I been staying here the same week for 6 years. Room was clean. They got rid of the weed smokers on the first floor. The building smells better without them there. Parking was good. There is side street parking as well. They offer breakfast. It is coffee and some mini muffins. They need to improve on this. They used to have better breakfast selection.

I’ve stayed there one other time, the first time was better than the first. The room was clean, the air conditioner didn’t work the best. The heated pool was great with us being able to enjoy the pool on cold days when the water at the beach was cold. We never got new towels or trash taken out of the bags replaced.

Staff was great, room was clean some lights didn't work, toliet leaked but pet friend good price and staff was helpful. Miss the continental breakfast they used to have. Pet friendly spaces are first floor with an outdoor area available so you can open the door and get freash air. Also low traffic area for walking your pets.

We stayed four nights and our room was never cleaned, nor was the trash ever taken out. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The morning we were to check out there was no staff around to check us out and when someone finally showed up they just said leave the key on the desk so we didn’t get a receipt or anything.

This was our third time staying here and never again. It has gone way downhill ended up leaving right after checkin. There was a terrible smell that greeted us in the hallway and into our room. Everything was very dirty. The ac/ heat was super musty smelling. Will never return.

If you suffer from allergies, you will be miserable here. Animals are acceptable here, and lack of carpet cleanliness makes for a miserable stay. We ordered a room for 2 days, and left after one day. Hopefully they used the money we wasted on the extra day for better cleaning practices.

We have stayed at the Travelodge on multiple occasions over the last 4 or 5 years. The last time being in 2023. The quality of the rooms, pool, and overall the entire hotel have gone downhill in those two years. There was trash all around the parking lot and in the pool. On the morning of check out, there was a roach in the bathroom. We will not be staying again.

Great beach access for the money! Wright Bros. Monument is 2 blocks away but not walkable-- the highway can't be safely crossed on foot. Also, a car is necessary to get to restaurants and other places of interest, though they are near enough. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

It doesn't have any of the things it advertised... no gym is at the ymca 5 miles away continental breakfast not.. juice and coffee only. No one cleaned the room I asked for service twice, only took out the trash and fresh towels.. I was there 5 days. The beach is across the street but it shows like its out the back door. I definitely willnot come back there or recommend it

Terrible Experience!

While we were checking in, part of the vinyl siding fell on our car! We were put in a room that smelled like wet dogs. We had not asked for a pet friendly room. The shower tiles had mildew all around them, and the tub was leaking. Our AC had an irritating knocking noise intermittently all night. As soon as we were about to go to sleep, the knocking would wake us up. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but I booked a new place at 4:00am for the 2nd night. After all I was wide awake! I would suggest that you not stay here! The pictures on their website are misleading! It looks nothing like the pictures! Needless to say we were very disappointed!

My honest review......This isn't a \" fancy \" place, but a nice, reasonably priced, quite place to lay your head and dog friendly.
I did online check in, therefore that was easy. Checked in b/t 7-7:30 pm, walked in, got card in less than 2 minutes .
We went on a holiday weekend and there were no parking problems. The place is right at a crosswalk and beach access, making it easy and safe for crossing the road, but not within walking distance to a convenience store.
The pool was nice. It's interior location made it nice for blocking the wind.
There are ice machines on every floor; so you didn't have to go to another for it.
Now, for the room....It was quiet. I had no problems with the cleanliness. I thought the bed was comfortable but each bed had only 3 pillows ( I like a few pillows for different reasons to make my sleeping comfortable ) and they were too soft ( bring your own...lol ). The coffee maker was only a one cup at a time coffee maker ( there is coffee in the lobby; no food ) and there is a small microwave. There was only 1 chair on the balcony 😏. The AC was cold but woke me up everytime it came on.
The staff was friendly. Again, I'm not a \" fancy \" person, we were there to enjoy our visit. I wouldn't pay for ocean \"view\" again b/c it was very minimal. Id take the pool view to save a few $$, you'll need it to pay for meals 😳. Yes, I would stay here again for economic reasons to lay my head down.

I got to knock them some points off though. 2 years in a row now I’ve paid for my room a month or 2 months early, only to have them “glitch” in the system and charge me again upon arrival. 2 years in a row!! The paint and drywall in the bathroom was bubbling up and peeling. The carpet smelled disgusting. The sliding glass door would only open 1 foot wide, then got stuck. The in room refrigerator's freezer compartment was in desperate need of defrosting, and didn't actually keep anything frozen. The connected in-room hair dryer didn't work at all. There was a hurricane and not one staff member prepared the property and multiple pool umbrellas were blown over and broken as a result. The web page still lists \"free breakfast\" but we were told they just don't bother anymore. There was often loud parties in one room that seemed to have been taken over by staff, and the \"heated pool\" was not always heated. We've been coming here for a few years, but this year will probably be the last.

To begin with the pictures on this are very misleading…. We paid for an ocean front and when we arrived it was all blocked by houses they were built…. Second the place is very outdated… we got stuck in the elevator for about 20 min…. Nothing in it worked the phone, alarm, nothing. Then we get into room and find the toilet never stops running, the bathtub is non stop dripping/ running, the balcony door is ready to come off the hinges. There is no breakfast, nothing….. both elevators broke on our stay and we ended up having to carry all of our things up and down 4 floors and mind you my husband has a heart condition. I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last available…. The guy at the front desk didn’t even care…. Absolutely disgusted with the place will NOT return

Overall it was just a place for us to sleep the pool was nice and our room was clean. There was no continental breakfast just juice and coffee. The first room we stayed in the safe kept beeping every 2 seconds loudly and we requested a new room and the lady told us there were no other rooms and there was nothing she could do to make the safe stop beeping at 10:00 p.m. and that there was no one else working on site to fix things. after my children couldn't sleep due to the excessive loud beeping we went to the front desk and they did end up changing our room after complaining to them more. Not my worst experience but definitely not my best either.

I can live with the outdated look but having a shower that doesn’t drain and a pretty dirty shower head is not one. Quickest shower ever, couldn’t even wash my hair and to pay $165 for one night for that is very disappointing. That either means housekeeping ran no water to clean the shower, didn’t clean it at all, or just didn’t care or bother to let maintenance know.

Their ad says ocean front on the beach. The beach is actually across the street and cannot be seen from the hotel. I understand they used to be on the beach and moved to refurbish the other building. Perhaps they should change their ad to “ used to be oceanfront”. Beds were comfortable and internet was spotty. No food available in hotel or adjacent.

I booked a Friday night. I later added Thursday night. The Wed. before our trip I called Travelodge-spoke to a female, asked her if she could combine the bookings...I thought I might have booked 2 different rooms. If NOT, totally fine, it was my doing. She said she could do it-we were all set to be in the same room both nights. We arrived Thursday and \"A\" checked us in...he didn't see where the bookings were combined. So again-I asked if he could do it. He said YES and we could just stay all of Friday, not check out and back in, etc. Friday morning we were ready to walk to the beach-it's a hike. I stopped by the front desk to again to verify the stay. \"G\"-a female worker at the front desk said, you are only booked for 1 night and then in a different room for tonight. I told her about the call and Abel...2 workers fixing it for us. She rudely looked at me like I was crazy and her answer was \"what do you want me to do?\" Oh and why are you mad at me?-\"well I didn't do this.\" I did tell her that her customer service skills were horrible. She didn't once say sorry or ask what she could do to help the situation, she didn't offer to call a manager. We packed up, turned in the cards and walked away. She yelled out for me asking if I was checking out-the exact thing she said we had to do and return at 4 to check into another room. We went back and forth and I finally walked away. We did NOT return although we paid for the night. The staff here has major communication issues.

I was over charged and have proof of initial payments. I was not giving the suite I paid for due to it being “out of service” for 2 years.. yet no one notified me after I purchased my reservation. The front desk staff was not helpful when bringing my concerns to them upon arrival and check in. The pool was not clean and cloudy, with bandaids, hair etc floating. I’m not a high maintenance person but it was not worth the 1300. We unfortunately will be staying elsewhere next trip to OBX. i will say it’s conveniently located to things.

The access did have stairs at the top which lead down to the beach so it made it slightly difficult for a wagon but manageable. The pool was super cloudy but was enjoyable. Misleading Descriptions

There was an issue with my deposit. I thought I paid a deposit but apparently the hotel does not do deposits. They said they were trying to get that fixed with hotels.com. It is not directly on the beach. You do have to walk across the street and if you have items such as a cooler and chairs, etc. you will need to park in the empty parking lot across the street. No golf course and no breakfast which a lot of guests complained about. Only coffee and juice. Room was okay. Bathroom is very small with little ventilation. Hotel needs to be updated badly. This is a last time for me and my family.

Overall the room was decent I will say cleaning staff needs to check behind/under the beds found a hair net, and some left over hair on the bottom of the sheet. I always check for bed bugs and nothing there to see. But check in was awesome. Pool looked very green so we didn’t get in. Will stay again just would like to see a little more clean, and also bottom floor smelled like cat pee!!!!

When we arrive I noticed the property wasn't as nice as the photos I saw, The room was smaller than I expected for the money.
Out side of our room was a green mm on the floor and it's was there for two days before someone cleaned it up. I'm not saying it was a bad place to stay but the room was smaller than I expected it to be. Close to the beach and that was a plus.
I think they should put some money into redoing the rooms, there was black mildew in the grout around the bathtub and buildup in the corners. Would I stay there again, sure if I got a better price. Sent $ 1049.00 for four nights. I think we could have done better for that kind of money.

The hotel has a great location. They take a copy of you drivers license which is odd. The virtual person on a screen for check in is strange. Check in was a nightmare!! You have to check in on a kiosk with a person on the screen, he has to reboot the system twice and there were so many people waiting. It wasn’t until one of the cleaning staff helped out she was so more efficient in getting people checked in
The hotel is conveniently located and has some good paces to eat around there

Told room would be ready by 2 and watch another couple get a room and I had to wait an additional 2 hours

Check in was easy. They have an online check in prior to the actual arrival. The hotel needs to be renovated and needs a general cleaning. The bathroom smells bad and the tiles are falling apart. The carpet needs to be cleaned. You can’t walk barefoot or your feet will turn black. This hotel mentioned breakfast included when it was booked, but it wasn’t true, a false advertisement. Their “breakfast” is only coffee/tea/juice and a fruit, either an apple or a banana.

The room was clean, but there were quite a few maintenance issues. Pool cloudy, buttons on lights in room were extremely difficult to turn on and off, the shower was difficult to adjust, the entry rug was gross, trash can and dumpster were overflowing, and the overall appearance outside was not as pictured on internet.

Advertising breakfast, don’t count on it unless all you eat is a banana or apple. They had juice and coffee. One reason to book for me with kids is because breakfast is offered. Instead, we had to eat out every morning. Also watch out for additional charges when booking. Read the fine print when you pay in two installments. Because I did not pay in full, and occupancy was high, I was charged extra. My additional charges were over $400. Due to the additional charges, I could have made reservations at a much nicer property had I known that in the beginning. you also cannot see the beach from this hotel. There is, however, a public access across the street from the hotel.

Great pool good environment! Very clean! Only complaint is they ran out of toilet paper while we were there so they gave us tissues. Kind of sucked but it happens.

Pool is very dirty and no one checks HP levels at all.
Light fixtures are not working.
Water doesn’t drain in the bathtub.
No toilet paper.
Patio door don’t have a lock.
