Bring ear plugs for sleeping - it's a loud city. The hotel is quite new, has an elevator, clean and well maintained. Pool is great with a nice view. We didn't spend much time at the ocean, as we preferred the pool. Staff understand English well, and it was easy to communicate. Would stay again.

Hotel was a great price in the middle of all the action. Short 2 min walk to the beach, shopping, bars, and food options. Although we had an ocean view room, it was limited as we were on the third floor and the buildings across the stress block the view. Overall very satisfied with this hotel.

Beautiful trendy property with nice decor. Rooftop pool and view was lovely as were the staff. Convenient walk to Bangla Street, the beach, and area shopping. There was some construction going on around the property and the wave pool next door is a bit noisy but nothing bad enough to spoil our stay!

Great location and clean rooms

The hotel is well located next to anything you may need. The rooms are well decorated and clean. The staff was helpful, especially Meow. She would always greet us with a big smile; even as we were leaving on our last day, she walked with us to the van to say good bye.

Avoid – Noisy, Dishonest, and Poorly Managed

The Bloc Hotel in Patong was a deeply disappointing experience. The rooms are poorly soundproofed, cheaply renovated, and incredibly noisy. Despite advertising breakfast until 11am, the included voucher at the Coffee Club expired at 10:30 – a clear trap to catch guests out. Reception staff were unhelpful and dismissive when this was raised.

The hotel claims to ban outside guests after 3am, yet I was kept awake by the guest next door hosting an escort from 3am to 7am. Loud music, explicit conversations, and audible ‘activity’ filled the night. I called reception several times, but they did nothing. I informed them I would check out due to the disturbance and lack of action.

In the morning, staff denied any complaints were made, refused to confirm my early checkout, and declined to refund unused nights. No follow-up, no resolution – just outright refusal.

It became clear that the hotel turns a blind eye to this type of activity. The lobby atmosphere reinforced that it’s little more than a knocking shop disguised as a hotel.

There are far better options in Patong. This place is a scam – noisy, dishonest, and managed with complete disregard for guest experience. Avoid.

Horrible. I consider my self an easy going person and I spend the worse night in my life in this place. We have to take the mattress to the floor in front of the AC to receive a little fan breeze. If you don’t want to ruin one or two nights of your vacation do not book in this place

Front desk staff.. All of them were awesome. I remember Nam and Meow, the two girls were super accommodating. Night shift the two gentlemen were also superb.

Excellent property if you want to watch lanterns or fireworks during special events or new years. The rooftop gives you the perfect view of everything. Almost on the main street so you'll hear all the music and partying at night but that's normal considering the area.

This is a great place to stay with easy walking distance to everything you want. However the partnership with the coffee club nextdoor for breakfast lets the great hotel down. I have seen sloths move faster and there's nothing they can't over complicate.

The location is perfect, across the street is the beach, 2 blocks down is Bangla Street if you are into the nightlife, tons shopping options within a block, and some of the best thai restaurants very close by.

I stayed in an even numbered room which faced the Phuket Surf House and they play music loudly from 10 in the morning to midnight evey day i was there. For this i wouldn't recommend staying at the Bloc, but if that is something that would not bother you then you may enjoy your stay here. There is also a 1000 thai baht deposit required required at check in so don't misplace you receipt or you may not get it back at checkout. All in all id say under 30 it would likely be good for you and over 30 you may want to stay somewhere else.

The lady at the front counter was rude at check in(was not appreciated after the long travel). And did not want to address our eligible room upgrade until I had to complain?
I will say that the location is pretty awesome!!
The gym is no more than a tread mill and a rack of dumbbells up to 30lbs.
Pool bar guys were about as rude as you get and had absolutely no interest in helping you with anything if you weren’t purchasing extra drinks:(
I’ve never addressed such aggressive behaviour from the local vendors and we have had experience with them in many countries.
So rude and aggressive that they made my wife very uncomfortable to even step in their shops.
The breakfast option was good.
So in a nutshell the location was great but the staff needed to be reminded of a lot of what is listed as an amenity for the guests and the shopping sucked as we honestly didn’t get to deal with one single Thai person with all the new citizens that have just arrived:(

The room smelt like mould and a cleaning product mixed together. The bathroom was to the right as soon as door opened. Shower pressure and warmth of water was average. I did love the huge bed and that we were so close to beach and Bangala Road. We were able to check in early on arrival day and that was much appreciated.

3rd stay in Thailand and 1st time at the Bloc, I’ll definitely be returning to the Bloc next year. I loved the staff most of all they were so so lovely and accommodating. The location was very good as it’s a close walk to Bangla rd and other things around. I would recommend the Bloc.

Hotel is very nice, can not fault what there is of it, modern, newly refurbished/built - really good room, air con, bathroom, tv, clean, well designed and decorated.
Good rooftop pool area.
Downside - no restaurant- breakfast is via a voucher collected at reception each morning and handed in to coffee shop next door. Small basic one course breakfast, if coffee shop busy the wait can be excessive under cold air con and in amongst loud customers- the view being taxi drivers smoking outside waiting for a fare. The coffee was great, a real bonus - but just not quite worth the wait, the food or the environment.
Patong is dreadful - a dirty swamp filled with the worst of humanity.

My favorite thing about the property was the location, I was there for 5 nights and it was so nice to be able to go outside and walk the streets to find restaurants and sightsee. The one thing I didn't like is the bathroom was leaking from time to time, the staff was helpful but it didn't stop. the water was such a hassle to get to hot water, sometimes I had to shower in cold water because of how frustrated I got. The room overnight the air would turn off and on, on its own. The sea view room it's not much of a sea view but rather than the street view. The rooftop was undergoing renovation which I didn't know so was disappointed when I headed upstairs. the pool and room looked as advertised.

The Bloc hotel was amazing and the staff were so nice. The hotel is in a great location for shopping, eating and the beach. The replenising of water bottles in your room during cleaning was a nice touch. My stay was awesome and I will be back.
