My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Evolution Hotel in Lisbon, and I would not recommend it to anyone.To begin with, the bathroom design is poorly executed and borderline unsafe. The shower is cramped, with almost no space to move, and the floor is uneven and excessively slippery, creating a genuine hazard. The wall-mounted holder was broken, causing toiletries to fall repeatedly, which was both frustrating and unacceptable. The glass doors for both the shower and toilet constantly shifted, adding to the discomfort. The entire bathroom layout feels impractical—separating key areas instead of creating a cohesive, functional space. While the “futuristic” design may appeal to some, it is far from comfortable and completely unsuitable for anyone with claustrophobia. Even basic features like adequate knee space in the toilet area were neglected. The elevator system was equally frustrating. The requirement to scan a card is poorly indicated, and the system itself is inefficient and confusing. A simple trip to the lobby turned into a pointless journey across multiple floors. The room door was another issue—it did not close properly without being forced. A hotel room door should function smoothly, not require effort from multiple people to shut. Additionally, the lack of proper sound insulation made it impossible to rest. Noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was constant, making it unsuitable for light sleepers. Basic amenities, Lackin,no ice buckets.

The guest rooms, lounges, and restaurant were spotlessly clean. The staff, both reception and servers, were polite and helpful. While my family's stay in Lisbon was primarily a vacation get-away, my son did need to meet with a business client in one of the open areas on the mezzanine level. It was comfortable (nicely stocked \"bar\" with water, coffee and tea), bright, and private but open and a staff member walked through the area every 15 minutes or so. This was not intrusive, and was, I'm sure, intended to ensure that single business people felt safe.

Room was amazing. Staff were great, very welcoming… especially G. Room service food was delicious and we loved the pool and sauna over-looking our bit of the city. Sound proofing was great. Bed was really big and very comfortable. Really handy to have a fridge in the room and we were close to metro and taxi’s.

Always a great stay, unfortunately something always doesn’t work. This time the room was super hot, 25+, and they couldn’t fix the AC. Parking went up in price compared to precious years. This is my 5th stay at this hotel. Sauna, pool, vibe, live DJ, restaurant are all good things about this hotel.

Great hotel. Perfect for a mix of coworking, spa and leisure.

Next to metro red line so easy to get around Lisbon. Lots of local restaurants and shops to walk to.

Staff were friendly, able to sort out a/c in room, clean and food and drinks were very nice.

Room was a little strange with pods for toilet and shower and a curtain between beds rather than a separate room

I would come back and stay again.

My recent stay at the Evolution Lisboa Hotel in Saldanha was fantastic, blending modern design with exceptional comfort and service. This hotel perfectly captures the energetic, contemporary spirit of Lisbon.

The highlight of the stay was certainly the accommodation. The room was not only very spacious but also felt super cozy, immediately making me feel at home - I stayed in a super cool room on the 7th floor with views of the large square outside. The open plan effect was a brilliant design choice, enhancing the natural light and modern aesthetic. All the essential mod cons were provided, including a Nespresso coffee machine and an incredible rainfall shower—perfect after a long day of standing on your feet at a trade show (I was in the city for Web Summit, a true beast of an event!). I must also call out the great toiletries provided, which added a nice touch of pampering to the experience.

For wellness, the gym on the 9th floor was a great welcome place to burn calories and keep active. The facilities were excellent, and while I did not use the adjacent amenities, the steam room, sauna, and pool looked nice and well-maintained. (My only minor snag here was that the cardio machines were bizarrely not tuned to the TV stations, and the water fountain disappeared midway through my stay, which was inconvenient).

Breakfast was nice, offering a vast range of local foods. I particularly enjoyed the selection.

Save your money and stay at Evolution Valboum Hotel. It’s nicer, more modern and has better quality rooms.

I asked not to be by the elevator, was by the elevator. I had to have a staff member come check the A/C because it was not on high. Was told they only have one fan for the whole building. Asked housekeeping to clean my room, was met with a nasty attitude. Then housekeeping came in my room unannounced while I was sleeping. There is no security latch on the door which is unsafe and the key hole would not stay up.

You would be paying too much to stay here. Save your money and go somewhere else. Not worth it.

The room was comfortable and clean, although was a small amount of mold in the shower so cleanliness could have been better. The pool, sauna and hammam were the best part with an awesome view. The gym was good, and we liked the vibe of the restaurant and bar downstairs.

Very nice ambient, close to metro, found it to be pleasant albeit it was very tight for 2 people space wise, it didn’t offer much privacy when using the toilet/shower
I found some left over toothpaste from the previous occupant/s, throughout my stay, it was never removed from where I found it (in the open shelves) yet it was evidently rubbish.

So its a high tech room. Everything is controlled by a remote or touch. No privacy in terms of an enclosed bathroom behind a door in a separate room. There are literally glass tubes one for shower one for toilet. Mattress needs to be changed it sinks in

We really enjoyed our stay overall.

the hotel was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the air conditioning. Unfortunately, the AC in our first room wasn’t working, and when we were moved to another room, we ran into the same issue. The temperature stayed around 78 degrees, which made it a bit uncomfortable, especially at night.

That said, everything else about the stay was great, and we’d love to come back…hopefully next time with fully working AC!

We had a great stay at Evolution Lisboa Hotel! The location is super convenient—close to public transport and easy to get around the city. The hotel itself is extremely modern, with a sleek design and high-tech features throughout.

The staff were excellent—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We arrived early and requested an early check-in, but unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. Even though they couldn’t accommodate the request, they communicated clearly and did their best to assist us.

The suites we booked were spacious and comfortable. One thing to note: the bathroom setup is very modern and open, which may not be ideal for families with small children due to the lack of privacy. It wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to be aware of.

We really enjoyed the amenities—the pool, sauna, and gym were all well-maintained and a great bonus. A special shoutout to the restaurant staff—they were amazing and made our dining experience even better.

Overall, a stylish and comfortable stay with great service!

The staff was helpful and pleasant for our check-in. The lack of air-conditioning only got our room down to 80°, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. There is no soundproof in this hotel. Sleeping was very difficult because we could hear other people’s conversations in other rooms and hallway. We would never stay here again!

Nice hotel - disappointing service

Overall the hotel is good, however there was a mixup with my laundry which resulted in the hotel staff deciding not to wash my laundry because they didn’t want to charge me! Not sure why they decided it but there was no manager there to talk about it. It was quite awkward as I was on a longer trip and needed to buy new clothes as I had packed lightly. I’ve included a picture of the strange note I received. Overall the hotel was good, but the service was disappointing

I booked this hotel for 3 nights initially for my daughter. And then the power outage occurred and had to book her 2 additional nights. Her stay would have been great but two female employees at the front desk were very rude to her during her stay. She observed that they were not this way with other guests especially with men. I don’t know if it was because our daughter was travelling alone and was 20 years old, but I was really disappointed and mad at how she was treated. She has travelled to ten countries over the last 4 months in Europe and I stayed with her for some of her trips. Their behavior was uncalled for. They would roll her eyes when she walked up to the desk and would answer her with “What?” And “That wasn’t what I asked.” They were lucky I was not there to put them in their place. My daughter couldn’t wait to check out and just head to the airport early. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. They made things worse and stressful for her during the power outage. When she checked in to the hotel for the 4th night the room was not as clean with garbage on the floor when she walked in.

The hotel looked amazing at first but our door didn’t lock on the first night because it was broken, and being 2 females traveling was a bit concerning. Lastly, the soap dispenser was just filled with water and no real soap. Other than that, the sauna was amazing and the working space was great.

Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet. The one thing that I didn’t like is that the AC in the room was so warm, it was showing up as 22 degrees even when I tried adjusting the settings. The staff said this is what all the rooms are like. I couldn’t sleep at all, and the bed was so soft that I got back pains the next day.

Chic spot in central Lisbon

This is a chic, modernist hotel in the midst of the new part of Lisbon's downtown. The location and style make it such that the hotel bar is a popular after work hours joint for locals. The room is what you see in the pictures, I was surprised the gym had the machines it did, the view from the sauna rocks, and I was also surprised to see they honored my Expedia/Hotels Platinum status (normally only VIP properties do that).

The hotel is well located in proximity to the airport, in addition to restaurants and shopping.

The rooms are very well designed with guests' comfort in mind. My room on the 7th floor had an excellent view!

The staff was excellent but the property needs a lot of maintenance. Air conditioning problems in two different rooms, along with minor repair issues of doors that don’t close/fit, loose handles throughout the hotel and broken soap holders, sliding doors that aren’t leveled. Nothing too major but they definitely need to fix these basics if they want to stay highly functional. Pool and Turkish spa was under repair but we were not notified until the moment we checked in. We were given a complimentary breakfast but we chose this hotel in part, because we wanted to enjoy the pool/ spa. Again, hotel staff were great but not the best experience.

Perfect stay. Lovely pool, open 24/7! We didn’t have breakfast included, but I am sure it was nice as well. Quirky rooms, but we like it. 2 Glass tube cabins as a toilet and shower, lamps in a shape of big flowers. Not so far away from main tourist attractions, in a nice area with few fast food joints and restaurants near by. The receptionist, I think his name starts with J and was working late evening when we checked was excellent!

I had a fantastic stay. The rooms were quiet and the location can't be beat. Just steps from the Saldanha metro station and walking distance to numerous excellent restaurants and coffee shops. The staff were attentive and helpful. I look forward to staying here again on my next Lisbon trip!

I was very irate getting to the hotel five hours late with my delayed flight. The overnight manager went over and beyond to accommodate me and to make me feel welcome. They also provided me with essentials that I missed since my luggage was sent all the way back to Miami, although I only stayed there a few hours. It was a very good experience and very staff, friendly and accommodating property. My room was excellent.

Well this isa funny story as Expedia had an issue with our original booking. So this was not our origi al choice.
Roo. Was interesting as there is no wall between the toilet, shower and the rest of the room, so can be a little noisy. We agreed to this hotel but aswe were tired and wanted to rerest before supper. My side of the bed had black hair inside the pillow cae and under thebed sheets. Not fun. Think that should be looked into
The staff was very helpful and if i could rate them, they get a 5. Hope this helps. Last thing please add tissue for the nose.
