Second stay without any hot tubs!! Tried to use indoor pool/hot tub - advertised open until 11:00 but at 10:00 security was closing "because it closes soon." Housekeeping was knocking on our door right after 8am despite checkout by 10am, and tried to enter twice - glad we used chain lock!

The room was very clean and the view was great but the beds were like sleeping on a piece of plywood (seriously!). My husband and I did not sleep, which made for very long days with 3 little kids! The hot tub was not working during our stay, which was disappointing and our TV was not working for the first 1.5 daysz Normally I wouldn’t care being at the beach but it was 50 degrees and crazy windy so limited outdoor activities. Sadly, I wouldn’t stay again solely due to the terrible beds.

We had a great stay at this beach condo! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, especially on cooler days. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, but I’d recommend bringing your own condiments and spices. While the unit is a bit outdated, it’s still well-kept and comfortable. The beds were especially cozy, which made it easy to relax after long days at the beach. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable place to stay!

The resort looks great- nice location, pools, and big rooms- but the management is a disaster.

We booked 4 nights through Expedia and got a call the next day saying we’d have to switch rooms halfway through. Annoying, but we adjusted. When we arrived at 5:15pm the front desk was already closed and security checked us in. He tried to charge me $400 instead of $49 and knew nothing about our room switch.

The next day, I stopped by the office to talk to an actual receptionist and the front desk confirmed we had to move the next day before noon but not an exact time. We packed early and sat around waiting for a call, but housekeeping showed up at 11:15 saying we should already be out. She didn’t know anything either and after multiple calls told us the room was “almost ready.” We ended up stuck outside in the heat with all our stuff, including groceries, until after 1 pm.

I asked for a manager, but no one ever came. All we got was late keys, excuses, and a cup of stale popcorn.

The resort itself is fine, but the staff and management have zero communication. If they tell you you’ll have to switch rooms, cancel your stay. It’s not worth the hassle.

Our first trip to the outer banks was made that much more enjoy finding this gems of place to stay in KDH. Clean, well run, and courteous staff added to the very comfortable bed and the community feeling of this property, will now be on our list for next summer. You can’t go wrong!

Great location…right along the beach. Lots of amenities. Although they weren’t explained at check in so we had to figure it out and ask other people. Elevator not working throughout the weekend. Not mentioned on check in and no help carrying luggage up 3 floors. But the accommodations were very clean. Beds a little firm but manageable.

The restaurants and grocery store were nearby making it convenient to get to. Our unit was very clean and spacious. Hope to visit again but will book directly with property so we know which unit we will be in. We were directly in front of the hot tub and could hear conversations pretty late into the night

when I booked this, I thought I was gonna be in the cool round buildings, but I was across the street which was fine. The place has a weird layout like you walk in and there is the living room. I did have a few issues with my key wouldn’t work it was hard to get in the door would stick and I had to get security to help me in.. Then the elevator broke so when I checked out, it was multiple trips down that I wasn’t planning on and the worst part was whoever was staying above me was incredibly loud and must’ve walked all day and all night because I could hear them I wonder if they if they had a dog or a kid because I could hear little steps running back-and-forth back-and-forth half the day and at night. I wasn’t also made aware of that on Saturday my stay right outside my door was gonna be a band playing in a craft fair. I was on my way out the door to go do something when I found this out so I missed most of it, but I would not have enjoyed having a band playing that close to my room without being made aware of it in advance. I give this place a three I might book it again, but if I do, I might insist on the top floor just because I didn’t get a lot of sleep with the noise of the people walking above me.

We really enjoyed our stay and all the amenities this resort offered. It was centrally located to all the things we wanted to do. The only draw back was we were required to strip all beds and bag up all sheets and towels which is not something I have ever had to do any place I have ever stayed.

Not what we expected

At check in the staff was friendly. We booked through hotels.com with a listing for a king bed. The room we received had a queen. I contacted Hotels.com and the representative contacted the hotel and was told they only offer queen beds. Then why was it an option? The bed was very firm but there were plenty of good pillows. We were only given enough towels for 4 people and no housekeeping daily. I tried to call the desk but got no answer. There is a shared laundry for the entire complex. The room we were given was listed as a courtyard view. It was across the street from the main complex behind the office. The room/condo was clean and well maintained.

Would not recommend. It's a large complex type community. All living room windows face onto the balconies, which are essentially the walkways everyone uses. This means you need to keep your curtains closed at all times if you want privacy, so as not to make eye to eye contact with everyone walking by. This made for a very cave-like atmosphere in the apartment. We didn't feel we were near the beach at all because we were so enclosed. The furniture was very uncomfortable. Both the couch and bed gave me aches I'm still trying to stretch out of.
It was very noisy. You expect to hear normal noise of people milling around, but we had the unfortunate circumstance of being placed in an apartment under a very noisy family of six. Three children, three adults. Our first night there was shocking. They let the children jump and run all over the apartment until 1:30am. And I'm not talking about normal kids stuff. They were clearly jumping off furniture throughout the night. Keep in mind the floors are all wooden, so it's extra loud. We hoped they would be leaving the next morning, since that was Sunday and so we wouldn't have to complain and they'd just be gone, but unfortunately we saw there were staying, as we saw them in the pool the next morning. After our terrible night, we thought we'd try to nip it in the bud and go to the office to explain the disturbance level and ask if we could be moved. They said no. We were told to deal with it for 6 nights. We'll never return.

I liked that the property was directly ocean front, even though it was a rather stenious walk to get to the beach. The property had many, many stairs, so not ideal for older folks or those with disability.

The pools were nice, never over crowded. We also enjoyed using the charcoal grills (would have been nice if they offered gas grills). The propery did have a few restarants and a icecream shop within walking distance, everything else was a short drive away.

The condo itself had everything we needed to cook in and stay in comfort. You only get two rolls of TP so might want to bring your own, same with garbage bags, and dishwasher tablets. Disposal of trash was less than convenient, was at the other end of the complex and didn't offer recycling. All in all it was adequate for our family vacation.

What a fun after Christmas vacation at the nicest Beach Club we’ve ever stayed at. Went to Vera Bradley outlet, the Christmas shop in Manteo, Claire’s, played bingo, ate at some yummy Christmas pop up restaurants, played games, caught up on our Serial Killer docs and laughed ALOT!

Not bad price, but poor views and uncomfortable

We had an ocean/beachfront room. We were located on the 1st floor and could only see a trash littered dune from our room. There was no view of the water or the beach, unless you consider a wall of sand, trash, and vines a beach view. The bed was hard as a rock. The lumpy pull out bed was slightly better, but there was no where comfortable to sleep. The floor was so sloped inside the room near that the front door that is was easy to lose your balance walking across the room. Definitely would not recommend for an older guest. If you have the blinds open to look out the window at the sand pile, then everyone waking by can see into your room. There are no private views of the beach. Housekeeping will enter your room in the morning of checkout before checkout time. They walked in on us naked trying to get ready. There was trash under the bed and under the couch there was a clump of hair and some potato chips. We have stayed here before, but will not be returning.

I am disappointed with Management my debit card was charged twice for the stay and I have not received my money back on my debit card yet! It was a terrible experience I doubt if I will ever stay there again. I never want to experience this again.
