soooo convenient since we rented a car! Everyone from check in to check out were so amazingly friendly and helpful, especially front desk gentleman named Yameen...I'm sorry for possibly mispelling your name! -Thanks for the lovely chat, advice and kindness! I complimented you to family and friends. We wished our stay was longer so we could stay another night in this pretty hotel! Definitely recommending tonfamily and friends!!

Cozy and great boutique hotel!

Beyond amazing. Easy check in, great customer service meaning all the staff we interacted with were super kind and helpful which is a very nice touch when in a foreign place. They offered extra support and accommodated us due to the holidays. The room was super clean, bed big and comfy, and provided a complimentary bottle of water. Also, we loved the location at the top of Mt Carmel and in close proximity to restaurants and grocery store. We were very pleased and will definitely stay here when we return to Haifa.

Carmella Boutique is ideally located near the entrance to Baha’i Gardens, the Funicular down to many neighborhoods in Haifa, and has a few good restaurants nearby. The staff is helpful with the hotel’s amenities. You will have to walk to breakfast...choose your own and forgo the optional voucher breakfast offsite. They have parking for each room’s guests in the basement level, and a Spa is onsite if you desire to book those services. Decor is whimsical. Rooms are clean with pleasant spa quality soaps.

This hotel deserves the word boutique because it was very richly and luxuriously appointed. It's a little more than 2 years old. A lot of privacy and quiet. We had a nice sunken balcony with an umbrella. Beds were likely the most comfortable we have slept in. Easy access to parking garage from the room. There was a spa we didn't get to take advantage of. Lots going on in the neighborhood - a zoo and a nice park right next door. There's an indoor mall across the street. The hotel staff was very friendly.

Small, quiet, fancy place. Staff was kind and helpful, we had fruit plate on arrival, thanks Rotem. Free parking on hotel underground area, check in and check out friendly and quick. Room was very clean and well designed shower is great. In room you have espresso machine only, but in lobby you can get free coffee / tea/ cold water and some cookies. Located in local living area, but 3 minutes walk from Carmel center, where you can find some stores and restaurants. Breakfast is served from 8-11, 5 minutes walk from hotel, you can choose one of two proposed restaurants. We liked it. All in all great place to take a rest from everyday rush.

Carmella Boutique Hotel is a delightful, elegant, boutique hotel, very well located close to the Baha'i gardens, Shrine, and Carmel Centre. In most ways, it is what a boutique hotel should be. Except for two things, which may be temporary, but which were sort of unpleasant. One, no breakfast available. It seemed to have been recent (when I made the reservation, I thought I had read that breakfast was available). But no explanation was given. Like the other guests, I was directed to a café, five to ten minutes walk from the hotel. While there is nothing unpleasant to a short morning walk, I found it somewhat annoying that no breakfast be available in site. It is possible that their breakfast facility will reopen, but I would advise any potential client to inquire beforehand. The second \"annoyance\" is the system by which the gate that allows access to and from the underground parking can open. The only way was to call the hotel every time I needed to go out with my rental car or when I got back. Being from Canada I have of course a Canadian mobile phone. I am not quite sure what will be the cost of each of these telephone calls, but regardless, it was an unpleasant system that the hotel needs to change. Other than that, it is a hotel which I would highly recommend for its elegance, decor, charm, cleanliness, friendly staff, etc.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was large with everything included an espresso machine plus cookies, nuts and dried fruit. Although the restaurant is no longer open we bought pastries from the local bakery for breakfast and with the facilities to make hot drinks and seating in the area of the restaurant sat and ate there each morning. There are lots of good restaurants in a short walking distance from the hotel. The underground car park is gated so safe and is free. The staff were friendly and helpful including providing an umbrella when it was raining. We did not have a problem finding the hotel using the GPS as the entrance is on a one way road.

Location is great, no more breakfast 8n hotel, you have to walk 3 blocks to nice restaurant for breakfast. Rooms very nice, but awkward placements in unususl building. Ours turns into a bomb shelter...a nice one, but thick walls and windows.

Wonderful hotel! Friendly staff, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. Restaurant was closed for breakfast, but they sent me to a fantastic cafe about five minutes away. Parking is a real plus - gated underground parking with an elevator straight to your floor. I’d definitely stay there again in a return trip to Haifa.

Wow! My son didn't want to leave.
The hotel is pretty and has a very homey feel to it. They have an underground parking garage, rooms are immaculate, and bathrooms spotless.
There are several sightseeing activities within walking distance and everything else is close by. There are other hotels nearby, but I won't even consider going anywhere else.

A quaint, quiet boutique hotel

This is a quaint boutique hotel. In the center of action, but tucked away so it feels very quiet and relaxing. There are no amenities in the hotel (no pool, no spa) but still a nice place for a quiet getaway or even for business traveler.
Good wifi all around. Nice breakfast. Staff very helpful and polite.
There is also free parking with easy and direct access straight into the hotel.
