The staff were friendly, helpful and very conscientious from the front desk staff to the bartenders to the housekeepers. I found the front desk staff and bartenders very helpful, proud of their country and always willing to travel tips and a local perspective. I was impressed by the housekeeper's hard work and honesty. I accidentally left my safe open and upon returning to my room, all the contents in the safe were untouched.

The staff itself was incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are in disrepair and it was dusty and a small amount of mold in the shower. The cleaning people would come in the evening and slam doors talk loud at a time we are supposed to be able to relax. The hallway smelled of poo. The food was good but on the last day I spotted a cockroach on the wall!!! This may have once been a 4 star establishment but it no longer meets those standards. But I guess you get what you pay for.

We were 3 adults in a room and were initially given 2 single beds and a pull out sofa with a springy mattress that was not going to be comfortable. We went to reception and asked if there were any alternatives. The receptionist knew right away our concerns and was able to provide another room where they could bring in a single bed. Housekeeping brought in the bed sooner than we expected and the bed was comfortable. Thank you.

Wouldn’t stay here again. We were overcharged for room service AFTER they brought us the wrong food (€35 magically went up to €41). If I hadn’t been dealing with a major illness I would’ve done something more about it. We reserved a room with a king bed and what we got was two twins pushed together with a huge divide between them instead. Overall just disappointing.

The reception area looks nice and people were corteous. The bathrooms are clean, although small.

The hotel needs serious renovations. The lobby will deceive you as it looks modern and elegant, but the rooms are old and extremely small. The halls smell of humidity and look dark. The beds are small and uncomfortable. One of the sheets had a blood stain that we did not notice until we removed the duvet cover. The feather illows stunk of vomit.The air conditioner did not lower the temperature enough. It stayed uncomfortably warm during the stay. The location is away from city center. It is NOT within walking distance. Metro stations are fairly close, though. I would not consider staying there again.

Property lobby is the highlight. All downhill from there. Extremely dated in rooms and the least effective ventilation system I’ve ever experienced. Technician came to room and suggested it was working. Language barrier but reality was deep within the vent there was evidence of cool air however blower motor did not circulate throughout the room. Heat was unbearable. Front staff barely acknowledged me in the morning as they knew they didn’t resolve the issue. Suggested they would bring fans and never did. Certainly not what I expected or paid for for an intercontinental designation. Very disappointed.

A great stay. The staff makes this hotel exceptional. They are very friendly and they go above and beyond. Ruben helped with picture taking and getting us a fan and leaving a handwritten note to wish my husband happy birthday. Joao and Diogo helped with places to go and Joao had a sense of humor with getting a water gun and playing with my husband whose birthday it was. Tiago and Luis helped with checking us in and getting us extra towels. We would definitely stay here again because of them.

Hotel staff were amazing - very helpful, very accomodating. Location is great and price is right. Rooms are good, clean and very typical of Europe. Parking included which is very good for Lisbon. Minuses - air conditioning is ok as the building is old but the staff did bring up a fan which helped (there in August when it was very hot). Breakfast @ 15 Euros was pricey for what is was. Gym is a small room with aged equipment.

Very good and i will come back. Please check the tv signals very glitchy, restock coffee when cleaning and inserrt new plastic bag in bin so we can dispose trash there was also sand in my bed after cleaning. Other than this im very satisfied, good room service, simple check in, beautiful lobby and a varied minibar. I also appreciate the taxi service outside very covinient.

A standard Holiday Inn hotel

Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental is near to the airport and conveniently located if staying near to airport is the priority. This also means it is away from the city centre and need cab/bus to reach to city centre. The breakfast provided is basic but the staff is attentive and happy to help. The air-condition in the room was average and we had struggle during the heatwave in Lisbon. Overall, we had a good time with standard quality of Holiday Inn.

reception staff we asked the to book for us a tour for the next day buy what they did they booked for us the day after ( our travel day ) when we went to the tour location they asked us to pay extra 33 euro per adult. We paid 78 euro extra because of the reception mistake.
I didn't recomad this hotel , it is not worthed.

Really enjoyed my stay here.- the property is well maintained and clean. Most of the staff were great and very helpful...there was one night staffer who did not seem to like being there, but everyone else was really friendly. There is a restaurant onsite that is pretty good. Close to the airport and not far from the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again.

VERY SMALL. MINI ROOM

Hotel is in nice area. Close to station to catch Sintra train or metro. The major problem was the size of the room and size of the bed. We had two carry on bags and the room is so small to even put them out of the way. The bed was supposed to be double but at best it was a smaller than the full size bed. I understand that hotel rooms are typically smaller in Europe than the US, but this is probably the smallest room and bed that I have ever been too. Not worth the price. Just to give you an idea of how small the room is, the distance between the bed and the table against the wall, you have to walk sideways to get from one side of the bed to the other side.

Oh, BTW, the bathroom was also so small that you have to be careful to not to hit your knee against the bidet as you sit on the toilet.

We were very satisfied with our stay in Holiday Inn Continental. We arrived from our flight before check-in time and were able to check into our rooms early. We were well located -- walking distance to train station and bus stops, and taxis were always available out front. My daughter loved the deep bathtubs and very hot water.
The restaurant featured good traditional Portuguese food --fun buffet -- and restaurants, grocery stores and a mall were nearby. During the Iberian power outage, we were unable to use credit cards anywhere, but generators kept elevators and kitchen running and lobby lit, although rooms were dark. When we returned from Barcelona for two nights after a much delayed flight, we got in easily though it was well after midnight. Staff was courteous and helpful-- spoke good English. Laundry service was too expensive to use, though.

I liked everything about this property. I made the right choice. The property was clean and well kept. The staff was very polite and helpful regardless of the language barrier. The food was great and the location was perfect. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. I would love to stay there again.

The property was very clean and maintained well. Catching a taxi was very easy right outside the hotel. It wasn’t a very walkable location but there were a few restaurants around. It’s a great location for our layover in Lisbon.
