This was our first time in Sofia - the Best Western Plus was in a perfect location for the metro station (European Union Metro) which is two stops from the city centre. It was a short and easy drive from the airport and great for parking too (€10 per night). I emailed in advance of our stay to book a parking space as the underground garage isn’t that big.

A small breakfast buffet was included, the hotel itself was new and modern, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The only thing we felt let it down slightly was how thin the walls and floors are - we could hear people in the corridor and in the rooms next door as well as above us which wasn’t ideal when people came in late at night. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, definitely bring earplugs!

My favorite place to stay in Sofia: reasonable rates, close to subway and a few minutes to the downtown. Facilities and rooms are not new and would require remodelling. Bedding definitely require immediate replacement: fitted sheets must be used instead of old fashion regular sheets.

2nd time in Sofia with my wife 2nd time in BW Lozenets..
The first time 2019 (pre Covid) was great which is why we came this time.
Unlike the first time, room wasn’t clean.
On the 2nd day when asking why the cleaning lady didn’t make our bed, changed towels and brought toilet paper, we were told that it’s being done every 2 days (why wasn’t I told this when making the reservation?!) and if we want them to change towels we need to ask in the morning to do so.
In the 4 nights we’ve stayed there, not once we’ve had a cleaning lady and each night we’ve asked for towels and toilet paper though each morning we’ve asked them to clean the room.
Only at night when we’ve return from the center we went to the reception and waited for them to get us towels and toilet paper.
I don’t see myself as spoiled but this is too much. I payed +/- $250 to get service which I haven’t got and this is basic request.
I won’t return here because having fresh towels and toilet paper is a necessary thing to have and I don’t need to go to reception and ask on a daily basis to have it.
End of story, NOT RECOMMENDED!

I arrived in the middle of the night as my flight was delayed. Instead of the man at reception being empathetic or at least welcoming, he was very stern and insisted on me checking out exactly on time in the morning.
Hotel is on the older side but I don't mind.

Room was clean and with enough space for 2 people. The necessary basics were all provided - towels, soap, kettle, etc. Breakfast was decent. Overall would recommend if you look for a place to sleep.

Not up to Best Western standards

Here's a list of what I didn't like: 3 of the 4 lights did not work in the room. The staff needed 24 hours to find bulbs. One light stopped working again the following day. One towel had a huge hole in the middle plus some stains. I stayed 3 nights, with room service only once. Even then, my bed was not made. The shower tube was falling apart and the shower wall was leaking, resulting on water running everywhere in the bathroom.

Best Western? More like Worst Western...

The place is beaten down bad. The room we were in (sold as apartment :) was in very poor state of maintenance. Wall paper peeling or completely ripped, power sockets not working, carpet not clean, shower with missing and moldy grouting, curtains in disrepair and wrong size for the windows etc. etc. Windows were of poor quality- you could hear the traffic from the (busy) street outside day and night.
Staff were all friendly, but they lack customer service skills and definitely lack efficiency. Shortly after we checked in, I asked for two extra pillow cases (there were two spare pillows and duvet literally thrown in the closet) and mentioned that the remote is missing from the room. We came back almost 8hrs later and there was still no remote in the room and no pillow cases either. Asked for iron- was told all irons are given and i should check in the morning if i want one. HKP would take over the entire (already narrow) corridor with bags of dirty laundry and carts.
I haven't stayed in such a poorly run Best Western ever.
We chose the place due to it's proximity to a place i needed to go for a meeting- next time we'll stay near the airport where there are better hotels.

We stayed in the \"deluxe\" room which was really sweet. The room was round, and very big with a seperate seating area and a huge bathroom. This was at the top of the hotel and was reached via a small spiral staircase - so probably not the best if you have mobility issues (or lots of baggage)

Bed was comfy. Shower was not the hottest but adequate.

The girl on reception was very nice and helpful, with excellent english.

Breakfast was good, but unfortuately the restaurant was shut for dinner on the evening we arrived (even though the description boasts a restaurant) I can't comment on any other ameneties as we couldn't find them!

Hotel is within walking distance of main shopping/eating areas so plenty of restaurants in vicinity.

Not very happy at having to pay 10 Euro to park the car over-night (especially as this is neither my currency nor Bulgarian currency) we parking in the underground car park but were told we would have to pay the same to park on the pavement outside the hotel.

Stayed 4 weeks , bedding changed once and towels 4 times. Room was never cleaned including bathroom. To in room did not work as cables were broken, ended up fixing it myself .Was stuck in lift for an hour and then it was out of service for a week. Complained at the end and was told that the room was cleaned regular etc, ad in future they hope I find another hotel to my standards. In other words don’t come back !

The hotel is in a nice location, near the underground. The room was facing away from the street and it was very quiet. Staff were friendly.
The house keeping was haphazard, the bed was made twice during our 12 days stay. However fresh towels were provided almost every day. The bathroom fixtures were poorly made and some of them broken.

Shabby and dirty! In a still COvid pandemic you would think they will clean the glasses in the room, but no! The glasses were still dirty from the previous guests! I do not recommend as it is too dirty overall! Sheets and towels are clean, but that is it! Cheep, true, but at least they could cleaned the glasses!!!!

Excellent location, friendly staff. It's clean. Delicious breakfast. Easy access to public transportation and Sofia Center. The only minor problem was bad wifi in my room so I had to take my laptop to the lobby and work there. It was fixed a few days later. Recommendation - I would like to see the staff smiling more often. Overall I am glad I booked a room there.

I have never thought that it's possible that 2 of 3 bookings on the hotel within two weeks cab have overbooking problem. It seems that this hotel sells rooms without limiting the amount of sales. So this time when I came to the hotel and when a receptionist said that it is overbooked, i have already known what to do. The replacement hotel has worse location, did but include breakfast and it has a problem with balcony door, which was impossible to close properly.

Hotel was overbooked and the receptionist ask me to use another hotel from their chain. It was quite late and i didn't want to arguing, so i agreed to this proposition. But the substitution hotel was much worse. The location is quite far from city center. Breakfast is not included (but it was included in the original booking). The room has a lot of problems

The Location and pictures of the property look great but property is poorly maintained. There are issues with the AC and the hotel staff is overwhelmed and not friendly. When approached with questions the staff acted out, became rude and was poorly informed with absolutely no desire to assist. Overall, I would not recommend this facility.

Recommendable hotel !!

The room is clean and big (our room is a 3-person room), the WiFi is fast. The staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is near by the metro station (few minutes walk) and there’s a big shopping mall nearby. The only one thing that I can complain is the breakfast, there’s not much choice in breakfast. But, overall, the hotel is recommendable !!

Wonderful modern hotel with a very nice restaurant

We have stayed at the hotel one night before an early flight next morning.

The hotel is conveniently located - both close to the city center and only a 15 minutes drive from the airport.

The two-room suite we've stayed in was spacious and tastefully decorated, the staff was very helpful and the dinner we had at the hotel's restaurant was delicious.

Whilst the location was convenient for the purpose of my trip, the hotel was fairly average in all areas. It badly needs some tlc, e.g. remove stains from carpets in rooms. Wi-Fi provision also needs to be improved as the connection often dropped out.

Good Points: Good choice of English speaking television channels, comfy bed, clean room hot shower, excellent WiFi, free tea/coffee.
Bad points: Air con was very weak and noisy and hidden behind curtain, lots of noise from road, shower cubicle broken (had to wangle the door closed) carpets a little tired, staff didn't speak very good English, kettle was broken - tho they did replace it when asked. Worst thing was on leaving the hotel i was told i could have a late check out, subject to a charge - fair enough but then, they changed their mind and said they had a \"group booking\" so i had to be out with just a 30 minute notice - not a happy bunny !

Convenient Location and Great Hospitality

The hotel is in a very good neighborhood of Sofia. It is relatively close to the center which is about 15-20 minutes by Taxi, and a mall which is within a 5-10 minute walk. The staff were very nice and hospitable. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The decor of the rooms could use a little bit more of a modern touch, especially the closets. I completely overlooked the fact that they don't have safe boxes in the room, only at the front desk. I never felt that any of the staff were \"sketchy\", on the contrary, they were all very nice people. However, I travel for business internationally many times throughout the year and I'd like to say that the option of a security box in the room just makes me feel more secured with my personal belongings.

One negative experience I had with my room was that the A/C didn't work, when I tried to put the A/C on, for some reason the heater would turn on. The room would get ridiculously hot during the day time which affected me when I came back from work. The good thing is that it was during fall in which I opened the windows the room would cool down quickly, it's why I didn't even bother to complain to the hotel staff since it was a quick solution for me. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, I slept very good at this place.

I would recommend this place for the price, location, hospitality, and tasty breakfast.

I recommend this hotel for people who like eating. Big buffet for the breakfast and the restaurant part is really good...(definitely worth eating at the hotel instead of going out). I was not expected so much. Also the wifi is perfect each floor has his own network. The staff is cool. It´s close to the center (20 minutes by walk) also near a big shop center and the subway. I will go again.

Great lil Hotel for the price.

I enjoyed my stay at the lozenetz Hotel. The hotel is neat and clean and, while the rooms are basic, they are clean and comfortable. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. the morning b reakfast is simple but good and they keep the coffee hot and strong. I especially enjoyed the outside seating area for the morning coffee. The site gives you a smoking preference but all the rooms are non-smoking. if you are a smoker you can request a balcony room where you are allowed to smoke on the balcony.

Hotel staff could be a bit nicer, and the check-in process was arduous and time-consuming. The hotel was basic but the corner room was fantastic and spacious. My family's rooms, however, were close to the road and suffered from the noise. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. The hotel is a good 15 minutes walk, at least, to the center of Sofia, but it isn't an unpleasant walk. I definitely recommend this for the price.

Very easy to get to from the airport using public transport. One bus to the centre - 84, and then get on the metro line, for not a lot of pennies either.
Hotel has a simple selection for breakfast but was easily good enough for the wife and I. I have to say that if you wish the hot food to be hot you need to go to breakfast when it starts, otherwise the eggs/sausages/bacon does not stay hot.
Room was a good size and as it was at the back of the hotel it was away from the main road, meaning it was quiet. The bathroom was clean and the shower was a good temperature and pressure. The only minus for me was the bed was a little hard, but that is subjective.
Already recommended this hotel to my family.

We have arrived to the hotel, took a look at the room we were given and after that had to move to another hotel. Bathroom condition was awful, overall hotel cleanliness is terrible. Furniture is old, bed linen is dirty and grey. I will never return to this hotel

We spent two nights in this hotel and we were impressed by the location. The breakfast corner was neat and the selection of the food was very nice. Minor things for the hotel to pay attention are: the doors are still using normal keys to manually lock and unlock - I personal prefer the card locks, the elevator is pretty small too the extent that two people with three or four luggage pieces will find it very uncomfortable in it. Also since it was snowing, the front door area was very slippery ( the rug provided was too small). Apart from these minor issues, the room was superb and the receptionists and other employers were very friendly and helpful. Kind like makes you come back again.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Struttura nuova e sempre profumata, personale gentile e disponibile, camere nuove in stile moderno e sempre pulite. Il bagno piccolo ma efficiente e molto carino. La colazione unica pecca con poca scelta di cibo e bassa qualità. Per il resto lo consiglio vivamente!
