Very clean room, staff lovely, bar ok, breakfast was a very poor selection. Fir eg cold boiled eggs, cold french fries, cold cooked vegetables. They really need to cater to all tourists not just Asian ones

Good stay the only thing for me were pillows far too soft so had to double up. The bikes need to be fixed up as they are in pretty rough shape as my wife’s broke down 4 times on a 10 km ride it was a good thing I could turn the crank bolt with my fingers to tighten it up. Decent breakfast and great service.

The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk from the old town, and is done a quiet side street. This is a good thing as the Old Town can get quite busy. The receptionists at the front desk were helpful when we needed to book transport or something specific.

Lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood but 10-15 mins walk to the downtown action. Room was cute and cozy, with a great view on the river and sunset, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! And the staff was very attentive and kind.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The lobby, our room, the bathroom - were artfully decorated. It is located a bit away from the busy town, which makes it a nice refuge from all the noise and activities in Hoi An. We were not as impressed with the staff at the hotel, however. The main manager was rude to us during check-in, and the rest of the staff were almost not present. We almost felt like we were intruding on them by staying there. The breakfast buffet was just OK - a lot of the food seemed like it was restaurant leftovers from the day before. Overall we had a nice stay and the hotel has lots of potential, but there are likely more friendly properties to choose from in Hoi An.

This is a very pretty hotel. The decor and the all of the art was very nice. Our bed was a little hard for me and the shower took ages to heat up. The pool area is nice and shady but some of the tiles were coming loose on the floor of it. The breakfast was average. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great little massage place next to it called Miaa beauty that I would go back to again.

The hotel is 15 min walk from Hoi An ancient town center which was the main reason we choose to stay here. There is a humidity and mold issue at the hotel. Our room was smelling mold but we didnt bother informing the reception since we were staying only 1 night. It is not as seen as is photos a bit more tackier but in the end its a small cute locally managed place. Having free bikes was useful. Breakfast was average. Staff was kind and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at Son Hoi An Boutique Hotel. There was a minor issue with our booking at check (occurring from an issue at Expedia’s end). Staff were able to resolve this for us and ensured it did not negatively impact our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and we loved the attention to style and detail. The staff were friendly and helpful and the free shuttle bus to the beach was a great bonus. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

Situated 7-8 minutes walk from the centre of Hoi An is perfect . The hotel is cosy and the rooms are large and well equiped.
Like other boutique hotels comfort and design are at the fore front. I would stay here again.

Beautiful property within walking distance (easy 10-15 minute leisurely stroll) to Hoi An old town. Hotel offers a shuttle but the shuttle can’t get in the old town (for obvious reasons) so you still need to walk a little to get to town. Staff were very attentive and polite. Hotel has lots of beautiful colours and is furnished impressively. Breakfast was good too! The hotel has a common area used for ironing where you can find 2 weak irons and 2 ironing boards but maybe they can start allowing irons in the rooms in the future. Nonetheless I had an amazing stay at the hotel.

From the moment we entered we felt very much at home, welcomed by the genuinely attentive staff. We were upgraded to a room with an amazing view which was spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the kind receptionist went by every guest to make sure they were well taken care of. Short walk to the old town,

This property was amazing. The room size were big and very clean. Breakfast buffet spread was awesome. So close to Ancient town. Would ve a great base for day trips to Da Nang and neighboring sites. 5 stars, you must book!!

I want to go back to Hoi An purely because of this hotel! It was amazing from the start. It's tucked away from the busy part of the city. They were welcoming upon arrival and got us a welcome drink and instantly got us a room (with the 2 beds I requested). The room was immaculate. The bathroom was so peaceful and beautiful. The pool was amazing!!! Free breakfast was even better. I miss this hotel!

We are so glad to stay at this hotel as we did not want to be in the old town - too crowded and touristy. Son Hoi A was as beautiful as the photos and all the staff were so kind and helpful. I was traveling with my elderly mother who needed a lot of care and attention, and they were very patient and aware of her needs. I myself also needed medical attention, and the staff were very good at escorting me to medical Center and translating and helping me understand what my options were. In addition, while quieter than the old town, it was so great to have the local coffees and casual eateries just in the area by the hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

We stayed for 3 nights here as part of our 2 week honeymoon traveling throughout Vietnam. We excited to see Hoi An and stay with this boutique place which looked like just what we wanted from the photos.

We checked in during the Tet holiday & advised on arrival that some services would not be running like the shuttle bus and the market - no issues at all and we were appreciative of the information. We w

Bit of an odd moment when the receptionist suddenly snapped at my husband because he was trying to clarify & understand her response to a question on the map. It was actually funny in an awkward way as I then joked with my husband that he’s never been spoken to like that by an Asian woman despite being married to one!

For me the most disappointing thing was breakfast. the western hot foods, breads, pastries were not fresh. There was little variety and none of it was replenished after 9am if it ran out (we didn’t make breakfast before so couldn’t comment), it was definitely not a 5 star breakfast and progressively worse across three days.

This was our first trip to Vietnam and we spent majority of time in Hoi An. This hotel was wonderful! We had a great location to walk into town, but still quiet and peaceful at night. The staff are above and beyond accommodating, the breakfasts were wonderful, and the property is well maintained. We were sad to leave!

Son Hoi An is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The grand suite room was fantastic but above that is how good the staff and services are. They were all attentive and happy to help with any enquiry.
The services are superb at the hotel. The restaurant was so good we ate there twice. Laundry is cheap and efficient - we had it returned within hours.
The spa is excellent and extremely reasonably priced.
The hotel arranged return transfers to the airport.
Overall I would definitely encourage anyone visiting Hoi An to stay in this hotel.

Really disappointed with stay. Our room was incredibly loud next to lift shaft and other room noise was terrible. The sliding door in room didn’t lock. Some staff were nice. We not stay again - very poor value for money compared with other hotels in area.

Son Hoi An -- what a find! For the value you cannot stay at a better place in the area. The staff are attentive and solicitous; the rooms are quirky and remarkably spacious. I would recommend any friend visiting Hoi An to stay there. I'm hard-pressed to believe there is a better hotel in the area for the price and location!

Great Stay with Excellent Service at Hoi An Hotel

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at this hotel in Hoi An. Though it's located slightly away from the ancient town, we were able to use the complimentary bicycles provided by the hotel to get there in no time. We were pleasantly surprised when the hotel staff upgraded our deluxe double room to an executive suite. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. All the staff members were friendly, polite, and willing to assist with anything we needed. The breakfast options were not extensive, but they were all delicious and satisfying. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hoi An.

This boutique hotel is beautifully appointed with generous rooms that are comfortable and quiet, excellent TV and comfortable beds. Although it is a decent (5 minute) walk to the old town this is one of its strengths as it is out of the touristy busy area that can be overwhelming. The daily breakfast was exceptional and catered for my daughter and I who cannot eat gluten. The value for money was also great. The best part of our stay were the staff who were so warm and friendly and accommodating. The hotel manager, the bar tender, the reception staff, wait staff and bell men all went out of their way for us checking on us everyday and going beyond to help us. This is easily one of the best hotel experiences that I have come across particularly in terms of their service. Our family would recommend The Son Boutique Hotel and Spa to anyone. The pictures look stunning but it is even more beautiful in real life. If you are looking to genuinely relax in Hoi An this is your place. This is the smallest of details but the water pressure isn’t great when showering but this is nothing to us but I want to be honest. Also in the pool the spa isn’t a hot tub it is just a different section of the pool…again this doesn’t really matter to our family but it’s important to be honest. We do hope to return.

The decor was lovely. However, the room we booked wasn’t so much! We booked what we thought was one of their better rooms. However it was painted dark red and was very dull. It also had a bad smell coming from the drains. The bath on the balcony looks lovely however, is not private as the people in the room next door can see over their wall. The staff did offer us another room but it was the only room they had available. This room was beautiful. The decor was so much nicer but unfortunately, it was a family room with no balcony. The breakfast was the poorest breakfast that I think I have ever had in a hotel. I feel bad writing this review because the staff here are very nice and helpful.

またスタッフさんがとても親切で気を配ってくれて楽しい滞在でした。
が、真夜中に隣の男性がベランダで大声で電話をされてるのと、プールに真夜中にずっと話してる人がいて、全然休息がとれず、散々な思いをしました。ホテルの責任云々ではなく、こういう事があったという事をお伝えしたくてコメントしてます。本来リフレッシュしたくてきてるのに、残念です。

cons: at the pool there was a lot of noise as there were many children. breakfast buffet was not so inviting and there was a lack of space in the dining room. air conditioning in the room often failed and it took several minutes to restart which was annoying in the middle of the night
