You will be disappointed if you book this hotel

The basin in the bathroom was disgusing. See first 2 photos attached. I complained and they painted it while I was out. The 3rd photo shows the condition 2 days after painting. Absolutely disgusting. There are telephones in the room so you have to go down to reception wvery time something is wrong, line WIFI which wasn‘t working properly. The only guarantee you have here, is that you will be disappointed.

Given that this hotel was extremely economical ie good value for money. We enjoyed our stay alghough the bed was uncomfortable and the noise at night was pretty loud. Roof top pool a huge bonus and very friendly/helpful staff.

Checkin person was not nice! They said that if i let my travel companion come up to see my room for just even one minute, they will charge me 500 Baht each time I let someone go up. This is a ridiculous rule. I told them that my friend has a hotel room down the block and did not need to stay with me. Plus I could have added a second person to my room without additional charge when I booked online… so why are they charging me. I told them that my friend and I are not having sex and that I am not bring up someone to have sex with and he said that does not matter. Definitely not staying here again. Plus, I saw a cockroach in the room!

This is NOT a 3.5 star hotel. The pictures were clearly staged using a clean and painted room with fresh linens, of which none of this was part of the experience in the room....it was quite the opposite. I wish TLocity would allow me to show pics that I took of the room. This is not the hotel depicted in the pictures. There are way better options, it’s Patong. Look around and save yourself the dissatisfaction of staying at this hotel.

Give it a go, especially for the price!

Only a block away from Bangla Road (the party capital of Phuket), this place is not a bad place to stay. While the pictures definitely make it look a lot nicer than it is, it is still a great for the price. The pool on the roof was nice, as was the bed which was comfortable! The wifi was a bit shaky at times as I had to switch from one to another, but it usually always got the job done, I was still able to stream a Netflix show before bed... The people who work here are very nice as well, and the place out front helped me to arrange my travel to my next destination!

Convenient hotel close to beach and Bangla Road etc. The beds were a little hard and the AC a little warm but we managed ok just for 2 nights. Rooftop pool is not swim able as it’s not been cleaned. Many things should be repaired soon. Staff was amazing and breakfast was suitable. Nothing fancy but hit the spot. Recommended for short affordable stay.

Very nice stay, few minute walk to the beach. Loved how they gave a beach bag and mat for free. Hotel was affordable for those traveling. Breakfast was provided and had the essentials, especially for a vegetarian. Had salad eggs cereal and yogurt always available. Location is good for those wanting to be near PaTong beach and bar streets. It is noisy though so if you want quiet and serene this may not be the best place for you. I was able to sleep no problem. Water was provided every day too. Staff was pleasant and nice

The rooftop area is nothing like the photos - which is one of the main reasons we booked it. There are no lights around the rooftop or in the pool, furniture needs to be completely replaced. Most staff was friendly. It is a great location but didn't realize how very noisy all night it would be to try and sleep. The aircon barely worked and there was no tv service

Swimming pool was not in a usable condition, it was very bad. The air conditioning in our room was not working properly so it was really hot and stuffyfor all stay - really uncomfortable. Also there was no cable tv working at all. Apart from that was good. Good Location, close to the Beach and centre and shops.

We had a pleasant stay. The hotel is well located; approx 5 min walk to Patong beach and Bangla road and about 10 min walk to Jungceylon mall. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Our room was on the 5th floor (lift in the hotel), had all the basic amenities, shower with warm water and working air conditioner. The hotel has a small rooftop swimming pool that was open until 19:00 in the evenings. A basic breakfast is included and coffee, tea and cookies provided in the hotel lobby at all times. Free wi-fi that worked well during our stay. The hotel provided us with an infant crib for our 10 month old at no extra charge.

Nice location! Close to beach, restaurants and shops. Room was dated but clean and price was very reasonable. I stayed there for 6 days but was not provided any amenity kit since checkin. Toilet mattress was never changed. They just turned it over on the third day. If the price remains the same, I will surely stay again.

Disappointing hotel

I made a booking for a Deluxe room with 2 guests. Me and my partner arrived separately as we were coming to Patong from different places. At check in I was told that if we did not check in together there would be a 500 baht joiner fee even thought the booking was for 2 Adults. Also the hotels policy is that the Joiner fee does not include Breakfast. I protested and explained that my partner was coming in on a different flight a few hours later but the receptionist was indifferent. Eventually my partner arrived after the reception had changed shifts and we went up to the room only to be chased by the receptionist asking for the joiner fee.
Next was the location of the room being on the first floor directly over the hotel entrance door where there was constant noise at all hours. I asked for a different room but they said no other deluxe rooms were available and I would have to downgrade rooms without any refund for the rate difference. I kept the room with the promise of moving to the 5th floor the next day. When I asked about the room change the next morning the new receptionist said he had not been told that i wanted to change rooms and that the hotel was full. I protested and eventually a room was available on the 4th floor but the road noise was the same even at the higher floor.
The room was basic and small. The bathroom was not tiled but was just painted concrete which was peeling all over. The free Wifi was useless everywhere.
Next time I will not stay at this hotel.

I stayed here because of the positive reviews. My experience was not as positive. I'm certainly not a hotel basher, but for me there were too many issues to make it a positive stay. My first room, the bed springs on one side of the bed were broken and you sink well into the mattress. The other side was good. I asked to change rooms and they did. The new room had poor shower pressure, the hot water took a few minutes to work and the air conditioner was not strong enough to cool the room. It took about 2 hrs to feel the air near the bed. The room was not cleaned on my last day. Although there is a sliding sign outside your door, anyone walking by can change the sign. Despite my key being at reception all day they did not clean the room as the indicator was set to 'do not disturb.' If you leave your room key with reception it is placed in a box with all the other keys. You could easily take another key if you wanted to enter a different room.
The other reviews about distance to the beach, plunge pool, breakfast, etc are accurate. Maybe my experience was out of the norm, but regardless, I will not come back to this hotel.

We have a great stay here. Originally booked for 2 nights then decided on an extra 5 nights. Staff was outstanding, we received a free upgrade. Breakfast is included every morning, although the same, more than enough options to choose from. Very good location, near everything and beach. Each room receives a free beach mat and bag to use and ask reception for free beach towels. Overall great stay, would recommend for those who would like to be amongst it all and not to relax as next to busy street.

Great stay! We booked for 2 nights and then decided to extend for an extra 5 nights. Location is great so plenty to do. Room was spacious and private, nice balcony with a view. Bed is a bit hard but still ok to sleep on. Super friendly staff and always willing to help out when needed. Breakfast is included, although the same everyday, there are plenty of options to choose from. Free coffee and tea with biscuits throughout the whole day. Highly recommended!

When our hotel booked through Expedia fell through, the Album were there to help us use their facilities while we negotiated another hotel online and by phone. Happily, we able to rebook to stay with the Album.
The room was exactly as presented and cleaned spotlessly every day. The staff were really easygoing, helpful and friendly. There was a good continental style breakfast and coffee all day. We were able to hire mopeds from the kiosk on site for 200 baht/day, and book tours.
It’s a no-frills hotel but had all we needed and was superbly located for Patong beach, the nightlife and shopping areas. And with bike hire on our doorstep we felt completely in touch.

Boutique hotel close to the beach.

The staff and hotel were fine. I just needed a frosty air condition that they couldn't provide. If you are not heat sensitive like me it would be a nice hotel. The air condition requirements are my quirk, otherwise I would still be there. The young man at reception did ALL he could to accommodate my request, showing me two different rooms .... It's my issue.. Not Theirs !

Rooms cleaned daily and my bedding was changed frequently. Very polite and helpful staff at all times.
For the price you pay including breakfast is excellent.
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a small basic hotel, 5 mins from the beach and Bangla.

The location is good. Its along the main road in patong. The locals pronounce it as \"the alabum\" tell it to the taxi for better understanding or use your gps and you will not get lost in finding the hotel. The reception and all the staff are very helpful and smiling especially Ms. Na (not sure of her name) but thank you so much. She upgraded our room for free and when we decided to extend our stay, she advised us in cheapest way and she blocked our room so we dont need to transfer in other room. The breakfast are good and there's a free coffee or tea with cookies in the dining anytime you want for free of charge. The hotel is just 2 mins walk to the beach. They will provide you beach towels, umbrella, beach basket and mat for free. It was really a great comfort for the travellers. The rooms are clean with daily housekeeper to check what you need. I will highly recommend this hotel for budget travellers.

This hotel was great and I liked the location. It was in the middle of Patong and near shops and restaurants. The staff was great! Before you book this hotel, read these review comments to make sure you want to stay here. We booked 3 days with this hotel and the only thing good we found was their cleaning staff were nice and helpful. Here's what our experience was: The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and finally 6th rooms they showed us were all dirty, disgusting shower and bathroom, mold in bathroom and corner of the sleeping area, hard rock bed (was that a mattress or what?), yellow spotted bed sheets, yellow spotted bathroom towels, and get this - a 500Bhd room surcharge. The place barely looks like the hotel photos. The least favorite part of this hotel is their management - uncaring, angry, unhelpful, indifferent, and very good at yelling at hotel guests that are angry and want to leave in the morning. Probably the icing on the cake for this hotel, is the unimaginable freaking NOISE. Oh my god - Noise, noise, noise. We could not have a decent sleep here for the whole time we were here. We just managed about 3 hours per night. Not the hotels fault if they had window insulation, and made the slightest effort to make guests comfortable. This hotel is situated on the corner of two of the busiest and noisiest streets that does not stop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If all of this is not an issue to you, then you will be perfectly comfortable here. But for us having come to Phuket for 9 years, having stayed at 20 or so hotels, we have seen too many hotels here much better & cheaper & nicer & cleaner.

LOCATION!

This is the most inexpensive and my absolute favourite hotel throughout my trip in Thailand. With that said, it wasn't anything glamorous, but its location made my trip. We planned to stay 2 nights, but ended up staying 8! Patong beach was nice and clean, not overly crowded despite it's popularity. Nice and affordable restaurants on the beach. We used the room for shower and bed, because there is so much to do in Phuket! Staff was nice and extremely accomodating! The only thing to know, and by all means it's not the hotel's fault, it can get quite noisy at night. Intoxicated people, advertising cars, traffic, etc. We filled our days with day tours and walking everywhere, so we were beyond exhausted daily and did not care about the noise. SIDE NOTE: highly recommend a trip to Similan and Koh Phi Phi islands (Our favourite about Thailand overall), also, don't forget to bargain for the price!

Booked into Album for 3 nights but ended up staying for 8 as we loved it so much! The room was basic but cute and had everything we needed and was super clean. Breakfast was the only thing I would improve as there wasn't a huge variety, that said it was still good for the price. The location is very central to Patong beach and is just a few mins walk from Bangla road. Out of everything at this hotel what completely made our stay was the wonderful service we received from the hotel staff. Wonderful wonderful people willing to help us with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

My bf and I decided to spend the first night in patong,and the rest, at holiday inn Mai khao. since we land late,we wanted a place that's near to the night scene,party and crash after.
Location: Perfect! food, clubs and beach within 1mile radius. we rented a bike just outside the hotel to go to places. Other reviews are right about the noise but that didn't bother us too much.

Service: excellent. Receptionist's English was good, was helpful with directions, recommendations, tips. Free breakfast was a good spread and ample drinks considering the cheap price per night.

Room standard: fair comfort - hard bed, basic essentials, air/con took a while to fill the room.

Given a chance again, I'd stay at Album for the fact that receptionist was sincere in helping and informative.

right in the city centre, super convenient. the reception is so cute with the friendliest staff. Complementary Cookies and tea/coffee offered in the lobby. Probably the tastiest cookies ever existing. Hot breakfast included which was also (surprisingly) quite a large variety. They also have a small pool on the top floor which was wonderful at night for taking in the city view and vibe. the room was small but comfortable. Would definitely recommend it!

I stayed for 3 night, it was very pleasure to stay. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I saw few bad comments before I booked, I think thoes are all wrong. It is small hotel but it has everything. I am very very satisfied with everything. Staffs in reception are all friendly and they know everywhere of Phuket. If you guys have no idea, just ask them. They will give you an answer right a way. And housekeepers are very friendly and they asked me about my staying every time. I felt like I was at home. It is a bit noisy but that wasnt that problem to me. I truely recommand this hotel. Thank you for everything guys. I will definately stay in the Album one day again.

This is situated on a main road and can be very noisy until about 3am. So its best to just stay out partying.

The room is very nice, the bed was comfy, but the shower temp kept fluctuating.

This boutique hotel is really great value for money! Hotel deco was cool n chic, atmosphere was pleasant n cosy. Although we booked a standard double room, we were upgraded to a deluxe room which was spacious considering that it was a boutique hotel. Despite being on the second level, noise from the streets below was not at all disturbing, even at night. Closing the bathroom door does the trick of almost shutting out the noise. Hotel staff were friendly, polite n patient. We had trouble operating the safe in the room n had to summon a member of the staff about 4 times but she was patient n attended to us with a smile all the time until we understood how to operate the safe. Hotel provides decent continental breakfast n also biscuits n beverages at tea time. Hotel location was fantastic, 3 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to Blanga Street night spot n 7 min walk to Jungceylong Mall. Restaurants, travel agencies, shops line the streets outside the hotel. Our favorite massage shop was Anahitaa which was just 100 meters away on the right of the hotel. Masseurs may not be young n sexy but they sure know your sore spots n were professional n sincere. Will definitely recommend Album hotel to those not looking for luxurious accommodation.

Excellent hotel, close to everything!

Excellent Hotel, staff were amazing, rooms were always clean, breakfast was great and staff were always there to help. Close to beach and shopping, would recommend to anyone. For price, location, service and cleanliness you couldn't beat the Album Hotel. Will definitely be back. 10/10

Was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and staff

Wasn't sure about the place upon arrival in the middle of the night, Room seemed a bit small for the price. However, it was high season and it was in Phuket. The staff was very warm and friendly and helpful when I needed them, the place is very clean as well. It is only three blocks from the beach which is good too. This hotel is a good option to check out when you were looking for a room.

Staff accused friend of being a prostitute.

We were excited to see our hotel at first but by the end of our 4th day we were more than happy to leave and never return. Our flight in had been delayed a day so we checked in a day after our, pre-payed, reservation started. Not arrive until 3 am the following day we got a taxi to take us to the hotel. There, the incredibly incompetent desk clerk spent from 10-15 minutes just to find our reservation. Finally in our room we slept a little and then enjoyed our first day despite the bipolar shower pressure/temperature.
Then the story gets good. The second day we met a Thai friend that we have known for years from college. She joined us snorkeling and spent the night in our room, platonically of course. The following morning the staff stopped her and forced her to pay extra since we had another person in the room (still understandable). Then the unthinkable happened, the sassy male clerk accused our friend of being a prostitute... Flabbergasted my friend defended her as she went up to the room, hurt, to grab her wallet. Once gone the clerk then tried to convince my friend that the \"woman\" that we have known for years, is a ladyboy and that we didn't see her Id so we didn't know.
The mediocre room, depressing breakfast, and tiny pool aside - the way the staff behaved was inexcusable. They were rude, inappropriate and hurtful.

great travellers hotel

Great hotel near the beach and cheap eats. Make sure to book the deluxe room (the price difference is worth it). Complimentary water is given and breakfast is satisfactory. Don from the front desk is great and he will take care of everything for you. He got us a taxi (private car) from hotel to HKT for 2am flight on time and at agreed upon price.

Great hotel near food and beach

The hotel is located close to the beach and cheap eats. Try to visit No.6 Restaurant for meals ranging between $3-$7. The deluxe room is clean, comfy and nice view. The breakfast os good and the staff is amazing. Liked it so much booked one more night. About to check out soon and the gentleman who is working the front desk arranged without any issues a taci back to HKT for 800 THB (late night flight). There is complimentary water and coffee. Dont hesitate to stay.

Was a decent enough stay most of the staff were very friendly and helpful apart from 1 or 2 I found to be ignorant and seemed to find it hard to acknowledge your hello or good morning,cleaning staff were great and 2nd to none..a bit dissapointed that the pool they advertised was out of order and totally empty of water,looked like it had been that way for a while,when I enquired about it 1 of the ignorant staff I mentioned was in no way apologetic or didn't offer much of an explanation,just grunted it was closed for repair.dont think I'd stay there again,much better hotels around the area.

Although in good location our hotel room was a bit worn out. The bathroom had several water damage patches on the ceiling and one was leaking. Also I woke up one morning with bite marks all up my arms and face. It was horrible. The pharmacist wasn't sure what it was. This put me of the rest of my stay.

I like it a lot.

You know what your getting, a good moderately appointed hotel. Close to the beach, with friendly staff that are helpful. The rooms are well priced and kept clean, it's not 5star but a very pleasant stay close to the beach in Patong far enough away from the madness to get a good nights sleep.

Nice boutique hotel

Decided to stay here this time round rather than my usual Aspery Hotel. The hotel is of an okay size (smaller than aspery), and the ensuite bath was rather small. The part that made me felt unsafe was that my balcony was accessible from that level's corridor too (Room 405). I always have to double check and ensure the balcony door was locked, curtains are drawn so nobody can peep inside. The hotel is nice in general, with free continental breakfast from 7-11am at the lobby and you can make free coffee/tea and some snacks the whole day too (till 11pm i think). However, the staff wasn't the most friendly staff i've seen in thailand. It was a good stay in general, but i'll probably revert back to Aspery in the future.

Reasonably priced place near heart of Patong Beach

Couple of female staff were very friendly but there is a male staff who works night shift that are very rude and only interested in playing computer games instead of taking care of staff. As for room, the picture looks a lot nicer than actual room itself.

A luxury backpackers hotel

This hotel is well located in Patong, with only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Our room was a deluxe room, which didn’t really sell itself as deluxe but certainly performed its role of providing a comfortable bed for the night with sufficient facilities. Night time traffic can be quite noisy and the breakfast area sparks doubt due to food being left out on the side as guests help themselves to the basic, uncovered selection of breads, hams and cereals, so I would recommend getting their early whilst the food is fresher and still covered. For the price it is more than a sufficient place to stay but could only describe it as a luxury hostel rather than a hotel, with the luxury being your own room.

Extremely rude receptionist in the night.

I was a guest at your Album hotel from 22th March to 1st April, booked through expedia.com.
This is to inform you about an incident happened in the night of 30-31 March with the receptionist.
My room was booked through expedia and was paid for 2 adults, since Expedia does not differentiate the price between 1 and 2 adults for your rooms. Please, see the website at www.expedia.com (American version). However, the papers the hotel had from expedia showed the room as booked for 1 adult only. I explained this situation to the person at the reception, noting that I paid the price for 2 ADULTS and not just one. However, this person did not let my friend to visit me in the room asking me to pay 500BTH for \"extra person\". I offered him to call expedia and ask what room was actually booked for me, also show him the room category at the expedia website. The guy refused to listen to me and in impolite and even aggressive manner prohibited my friend to go to the room even for short period of time, saying that \"this is a hotel policy\". He did not give the phone number of the manager and told me that the manager was not there.
Please be advised, thus, that the hotel did not provide the promised service I paid for, leaving out my friend on the street late in the night.

Great location , just in the middle of everything

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights in February 2014 the Hotel staff are very unfriendly specially the lady who gets you the breakfast ! one of them named 'oh' is very sweet we were two girls and he offered us a good deal to the Phiphi islands also gave us a lady taxi driver whn we had to take a flight back at 5am . The rooms are very small but ok ! However the best part is that the hotel is located right in the middle of everything 7mins walk to the best clubs at Patong and less than 5mins to the beach ! So you save up transport cost!! If you need to visit a good Thai Spa I would suggest nt to go to the vendors on the street but to Jungceylon on the first floor.

So noisy

So much road noise you will not sleep.
So much music noise from bars you will not sleep.
The shower goes hot cold hot cold.
The TV reception is very poor.
For some reason the cleaners removed the drain hole covers in the sink and the shower.
The air conditioning does work.
The hotel staff are very helpful in organising tours and getting price reductions.
The WIFI works sometimes.
This is a 2 star hotel do not let the 4.2 rating fall you.

hate the staff in album hotel. so rude and harrased some of us. i hope the owner would fire the 2 ladyboys staff. the hitel is far from the beach and bangla road. have bed bugs everywhere. will nit stay there again
