One small complaint was that the bathroom collected a pool of water every time the shower was used due to the design of the bath.

I have to start by saying that the staff at Sunshine Hip were not only extremely pleasant and friendly, but very helpful when brought with any questions or concerns.
They helped me with my visa extension documents and made the process that much easier!
The property itself is very very clean, the internet is very reliable and fast, and the property itself is walking distance to basically everything.
I recommend and will also be booking again upon my return :)

This hotel actually has a bathtub and a shower in the room, which I like. The rooms have microwave, and also a safe deposit box. The breakfast buffet is good and the staff are amazing especially Joy, Nooch, and Nadear.

Arriving at the Hotel, you may not notice the undercover car parking in front of the entrance. This is very useful if you’re being dropped off when it’s raining. Checkin was quick. My room was spacious and quiet. Internet worked well as did the Air Conditioning. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff remembered my omelette order and work tirelessly to ensure the wide selection of breakfast items are topped up. I think the tv is mainly in Thai, but with reliable internet, I didn’t use the tv. Location is fantastic. Minutes walk to the beach or Terminal 21 or night markets and shopping opposite. The bar areas are far enough away that you won’t be affected by noise and traffic. I would definitely consider staying at this Hotel again.

This hotel is a nice hotel close to the beach and markets. I extended my stay because the room was nice and big and comfortable and quiet. The rooftop pool was great and staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant closes at 3 pm. The only things to consider is disabled are the bath/ shower and the water all over the floor after a shower. Most other people would find this a nice place to stay. If in the area again, I would stay here

Good Value and Experience of Stay in Pattaya

I stayed with Sunshine Hip Hotel for 3 nights in early of February. Room was cozy, and staffs were helpful. Just couple of minor suggestions that might my stay better.
1. I reserved 1 standard room with a double bed just couple of hours prior to my arrival. When I arrvied, the receptionist told me that they would upgrade me to a larger room, but I would have to pack everything up and change room next day. I clearly expressed that I rather stayed in the room type I reserved for my entire stay, instead of packing my luggage and changing room.
2. The pressure of shower was weak. The smell of drainage was disgusting in the room.

1. Dirty room
I have booked the superior double room. The room is fine with spacious bathroom and nice decor. However, there were some dirt (which was really a large cloud of dirt) found on the bed, between the bed and the blanket. Amenities were also inadequate for basic needs.
2. Bad service
The receptionists are all impolite , rude and unhelpful. Sometimes they just pretend they don't understand English and refuse to help. They refused to provide anything I requested (for example, wine glasses and opener).
3. Poor breakfast
The buffet breakfast didn't have much choices, the taste was bad too even for just a slice of white bread.
That was the worst experience of my hotel stay ever.
Although the price is cheap, it's not up to standard. Shouldn't be a 3-star hotel.

7 night stay - booked 2 rooms both on level 5. Needed to change a non refundable hotels.com booking due to overlap dates. The help and support from the hotel and the Hotels.com website customer service were perfect and faultless. Good clean rooms with good TV channel selection. Aircon was good. Separate bath tub with shower. Rooftop swimming pool. Room service - stocked fridge, daily room cleaning. Located in Soi 1 close by to everything you need including baht bus, central marine shopping center and food stalls. No balcony. My fellow traveler felt sick after eating breakfast one morning, but recovered the next day. Quiet room.

Great Hotel for the price...get the breakfast!

I love this hotel!
Pro:
The hotel is very clean and the cleaning staff cleans your room as soon as you leave the room. As long as you put the sign on the door for cleaning, your room is ready when you get back from a long walk.
The breakfast is great. I did not book with breakfast included, but I should have. Pam was awesome. She help me every morning as I staggered down for breakfast.
The standard room safe and bathrooms are in great condition. So, was the size of the bed.
Nice little mall is across Second Road. They have great places to eat.
They also had a store in the back for regular every day needs.
Cons:
Television had about 6 English channels, but they worked sometimes.
Internet is weak and monitored. So, be careful what you search for.
The area is far away from the action so the neighborhood is quiet. 50 baht will get you a motorbike ride to where you need to go. Don't pay more than a 100 baht to get to walking street.
Pool small but very nice. (who wants to pool any way when there is a beach with coconuts and fruit to enjoy)

Overall great little hotel. It is just a little further away from everything. After a long night of drinking on walking street, you hop on a bus (little blue truck) for 10 baht and take a long ride home to the hotel.

4 nights stay in Sunshine Hip hotel

Nice small hotel in Pattaya soi 1, with small rooftop pool and basic services. Buffet breakfast is provided on days when certain number people accommodated. The breakfast was very good. Short distance to shopping mall with BigC supermarket, 300m walk down the soi to the beach. Quiet location with new and clean rooms. The rooms on side does not have view at all since next building blocking the view.

Sunshine Hip Hotel ia highly recommended. Art is very nice. The aura is very nice if you're in all that hipster vibe. Rooms are nice. Not that expensive yet high end. Small pool area but it's vey nice.

Modern rooms just noisy hallways

If it wasn't for the noise I would rate this hotel much higher, unfortunately the hallway noise from guests and maids is the worst facet of this hotel in my opinion. The hallways are tiled and the sound propagates up and down the hallway so you can hear conversations on one end of the hallway from the other, people dragging and wheeling bags around and if you get through that then you have to listen to the maids CB radios going off at excessive volume and their conversations with each other.

This was a good hotel at a great value for money. I've stayed at places twice the price and half the standards, service and quality. Very clean and comfortable. Has a rooftop pool, a restaurant downstairs and a decent location (maybe a bit far from everything but local transports are nearby). It could be better though. Like a rooftop bar next to the pool and a better breakfast.

unpleasant smell inside the room

the room got terrible urine smell, the staff just sprayed some deodorant which made the smell even more unpleasant; Also, when the staff was being asked to clean up a broken glass bottle with coke splashed arround, she just sweeped up the glass pieces without mopping the sticked floor. I had to do it myself with towel.

Sunshine Hip Hotel

SHH was a recently opened hotel when I stayed in January 2016. Many things were not completed but the staff were very nice and incredible. The room was compact but not leaving you feeling cramped. Everything was new and in perfect shape.

The location is very good as it is in one of the Soi/alleys so its very quiet in general and you can get to Beach Road in a few easy minutes or the other Pattaya Road.

The bathroom and shower in particular were amazing in layout, water pressure and size. The simple yet clever open closet area was fantastic too.

the other day we got a broken te cup and when we ask them to change this but They said we shuld to pay 47 baht Inc Vat for a te cup. IF you will you can try yourself. Hahaha

Big spacious room, a lot of storage. Nice with a microwave. Bathtub leaked water around the edges, easy fix with a couple of towels that the staff provided. Pool area was a bit dull, and really small area. Breakfast was very good, no complaints whatsoever. Location, amazing near the beach, night markets and terminal 21. Walking distance to the busy bar street.

Non ti annoi,abbiamo preso il pulmann turistico per due giorni,visto big budda e meraviglioso il giardino da non perdere.
Isola kok larn mare spettacolare ma tenuta malissimo peccato.
Terminal 21 puoi trovare di tutto. In generale la pulizia lascia a desiderare per la nostra mentalità di europei.
