The buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The hotel itself was in excellent condition. The room was in near perfect condition. My only criticism was that the rooms were a bit on the small side. Overall, wonderful, and would definitely stay again.

Excellent well placed hotel, metro line very close, easy to navigate the city, staff very helpful, and learnt a lot about local wines from the waiter in the bar. Comfortable and quiet room.we requested a kettle for our early morning tea! Also provided with a shower mat.overall cannot fault this hotel. Local shops and bars within walking distance.

Very nice hotel and great staff. I came here on a solo trip and really enjoyed my stay. Managed to get an upgraded room, which was spacious and very comfortable.

Hotel is about a 45 minute walk from the old town, but also close to several metro stations which are a 5-10 minute walk away.

Would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed in the way this hotel dealt with my reservation. My husband was hospitalized with norovirus so we couldn’t make our reservation. They would not make an exception for a refund. In times of need, customers will always remember when a business exercised sympathy and courtesy. Unfortunately, this hotel showed it does not care for the well-being of its guests. I will advise my friends and family to avoid this place at all costs.

The room was specious, with very comfortable bed, large TV, a Nespresso compatible machine and capsules, good air conditioning, very quiet and secure,. The breakfast was good and many options, very close to the metro to the airport, and the centre.
The only thing tha3can be improved is to have different days different breakfast, like one day scrambled eggs, one day fried, one day mushrooms the next beans.
We stayed 7 days, and having the same breakfast every day, becomes boring.

I stayed at 3 hotels while in Portugal and this was the most expensive of the three and also the one I liked the least. The hotel room was the smallest of the three hotels I stayed at. The air conditioner did did not allow you to set it on a lower more comfortable/cooler setting. On a positive note, the pillows and pillow cases were the best of the three hotels I stayed at.

Comfortable and classic stay in Lisbon

We just stayed one night as our last night in portugal. But it was a very good stay. Super clean and classic hotel, with very nice staff. When we arrived a nice woman on the staff went down to the garage with my husband to see if he would be happy with parking his car in such tight quarters. She was super helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing. We will recommend this hotel.

Wonderful Hotel-Friendly Staff!

Our stay at Hotel Principe Avila was very enjoyable. Although we arrived on the same day as the blackout in Portugal, the staff was very accomodating in every aspect of our stay. The hotel is in a great location, we were able to get around town without any issues. The room was clean and very well decorated. We still talk about the chocolate croissants in the breakfast room. Must try the breakfast!

I highly recommend staying here if you visit Lisbon. You’ll be in a centrally located area, easy to access any sighting adventures you want to go on. Plenty of restaurants, cafés, shopping, all within walking distance. I there is a beautiful park nearby as well as options for fitness and spas.

The hotel itself was super clean. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely check out the lobby bar, a great place to end your day or grab a quick bite to eat. Bartenders were amazing and so friendly.

A huge plus for me was having breakfast every morning, which was included in my package. Breakfast offerings were delicious and varied.

I enjoyed my stay here very much and I would definitely come back!

Trip to Portugal

The Hotel is very convenient located, right next to one of the entrances to Sao Sabastio Metro station which is in the terminal station from the airport. There are also direct buses nearby to go to different attractions, including the National Tile Museum. The staff are friendly and helpful. They offer nice breakfast buffet with fresh bakery and fruit. I will recommend the property and stay there again.

It was amazing. This hotel is the best one we have stayed in for years. The design is modern and cozy. The breakfast is so good we actually look forward to it every morning. The location of the hotel is also perfect. The metro station is right in front of the hotel. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

A new boutique-style hotel situated in a very convenient location - access to many restaurants, cafes and a mega department store within minutes by foot.

A metro entrance to both the red and blue lines are literally across from the hotel which will take you to the heart of Lisbon in 15 mins or the airport in 25 mins.

The spreads at the breakfast buffet were great, and alot of fruits in particular.

The only thing I wished for was a gym onsite; still a 10 in my books.

Great stay at the Principe Avila
Located in fairly quiet neighborhood of Lisbon out of the chos of old town but very accessible via the metro which is only steps away (easy access to airport via red line)
Great breakfast
Friendly and very helpful English speaking staff
Short walk to restaurants and shopping at El Cortez Ingles (upscale urban mall)
If I ever go back to Lisbon, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this property again

Cons: Dirty dishes not cleared away from table fast enough so limited space at breakfast. Had to pay 5 euros for six v small uht milk capsules.

We (two couples) really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Principe Avila, next door to sister hotel Hotel Principe Lisboa. We were welcomed by very friendly reception staff. Reception area was modern and comfortable with a small bar. Rooms were clean with a very modern layout and were serviced daily. Towels replaced if required and bathroom had a hot, powerful shower. Showergel, conditioner and body lotion supplied. The beds were comfortable, one or two English channels on tv. Slidding door for bathroom with large mirror on reverse side. V clever. We requested a kettle which was in our room for check in. Fridge and hairdryer in room. Bottled Drinking water is replenished daily.
There are adequate power points in the room.
Breakfast staff were lovely. Good selection of hot and cold food especially pastries. Pastel de natas every morning 😋. Good selection of tea and coffees.
This hotel is across the road from the Sao Sebastiao stop, Av. Duque exit of the red metro line from the airport. This is the last stop. Exit metro to the left for most convenient exit for hotel. Exiting right off the metro (Av. Antonio Augusto de Aguios) will take you to El Corte Ingles - huge shopping mall with a large selection of designer stores and great selection of eateries. This mall can also be accessed street level, 5 minutes walk from hotel.

The Metro line from the airport ends very near the hotel, which takes much of the hassle out of such transfers.The lifts were always available, the coffee machines produced fine coffee, and the breakfast service was fast and efficient.The bed was most comfortable too. I didn't like the serving of marmalade in triangular chunks-it was far too awkward.Also, there is no way of filling a bathroom basin with water, because the system, as I discovered, means that there is no plug to stop the water running.I have never, in many years of travel seen such a system, which is not much use if you wish to shave or even wash your face.

Hotel fantástico! novíssimo, café da manhã muito bom, do jeito que os brasileiros gostam... pegamos uma suite enorme, super espaçosa, e tudo novinho! Funcionarios super simpaticos, apenas o estacionamento é bem apertado, se estiver com carro grande, pode ser perigoso pois tem 3 níveis para descer fazendo curvas e é bem apertado. A localização é perfeita, da para fazer muitas coisas a pé, ficamos ao lado do el corte ingles. Super recomendo! numa próxima ida à Lisboa, considerarei ficar aqui novamente! obrigada
