Staffs are absolutely horrible

When I arrived, I headed to the reception, where two guys were present and giving me some odd looks. I introduced myself and said I wanted to check in. I then asked about the facilities, but their responses were so unprofessional and vague that I was genuinely shocked. It's okay but not great

I wouldn't book this hotel again, floor whatever is carpet or weird Lino it's the same in the room as in the bathroom, corridors smell of cigarettes, WiFi is very bad, I mean shocking bad and when u put card in the holder to get power in the room fuse board always buzzing and reception was not interested to do something about it, breakfast was okay, haven't use the spa or pool u unfortunately so can't comment, on plus side really good water pressure in shower.

This hotel was well equipped and a fantastic value.. correction, an unbelievable value (when I booked anyway). They have a gym and a pool and sauna rooms...plural. They have breakfast buffet which is in my opinion pretty good. The rooms aren't luxury, but they are comfortable and clean with adequate bathroom facilities. The area is close to transportation and a walkable distance to a touristy part of town. It's in a university student area of town. The staff was a little cold to deal with, and their English wasn't great, but I had no issues. I'd go back in a heartbeat...especially if I got the deal I got the first time.

We booked a room for 4 nights.
Found the room was modern to some extent but had stains on the floor. No room service or a telephone. Cleaning service was appalling! Shockingly they only clean the rooms every 3 days including bathroom.. even that didn’t happened in our 4 nights stay. Upon request they cleaned the bathroom one day and did not touch the bed. We had to make our own bed…that’s not what you expect to do when on holiday.!!! Air con makes a hell of a lot of noise but wouldn’t cool the room down.. 😅. Bedroom windows open wide with no safety catch… (not safe if your staying with little children). A little limited with the breakfast selection, practically the same items everyday… but they did have a good selection of coffee from the machine. 👌
Staff were mainly pleasant apart from one who was very arrogant. Metro station is approximately 10 minutes walk but through some quiet dark streets and pathways. Not for travelling alone in the night.
Not many nice places to eat out due to being a student area. It’s located in a very quiet area with not much to do.
Not the best location for tourist who are visiting Sofia and wish to spend time in the city centre.

Hotel feels tired. Furniture and finishings are rather strange,especially room flooring. Pool is OK when not full of children as it is 25m and good for a swim. Sauna Park as they call it is good with 3 saunas to choose from and a steam bath. Fitness is decent too. Restaurant is OK, closes as 9PM and you do not other options nearby. Area around the venue also feels strange despite the park where you can have a walk. Lobby area seems spacious but feels empty to me. Business facilities not used, so no opinion there. WiFi is open and drops regularly, receptions has no LAN cables to give you and I do not even work the wired connections are avaliable despite LAN sockets in rooms. This was also the first hotel that I visited with its doors openning towards you. Also no telephone in rooms and no room service available.
Go there if you have business in the area, not worth a special visit.

Clean and courteous but disappointing

I booked rooms on the hotel's website at the hotels to find a fridge and microwave and an electric stove and unfortunately these items were not the one that is the reason I closed this hotel. It is very disappointing that the pictures on the site do not reflect reality. The receptionist was generous and understanding and arranged for us only an electric kettle for the room. We were very disappointed.

OK Value for money - but left wanting...

Big room. They don't service the rooms every day - which is fine, if you know to expect it.
The elevator situation is a bit of a joke, sometime you have to wait for ages for the elevator to arrive.
The breakfast is worthless.
But the location next to the park is good. The gym is also good, but overcrowded. Didn't get a chance to try to pool.
Will most likely choose another hotel next time.
Ok value for the price though.

Trashy.. We booked a suite, because we were traveling with our children. Room smelled like cigarettes and we found an empty whiskey bottle under the table. We mentioned it to the receptionist, when we were leaving, and while looking at the computer she mumbled \"Well..ok. Sorry\". Three words! Nothing even similar to a costumer service. Very disappointing- we re never staying there again...

Incredible staff. Good location over all for my needs on this trip.
The Hotel is showing its age and NOT in a good way !
Desperately needs an update and reinvestment in the property, broken or worn out EVERYWHERE... good value, yes , but not good ....
Skip the breakfast if they charge you for it.
Good bar .... Nice elevators ... not much parking , but normal for Bulgaria. Again , GREAT STAFF !

DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

Probably the worst stay I've ever had in a hotel. When I arrived after several hours of driving, the people at reception could not check me in because the system was down. There were already other guests waiting for some hours. I headed to the restaurant for dinner while the problem was solved and they said they could not take my order because of the same problem -even when I was willing to pay with cash- after complaining to the manager they finally did (food was not great either). After a couple of hours I was finally able to check in. It took them several minutes to give me the key due to water falling from the ceiling into the card machine and all over the reception desk (yep, the sight was worth a picture). When I got to the room, it was not the type I had booked, so I had to go down go through the whole saga again while there were still more rain at inside than outside. The room was ok except for the bathtub which leaked flooding the room. At check out it ages again to do the process and at the end she said that I was all set up without asking for my credit card. I double checked with her and she said it was ok. I thought they had automatically billed it against the booking, so I left. I realized I had left my charger at the room so I returned to reception. The lady received me as if I was a burglar accusing me of leaving without paying, making me feel very uncomfortable. If I had intended not to pay I would have not returned for my charger, duh! Awful in all aspects

Be prepped for a nonsense stay but Lovely views

Ok, It is a very vibrant area just across the park so I enjoyed the walk. The hotel is strange...fairly new but remind me of the dated not thought through hotel from the past....the cleaners are amazing but the rest of the stuff is not customers trained and not able to step in the shoes of the customers. If you need to iron something...your only option is to pay for their inhouse professional ironing service as they will not give you an iron as they don't have an iron...Trying to dry long hair...forget...the wall mounted hair dryer can dry perhaps the fur of a mouse but not real human hair...No bath mat so you splash water around and you have to call the cleaners as water goes on the corridor as the shower curtain was so mistiffing. if you happened to be in a junior suit with a mini kitchen....bring your own pans and plates... that was truly amazing. Bed was ok but pillows for partner were in the cupboard with no pillowcases. So overall, Be prepped for a nonsense stay but nice views, lovely area and amazing spa /although various confusions at the spa reception..../.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Fast and easy check in. Staff spoke excellent English and very professional. Room is large, two bedrooms with a large family room. Great for family or couple traveling together. Park located across the street with play area for children. Two markets, numerous pubs, clubs near the hotel. Breakfast was large with lots of meats, bread, fruits and coffee. Excellent hotel for the price.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite for 4 people, we arrived around 11pm. However, when we checked into the room we found that there were only 2 blankets, 2 towels and 2 pairs of slippers. The next morning we had to ask for more blankets and also requested not to clean the suite just for that day, but the following days no one came to clean the suite until we had to ask the desk to ensure that it will be cleaned the next day. We also had to ask the reception for toilet paper as they only provided 1 roll. There was not enough cutlery, plates or glasses for 4 people so I thus, had to ask the restaurant as well. Also, the telephone was not numbered and did not have a phone book which made it impossible to call the desk or restaurant etc... unless you physically went and asked them. I do not recommend staying here and I too will not stay here again.

I guess they were kidding us. The room was 5 square meter for 3 people. And 3rd bed was not a bed. It was some kinds of strange a thing. You can not even use a chair. The distance of beds are 15-20 cm. My suitcase is bigger than their kitchen. The room was a kind of toys for baby girls. Everything was like just show not for using. Also there were sportsmen and they were so noisy and they were making massage on hall. I don't need to see their naked body and smelling their bad smells.

Only problems I had was with the room being very cold, but being on the top floor in the wind with wind chills in the negative teens didn't help much. So not entirely their fault. However, they could change the central a/c unit to give off heat too to aid the radiators. It was much colder in the lobby many times. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful Spa amenities. Sadly during my stay it was difficult to even get into the restaurant many times because during my stay there were several teams staying there for a volleyball tournament and they literally took control of the place. I would still stay again if my travels take me there again.

A big mistake, it's definitely not a four star.

Checked in with a girl who perhaps shouldn't work in customer service. Room was dirty, dirty sock left, grubby floors and greasy walls by the kitchen. Asked for a kettle or pan, they said no receptacle for this in whole hotel (they have a restaurant). Told there was a wedding on so very busy, well that's not my problem and if they can't cope with a wedding and other customers then don't take their money. Advertised wired Internet, there was none, I asked for a wire to fix it myself, they didn't have one so I bought one, didn't work!
The young girl on breakfast was really lovely and good with customers and the barman too.
Location was good for us personally but if you need more central there are other choices.
The breakfast was satisfactory.
Overall this is not a 4 star hotel, the room dirty and dated and the service received not good. Would never stay here again or recommend to anyone.

I enjoyed my stay at Vitosha Park Hotel. The staff was great. Very courteous and helpful. My room was clean and spacious. The only complaint I have is that the thermostat didn't work well. It was hard for me to control the temperature in my room. When it got too warm, I had to open a window. But other than that, great experience.

Good hotel but far from center

During a recent business trip, I stayed in this hotel with a group. It was comfortable enough, OK breakfast, but quite far out of the center of town. It's near studenskigrad which has some good bars and restaurants. But I missed being able to walk out to dinner and roam around the center of town. You can walk about 10 minutes to a metro stop which is OK. In general, the hotel was fine, and the service was good. No complaints.

The hotel was OK and did not break the bank, but giving it a 4 stars is a bit much. I'd rate it probably 2,5. It was not as clean as it could be, the location does not offer a lot and breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Restaurant food was nice but overpriced considering Sofia's prices. I had no problems with hotel staff, although reception seemed a bit confused at times.

Impressive lobby! BUT....Rooms are small and old, with many things broken... Front desk staff was responsive. We had a pleasant experience with a bartender...Restaurant staff can win a competition for bitter faces! You are going to have to pay for your towel for the swimming pool, and the pool is very small, and crowded because of swimming lessons for kids not staying in the hotel. Dear distributer of \"Lavazza\" for Bulgaria- Your hotel needs serious attention!!!!

Good sports-oriented hotel, passable for families

We picked this hotel because it had a pool and had when we selected 2 x adults and 1 x infant via hotels.com it came up with good room options, with a suite at an okay price. I turned out not really to be a great place for a family to come - our fault really for not looking in enough detail - but it's geared very much to sporting guests. The swimming pool is really a training pool - and not for kids. In fact a large party of the other guests were genuine sportspeople - two national volleyball teams. Though booking for 2 adults and 1 child, there was not bed provided for the child. Okay - we didn't need it for her young age but strange not to offer anything. The a/c wasn't working in the room when we arrived at the weekend, and they couldn't fix it for a couple of days, but it did get fixed. The internet was very intermittent. Wifi connection was strong, but the connection to the internet itself was not... but okay - it's a very clean modern hotel and the amenities are fine. It's location is rather nice - next to a lovely park and a 10-15 minute walk to the metro from which the city centre is an easy ride away. There are plenty of places to eat nearby either on or around the Uni campus on which it sits, or close-by. Nice views of the mountain if your room is on the right side of the hotel!

A good value for the price

I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is was easy to find, within a half hour of all the major sights of Sofia and the room was comfortable and clean. Restaurant food was reasonably priced and really good. I can definitely recommend this hotel to other guests.

Suite had a very uncomfortable bed settee.
Double bed was very firm and had single quilt. no crockery, cutlery, pans or cooking utensils even though there was a hob, microwave and sink.
Breakfast was limited but acceptable.

Room cleaning is average: on the first day I had to request it at reception!!
In 3 days of stay sheets and pillowcases were never changed (they were in need..)
A musty smell persists in the room - perhaps it comes from the curtains or poor ventilation.
Breakfast: rather poor in quality.
Plus : only one active coffee machine - despite a high number of guests (this forces to a long waiting lines)
NO bread toaster.
