The property was close to the beach. But the house keeping was terrible. The room looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. The dust on the fans was really bad and the shower had hair and what appeared to be mold and something smeared all over the walls. I definitely will not stay there again.

Title: Filthy, Unsafe, and Insulting Response – Do NOT Stay Here!

I have stayed in many places over the years, and this was by far the most disgusting and poorly managed property I’ve ever experienced. This place should not be advertised at the rate I paid — it felt like a $50-a-night roadside dump, not a $200+ vacation rental.

Here’s what I encountered:
•Black mold in the bathroom and even on the doors, a clear health hazard.
•Thick layers of dust coating the ceiling fans, window ledges, and even the walls — clearly no one has cleaned this property in ages.
•Lamps literally falling apart.
•The entire room smelled musty and damp, making it feel unclean and unsafe.
•Trash scattered throughout the backyard, including a dirty diaper just left behind.
•To make matters worse, there was an animal scratching inside the walls at night, making it impossible to sleep.

When I reported these issues to KEES Vacations management, they only offered a pathetic $30 “goodwill” refund, which is beyond insulting given the condition of this property and the amount I paid. It’s clear they have zero concern for guest safety, cleanliness, or satisfaction.

This property is completely unkempt and neglected. I will never stay at a KEES property again, and I strongly urge others to stay far away. There are plenty of clean, well-managed places to stay — don’t risk your vacation, your health, or your sanity here.

•This place is a health hazard.
•KEES management is dismiss

This property is overpriced. It was close to the beach which was nice. We weren’t given the code to get into the front door, fortunately another guest shared it with us. The room number was confusing. NHB104 meant we were in room 4. Again, another guest helped us figure that out. We had to request the WiFi password by text but were given that promptly. The facility is old. The jets on the tub were very dirty. There was mold on the shower curtain. There was peeling paint on the wall. Room was spacious. It worked for an overnight stay but not in the best repair and not the cleanest. Way overpriced.

I’ve stay here twice. It is a perfect couples romantic getaway. Our only issue was our tv remote volume didn’t work properly. It was never fixed during our stay. Since there is no one on site at all times there is a possibility if something comes up they may not correct it in a timely manner.

We received a text message with the info on getting in our room, however it did not have the door code for the front door it took us 45 minutes to get up eith someone to let us in. The text also said itvwould give usbthe wifi password but itvwas blank. The Inn was clean but they should have a better system of communication.

Great place the first stay not so much the second

Hello,

Just wanted to say the stay this time has been less than stellar. The tub keeps filling in a weird color, the Jacuzzi doesn't work, the room was at 80 degrees, the TV can not be set up, some of the amenities were already opened, there are hairs on the bed and the toilet doesn't flush properly. We booked this room for a lot of money and this has been reported to hotels.com as well.

Brooks & Dawn took care of us over the weekend with a Multitude of Customer Services Second to None. We have been coming to Naggs Head Inn for the last 5-6 years and the Tradition will continue if their Services Remain the Same! We Love the Naggs Head Inn and their Staff and will be back next year. Our 1 complaint that doesn’t effect this Survey is Our Shower Curtain in Our Bathroom was a foot to short and the floors were very wet which we cleaned up every morning. Buy a Longer Shower Curtain next time. Thanks from Mike & Susan from Chesapeake Virginia. See You Next Year!!!

The reason I chose the room was for the jacuzzi tub but there was no way to plug the tub and make it hold water; the plug in the drain was broken off and the knob that seemed like it may also stop the water did nothing. The deadbolt on the door of my room was missing. There is no way to close the bathroom door; the latch is missing and the hook that they put on in lieu of that is missing the I bolt. The ceiling of the tub looked like a crime scene splattered with something red. On top of all that, I had a loud neighbor until 1 am and there was no management on site to deal with it.

This was my worst Expedia stay ever.

The management will not refund my money.

The short walk to the beach was exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood was clean and we felt comfortable there. The ice cream shop next door was a nice bonus. The only downside was that the shower soap dispenser was empty and one lightbulb was burned out in the shower room. I wish we could have notified someone about that for the benefit of the next occupants. We really enjoyed our brief stay.

Great service on the phone from KEES. Very basic but clean and quiet. Queen deluxe had a nice mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker. No front desk or staff, but the cleaning people were very nice and helpful when they were there. Check in was a little confusing. Cleaning staff helped us and two other guests.

Worst stay Ever!!!!!!! Read my review in full.

Imagine, for a second, you spend $175 on a hotel room and then you arrive there after a three hour trip. You're ready to get to your room but find out the front door is locked with a pin pad and there's not a single human being on site to talk to. You have gotten zero instructions from the booking place and zero instructions from kees.

What to do?

You've already paid for a room and now you can't even get in. You contact your booking agency who tries to call their front desk only to find that they are so cheap they can't afford to put one there. An hour goes by and you're clueless. You scour the website and no instructions there. More time passes. Eventually you find a review that has the phone number to call. You call that number and speak to a rude person who doesn't have a clue. Finally, said person gets a clue and helps you inside. By this time you're so angry and pissed off and you ask them for extra towels and soap since there's none of that. Or shampoo. She says there's instructions in the room. You look around the room and find absolutely nothing! You take a shower and realize you're not getting more towels so you can't take a morning shower.

This could be you!!!

Nags Head Beach Inn Experience

Room was adequate. Unfortunately the jacuzzi did not work. Most of my issues involved check in. I should have received room assignment, passcode to enter room, and Wi-Fi password prior to my arrival. Unfortunately that information was emailed the next day. If it had not been for assistance from maintenance personnel who just happened to be there, not sure if I could have reached anyone via phone. The maintenance individual was very helpful and made a call for me. After getting checked in, the rest of the stay was good.

This stay has been very disappointing unfortunately. There is no one on site to assist us with questions or concerns. We were moved to a different Room at check in because the heat in the original Room that we booked was not working. That is fine, however when we were moved to the new room, we were given the wrong Room key number and we had to wait a 1/2 an hour to be able to get into our Room. We were not offered turndown service or replacements for the Keurig coffee in the Room even though we were spending 3 nights. The soap dispensers in the rolm were EMPTY...so we had ro go to the store to buy hand soap for use in the bathroom. We were not offered any fresh towels for 3 days and when we arrived the building was absolutely freezing! In addition, the shower was dirty, and actually had black hair all over the walls. I will not be staying here again, and had we not paid for the entire stay already, we would've left after the first night. This was supposed to be a celebration for my 40th birthday and I can say it was far from that.

Couldn’t get into room for over an hour. Had to call to get access codes (hotel didn’t email them to me until 3am). First code didn’t work. Called back. Told to wait for maintenance who would show up sometime. Told them that was unacceptable. Transferred back to reservations who couldn’t give me the access code to get in the room. Apparently only one person can do that. Finally got in room. Bed comfortable. TV tiny. Air conditioning inadequate. Had to take our garbage out of room. Check out earlier than other hotels. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Things I'd like to see improved upon...was not notified through email of keyless entry codes prior to arrival. We arrived and had no idea how to access the building or room. At first I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews from other people especially about how hard it was to check in but everything went so well. I contacted the Inn beforehand by email, which I suggest to do if you have any concerns, and they replied back to me promptly with all of the instructions on how to get in the building and into the room. I had no problems getting in and the room was clean and comfortable and included a Keurig and a small refrigerator. We even had a hot tub in the room which was a nice surprise. We were 2 minutes walking distance from the beach and walking distance from a few restaurants and grocery stores too. My experience was wonderful! I didn’t mind that there was no one there during check in and had no problems while we were there. They do provide a number for you to call in case something is needed and there was a housekeeper there in the mornings that I’m sure would have been very helpful if needed. I will definitely keep this place in mind if I ever go back to Nags Head.

Our unit lacked cleanliness.The floors both carpet and hardwood were not clean. We discovered the jetted tub on/off power button was broken. It was fully depressed and would not move. Disappointing! There were no customary bathroom toiletries (barsoap at the sink, etc) Does not Kees Vacation Resorts provide them at any of there properties?!?! This was our first experience with this organisation. We are not planning any future stays at this point. Sorry!

We enjoyed our stay at Nags Head Beach Inn. It was a very short walk to the beach, the room was very simple (but it was all that we needed). Food lion was right around the corner, so if we needed anything it was an easy walk. The downfalls were that the room didn’t have a refrigerator. We packed a cooler, and kept it filled with ice. We grab new ice at food lion when we were low. Housekeeping rarely came around. We were there for 5 nights, and our trash was never emptied. We had to ask for towels on one occasion, and that was the only time we got fresh towels.

Pros: close to beach, close to Food Lion, clean rooms, Keypad access (we liked this a lot! We didn’t have to carry a room card around), there is an ice cream shop right next door (And it is delicious!). The room is very close to the main road ( with all of the restaurants/shops).

Cons: no refrigerator (again, we used a cooler and ice. It worked just fine).
Housekeeping: they never came around, even with the house keeping sign on the door.
The bathrooms are small, but they are definitely usable. They have a stand up shower.

With that being said, we would definitely stay there again! We loved our family trip!

Perfect Weekend at Nags Head Beach Inn

I looked at the Reviews after I booked the Inn and some of the reviews about possible roaches and no support staff and smelling like Granny’s Attic. This was a short weekend trip for me and my wife’s 38th Anniversary and the reviews scared Me to death. So I told my Wife and we decided to see for ourselves. Folks if you are looking for someone to wait on you hand and foot this is not the place for you. But it turned out to be a perfect and cozy and extremely clean room with a Nostalgic Bathroom. Amenities are minimal like TV Cable and a Coffee Pot so we took a Large and small Cooler to keep drinks and snacks and took a couple extra towels. The Experience was shared by my Wife and We had the best time and the Inn was much more than I expected and honestly I loved the idea of nobody being there. If you do have a problem you can reach support staff with their 866 number which we didn’t need. We Loved it and I’m booking for November December and January and February and March. Great Price and only 100 yards off the Ocean and Centrally located between our favorite Islands, Hatteras and Corolla. Everything You need is within a 1-2 mile Radius. Kees Resorts Nags Head Beach Inn gets A 5 Star from us plus some. Thank You all for such a Wonderful and Memorable Weekend Stay and we will see you again in November!!!

Adorable little vintage style hotel. Excellent location within half a block of the beach, right next door is a very popular ice cream shop and within a block and a half there is a grocery store, coffee shop, and subway. Several other souvenir shops and restaurants within a little further walking distance. Could not have asked for a better location.
Hotel is definitely not a chain cookie cutter hotel. Super cute with rustic/vintage feel. Small TV that worked one day but only intermittently the next, there is no staff (that I saw) on site. (Disclaimer, since I was there for the beach and not the tv I did not try to get ahold of property manager to fix it). This is a very basic almost like an air b&b style hotel, not a lot of amenities but it more than compensates by being reasonably priced and in a perfect location. Location is within easy driving distance of Wrights bro. Memorial, Jockey Ridge state park, outlet shopping and so much more.
Overall incredibly pleased with the stay and would recommend this hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the location cross street from the beach a lot of good restaurant.
There is no front desk at this hotel no employees just let you know you have to call for check-in .

Overall the place was nice but in a 4 night stay we got no service to our room. I ended up having to call the second day just to have towels brought to our room. There are no employees at the property. Very disappointed with the service at this property. If you like clean towels to take a shower you may want to consider going elsewhere.

It has that classic beach look and feel. It’s very close to a grocery store and across from the beach. There is a very popular ice cream place next door. It’s very close to many attractions. Bring your own beach towels. We brought extra cups for the coffee machine and some milk in our cooler. There is a Stacks pancake house very close by too and Hurricane Mo”s or Fishheads for happy hour is 5 miles and 6 miles away! Close to wright brothers monument and museum.

Don’t be taken in by the pictures. The room was the size of a box. Barely room to even move around. No amenities to speak of. No one on the premises to talk with, just an 800 number. Fairly close to beach but no umbrella service like in pictures or info. When we went online to request it, we would have to pay extra. Definitely not as pictured or expected. Area is beautiful though and easy to walk around to food and beach.

It was advertised as beach front and I choose room with ocean view on the Expedia app. This was false advertising and I'm disputing the charge as I only pulled up to the property and the office was closed.
