Very big spacious rooms, very clean! Front desktop was superb on every shift! If they don’t have a shuttle back to the airport, they will pay for a taxi for you! I would definitely come back to this hotel, especially due to proximity to the airport and how nice the rooms were!

The price was great, and it was close to the metro and the airport. We were able to travel to the city center relatively easily and had a short drive to the airport after we checked out. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Another excellent stay!!

We always use this hotel, not only for its convenience for the airport, ( it is only 5 stops on the meteo from the airport), but because of the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, who simply can't do enough for you.
This time, we also used their long term parking facilities, which were very competitive, compared to the regular off-site airport carparks .

If there are no windows to open, please insert air from outside, you know, like the big ones do. I hope they are not saving from electric bill, not having the air insertion and filtering, I couldn't breath in the room, I couldn't fall asleep, then I felt more tired after \"sleeping\", what is wrong with them, even the bathroom had mold due to stale air

Glad it was just 1 night

The lobby was freezing. There is no hotel bar - you have to go and request drinks from the restaurant. And the bedroom walls were very thin, meaning we could hear conversation and laughter from the neighbouring room. And the free airport transfer is TO the hotel, not to the airport.

We were in room 110 and the room was quite expensive . Outside the room was a large amount of ventilation equipment that was going off and on all night. My wife is a light sleeper and could not sleep. Told staff in morning on checkout and was not to bothered. Really was poor experience and no sleep left is with a very uncomfortable trip home .

Major problem,, but the facilities and dining facilitate excellent, but because of the no sleep and the staff not caring will not be returning

I had a wonderful three day stay at the Hotel Expo, the lady at the front desk did a marvellous job assisting me with anything I asked her to explain and show me. A special employee that should be recognized. Room was always made up and tidied when I returned. Easy to get to from the airport by taxi or Metro

Close to airport, not to comfortable for rest

Staff were friendly, breakfast was great. Unfortunately the windows don't open and they had a central heating temperature set, meaning you can't adjust your rooms temperature. It was really hot, stuffy, and difficult to sleep without clean air.

The reception staff on check in was top lady. Very professional, friendly and helpful. The room was designed nicely, however, the walls are so thin that I could hear my neighbours as if we were sharing a room. When you book a 4 star hotel you do not expect to find yourself in a dormitory.

The hotel is good , nice and clean . Only 2 things make me upset : first they have 1 musical and 2 news chanels ... TV is very important I don't understand why they have just a few programs . : Second I don't know did they accept pets but next to my room was a dog , barking all night , so I can't sleep .
Just fix the TV programs and don't let pets and the hotel WILL be Exellent ! Kind regards!

The rooms are outdated and noisy. We could hear guests in adjacent rooms walking in and out all night long. There is no climate control in the room ( either was not working or was disconnected) thus the room was quite cold. The bathroom was also outdated and somewhat dirty- there was hair on the floor and the sink. The service at the restaurant on site was good however the food was mediocre. The property is advertising free parking but it is very difficult , if at all , to find a parking spot since the parking is super small and not for hotel guests only.

The hotel was nice. The regular breakfast starting at 7 am is amazing.The early breakfast is very limited. The hotel advertised free airport shuttle, but in reality they offer a shuttle/taxi from the airport only. If you are leaving and need to go from the hotel to the airport they don't offer transportation. The free airport shuttle is offered in one direction only. Overall a good experience.

Good Hotel, but Airport Transfer not so good

I stayed here on business for 3 nights, on arrival an Airport Shuttle had been organised for me, but it took me to a sister hotel where a free taxi was then ordered. The next day and subsequent days, I was working out of the airport and found that the only way to get to and from was to book a taxi each time, with a total cost of 63.12 Lev ( €32.43), while this is not a massive amount, I do feel rather disappointed that I had to pay every time, including the day of my check out to get to the airport when a Free Shuttle is advertised. I did ask reception about this on every occasion, but they were reluctant to help. The hotel and room were very nice, the breakfast was also good, it is a shame that the Free Airport Shuttle was not free or did not exist. Sadly the next time will be staying in Sofia for work in the coming months, I will have to find a different hotel.

Air conditioning was working only in heating mode. We were not warned about this during check in. There is no window to get freah air in the room and because was pretty warm we turn the airconditioning in cooling mode setting the thermostat to 20 degC before going to bed. We woke up at midnight sweating - thermostat was showing 27 degC. Turned off the airconditioning and temperature in rhe room dropped to 24 degC at 4:00 a mm I will not recommend using this hotel unless he feels comfortable at 24 degC with no fresh air in the room.

The hotel itself is okay. However, there is nothing to eat around the area at 7pm on a Saturday night. The hotel's restaurant was closed, because they had 2 weddings that evening. Never mind that there were other guests in the hotel who were left with nothing to eat for dinner, since the closest restaurant was a 15min walk down the highway. In addition, they placed us on a floor with some of the wedding party. We didn't sleep all night! We had a whole day of flights ahead of us and wanted to stay at a hotel to get a good night's rest. Instead, we slept about 3 hours, constantly being woken up by the noise in the hallway. We understand that people will be noisy during a wedding, but perhaps don't place other guests on the same floor! The person at the front desk was nice and friendly, but he himself was surprised that there was no restaurant available for us. Overall, one of the worst experiences at a hotel I've had. Will not return and will make sure I warn everyone I know.

Rooms are good and not noisy, bathroom need improvement (door can not close without the locker, mold on bath tub, maybe shower curtains is better) , very good breakfast. 2 small elevators, max 2 persons and a bag in each!. No complimentary bottle of water or sleepers, but luckily you can drink tap water in Sofia.

Below average, not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Gym is neglected and only half-functional. Water fountain bottle is not refilled, no towells, no cleaning in toilets and no toilet paper. Breakfast was a la carte instead of buffet becsuse guest occupancy was low for a buffet. Problem is there's no menu and staff don't speak english. How to order from a menu when there's no menu? Appreciate that occupancy was low but if the hotel will no maintain a certain service level then it should stay closed during the holiday season.

Room was good. Arrived late at the hotel but staff was polite. We have a lovely Alexa in our room which I really enjoyed. The only thing that I didn't like about my stay was the breakfast. We went down at 09:20 and the food was cold and the variety from my last stay was missing. I politely advise you that this should be reviewed and improved in the future.

We'll Be Back!

Once a month, we must travel to Sofia. This time, we had an appointment with the nearby Toyota Dealership and decided to stay in a new location. This hotel was outstanding! The room was very comfortable--and the bed the best we've had since moving to Bulgaria! Breakfast was pretty typical, but satisfying. The outdoor courtyard was a lovely place to enjoy, too. Although we couldn't take the time for any sightseeing, we saw that the hotel is conveniently located by the Metro to get to city center.

Hotel was nice, but one negative was only two small, slow, elevators which hold 2 people with luggage or 4 people without. Terrible when a bus checks in! Breakfast was good and dinner at hotel was very good. It is close to airport but not close to city center or old town. There is a metra station nearby. Wifi connections so-so.

We had lunch and the hotel was busy with a conference, there were 2 waiters in the restaurant and we were told that due to conference had to go outside. This was fine with us however the service was very poor , waiter was stressed and very surly. Good was COLD...… could not complain as we could not find anyone!!!

Good Choice Not Far from Airport

Spacious, comfortable room, good beds, well-appointed bathroom, plenty of storage space. Fast check-in and check-out. Nice restaurant on the premises. Very good breakfast included with room price. The hotel is on a busy road with car dealerships, office buildings, but we didn´t see any restaurants or shopping within walking distance, so you´d definitely need a car. A short distance from the airport, which was our main priority. Price seemed rather high for very inexpensive Sofia.

Bedrooms are to hot as ac doesn’t work

The room air conditioning does NOT work. No matter how low you put it you will cook in the room. When we checked in we heard a woman complaining and I did so as I was checking out. You can’t open windows in room so the sleep was uncomfortable.
I explained this to the employee as I checked out and he didn’t offer anything he just said “yes the ac is working too hard”. I never write reviews but felt it’s important as they need to do something. I also spoke to another guest in the hotel and he said it was unbearable.
Other than that a good hotel. Shame they won’t try to assist when you complain.

One of the my terrible hotel experiences ever

They gave a executive room and it was not nice.
The main bedroom has no enough lights....
It was the same floor with the air condition system of the hotel ( Floor 1 ) Even we have asked a quiet room because we came from Thessaloniki by car and we only wanted to stay a night and next morning continue to drive. They said '' Ok the room is opposite side of the highway '' , but the same side with full airconditions equipments and the same floor.
The breakfast was is terrible.
Coffee machine was not working.
Then I tried the juice and got a glass of orange juice , they probably used 1 liter water for one drop of orange.
I will never stay that hotel anymore.

Overnight for airport travel

We booked this hotel because it advertised shuttle service to the airport. We discovered however, that the shuttle service is an extra charge. We did enjoy our view from the 9th floor of the unique architecture of the large buildings next door.

Convenient to arrive at the hotel by metro from the airport only 1 lev.
Room comfortable and spacious, bathroom with bath.
Breakfast was good choice. 6th floor room had good view.
Not much around the hotel in terms of restaurants or interesting sights but downtown is within reach again by metro. Across the street there is a big hypermarket.

This hotel is the only one you really want to stay at when you're going for a conference at the Expo Center in Sofia. The hotel itself offers a near perfect service, the expo center is litterally 2 minutes walk away, and if you want to go in town, a further 2 min walk will take you to the metro station. Execpt that, don't count on any other interesting surroundings.

The location next to the Inter Expo is good, but that's about it. The hotel itself is fine, but when we were there the AC was completely not functioning for the whole hotel. It was muggy because of the rain and so the stay was brutal. For the money, get a hotel in downtown Sofia (near Vitosho Blvd) and just take the Metro if you need to get to the Inter Expo.

Helpful staff, clean rooms.

I asked the doorman to call a taxi to the airport. When I got there, I realised that I had forgotten my laptop on the back seat of the taxi. I called the hotel and they managed to find and send the taxi back to the airport to bring me my back laptop.

The room was pretty clean. Nothing exceptional, but nice.

Not a 4 star hotel

I stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights in January for a business trip. In short, the staff are (mostly) friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable but it's lacking the 4 star comforts I would expect. The phone in the room I was allocated had a phone line that wasn't working properly so when I reported the problem I was told \"There is nothing we can do\". Not the right service level. However I was given a new room on request. The air conditioning in that room was broken so when I put it on cold it started heating up the room instead. After I spent a night in 27 degrees I asked the receptionist to send someone to fix it. However, when I returned it was still broken and my room was now at 29 degrees. The gym is a joke; every step on the cross trainer had me worried I may fall over with it. Breakfast is okay but not exactly plentiful. The rooms and the hotel itself are clean but the floor in the reception area is damaged which shows a certain level of neglect. All in all it's not a bad hotel but it's certainly not at the 4 star level.

the best hotel of our trip

Although it was a little out of the way, and didn't have any stores or restaurants close by, it was close to the metro subway. The breakfast was fabulous every morning and the hotel staff went above and beyond with their service and friendliness. They were extremely helpful, the hotel was quiet and clean, the a/c was cold and the rooms were lovely. We had a fabulous time in this hotel and would recommend it above any of the hotels we stayed in while we were in Bulgaria.

Very clean and staff very friendly and accommodating, It was observed that i dropped my napkin when i stood up to get breakfast, only to be found a new folded one in its place upon my return.the staff are well trained, they could not do enough for you. I missed the individual complimentary hand cream etc although some body was provided. . The food was great but we did not have an evening meal there as a little over priced for us. i would stay again and i would recommend this hotel.

Great staff, great service, great food

Staff are fantastic! Stayed there several days when we were in process of adopting our son. Staff was very engaged with our son (Bojidar) and provided outstanding service. Stayed 2 other times at the hotel prior to the adoption trip and loved it as well.
