The lobby is gorgeous. When I got to my room, the carpet was threadbare and was already loose and coming up. It was clean, but I was shocked by the carpet and overall look of the room. The employees were friendly and very helpful.

The location is great, the staff was nice enough. A big problem was the bedsheets would continue to slide revealing a rather horrific mattress. The air con really didn't keep the room warm considering the windows have 0 insulation. However we were given an electric heater which helped loads.

There is an improvement from our previous stay. The room is clean but the bathroom area is too small, very difficult to bend and scrub your leg without your head hitting the wall and your back pulling up the shower curtain. They responsed quick to needs. I will rate them 4/5

Wasn’t everything the way I expected
Breakfast poor, waitresses unfriendly, receptionists helpful. Noisy corridors, you could hear a normal conversation in the adjacent room. Location was great!

The receptionist on the day of arrival was very rude and it didn't get any better!!! The room stunk, the water leaked from the bathroom sink to the floor and there was a major pluming problem, in that they moved us to another room, it smelled a bit better, but eventually we started having the same problem with the stench coming from the vent in the bathroom floor! Hot water was also a problem, as we had to shower with cold water a few times! This is not a hotel I would go back to, even for one night!!! They have no sense of customer service as we tried to ask them for help on a day trip from Sofia, and they were not any help at all!!!!

I stayed at Hemus hotel twice for the nights only. The hotel is in a good location with wonderful views to downtown Sofia from the one side and to the Vitosha mountain to the other side. The quality is adequate for the price.

If you are looking for post communism experience, you have found it! The hotel has not been updated since the 90ies and probably it won't be soon! Initially we were in a double room (don't expect queen or king size beds at all). The room was so tiny, there was hardly any space for our luggages. Basic stuff like hairdryer was nowhere to be found and given to me only after asking the receptionist.
After one very disappointing and claustrophobic night, we moved into an apartment which was way better and the price offered as a foreigner was one and then lowered when they found out we were originally from the country.
Do not expect anything fancy! The TV was an old tube TV that thankfully was working. But come on! This is the center of the capital of Bulgaria and you have waivy floors from who knows what and TV from the 80ies? Simply horrible!
Therefore I would not recommend this hotel to anybody including my enemy!
The management needs to do a lot of work to bring this hotel to the expected standards and the 3 star they supposed to offer.
Better spend your money somewhere else!

Overall satisfied. a decent location within walking distance to the pedestrian walk in Sofia. the room was comfortable but very basic. the breakfast was good but an attempt to look ritzier by putting individual meals under glass rather than allowing guests to choose what they want.The restaurant closes at 3PM so I did not get to check that out. the bath is a small (approx 1X1 meter) enclosed with a shower curtain that does not contain the water well so, be careful of wet floors.

Kleine badkamer met losse wastafel, losse deurklink en als je douched is werkelijk alles nat! Het ruikt ook zeer muf in de badkamer. We hebben zelf maar schoongemaakt aangezien er in de gang zelfs iets zeer goors op de spiegel zat!
De lamp ging kapot in de badkamer en die moesten we zelf vervangen aangezien er op dat moment (18.30) geen monteur aanwezig was. We konden van kamer wisselen hiervoor, maar zie je jezelf al gaan met al je spullen voor een lampje?
Op het beddengoed zitten de nodige brandgaten van sigaretten.
Houd ook de minibar (koelkast) in de gaten, want die was bij ons leeg bij aankomst, maar bij de uit check werd er in eerste instantie gezegd dat deze gevuld was.
Het ontbijt is zeer eentonig en er is alleen een snee witbrood voor de broodrooster. Geen ander brood! Zelfs jam zoals aardbeiensmaak is niet aanwezig!
Dit was de 3e keer nu, maar het lijkt alleen maar slechter te worden nu vergelijken met de vorige keer! Gelukkig is mijn partner Bulgaars en dankzij de taal redden we ons aardig.

Le personnel est sympa malgré quelques difficultés pour comprendre et se faire comprendre. Si vous parlez anglais c'est très bien. L'établissement est vieux mais quand même quotidiennement entretenu. Plusieurs choix de petits déjeuner. La seule chose qui m'a vraiment déplu c'est le manque d'eau chaude. Sur deux week-ends je n'avais pas d'eau chaude entre le dimanche matin et le lundi matin. Hors mis ça et l'état ancien de l'établissement j'ai plutôt passé un bon séjour. Cependant les personnes qui préfèrent les établissements plus modernes peuvent s'abstenir pour cet endroit.

地下鉄の出入り口のすぐ前で、それはよかった。車で行ったので、大きなホテルで幹線道路に面していて、わかりやすかったのがよかった。シャワーが最悪だ。シャワーの床のバットは 70cmX70cm で、ビニールカーテンが2面だが、カーテンがバットの縁より 10cm 程高い長さまでしかないので、カーテンを伝った水はバットの外に大量に流れていき、トイレも水浸しになった。しかも、バットの排水が詰まり気味で、あふれそうになった。なぜ、こんな状況のシャワー設備を平気で客に提供できるのだろうか、本当に腹立たしい。支配人などは、一度このシャワーを使ってみるがいい。冷蔵庫があったが、全く冷えなかった。故障である。これも、なぜ放っておくのだろうか、理解できない。客商売でないみたいだ。

hotel correct dans son ensemble. Si vous êtes sensibles au bruit, veillez à ne pas prendre de chambre dans les derniers étages car il y a un restaurant au dernier étage et le bruit résonne plusieurs étages en dessous. Sinon l'hotel est assez proche du centre ville, accessible à pieds pour ceux qui aiment marcher (environ 45 minutes) ou à bus ou métro avec des stations de bus et de métro à proximité immédiate. Pour ceux que ça intéresse, le musée de l'homme, le musée de la culture et un petit centre commercial étaient à proximité.
