The location was great and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms are small, but adequate. Staff is there between about 10 and 7 so if you’re out early for the day, there is no one there to answer any questions or help out. When the staff are there they were very helpful. Really my only complaint is that the description says that there is “self-serve laundry” on site. In fact, the laundry must be done by a staff member (so can only be started when they arrive, and must be completed by 7) and is quite expensive at 10€ per load. We had booked this spot at the very middle of our trip because we expected to be able to do our laundry efficiently and cheaply. The description of the services available should be updated to reflect the reality so expectations are managed.

Beautiful little cozy flat, with all you need for a short stay, having coffee and tea available is a delight when traveling solo. Only thing missing is a real person form the place welcoming you and ensure you don’t need anything.

We enjoyed our stay at 5 Vintage and would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Sofia. The staff were incredibly welcoming and lovely, and the room was clean and comfortable with some nice touches in the shared kitchen. We were right in the center of town which made getting around really easy. Great place to stay if you want to explore Sofia.

What an absolute pleasure it was to stay at 5 Vintage Guest House. From the warm reception and orientation tour to the charming decor. This place makes you feel at home. The helpfulness of each and every staff member I encountered was outstanding. The quaint atmosphere, especially the shared communal kitchen with complimentary snacks and coffee and tea makes you feel like your coming home to grandmas house. I can’t praise the cleanliness of the entire establishment especially the rooms enough. The location is absolutely perfect within walking distance of stores, restaurants and the Christmas market. The main walking boulevard is one minute away yet the guest house is on a quiet side street. Thank you to all staff for an absolutely amazing stay. Other establishments should learn from you!

The reservation desk was very prompt with all their communication and arranged self check in. The property is very well maintained with a lot of free high quality snacks for guests. And to top it all the place is less than five minutes walk to the Vitosha Boulevard pedestrian street and most other Sofia attractions.

I couldn't figure out if this was a 'hostel' or a 'hotel' when booking, but it is more of a hostel type place in that there are common areas. I had a single room (looked just like the one picture with the black bathroom with license plates). Everything appeared to be clean and in good condition. Both the mattress and the pillow could use an upgrade, in that neither one was very firm/fluffy. They were okay, but more on the 'hostel' side than a 'hotel' type.
As someone else mentioned, the kitchen is very narrow so if more than one (maybe two) people are in there at once it would be cramped. No one was ever in there at the same time as me so it was fine. Plenty of kitchen things to cook and eat on site.

They lost a star due to the laundry being down. It was something I was needing and relying on and it wasn't available. Staff did their best to help but there just weren't other options around that would assist.

For me, the location was perfect in a super central area in a neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, cafés and independent shops. A main high street for chain stores and restaurants was just a couple minutes walk away too.

For me, the location was perfect in a super central area in a neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, cafés and independent shops. A main high street for chain stores and restaurants was just a couple minutes walk away too.

My stay here was very pleasant even though I was only there 1 night. The only issue I had was when I first arrived nobody was there even though they were supposed to be open at 10am. I had to waited and was greeted as if I was disturbing her. However I was able to leave my bags and walk around. The room was very comfortable and nice, the Aesthetics was very pleasing.
Also I left my AirPods there and reached out to them and they have been very helpful to assist me with getting them back. I would definitely stay here again.

A clean, cozy, and comfortable setting in a renovated house in the heart of Sofia. Close to so many points of interest in the city, and near a metro station if you need to get to the outskirts of the city. The staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the price is right. I will stay here again next time I am visiting Sofia.

I'm coming through Sofia again soon and I'll definitely rebook my stay here - the location was perfect. within a few blocks is the main pedestrian throughway of the city, some outdoor cafes and bookstores, parks, shopping, dining (modern and traditional). It was so quiet and peaceful. It was so clean that I actually felt like I smelled *better* when I left. And outside the hostel is a cute little courtyard with various little cute kitties. It's everything I could have hoped for and I highly recommend it.

This is a fairly old town house converted to a guest house. The building is pleasnt with a nice courtyard. The street is quiet but within easy walking distance of the centre of town. The bathroom was very good and the room itself attractive, but the bed needed a better matress

Oh my God...where shall I begin. Such a beautiful, cosy, artistic, vintage, guest house with an excellent test. I wish I could be there just to look and enjoy the guest house!!! This is a comfortable quiet guesthouse with shared kitchen and dining area (you can do some simple cooking/heating/coffee and get snacks in the common area). It's only a street away from the main pedestrian street, very convenient. The office hours of the guesthouse are listed as 9am to 7pm but I don't believe they actually follow those hours. They end earlier on the weekends and even on the day I was supposed to depart they originally told me I could only leave my luggage till 430pm (they extended when I came back at 430pm to retrieve it). Choose this place if you don't intend to arrive or depart out of hours such as 10am to 5pm...

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from Vitosha boulevard and a nicely decorated apartment with a shared kitchen, however we had to call the receptionist at check in/check out as the reception was locked. Both my husband and I were bitten multiple times throughout the night by mosquitoes that had got into the room however this isn't really down to the hotel.
Overall we had a good stay and the apartment was convenient for our needs.

We had a wonderful 24 hours in Sofia! 5 Vintage is in an excellent location, just around the corner from a lot of restaurants, shops, and the main strip. 5 Vintage was really cute and the owner is very sweet and helpful. There is free coffee and tea in the kitchen as well as a few snacks, we really felt at home during our time there. Highly recommend it to any traveler!
