Upon arrival at reception we were told they were ugrading our room to a villa. The villa was wonderful, detached with its own terrace area in a quiet part of the resort. The breakfast was good, a chef will cook you eggs to order, was enough choice for us. The pool area was lovely, plenty of sun and shade to choose from and we always managed to get a couple of sunbeds in the afternoon. The gym was average, only three cardio machines, a few weight machines and dumbbells. No air con only wall mounted fans so it got hot very quickly in there, no towels were provided.

Good location if you like patong, which unfortunate we didnt. The last time we were there was 15 years ago and it has changed so much. Mostly restaurants, very few bars away from bangla rd, which is so crowded it is impossible to have a nice time there.

One of the few remaining Lana style places in Patong. A treasure in the heart of Patong, a few steps to the beach and 5 minute walk to Bangala Rd. Lovely Staff and compliments to the gardens and ongoing minor renovation works. Is our 8th visit to Patong and 3rd to the Royal Phawadee and we will return.

The property was traditional Thai architecture. The village was beautiful. The rooms were huge and comfortable. The location was perfect. Close enough to the excitement but far enough to have a quiet sleep. I highly recommend.

Lovely traditional thai style architecture, beautiful tropical garden nice pool good breakast and very near the Beach - but a GBP 70 Room deposit with no prior warning at booking stage - and although I was given a nice Room upgrade - really noisy aircon and a basic fridge that went noisy unless the aircon was on.... Also Rooms at the front some outside noise at night .... So still really nice - but some things they should work on ...

Beware of this hotel

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was very good so we wanted to repeat our good experience.
This time the staff was totally unfriendly and the bad attitude started right at the check-in when they insisted to get 2000 baht deposit in cash in advance, (never in my life i was asked to put a cash deposit it was always in credit card), the room was old, neglected, paint cracked and dirty, we couldn’t sleep because of the amount of mosquitos flying and biting, the breakfast was poor, the milk we tried to use in our coffee was sour and the service at breakfast was unpleasant as if we are disturbing their time off, upon check-out we were asked to wait until the guy ran to our room and checked that we didn’t steal anything, this was very shaming and insulting. we will never go there again and will not recommend this hotel to any of our friends

The pool area was nice and restaurant ok.
The room was very dark and everything old. The bathroom was awful, dirty with cracked tiles and mold. The shower was awful. The bedrooms were on a shared balcony so no privacy as people walking past looking in window so had to keep curtains closed .
Breakfast was ok, but very little put out and we had to keep asking for fruit, cheese etc. the fridge was very old and rusty where chilled food was kept. The staff not helpful.
The position of the hotel was good as it wasn’t far to walk to the beach or shops etc
After staying 5 nights we would not return

We really enjoyed the older style architecture of the buildings and the beautiful gardens. However, the staff and service were a huge let down. The staff were very unfriendly and acted as if any request for assistance was an inconvenience to them. This was particularly true of the manageress.
Facilities also in need of serious attention. We barely had any hot water for showers despite numerous requests for assistance. The furniture in the bedroom is starting to break in places. There was a leak in our bedroom room. While Covid has had a huge impact on the hospitality industry, we felt there could have been more of an attempt from staff to make our stay more comfortable.

Great set up. I love the styling of place. The beach is only 5 minutes away, 7/11 just round the corner & Bangala rd less than 10 minutes. Plenty of choices for food , on site restaurant, or a food market just across the road.

Great location, 5 min walk to the beach. Beautiful traditional interior. Breakfast was average but day time menu was good and reasonably priced. Clean big rooms, great rate. Gym facility was good enough. Pool was lovely. Short 10 min walk to the shops, bars, restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Thai haven amidst the Patong bustle

We had a awesome stay at Royal Phawadee! It’s like a beautiful Thai haven amidst the Patong craziness. We loved our room, deluxe suite with large balcony overlooking the pool. They even decorated our bed with flowers on our arrival for our anniversary which was lovely! Breakfast was great - buffet with quite a few options. Pool area is awesome, great pool for swimming and relaxing all day. Also just 2mins walk from the beach. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Phuket. Thanks for a great stay. 😀

What a great little Village! Was a super gorgeous place to stay and it wasn’t that typical hotel construction vibe you get staying in a boring high rise. The location was wonderful short of 1km from Bangla road and a short walk to the beach, the staff were super friendly and let us have a late check out as we flew out late at night, would definitely stay again, thank you!

The resort is a real gem among the noisy Patong. When you enter it, it feels like you are in an oasis. Beautiful and will kept garden and pool, nice breakfast and friendly staff. The location is also perfect - just a few meters from the beach and a few steps from many eateries and 7/11.

Poor beds - smelly rooms.

The area around the pool and gardens are well kept and quite pretty. The bedroom we stayed in was very dark inside and stunk badly of damp. This smell seemed to be coming from the mattress. We both woke up in the morning feeling quite ill. The bed was very hard and unfortable too. We spoke to reception and they showed us two other rooms which smelt the same. The noise from the neighbouring hotel started early and went out with loud music until late. The breakfast is very poor.
There was construction work going on in the main building which was about 50 metres away from our room and next to the pool. The hotel manager (Lisa) didn't care at all about our concerns. The last straw was the laundry service, we asked for a price to wash a small bag of washing. We were told they would only tell us after the washing was complete - they tried to charge us 700 baht, again the Manager didn't care and told us we should have got a price beforehand (which we tried to do).
We decided to lose out on our money and leave the hotel 1 day early to The Holiday Inn Express round the corner which was wonderful.

They first said they don’t have my booking, had to call you guys to call them up.
Then gave me a wrong room, room didn’t match what I had booked, then when I argued gave me the correct room.
Overall terrible experience, if you don’t ask or fight for it, you don’t get anything in this hotel it seems ! Horrible for the money you pay, and stressful.

hidden paradise resort on a very crowded island

As a \"spoiled american\" I would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay to anyone who value the comfort and quality of service. Hotel is very authentic; an architecturally beautiful creation of well maintained garden, clean rooms, friendly personal and clean pool. Worst hotel we have stayed in.

Room was clean but air conditioning didn't work. Poor lighting part of the ceiling on balcony rotted out and fell down. Overall the staff had very poor communication skills.
The worst problem was the breakfast where the same loaf of bread wrapped in plastic wrap was served the five days we were there. We discussed this problem with Miss Opel the front office manager who asked us to write a letter with our complaints which we did. We checked out on day five of an eighteen day stay.

Hotel needs smartening up

I have stayed at this hotel 2x in the past, and this time there were many issues in our 1 week stay. a) the swimming pool was green due to algae for 7 days! b) Buffet Breakfast - only the cereal and bread were buffet c) internet connectivity was intermittent - my friends tried moving floors same issue d) electricity was lost for 5 hours - yet find everywhere else was fine. Whilst staff were friendly - its looked derelict.

A nice older hotel in an excellent location with good facilities. The gardens are well kept and pretty with tall palms featuring. The facilities are well cared for and clean. The pool is also well appointed and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely return another time!

Great Location

We booked a double room, it was close to the pool and entrance to the hotel. I found it to be a bit dark as it was a lower level adjoining room, but we hardly spent any time in the room so it turned out ok.
Check in was easy, as was check out. The gal at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating. The other girl that books the tours in the lobby was a gem! She was kind and we booked a few tours with her.
The ambiance of the hotel was amazing. So many healthy plants and flowers it was a great soothing place to stay. There was a 7/11 about 50 feet away. The beach was a 5 minute walk and Bangla road was about a 15 min walk. We were close to everything, it was great!

Our stay was great the staff friendly and would help with any questions. Organised our transfer for us allowing us to enjoy our holiday with out the fuss. The breakfast were fine do need to supply your own tea bags though. The main restaurant has outstanding meals and fair prices

Stayed here four nights while in Phuket, unfortunately came down with some horrible food poisoning but the staff were absolutely lovely. One staff member even went out of her way to go to the pharmacy for us to get some medicine. The room was comfortable and the facilities were nice but it is was the staff that went above and beyond that made our stay here great!

We had no hot water for the first 7 days and it took that long to fix.
We were not told about the construction that was next door when we booked only getting a letter when we arrived. This was very noisy and we could not sit on the verandah because of the noise and the sun lounges around the pool had dust all over them from the construction.
The resort has beautiful surroundings and pool and the location is perfect.
We wold stay there again but only when the construction is finished.

I love this hotel

This is the fourth year I have stayed here and will return agsin. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful. It's an oasis in the middle of a busy resort town. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is helpful and it is located two minutes from the beach. I stayed during the low season and the rates were fantastic. Anytime I had an issue it was resolved quickly and with a smile. The hotel isn't perfect, but for the price I don't expect perfection. This is a lovely hotel.

Close to everything. Friendly stuffs and helpful. Housekeeping unit should not be at the center of the property because most of every morning while i am staying there housekeeping stuffs hang out there and talk loud. Guest rooms are surrounding plus made it look busy with stuffs around housekeeping area. I feel not really relaxing just because less pravatcy. Breakfast was bored plus no sign infront of food. Needed better manage.

Better places to stay with similar location/price

The hotel and maintenance staff were so unhelpful I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The standard room:
- tiny, there wasn't enough room to open our suitcases
- the door did not completely fill its frame, and there was a crack in it, easy mosquito entry points, got bit several times even with spray
- not updated

The \"upgraded\" room:
- Also had tons of mosquitos, gave up on complaining
- Air conditioner broke in the middle night--was just awful. Called down for a fan or something to keep the room cool, received no help from the staff.

Of the time we had our room 70% of the daylight hours we were not allowed in it because it was being \"repaired.\" The first day we checked in and were not allowed in all day, only to be told at the end of the day we were being \"downgraded\" because it could not be fixed (did not see anyone going into the room to fix it). Second day same story, except it was \"fixed\" only to break shortly after when the main staff were done for the day. All the while, the hotel was not at full capacity and they insisted on these rooms.

The hotel is not a good value, you can easily find the same price per night in Phuket with much better amenities and staff. I pride myself in reading reviews and wish I had read the negative reviews of the place more thoroughly before deciding. We also stayed at Burasari resort while there, similar price, beautiful, updated, amenities, better value for the money.

Extremely overpriced for a hotel where power and water kept on going off. Breakfast was pretty awful!
Will reconsider using hotels.com again in the future if this is the standard of hotels they have on their books!

Superbe Hôtel typique Thaïlandais en plein centre de Patong. Proche de la mer. Belle piscine, personnel très accueillant. Petit déjeuner plutôt bon même si il n’est pas très varié. La salle de gym est un peu vieillotte, c’est le seul point négatif. J’y reviendrai sûrement.

Etwas ältere aber wunderschöne kleine Anlage mit großen Zimmern. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit auch ein Late Check Out funktionierte reibungslos.
Zimmer sind schon etwas abgewohnt was aber nur optisch etwas stört. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sehr übersichtlich, was natürlich auch an der Situation mit Covid und einer geringeren Auslastung zu tun haben kann. Wobei man in Thailand sowieso immer eine große Auswahl an Speisen außerhalb des Hotels bekommt und man sich somit nicht wirklich auf das Frühstück versteifen muss.
Alles in allem können wir das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.

Deuxième fois dans cet établissement ,toujours très sympa au premier abord, mais attention au laissé aller, pas de climatisation dans la chambre ( 3 réclamations) aucun services piscine avant 11.30 , serveurs affalés derrière le comptoir ,gouttières précaires, services en chambres toujours pas fait à 18h ,en fait besoin d.un vrais managers pour gérer tous ce petit monde. Dommage l.emplacement extra, de plus les prix on exploses en rapport l’an passe .
