The room was beautiful and practically new. It was basically an apartment and super handy for traveling with a family because you don't have to eat out every meal. In general , the property was gorgeous and in a wooded area, nice and quiet. Our only complaint what's that the pool, which was one of the main reasons we stayed, there became unavailable starting the 2nd day of our stay due to technical problems.

The main reason my family booked the resort was for the indoor pool attraction. When we arrived we were told that the pool was out of order!!! My children were on spring break and all they wanted to do was swim :-(

Some activities cancelled. Beach accessibility was more than adequate. Nature trail blocked. Playground not nearly as pictured. Bar closed & apparently dismantled (during NCAA finals). Pool closed (literally 7 min after we had gotten in) and stayed closed for duration. Same with hot tub. Same with lazy river. Same with splash park (but they were running the whole time). Trash piled up on room and common entryways for hours. Open sewer in at least one common walkway. Exposed electrical wire across walkway, uncovered; appeared to have been there a while. Rooms were fairly acceptable. Only a broken shower door latch and paper thin walls to complain about within. Oh and the common area fire extinguisher for our particular building was inspected most recently June of 2021.

We spent 5 days here with the kids during Spring Break and it was very nice. The cabin was very cozy but it wasn’t completely clean. Everyone was very nice, especially the girls who help at the reception. The indoor pool was not working at the end of our stay, which made us very sad. It's a nice place to stay with your family !

The room was spacious and clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The indoor pool area was a highlight and a lot of fun for the kids, and the added perk of beach parking for hotel guests was really convenient.

That said, there were a few downsides. Noise from neighboring condo/apartment guests could be an issue at times, and common doors were occasionally left open. We were also disappointed that the start time for the Easter egg hunt event was changed without notifying guests, which unfortunately meant our kids missed out on participating.

Everytime i come to check in at Welcome Center its always one customer service representative friendly and one thats not friendly thistime the young man who Checked me in very friendly and made me feel very welcome the lady working with him when I spoke to her didn't acknowledge me or speak back same thing when I checked out the lady was very very friendly and thanked me for staying at Beechwoods the guy standing beside her i spoke too didn't speak back or acknowledge me. My family and I had a great time. The resort and rooms are very clean and the staff was wonderful. My 3 year old son absolutely loved the indoor pool and waterslide.

This was our first time staying at Beachwoods. It was above expectations in many ways nestled back in the woods but close to many stores and the beach too. Very nice for a family get together and lots of fun for grandbabies.

The room (2502 B) was clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. The staff was amazing. We had a little issue and they took care of it until it was no more.
Check in was easy. Facilities looked wonderful even though we did not have a chance to use them.

A shout out to Michele, Maddie and Patrick for their excellent service.

The whole facility is outstanding!, from the check in staff and the property is excellent and well designed. The suite has great lay out and the other couple we were traveling with had an adjoining suit which made are ability to enjoy each other’s company. And the water pressure and temperature of the shower was as good as or better then my own at home. We felt like we were in our own home!!!

Our family has been coming to OBX for years. This year when our usual group could not join us, we quickly pivoted from our usual house rental to a smaller option for myself, partner, and kids. Our unit was just the right size for the four of us (1 K in BD, plus a Q pullout in the LR). It was nice having the kitchen available, which is unique from the usual hotel experience. The balconies are surrounded by woods so had several large spiders when we first arrived, but maintenance cleared them right away when requested! The kids loved the indoor splash zone, arcade, and peddle boats. I wish we would have attended more of the daily activities ($). They looked fun, but we were busy with our own things off campus. The weather was so nice we would have loved for the outdoor pool to be open, but we travel in the off season so that was not a surprise.

We did have some concern about bugs. Even at the main property there were spiders and large webs on the outdoor furniture. There were a few roaches in the unit and common areas. My kid came to my room one morning crying that a bug was in her bed. I went to find a large roach under the pillow. Later we returned to the unit to find another in the bedroom. Service was great, though! Staff sprayed the unit while we were out the next day and there were no more bugs in the unit afterward! On the last day, there was a large one in the indoor pool area.

Overall, the staff/service and nearby amenities made the stay exceptional!

We didn’t have any issues in the parking lot and never used the hot tub. The unit we rented was exactly what we needed. I am temporarily handicap and it suited me perfectly. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. It was a great day.

Nice Unit, Pretty Location, Beware Guest WIFI

Our stay was during shoulder season, so the pools were not in operation, which is understandable. The unit itself was OUTSTANDING for the price -- 1 master bedroom, 1 loft bedroom, 2 generous bathrooms, private deck and private screened porch, and a washer/dryer shared with one other unit. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were asked about viewing the Vacations Club presentation, but it wasn't harassing or troublesome. The location of the property is wonderful -- nestled in the woods off the main highway, so it is close to the action but you feel a million miles away. The buildings themselves are in need of some maintenance. Dropped my rating for cleanliness because the foyer housing the washer/dryer had a very unpleasant odor and because a fairly large critter of some sort was living in the attic and rooting around all night -- a little disconcerting. Notified the staff, and I am confident they will have it resolved. The only problem I would warn other guests about is the guest WIFI. It is NOT secured. Husband and I were on it for only a few minutes to glance at our emails and the hacking attempts have been nonstop since then.

The site is weirdly located behind a Walmart. Amenities are fine. The suite had paper thin walls. I heard EVERYTHING from the next unit. One morning I thought my neighbors were eating in my kitchen. I might as well have shared their condo. It was not relaxing. When I was asked about the stay, and I commented on this, the response was “Gee- sorry to hear that.” Not even an offer to be relocated to a more isolated unit during a slow season. The quality of construction was awful.

I really enjoyed the location and just feel in love with the view! Overall the entire resort was beautiful just the staircase to my villa was breathtaking, but once u open the suite doors and see the room you just amazed all over!
