The rooms at the hotel were uniformly very small. Had this been clearer at the time of booking, I would have reconsidered my choice. Prior to arrival, I had emailed the hotel to request a goodwill gesture in light of our honeymoon stay; however, no arrangements or gestures were provided, which was disappointing.

During breakfast service, staff were slow to replenish empty fruit platters, often resulting in limited availability of fresh fruit. Additionally, the bathroom exhaust fan in one of the rooms was excessively noisy.

The “garden view” room description is misleading, as there is no maintained garden. Instead, the rooms face a nearby vacant plot with overgrown vegetation, which detracts from the overall experience.

Its a beautiful property. The management is amazing. Its a bit far from the beach but they do provide shuttle services - 19 minutes. But I would still recommend this property. Most of the tours do provide pickup so doesn’t matter much.

The hotel itself is nice, but with it being an open air concept, the only AC you get would be in your room. The room itself was clean. However the toiletries were lacking; they didn’t replace it daily compared to other 4-5 star hotels I’ve stayed in Thailand. The quality of towels also fell short as for the pillows. I wish they had thicker options, they were on the low profile soft side.

The staff on this property were the nicest that I’ve ever encountered. The free breakfast had a sufficient amount of variety and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The swimming pool was a good size and so beautiful as you can see all the palm trees and limestone cliffs in the background. The hotel is about a 15 to 20 minute walking distance to ao nang Beach and about a 35 minute drive to the airport without traffic.

The location is a little out of the way but just a short walk from all the action and I liked being away from the craziness while still being close by. The staff at the front desk were amazing! Take a pass on this hotel!

I was amazed at how terrible this hotel was. It’s dirty. The front driveway, lobby, hallways, pool area all looked worn and in bad shape. Even the tables in the restaurant had burn marks and stains on them. The walls in the hallways are old and stained. I would not stay at this hotel again!
The staff were lovely and very nice to deal with. Thank goodness for that.
The restaurant has a terrible menu and the breakfast was only so so. I stayed at another Centara, the Anda Deviand that was amazing this. The Phu Pana was not. It was just in bad shape. Even in the room the waste baskets were rusted and something I wouldn’t even touch. Cheap toilet paper. I always had to go ask for towels. They never left any. Overall I give it a very low score I would never return.

Terrible cheap food and useless restaurant staff.

Nice hotel, rooms very clean and maids were excellent as was reception staff. Pool area ok and clean. The only negative is the restaurant, the food is atrociously bad, and the staff are useless. They forget orders and food is cheap rubbish. The breakfast is also terrible, again just cheap rubbish so don't bother including any food when booking here... Otherwise hotel was good.

Air con wasn’t sufficient enough in my particular room but was great in my friends.
Pool area seems poorly designed with the amount of surface water that doesn’t drain away around the beds. Pool bar/restaurant is over priced and would be utilised more if there was fair pricing.

Overall stay was good. The hotel is nicely decorated and the rooms were clean. Our view of the pool and mountains were a nice way to wake-up. We were able to chat with some of the employees who had checked-up on us. Room service ladies were always polite and nice too. The pool area was really nice and they played calming music most of the time. Around 2-5pm, they play loud house music, which could annoy you if you're not into kind of music.

Initially, our stay did not start off good. Check-in was confusing. We rented 2 rooms, but the front desk seemed to think we had one and our room was not ready after the 3pm check-in time. We were there at 3:30pm. In addition, we were not provided a key for the lights in the room (there is a key for everything and one for just the electricity), nor pool cards. We were confused when we were asked for pool cards for pool towels. The AC also needed some maintenance, which took a few hours. It looked like the condenser needed water for one and a filter change on the other room. I would say about half the towels that we received were frayed. And the blue pool towels were very worn and had stains.

All these issues were eventually addressed and the employees were friendly and professional about it. The issues were stressful at the beginning, but was otherwise we had a good multi-day stay at this chic hotel.

Really disappointing stay - from room and public areas cleanliness to staff showing no understanding or interest. Reception team called my room, waking me up at night to ask to keep it quiet… there was a room below having a party but no one from staff cared enough to check first where the noise is coming from. No apology provided. Lack of professionalism, dirt, bad smell… the list can continue but I think breakfast was the most disappointing. All hot items were always cold and overall their ‘buffet’ was unreasonably limited. You can notice that management is trying to save on anything.

The location wasn’t great but still walking distance away from the shops. There was a few nights where they played super loud music downstairs late at night which was not very peaceful but overall we enjoyed are stay!

We enjoyed the daily breakfast a lot - lots of delicious food options and fresh fruit plus the staff at the restaurant area were fantastic! The location was great and very convenient. We had an issue our second day with the water, it was coming out brown but it was fixed the same day, we lost power the 4th day but that was fixed within an hour. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay and would definitely return, beautiful interior, great shuttle and location, front desk booking lady is just great!! Breakfast was fine, something there for everyone and the pool area had a lovely view and was well equitable with sun beds!

However just for future guest comfort we have listed our very minor niggles (all with the bathroom in our room): bathroom door wouldn’t stay open and swung into and hurt both of us by the time we finished our stay. There was a real damp drain smell when we arrived again we assumed caused by the lack of ventilation from the constantly closed door. And finally the bathroom plug wouldn’t stay open so every time we washed our hands or brushed teeth the residue would remain and we’d have to hold plug out manually. We were only there for one full day and were out most of the time which is why we didn’t bother to make a fuss. It might have been just our specific room.

Centra by Centara was a wonderful place to stay in Ao Nang Krabi. The location was close to the beach/shops. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle but if you need to walk it isn't a far distance. We chose the breakfast buffet which we enjoyed. There was lots of options and it made it worry free to start our day. The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly and helpful.

The views from the rooms are absolutely beautiful, the pool is fantastic and the restaurant, although a little pricey on some items, has delicious food and drinks for very cheap. The location is also great! The 15-20 minute walk to the beach is lined with huge amounts of fun things to do, assuming you enjoy bars, and the beach itself is gorgeous. I will be coming back.

The place had charm and it generally had the resources of an upscale hotel. The pool area was beautiful because it overlooked huge limestone formations and the food was very good. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful -in particular, the woman who organized tours was very accommodating and someone was available until 9pm every night. They also had a free shuttle running constantly into town, making it safer and easier to explore the area. They had an exceptionally good breakfast buffet that went way beyond the usual eggs and toast (it was more in league with a 5 star hotel). The resort had the warm, inviting atmosphere of a luxurious resort with enough guests to make it feel busy. One con -walls were thin and I could hear the guests next door very clearly when they moved in. Also the indoor-outdoor design of the hotel meant that only individual rooms were air-conditioned. I found this very off-putting initially, but I think it's typical of resorts in the area.

Clean room upon check in; however, when we requested extra pillow, we never received one. Rooms were not cleaned until very late in the day. It was 4pm and our room still had not been cleaned, towels changed or bed made etc. We even had to go and grab toilet paper off their cart in the hallway. Restaurant service was poor. We ordered a chicken avocado wrap and were served a chicken Caesar wrap. When we pointed out the error, their answer was that the avocado was not good that day so they changed our order without consulting us. Then they proceeded to still charge us for the avocado wrap. Dinner service was extremely slow! Took over 1hr for pizza and pasta meal order, and it wasn’t even fresh when served. That’s with the restaurant having only a handful of customers! Ok hotel to stay on a budget, but don’t expect any extras.

Lovely mid-budget stay in Ao Nang (Krabi)

We booked a last-minute trip to Krabi (Ao Nang area) and ended up at Centra by Centara. It's about a 20 minute walk from the beach, but they have a beach shuttle that runs several times a day, and otherwise Tuk Tuks are pretty affordable and it's a lovely walk as well if it's not too hot out. Centra is a pleasant hotel with a restaurant and a pool; we didn't eat at the restaurant so cannot comment, but the pool is nice. Rooms were medium-sized with comfy (though firm) beds. Everything was quite clean and new-looking, and the bathroom had good water pressure/temperature throughout. Service was wonderful, English was widely available though some patience is required (don't be a rude American -- it's amazing that folks speak English at all, so be kind if you are a native English speaker, or learn Thai instead).

Our room had a view of a dirt parking lot behind the hotel, but we were never in our room long enough to care much. The rooms on the front side of the hotel have a better view facing some amazing limestone cliffs, but also a bit more road noise.

The pool area was very nice however, the free shuttle service to the beach that was advertised by the hotel only left for the beach once every 3 hours and was on a first come first serve basis. Because of the inflexibility if the shuttle, we needed to walk to the beach every day, which was a hot, dirty walk down a long Main Street. The rest of the hotel was very rundown, with all of the towels (beach and bath) were threadbare and stained. The tiles and mirrors were dirty and stained and one of the days our bathroom was barely cleaned. We only had the breakfast one of the days and it was basically inedible however there were lots of good restaurants a 10-15 min walk from the hotel so we had all the rest of our meals outside of the hotel. All in all, would not recommend.

Good \"get away\" from touristic Ao Nang

Nice hotel in a quiet area. Ca. 20 min walk from the ao nang beach. The hotel offers a free shuttle something like 6 times a day. The service works very well and the driver is a lovely person. Pool is quite nice, but in the photos it looks bigger and more relaxing. The sunbeds and tables could be cleaned at least... Also the cleaniness of the room was quite good if you don't look at details, like doors, balcony or windows. The bed was great!

It was the worst serviced hotel that I had met in my life..
When I checked-in and took a shower, I found out there was no towel..
So, I called to the front to bring me a towel..
I could get a towel after 4-times calls and an hour-long wait..
I complained it to the manager, and the manager appolozied it and suggested to me one glass of cocktail and mocktail complimentarily..
But, guess what..? I had never got ths cocktail even though the front guy said that it would be served soon..
And the next day.. I found out there was no towel again after my outing..

One more fact is that it has terrible drain smell in the bathroom..

My husband and I stayed at Centra by Centara for 3 nights over New Years Eve.
Very new hotel with good ammenities and a great breakfast.
The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the beach and offers a free shuttle a couple of times a day.

The only downside is that the person offering tours wasn’t very helpful and never recommended things we could actually do so we ended up going to another vendor. This service could be better and they could have someone that speaks better English.
Apart from that everything was great!

Really enjoyed our stay at Centra! Definitely paying extra for the pool view room was worth it as it added to the luxurious feel for not much more. Breakfast was pretty decent although similar spread everyday. Staff were very kind and helpful . Location was a bit far out from the beach area and required 20+ mins of walking. In the day there is not much to see on the way, would be nice to have closer shuttle timings going to and from the beach. Room is comfortable, no bedroom slippers or robes though there's a huge umbrella which would have come in handy but thankfully it didn't rain while we were there. There's a nice and popular thai food place just round the corner and near to Radarom Spa which is also great . Perhaps the hotel can make better use of what looks like a wasteland around it because it's not so aesthetically pleasing. But within the hotel is just what you need for a relaxing stay in krabi!

I asked for a nice room and was given a view of a car park. Same breakfast everyday. Good gym but should be open 24hrs. Some TV channels didn't have a clear picture. Room is quite basic and I didn't feel relaxed.
Lovely cleaner on 3rd floor and staff member who greets you for breakfast. Liked the glass wall, in bathroom and power/temperature from shower. The design of the open plan entrance/reception was lovely. Free shuttle to beach, but it's only a 10 minutes walk on a straight road!
The hotel was fine, but I wouldn't stay again.

A really nice contemporary designed hotel with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. There was a good choice of international dishes at breakfast. Many bars and restaurants are also available within walking distance. The pool is great with a beautiful mountain view however there is limited space around it for sunbeds, so get there early. The beach is sadly 2km away. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus but you will need to plan journeys to fit with the timetable as they do not run continually throughout the day. Unbelievably there is what I assume to be a refuse collection point on the edge of the road just across from the hotel's entrance. Consequently rubbish from nearby properties is deposited here. Miraculously the pile disappeared the day the hotel was hosting the Miss Universe competition!

The hotel is a little away from the main Ao Nang beach ‘strip’. 20 mins walk or 10 mins in a tuktuk (we walked out but tuktuk back as the road isn’t lit well). The hotel is very modern with lovely decor and staff that cannot help enough. The room wasn’t huge but bright, modern, clean and good shower. The pool is quite small but the view of the cliffs is amazing. Booked transfers to Lanta with the travel desk and they were comparable to the agents out on the street too (often you pay a lot more in hotels in thailand). Would 100% stay again.

Surreal location best stay in Ao Nang

The hotel itself is gorgeous upon arrival. It's sittuated accross the cliff with a magnificent view. You feel like an avatar scene being there. Our room was on the fourth floor with a walkout balcony and view of both the cliff and pool areas. Both views were beautiful. The pool is clean and the water was perfectly controlled for both temperature and chlorine level. It wasn't harsh on my skin to be in the pool. I must say the food there is absolutely delicious. My husband and I chose the upgraded option for breakfast included with our stay. That was a very good decision. Breakfast was 7am-10am with a huge variety of options ranging from Western style breakfast to Thai style options. The fresh fruit salad bars were amazingly fresh! The amenities were super clean, our room was cleaned and our bed was made everyday. Unlike most other hotels in thailand who charge for everything, centra by Centara Pu Panu provides everything for free. The staff was helpful and friendly. Everyone spoke English and was respectful of the guests. My husband and I had a perfect stay here and would love to come back to the same hotel/resort again. Thank you Centara Pu Panu for this experience, you are doing an amazing thing for Thailand in terms of your food and service quality by setting a very high standard for your guest experience. Never change that!

Very relaxing place;mountain view, breezy, spacious and clean room. Hotel staff are friendly and fluent in English. Very hospitable.

Something Special

A gorgeous hotel with such a nice atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in such a good location for us, had really great facilities and staff were all lovely. We were worried about the room being a bit too small for us as we’re used to staying in bigger serviced apartments, but it over exceeded our expectations as it was much more spacious in person. If we ever find ourselves in Krabi again, we’d definitely be back at Centra.

Clean hotel! Great room service

My stay at Centara was amazing! The staff was super friendly and the hotel is extremely clean
The towels were extremely clean, same with sheets and overall hotel.
I loved my balcony but wish I had the view of the mountains/ pool, had more of a city view which was not as nice so definitely request a pool view.
I didn't pre order the breakfast but I wound up eating at the breakfast buffet every morning which was about 300 baht.
I ordered room service twice as well and the food/ service was excellent! Very quick and came in about 15 minutes each time.
The pool was great with big clean pool towels for use as well.
Location was far from Krabi town (about 25 min drive) but close to Ao Nang Beach.
Overall amazing stay I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Krabi.

Good hotel if staying near Aonang Beach

We stayed for 3 nights and booked this hotel because it is quite new. Room on the 6th floor was perfectly ok, with no issues and cleaned daily and well. There is a balcony if you wish to smoke with a direct view of the hillside. The Hotel has a good gym and swimming pool. The only negative during our stay (which was in the end effectively handled by the hotel management) is the customer service, particularly in the restaurant. Whilst they handle almost everyone at breakfast time with a good breakfast selection of food, in the evening the staff just seem to have lost interest. It took the hotel GM and a complaint via the company email survey to get my satisfaction.
None the less, hotel is good and would recommend it.

Very happy with our stay

The hotel itself is very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The pool area is great and the restaurant being right there you can even get a drink by the pool. The staff was attentive and kind. For example, my boyfriend’s birthday happened on a day that we were there, and I suppose they saw the date from his passport, so at breakfast they just brought him a cake with some candles and they sang him happy birthday. It was so sweet and unexpected.
The hotel isn’t very close to the beach but they have shuttle busses you can take there if you want. Our stay was focused more on activities which we booked with the hotel tourist office directly.
Was sad to leave and would definitely come back

A relaxing mini break in Krabi

We had 3 nights at this hotel. After the tired period of waiting for the airport bus coming to Krabi town to get the rental motorbike, we found this is the recovering place to heal the city lives that we had in Bangkok.
Although we stayed at the garden view room, we loved the green and the time to go down for fitness and swimming pool in the hotel. Waking up in the morning with great breakfast and service mind staffs, make our stay very memorable.

We had a wonderful stay at Centara. I highly recommend getting a view of the pool as it will also include a stunning view of the mountain cliffs.
The room was very well kept and the AC worked well, bring a must as April temperatures can be rather high.
We had a bit of a mixup with check-in as we had initially requested the wrong dates. However the front desk was very kind and as acommodating as they could be considering they were fully booked for our second night. Even with our little mishap check in was a breeze.
The hotel itself is located a little off the main road so it was not noisy at all at night and we could also take advantage of the beautiful view from our balcony in relative seclusion.
The WiFi worked, shower was hot, bed was nice and the room was clean so that worked for us!
The breakfast had many options to choose from and they had a selection of refreshing juices I had never had before.
All in all we had a lovely stay and I would definitely revisit Centra by Centura again!

The hotel is a little further off the tourist strip along the main Ao nang strip, but they have a free bus shuttle from the hotel and its only a 20 mins walk past lots of market stalls and is a nice stroll home at the end of the day,
7/11 or $2 shops are within a 3 min walk for convenience, the staff were super friendly and caring I got came down with a throat infection on arrival and the staff genuinely cared to help me get to a pharmacy, eat with room service or in the restaurant and still enjoy my holiday, the pool is a standard pool, plenty of places to sit shade and sun, nice spot for a chill day in the hotel
Food in the hotel restaurant is tasty and not bad price, however the main strip of Ao nang is where you will find the atmosphere and life.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, it is a little confronting to see the luxury of tourist life in the hotel metres away from thai slum like buildings, there is rubbish along the road and it looks a bit rundown the immediate area around the hotel, but that thailand

Good newer hotel

Good basic hotel. The pool is a bit smaller than appears in photos but there are plentiful loungers around. Definitely fills up with families and kids in the afternoon. Hotel shuttle to Walking Street is great and punctual. Staff was very nice!

Hotel was of good standard, it’s a bit of a walk to the main beach area as hotel is further up the main road and down a side street. They do have a bus to the beach, could be more pick up times in the evenings.

The pool area is a little small and if you sit on one side water from the pool pours over the edge onto the seating area.

Otherwise clean, comfortable room, decent hotel.

Modern hotel tucked away with privacy

Centra is tucked away in a remote lane off the bustling main street of Ao Nang which offers privacy and quietness. There is however a considerable walk to Ao Nang beach and the walk along the remote lane can be a little off putting considering that one would need to pass by a stash of foul smelling garbage that's being disposed by a shop house along the lane.

All the staff here are very friendly and offers great assistance when needed. I had some concerns when I first checked in but was immediately offered assistance by the front desk. Very thankful once again for their assistance and to ensure guest satisfaction.

Overall, good value, very clean, friendly staff and peaceful environment. Would recommend Centra Phu Panu to anyone visiting Ao Nang, all other things considered.
