Staff is like no other, so friendly and helpful. We accidentally left our safe open and everything was still there.

Very clean hotel. Great location. Our room was one of the nicest and the hotel is definitely one of our favourite hotels we've stayed in.

The location was great for us.

Note that you will here a bit of road noise but we slept very well.

Sad to leave it. We can't wait to go back.

1. Awesome staff. They are so sweet, helpful and always ready to have a conversation. The front desk is really approachable and welcoming.
2. The breakfast is great. Lots of options for vegans as well.
3. We got a room upgrade as well. Was not expecting that.
4. Though it is on the street, the windows are noise blocking so you really don't hear anything
5. The location is good as well. There are convinience stores, restaurants, river and the old town just 10 minutes away on foot.

Problems:
Nothing. Our stay was great. 0 problems.
If you are skeptical about booking this, don't be. Just go ahead.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel, we were here for just 5 days but it was up there with one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, it’s just a short walk to the old town. The spa was amazing and so affordable. Cannot recommend this property enough.

Great location in Hoi An, close enough to walk to the old town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Room was small but comfortable and enough space for two people. Breakfast was plentiful with both Vietnamese and western options. Free use of bicycles and shuttle to the beach. Tracy at the front desk is friendly, helpful and a great addition to the property!

Stayed 3 days with my family. It is a lovely hotel with the Hoian style interior. The staffs were very kind. We enjoyed bike rental and shuttle to the beach. The breakfast was also good. Hope to go back soon!

This was a nice place to spend a few days bumming around Hoi An. Just removed enough from the action to have it feel peaceful coming \"home\", but easy to get to everything. Very very clean, with comfy beds. We had an interior room. Felt a little cramped but it was nice to be able to open the balcony doors for fresh air if not for a view (faces a narrow courtyard). Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

My only critique is the breakfast. It's relatively big, but they don't replenish *anything* as service goes on. With an hour left of breakfast, only about 1/3 remained of the options and often what was left looked very unappealing - dried out fruit, scrapings of a noodle salad, etc. Thank goodness for the egg station. They house a lot of tour groups it seems, and I understand that a big seating can wipe out a lot at once, but we were there 4 days and this was a problem every day.

Would recommend for early risers :)

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and love the location.. very convenient to the old town and restaurants. The night market also a 5-8 minutes walk.. the room is a good size and cute… the breakfast buffet is just ok. The only negative about this hotel is that there is no air conditioning in a common area so it’s very hot.. the most important thing is the Staffs.. They are super friendly and helpful. They’re always ready to help you with a big smile. During my stayed, I dropped my money in front of the hotel. One of the staff found it and returned to me … so I give the hotel staffs 5 stars

I booked this place as it was close to the Ancient Town, and the staff there were so accommodating and kind. They organised a suit tailoring appointment for me at short notice so I was able to pick it up within a few hours. They looked after everything from restaurant recommendations, things to do in Hoi An, to airport transfers. Tracy in particular was very kind. The room was spacious, very clean and most of all cool (in that extra hot climate). I would definitely stay here again next time.

What can I say apart from this has absolutely been the best hotel I stayed at in Vietnam.
The staff are incredibly, the location is 10/10, the room - bed and shower were incredible.
The pool is extremely refreshing.
We booked this hotel 5 hours before we arrived. 15 mins after booking I received a message via WhatsApp asking what time we were going to arrive. The staff all learnt our names and we truly felt like movie stars.
Best hotel. Book as you won’t be disappointed.

A perfect little gem

I spent many days searching for that 'little gem' hotel for our stay in Hoi An and I was certainly delighted with my choice. La Residencia is delightful in every way. The staff are charming, polite and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean with character and charm. The rooms are large, well appointed & beds very comfortable indeed (a big bonus point for that!)
Breakfast is plentiful with an excellent choice and again the staff very attentive.
Location is good and an easy stroll into the main part of town and river. Also a very good tailor opposite.
I purposefully wanted a smaller hotel rather than the usual grand dames I frequent in Ho Chi Minh City. I'm also in the travel industry which makes me doubly critical of every detail from cleanliness to customer service, food and a good comfy bed.
Well done La Residencia, you're a perfect little gem of a hotel and we all enjoyed our stay immensely.

Forced to leave a reviews at the hotel

Since There aren’t too many reviews about this hotel in hotels.com website, I checked tripadvisor reviews. There are somany reviews that oddly talking about specific person’s names. For example, I liked Kevin’s room service was excellen! .. Really?? I thought it was really weired and I know how thaf happen after I visited this hotel. When I was having breakfast, someone came to me and pour some water. And I said thank you and she told me her name and asked me to leave a review about her. Same thing happens at the spa as well. It was really tired. Overall the hotel isnt too bad but it is really tiring.

An outstanding hotel experience. My family stayed 3 nights in June, 2019. Even though the heat index was 100F (ie, 40C) outside, the room had excellent temperature control day and night. We kept the room temperature at 18C (70F), and we were quickly refreshed after time outside in the old part of Hoi An.

Room was spacious and clean. Modern bathroom. Small refrigerator for cooling down our water bottles.

Superb breakfast was included in room rate, including a broad assortment of Western and Asian foods, plus very good Vietnamese “white coffee”.

Very friendly staff. They noticed from passport inspection that my son had a birthday during our stay, and surprised us at breakfast with a large birthday cake for him (plus a bouquet of roses). When we checked out at 6am on our last day, they surprised us again with a couple tart, bagged breakfast.

Overall, one of the very best hotel experiences we have experienced in world travel.

We stayed there for one night and got a free upgraded room, that’s very good! The room is well furnished, clean and cozy! I love the balcony! It’s very relaxing to sit there. The location of the hotel is great, as it is close to the old town

The reception staff, Sam, was very nice and cheerful! She proactively introduced us the hotel facilities and recommended us places to go in Hoi An.

The breakfast there is also great, I love the omelette and noodle soup!

I hope can spend a few more days there so that I can enjoy the spa and join the cooking class. The prices seem reasonable.

We stayed here 4 years ago and enjoyed our stay at the La Residencia so much we decided to return for a week in Hoi An. A lot has happened in the last 4 years, Hoi An itself has become extremely busy, mainly with Chinese tourists and the area this hotel is in, unfortunately, has become a giant coach car park in the daytime, when the tours come in from Da Nang added to this a new hotel has been built completely surrounding the hotel, which has now lost its river view, the rooms they describe as lantern view are rooms that have a balcony but have the wall of the newly built hotel covered in a sort of fence with lanterns hanging on it about 6 feet from your balcony, see photo, making the rooms dark and claustrophobic, we stayed only one night in one of these rooms and asked to be moved to a room at the front, the lantern view rooms are only any good for one or two nights, it really is a shame as the staff are wonderful and the rooms are nice and comfortable and the ambiance of the hotel is good. The only other thing is there are no decent restaurants in the surrounding area, these have all gone since our last visit and now become Spas and massage places, it's such a shame as Hoi An itself is still a lovely place to visit.

This hotel is fantastic. All of the staff are super friendly & helpful & always smiling & asking how our day was. They also provided great suggestions for where to go & what to do in Hoi An & marked everything out on the map for us.
The breakfasts at the hotel were delicious & contained a nice mix of Vietnamese & Hoi An specialities as well as Western food. The staff went out of their way to make sure the coffee was hot & that we knew which sauces went with which dishes to get the most out of our meal.
The happy hour in the evening was great with half price cocktails & fantastic service.
The room was huge with a separate lounge area and big, comfy bed. The bathroom had a great shower & big deep bath.

The best hotel of our trip!

Don't miss this hotel! We had a 5 star experience throughout. Staff went above and beyond with any request, room was beautiful and spacious, breakfast varied and excellent. Easy shuttle several times a day to and from the beach, short stroll into old town. We had a lantern view room, which means the view from the balcony was of a narrow outside area filled with the traditional beautiful lanterns hung throughout the area. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to all!

Location was quite alright, a few minutes walk from the Old Town. Amenities were good, yet cleanliness is an issue. I found a large light brown stain on my bed sheet, dead bugs and hair next to the bathtub, and dried tooth paste on the sink faucet.
I was not informed that I had to keep and return my magnetic room key card, therefore, I left them in my room while checking-out. For this, I was charged an extra 100,000vnd since they were assumed as lost.

The hotel aesthetic is charming, cozy colonial style. Breakfast provided ample of choices both local, national and western dishes. Ready solid work on what could be a great hotel!

I’m amazed by the customer service provided by staff. They provided my friends and I free bicycles to the beach with map and clear direction. A friend of my burned the iron accidentally and the hotel didn’t claim anything on us but helped her to iron her dress. The next day we checked out late and staff was still very happy and helpful . My friend forgot her passport and other important papers in the hotel and we only knew about that when we arrived at the hotel in Da Nang which was 30km far from Hoi An. We made a call to the hotel and they found those papers. The next morning a guy from the hotel brought her papers to our hotel in Da Nang. We really appreciated their help, kindness and effort. The breakfast was fanty with local food. I will come back for sure.

Very pleasant hotel near the old town of Hoi An

My wife and I had 4 nights at La Residencia. Very spacious room, clean, ample hot water shower. substantial breakfast with lots of choices and above all very pleasant and helpful staff. It has a swimming pool which we never got around to using. We would stay there again and recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Started off with great welcoming tea and fruit. Staff are all excellent with great smiles. They helped us arrange a ride to Danang at a very reasonable price. They even waved us off at the end. Exceptional service from beginning to the end. Hotel was easy walking distance to ancient town. The room was bright and clean with comfortable beds. Great interior decoration! We stayed in Superior junior room with twin beds facing the lantern view(street view). The rooms had great sound proofing. Noisy street sounds were shut off when we closed the windows. Great breakfast! Also recommend hotel massage. We got great promo and the masseuse was great! I would absolutely come back again!

Slightly dated decor, but a wonderful hotel

This hotel is perfectly placed for a visit to Hoi An It is very close to the old town, but far enough away so that guests can escape the hustle and bustle if necessary.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the room, with its lantern lit balcony overlooking the river was wonderfully spacious.
The courtyard and front garden is an absolute delight when lit up by the beautiful silk lanterns.

Feels Like Family

We just completed our second week long stay at La Residencia in as many years. We love the location close to the river and historic Old Hoi An. The hotel is always clean and fresh, the food is bountiful, good, and reasonable priced. All of that is terrific, but what set La Residencia apart is the staff. From the maids to the manager they are all first rate and bring their best effort every single day. Nothing seems to make them happier than making your life easy. That's hard to find these days. Highly recommended!

Room is beautiful with dark woods and brass tapwear. Shower took a long time to get the temperature comfortable. Friendly staff and close to centre of town.

Staff were incredible, we didn't realise that the pool was in the basement, so staff moved us to their sister hotel at Little Hoi An Beach Hotel, upgraded the room, all at no additional cost. Just fantastic..... Mr Paul, your staff are a credit to your organisation.

Great hotel with the loveliest staff!

Really enjoyed this hotel. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly helpful, accommodating and kind!

Lovely hotel close to old city

We arrived early and were checked in at 11am. Our room was on the top floor with a balcony, lovely ornate touches, super clean, great view. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast selection. Extremely helpful staff. The shuttle than runs bang on time! Great value for money, would stay again.

Perfect Hotel easy walking distance to town centre

We very much enjoyed our seven night stay where we just wanted to relax and soak up the atmosphere. Special thanks to Caroline, Linh, Rose and Jordan and all the other staff for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable, loved talking with them.
We WILL be back to stay again as soon as we can.

Good value and location

Good location to old town and local eateries, reception staff were friendly and helpful, great breakfast featuring a few local entrees. Room was clean and comfortable with balcony. Only glitch was my room had a TV that didn't work. Was told to wait the next day for repair. Initially, hotel was reluctant to move me to another room where there was a functioning TV, but finally relented.

Lovely staff make you fill at home

This hotel is in a good place to visit the old town walking distance, the room is in good condition clean and good side, but the best part is the staff they are there to help you, the receptionist all they are so good as well the restaurant girls an well I can not see any bad in this place I happy to recommend

Clean and neat boutique hotel.

Had a wonderful, relaxing, quiet experience in this hotel. Location was perfect, not in the busy area but close enough to walk to. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Swimming pool can get a little chilly since it's not outside. Massage was just average.
