I know there was a flood a few months ago, but the rooms smelled really bad. Like sewage. It was clean enough but the smell made it unbearable. Towels are one per person and they are super thin. Toilet paper is hard to come by. They added a hostel downstairs so that was odd. No amenities at all. Location is central to Old Town so walkable to everywhere. Right next to the canal. Be prepared for mosquitoes especially if you aren’t mindful of keeping the door or windows shut - there are plenty of them! If you have the $$$, check out the big white hotel next door.

Below expectation

Very disappointed with this hotel as we received an email the night prior to check-in advising breakfast no longer provided, this occurred after our cancellation period as we would have cancelled and relocated. The breakfast rooms have converted to backpacker accommodation; we arrived and the toilet did not work and the safe battery was flat (this was never fixed); location was convenient; we were in room 201 -1st floor with canal/street view was nice. Hotel is a little tired, but staff are friendly. This hotel had been recommended to us, but the standard has dropped.

Beautiful from the outside, comfortable on the inside. Great location for walking along the canal for the night market and nearby attractions and restaurants. Super clean, and I was surprised for a low cost hotel that they included amenities such as toothbrushes, tea and water. The bellman was very helpful and we were lucky to get the same gal at reception (Nyen Phuong). She had very good English and was friendly and efficient.
The only bad things were the stairs (we were on the 3rd floor) and some noisy occupants in another room.
I would stay again if a lower floor was available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hoi An Canal House, our family room was perfect for our family, the beds were so comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious, the location was an easy walk to the sights of Hoi An, the pool was good, the value for money for a whole family was amazing and most of all the staff were incredible, so helpful and friendly! I highly recommend!!

BE AWARE AND READ FULL REVIEW

Hotel is locate 3 long blocks from Old town, limited reception, everything shuts down after 11pm, even outside lights, have to manage to get to your room in the dark.
* No elevator, if your room is on 3rd floor, get ready to hike upstairs.

Room is nice and comfortable, and it was clean

Advertise free breakfast but, sandwich, egg toast, anything else you have to pay…

Okay for what you pay, but there are many other hotel options. Picture online is not true reflection on hotel property

Great location and wonderful staff

Great staff, super friendly and provide good information to help your stay in Hoi An a fun and safe one. Rooms very clean but a slight smell to bathroom and parts of room showing age. Overall fantastic value for money, great communication prior to arrival and good location. The staff really make you comfortable for this stay.

We loved our stay. The place was very clean, staff was wonderful. Location was also great. Bathroom would often have a odor. I'm assuming from the pipes. I just got to Vietnam so I don't know if that's a typical thing here with the plumbing.

good value but be patient with the staff

Good value. But The front desk staff keep asking us to book the tourist package/service which was funny. We requested to book a car to the airport. We are 2 pax but they asked us to book a 7pax car - what’s the point ? Our flight departed at 11am and we had to leave by 8:30am but they still asked us to join their tourist service for 2 hours at that early morning before we depart. Just found it funny. But the hotel is good. They set us to the 4th floor walk up. U may book lower floor in advance so don’t walk up that much.

Overall, I think this is a good place to stay at.

Great location, friendly staff. Room was large, clean and comfortable. The free breakfast in the morning was also great.

However, during our stay, there was 1 time where all the lights turned off because the breaker was triggered. They had to send someone in to reset the switch, which was in the ceiling of our bathroom.

Also, our keycard stopped working after the second day, and they had to give us another card.

Overall, it was still a positive experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Superior Room is abit small but has everything, Roof top swimming pool has a nice view, Breakfast is nice but still can improve, customer service is beyond expectation it is the best i have ever experienced

The only down size is the fragrant of the hotel is abit wired it will be perfect if using more relaxing smell
This hotel got only 1 elevator

I wanted to emphasize again the customer service is the best of the best!!!

Great location! 5 minutes walking distance from the old town. The service was excellent. The owner, Ms. Oanh was very helpful with anything that I needed.The free bikes were also nice. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Not very clean but otherwise comfortable

Slightly shabby rooms that were not really clean. Floors were covered in bugs, other people's hair and dust. Sheets were not changed at all during our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very good if you want to visit the old town, but overall it really isn't worth $70 a night.

Budget boutique hotel

Visited Hoi An in Oct and decided to stay at this hotel based on budget, location and reviews. Imo, the location is fine. 5 mins to Hoi An old town, near Japanese Bridge with many eateries nearby.

Pros: Breakfast was good. The bed is large and comfortable. Location is fine.

Cons: There's no lift available at this premise. The tiles in the bathroom looked old and dirty. The stench of sewage were strong at times. There's some ongoing construction nearby and the noise can be overbearing during the day.

Nice hotel close to markets and restaurants.

I had 4 weeks through Vietnam and Cambodia and this hotel was by far the best one that I stayed in. The room was very clean and tidy and the king size bed was super comfortable. The bathroom had good hot water and the airconditioner worked efficiently.
The hotel is located about a 3 minute walk away from the old town which has many restaurants and places to shop but far enough away to get a quiet nights sleep.
It has a nice swimming pool and an area with tables and umbrellas to sit around at the end of the day.
Van, Oanh and Thao work in the reception area and can organize your day tours at very reasonable prices. Lai works in the restaurant, these girls are lovely and treat you as a guest and not just a number.
The hotel has a private car for airport or train station transfers and the prices are comparabe to an honest taxi driver,
I have no complaints about this hotel at all, and I highly recommend it, It will be my first choice if I visit Hoi An again. If you want to go to the beach a taxi will cost you about 80,000 to 100,000 dong. My personal choice was close to the old town as the restaraunts and shopping far outweight what is available at the beach. I like to thank all the staff at the Pavillon Hotel for such a memorable stay.

Comfortable, clean and like the bed

Everything is fine, the bed is so comfortable, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Only thing there is no lift to the 4 floor high hotel but the staff took care of my luggage. No buffet breadfast but set meal is good. Room is so clean and big. I will come back to stay and recommend to friends.

The hotel is clean. The room is in very nice condition for the money we paid for. It is very close to the old town. Just take 5-10 min by walking. The staffs are all very friendly and helpful.
The pool looks very nice in the picture by the actual pool size is quite small and shallow. More suitable for kids then for adults.

An amazing hotel

We stayed here for four nights in August and were really impressed. The rooms are decorated to a high standard and are very comfortable. It is also located just out of the main town, which is a 5 minute walk away. THis means that it is quiet but close enough to all the Hoi An has to offer. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Helt ok för det priset. Kändes tryggt och trevligt. Saknade frukost, men det visste vi om. Bra AC och sängar. Stora rum och skön dusch! Nackdelen var väl ändå ljudet från gatan. Kan ändå tänka mig att bo här igen!

Rummet var någolunda bekvämt. Soffan i rummet var dock mycket smutsig. Även poolen var jättesmutsig så att det knappt gick att bada i den. Bristande kunskap bland personalen. De flesta talade ingen engelska alls och även de som talade engelska kunde inte hjälpa med simpla saker som att rekommendera en nära supermarket eller någonstans att äta frukost.
