the room was large and nicely furnished. HOWEVER, it was very warm because the property had already turned off the air conditioning & turned on the heat. Normally we would just open a window & problem solved but at this hotel the windows don't open!
We left very early in the morning & didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on the quality. But they did have coffee and some fruit put out for those with early departures, which was nice.

Welcoming staff, nice breakfast with savory and sweet offerings. Only 1 coffee machine available all 3 mornings so long line was over 5 minutes as it is a busy tour pickup/drop off hotel. Large mall next door for any needs. Hotel is off the main highway into city center - 15 minutes no traffic, ~45 with traffic. The rooms facing the road provide a nice view of the mountains.

Great hotel, but a bit of a turn off when you show up 10 min before the end of breakfast and you are met with “you have 5 min to eat” from the not so happy to see you waitress. Shame that he service is such, as the hotel offers great convenient location for folks traveling in and out of Sofia internationally (airport is only 6 min by car).

Nice hotel but it is far from the central. Front desk was nice and friendly, not everyone. They upgraded our room with a fridge which stock up every day free of charge. .Linens we smelled like sweat so the room also had that smell. There is mall next to the hotel so eating is not a problem

Close and convenient to airport when you have an early flight. Also it is next to the mall and close to places to eat. Front desk was helpful with covid test info.
Did not like the breakfast set up - saw people dropping the serving utensils and placed them back on the counter. There were gloves available but nobody inforcing the use of gloves. We were just a couple of minutes early for breakfast and staff was not happy.

excellent hotel! very clean, quiet, unassuming. When they say , there's a real big mountain you can see, on the horizon, right outside the city, I was very pleased with this view, very relaxing. Nice breakfast, lots of things to choose from. Definitely better than older hotels in some places outside of Sofia, that are highly rated yet are simply old and feel dirty. But I digress: the Novotel is amazing! clean and nice. Good wifi.

Another 2 Nights at Novotel Sofia

The Novotel Sofia is a very convenient hotel, especially for the airport and its environs; it is also an easy trip into the Centre. The hotel itself was up to its usual standard that I have experienced during many stays; my only downside this time was that I had a non-mountain view room, from which the view was less than inspiring. From previous experience I can recommend the Executive Rooms as they are somewhat better equipped.
Food in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was good; however, on this particular stay the hotel was very busy and the staff seemed to be struggling to keep up during the breakfast period with items running out quickly and being replenished slowly.
Overall though, another pleasurable stay in the hotel, albeit very short on this occasion.

Exceptional hotel!!!

We checked in and were identified to be guests of the day! We got upgraded to an executive room and all drinks in the mini bar were complimentary. The personal note written and signed by the hotel staff definitely made us feel like VIPs. My son loved the balloons, towel animal, and candies. Very friendly staff and the room was nice and clean. Thank you Novotel team for making our stay a pleasant and memorable one. We will definitely recommend your hotel to family and friends.

Nice Hotel located right next door to the Mall, about 15 min cab ride to City Center and 10 min to airport. Nice buffet breakfast. Not sure I like the room setup as you were not able to separate the beds into twins but they were comfortable. Hate the idea of the European tubs with the half glass as you tend to get water all over the place. Overall nice hotel, pleasant staff, would definitely stay again.

Decent breakfast, nothing special. Staff in the restaurant was extremely helpful. Coffee was much better than the average hotel coffee. The only qualm - my bed squeaked a bit.

Outstanding Value for Money!

This is a fantastic business hotel, but you can be sure that i will use this hotel any time i am in Sofia. The staff are extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The environment is comfortable, and to be honest, i preferred eating lunch and dinner in the hotel, the food is outstanding (and I am a very picky foodie). The breakfast service needs help, it good, but not nearly the quality of the lunch and dinner.

Great, modern hotel

This is one of the best hotels in Sofia! The free parking (underground, secured) is great and the hotel is right next to one of the best malls. The breakfast is great, definitely worth getting. My room was clean and comfortable. The climate system worked perfectly. The mini-fridge is great because it's not full of mini-bar stuff (which you can order if you'd like) so you can keep your own stuff in there. Wifi was great and fast. Only negative about the hotel was that the housekeeping staff were not consistent in replenishing used items each day (sometimes no extra toilet paper, no more coffee cups, no more sugar/tea, etc.). But not a big deal overall. Each staff I met was helpful, spoke English well, and was friendly. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. Two of them were interesting - contour on one end and normal on another, but it worked for me!

Close to airport, couldn't be better

Stayed one night because of early morning flight to US. Beautiful updated room, excellent service at bar and restaurant. Staff was exceptional. Only minor inconvenience was the free shuttle to airport did not run in early am. Staff called taxi, short, inexpensive ride.
