Smooth transitions and spacious room. Breakfast was good and overall an excellent experience.
The last time I stayed here was around 2008 when the hotel wasn’t even open. We were fog bound at Sofia airport and had nowhere to stay, only a crippy little B&B that Bulgaria Air offered us. We persuaded the manager to let us stay whilst they were staff training! Great night then and loved it again now 17 years later!

Good location, very nice rooms, but the ac was not cold enough and did not have an option to adjust so needless to say, we sweated through the night. The coffee is just an instant option which is disappointing for a hotel this class. An actual coffee machine would have been a great addition. Loved the water bottles you can refill. A word of warning, don’t expect a super friendly treatment. We were five minutes late for our airport transportation booking (which was 3 times more than a regular taxi fare) and got an attitude about it from the driver. Mind you, it was 4 am in the morning and no one was up needing the service. Also, the airport for 7 min away. So there was no need to make us feel bad for being 5 min late (FYI, I am traveling with children). Also, be aware, the location is on a busy road in Sofia where to get to most shopping you have to cross a rather complex route that doesn’t always look safe, car rides are also complicated as they will take you a long way before you get to Sofia Mall which you can literally see across the road from your window. Overall, a decent option, but if you need a place near the airport and easier access to shopping and friendlier faces, stay at the Novotel across the road.

We’ve been staying at this hotel every time we fly in or out of Sofia and we always have a great experience. The hotel staff is friendly, rooms are spacious and spotless clean, beds are comfortable. There is free parking and it’s easy to get around by car or taxi. We’ve used the hotel airport shuttle in the past but we had a car this time, otherwise it was a great option to get to the airport. Overall the excellent hotel and they’ve continuously kept the level of service over the years. Highly recommend!

I am sorry but will never stay again

I did not think it was value for money. As a frequent business traveller I stay in many hotels and I’d say there is nothing from Radisson.

Bed uncomfortable, SPA does not work (advertised here as hotel with a SPA), room service delivered with a long delay due to miscommunication and a supervisor did not knock before coming into the room to ‘check how housekeeping cleaned it’ - after one night? How can you go wrong with tridying up a room and also why wouldn’t you knock? I found room decor dated and depressing. Location is average as entrance is through the residential area. My taxi driver got into an accident dropping me off. Bed uncomfortable, a memory foam mattress.

I am sorry for such negative review but I did not sleep/eat well in this hotel and could not work out or have a spa service. The only exercise mat in the gym was supposed to be binned months ago - stained, old and dirty.

The hotel was good, your webpage on the hotel needs updating as I says you get a free breakfast and they refused, so cost me 200 for something I was expecting to come with the room,also I was enquiring regarding the free transfer to the airport and because my departure from the hotel was 1 o’clock I was told that I would have to pay a subsidy for after 12 which it doesn’t show so I got there another way as I felt I had paid a good amount for the suite in stayed in and refused to give them any more, probably cutting off my nose to spite my face but I’m like that

Way overpriced for what you get.

First of all the hotel hasn’t been renovated since probably 1990s or 2000s. The rooms are dark and barely lit and only basic toiletry provided. No hair conditioner for example.

The service is appropriate to the era: we had an early flight and had to be in the airport at 6:50am.
When we tried to book the advertised “free airport transfer” we’ve been told the the shuttle departs only at the beginning of an hour, so we had a choice either wake up another hour earlier and spend an extra hour sitting in the airport, or get there late. We chose ordering a taxi at our own expense.

Breakfasts are an extra option like in many hotels in Bulgaria and we had prepaid one when we booked the room. But despite the fact that the hotel is close to the airport and many travelers choose it because of this, the hotel does not offer nether early breakfasts (before 7:00 on the weekends) nor lunchboxes, nor any other form of compensation for the service for which they took extra money but never provided.

I would advice everyone to avoid this hotel. There are good alternatives in the same area which offer way better accommodation for the same or lower price.

This was a great hotel. They offered free round trip shuttle to and from the airport, which I took advantage of! It was such a nice experience and I didn’t have to worry about finding a cab or take public transportation. My room was clean and cozy. It had a very comfy bed. The bathroom was clean with a shower/tub. This hotel had a spa in it but when I checked in on a Friday the front desk person let me know the spa was only open on the week days. I was a bit bummed I couldn’t enjoy the spa while I was there. Other than that I enjoyed my stay!

Second time staying at this hotel, however it’s my first since the take over by Radisson. The staff are friendly and helpful especially at reception. Breakfast is excellent value and something for everyone.
The downside is the kitchen closes at 10pm and it is a struggle to get food after 9.40pm.
My biggest complaint would be that the hotel shuttle is only complementary if you need it before 12 am checkout time…..not all flights fall in this time frame.

The property and staff are great and the hotel has a free shuttle to the airport (which is why I chose it). Unfortunately there is more to be desired wrt the integration when booking through Expedia. I booked for 2 adults and a 17 year child through, the booking went through fine and only after I showed up at the hotel I was told that the room I booked only has two twin beds, no place for the 3-rd person to sleep.. So I had to pay EUR 30 extra on the spot for a roll-away bed. Looking back at the confirmation email, it indeed said 2 twin beds, not sure if Expedia or the hotel's reservation system dropped the ball on the 3-rd person in the room. I'd have likely picked a different hotel had I known the full price in advance. Frustrating, please fix this.

I have used the hotel on a number of occasions previously. Very convenient location to get into Sofia, and leave the city in most directions. I had an issue with the bed, and the staff quickly gave me another room, no questions asked. I'll be happy to go back.
