This is probably the best hotel in the town, great staff, a beautiful room, well designed to Western standards and a great view of the lake from the third floor. A glass wall in the bathroom afforded a view of the lake from the shower. They also provided us with an oxygen tank to the room for 180 bob which was great.
What I didn't like was the shower over bath. The shower head was too close to the wall so I found myself with one leg up on the bath rim to try to get my body under the shower properly. The water was often not hot in the morning.
It was explained to me that they couldn't have an elevator because the power supply is unreliable, so if you have trouble with stairs as I do, I suggest you request a first floor room. Although it's a great location near to the lake, there are no cafes, restos or convenience stores close by. A bottle of water is provided on your fist day only. A snack bar at reception would be great.
Despite the negatives I have no hesitation giving this hotel a five star rating.

The best hotel in Copacabana, but ..

The best hotel in Copacabana, very good location, the rooms have lake view. Good infrastructure and good food. The service staff is attentive. It would be 5, but it . It doesn't have WiFi, or it does but it doesn't work. And from the staff's responses it seems like a normal situation. The WiFi, in countries like Bolivia, the hotel's WiFi is CRUCIAL, for us WiFi is more important than breakfast.

The rooms are big with very nice lake view. The breakfast and dinner are nice too. However, we were given one double bed room and two twin beds rooms when we booked 3 rooms with king size bed at expedia, and our rooms were far apart.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful views.

This is a truly beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The design, decor and views from the room surpass anything that we have seen so far in South America. The staff were wonderful in every way and could not possibly have been any more helpful. As a negative, there is no WiFi signal in the room and the water was not particularly hot during the day (although fantastic at night). Both of these negatives should not be happening at a hotel of this quality.
Despite these issues, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We were checked into one of the rooms in the second \"tower\" which are separate rooms at the bottom of the building, near where they park the tourist buses. The cleaning needs more attention, since we found many hairs in the bed. They switched us to a second room which also had hairs in the bed. We also had trouble sleeping at night because of all the neighborhood dogs barking.

Beautiful hotel in Copacabana with excellent restaurant. Easy walk to town square and beach. Keep in mind, however, that it is a 3-5 hour ride to the nearest airport. The airport in Copacobana is closed.

Exceptionally well positioned half way up the hill so that your view of the lake and shore line is maximized while not having to climb too high. Sunset views are outstanding from the dining room and lake facing rooms. The decor is well balanced between modern and local, very inviting colours. Quiet, an outstanding sleep!

Great view. No hot water.

This hotel and it's view are gorgeous. Simply stunning room. Love the decor and detail.

The only reason I'm not giving it perfect marks is due to the lack of hot water. Tried to shower but water had poor water pressure and was barely like warm. This would be expected in a lower end hotel, not one of this price point.

Went to ask for assistance and all I was told was to let it keep running and it would warm up, when in fact it did the opposite.

Both front desk clerk and Manager were very apologetic to the issue but instead of offering a discount (as requested) they gave me a voucher for a craft shop in La Paz.

Other than that it is a lovely hotel with a great breakfast but given the amount of choice in Copacabana o think money could be better spent elsewhere.

This stunningly beautiful hotel is set partly up a hill, with breathtaking views from our room of Lake Titicaca. The hotel is tastefully appointed with Bolivian folk art in all spaces. Wish we could have stayed here more than one night.

Outstanding attention to detail

Really a great room and nice facility - a little embarrassingly nice for me and my buddy! It would be a great place to stay with my wife :) We had one dinner in the restaurant - it was expensive (for Bolivia) and not really superior to other meals we paid a lot less for. Breakfast buffet would get higher marks if eggs had been available. Staff was very helpful and front desk had enough English to make up the difference in what is lacking in my rudimentary Spanish.

The hotel locates a little bit far from main street, but thanks to this, the hotel can have a quiet environment. There is no elevator in the hotel but the bellboy will help you with the luggage. Their restaurant has pretty view and nice food. Actually you can not find something better rather than this hotel. This is kind of the only HOTEL in Copa.

This is a very comfortable hotel with beautiful views of the lake and very nice and beautifully decorated rooms. Breakfast was decent, although the eggs were runny and cold. There is a comfortable sitting room for early morning arrivals to rest and wait for check-in or the next lake tour. Be aware that there is a short, but steep uphill/downhill between this hotel and the lakeshore or the town center.

Unreliable Payment System, No Hot Water

Payment was requested several times by hotel and hotel kept losing my CC info. No hot water, dark property with no lights or burnt out bulbs lighting grounds. Had to use my cell phone flashlight to get to room every night. Restaurant states they do not have milk. Who doesn't have milk for coffee? Close to water and decent views but requires some work on key service areas.

Great boutique hotel overlooking Lake Titikaka. Room was clean and comfortable. All rooms seem to have great views of the lake. Staff was super helpful. Breakfast was OK. Fruit did not seem fresh and selection of food items was narrower than our La Paz hotel. Overall, excellent value!

Wonderful staff make this hotel a wonderful experience. The room I stayed in was spotless, with comfortable beds and a great view of lake Titicaca. After staying in budget options through Chile and Salar de Uyuni- this three star hotel seemed like the ritz. Much needed and much appreciated.

Spacious Room with Nice View

Booked a standard room for 1 night for just under USD90 including breakfast.

Check-in was quick. Staff helped me with luggage, realised got a room on 2nd floor with no lift so I headed back and asked for a room on the ground floor instead (did not want to climb any stairs as I was out of breath easily), the receptionist arranged a room change right away.

Room was spacious with a little seating area and nice decor details, good bathroom with tub. TV is a little small but not a problem. Really like the little balcony looking out to Lake Titicaca where you can watch the sunset.

Had dinner at the restaurant, quinao soup was nice, duck leg was mediocre. After I finished, no staff was around so I went to the reception, a lady was there and she came down to the restaurant to help me find the staff so I could sign the bill. Before I left, the reception staff helped me order a taxi to get to the bus station. Overall staff quite attentive apart from the restaurant staff who kind of disappeared.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful lake view

My college grad daughter and I stayed 3 nights - wished it were longer. Within 5 min to city center. Staff is excellent , great management, very hospitable, great breakfast. Copacabana is a tiny town but 3 days goes by quickly since there are many activities. Would definitely go back!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views of the lake. Rooms were spacious and furnished with local handicrafts. Lovely gardens to sit and read or just take in the view.
Staff friendly and helpful. Tv had no English channels and no air con in room but minor things compared with the overall.

The hotel is excellent./. Each room faces the lake and had a beautiful view. The rooms are large. Beds are wonderful. You are a short walk to city center and right on lake. Breakfast is really nice too. Eggs made any way for you with lots of other choices. Our only fault was limited hot water late in afternoon. But the next am it was really hot.

Fantastic Hotel in Copacabana

The hotels is clean and the rooms are big. The beds are comfortable. Internet is slow, but that's generally the case in Copacabana. It's a 1 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to the main strip. Lovely place.

Great place and great service!

My experience at the Hotel Rosario Lago Titicaca was excellent. The location is just a short distance from the water and I believe that every room has a beautiful water view. The rooms are decorated very creatively, in which each room has a “theme.” My room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The service was very good. I would like to mention the young man who brought my luggage to my room and carried it to the taxi the day I left (unfortunately I did not get his name). He had an incredibly positive attitude, was so helpful, and had a beautiful warm smile. I would stay at this hotel again and I actually did when we returned early from the Island of the Sun and they were able to accommodate us for another night.

Hotel Rosario - Copacabana, Bolivia

This hotel is wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only items I was less than happy with were that the rooms don't get warm enough at night even with the heaters, and the WiFi is very slow in the rooms as well as the lobby. Also, one item to note for vegetarians, the hotel restaurant does have a few entrée options but no salad or appetizer options - and they are not willing to substitute or customize anything on the menu. We managed fine, but this was a bit surprising compared to other restaurants in South America. I would stay here again regardless of these few issues.

The hotel itself is nice, the facilities are up to european standards, the location is good. If only the lazy, incompetent and unwilling staff wouldn't spoil the whole experience. The food is bad, the breakfast is a ridiculous assortment of left overs from yesterday and half empty plates. People from reception, waiters to cleaning personnel are unfriendly and not at the least customer oriented. The lack of service is an absolute no go for a place of this category and price. No recommendation!!!

Nice facilities, poor service, not worth the money

This hotel has nice yet empty facilities of international standard and design, for Bolivian measures pretty nice but also quite pricy. Unfortunately the staff is totally incapable, lazy, unfriendly, uneducated and simply not at the least customer oriented. For example, the breakfast was served from 7:00 - 10:00 am. When I arrived at 6:55 h there were only stale leftovers on the \"buffet\". Basics like cheese, ham, eggs, bread were missing. I had to ask the unwilling, unobservant and incapable waiter for every single dish to refill. The receptionist was unable to answer the simplest questions about the village, was unwilling to help us book tours or even just help us to call tour agencies or other contacts. For a hotel of this category and price one would expect a much better service, or better yet some kind of service and help. This hotel is definately not worth the money and is absolutly not to recommend!!!

Certainly worthy of a three rating ... with exceptionally helpful staff.

I stayed at the Hotel Rosario in Copacabana and was looking forward to the same high level of service. In both hotels the desk staff were exceptional in assisting guests, all staff were friendly and helpful and the meals served in the respective restaurants were tasty and enjoyable.
I would stongly recommend either of these hotels.

El hotel está bien pero es caro para lo que ofrecen.

La habitación es grande, cama cómoda, con un pequeño balcón y exterior. El desayuno nos defraudó para el tipo de hotel y lo que habíamos pagado. Bien ubicado (no en el mismo centro, a unos 5 minutos).

Ojo ! Lo que nos cobraron en el hotel no coincidía con lo que habíamos contratado en hoteles.com. Eran para dos noches 40 € de más. Nos dimos cuenta al día siguiente e hicimos reclamación. Nos cobraban un tipo de cambio de euro a boliviano que no coincidía con el oficinal. Protestamos y nos devolvieron en efectivo esos 40 € (lo correspondiente en bolivianos).

El hotel está bien pero es caro para los precios que se pagan en Bolivia, para las instalaciones y servicios del hotel...
