Unannounced renovations that started at 9am. Drilling, grinding and sawing. Sounded like it was right underneath me. Shower faucet was coming off the wall and leaking. Tub didn't drain well. I alerted the front desk to the issue after my first shower on the first morning of my stay and it never was fixed. Room was fine other than that.

Room for the most part was clean and comfortable. The window was very dirty however and since this was an ocean front room, we were hoping for a clearer view of this amenity. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. We had to use two different elevators to access our room on the fourth . There was some type of plumbing work being done in the hallways and the walls were torn up and pipes exposed. Carpeting in the hallways and the stairwells were very sandy.

The ceramic floor is excessively sticky and produces noise when walking on it. Furthermore, the air vent in the room is very loud, making it difficult for us to sleep comfortably at night.

The breakfast met expectations. Friendly staff in kitchen. Room was very clean and comfortable with the exception of all the banging putting up molding. Front desk clerks need customer service training. Came in exhausted and asked to get in our room early. Was told I could not check in until 4pm. Two guys walked in, they were checked in and given the keys to their room. When I questioned the clerk I was told that was not what I saw. The black clerk was laughing and flirting with the two guys. Acting as if I weren’t even standing there. Another clerk came to the desk and told her to let us check in that the room was ready. I was being treated very unfairly. I have stayed at this property several times before but this was my last. Never no more.

We checked into the hotel on March 23. At check-in, the front desk asked for our license plate numbers. I explained that my mom and I had two vehicles since we traveled from different states, and I was told there would be a $20 per night fee for the second car. I mentioned that our Expedia booking said parking was included and said I would try to find other parking to avoid the extra $100 for our five-night stay. The staff explained that overnight parking nearby is no longer allowed.

My mom asked if the fee could be waived. The manager first offered 50% off, then agreed to waive it entirely since Expedia hadn’t updated the policy.

Breakfast was a buffet with rotating hot items like eggs and sausage, plus waffles, toast, yogurt, cereal, juice, and coffee. It was decent, but more variety like bacon or potatoes would’ve been nice.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and in a great beachfront location. When our fridge froze our food, maintenance replaced it within five minutes—great service.

Staff, especially Shoena and Eric, were very helpful. I’d stay again, just be aware of possible parking fees.

Staff at front desk were very friendly. We had two yorkies with us, so we were put on the lowest level. Unfortunately that level floor is near the boiler/ housekeeper rooms, and you can hear absolutely everything. The AC unit in the room next to ours constantly madea loud noise evry two minutes like a loud buzzer. The beds were comfortable, but the entire place is very dated, and in need of some TLC.

Room was definitely neglected. Stanton the curtains, a huge draft coming thru balcony door, the sink was clogged and didn’t drain well at all, phone did not work( no dial tone) and the door to the room would not stay locked. You could push it open from the hallway. They do eventually come and fix the sink and the door. Everything else remained the same. The staff were pleasant but hotel is ancient and dingy

Well other than it raining the whole time my girlfriend still got to go horseback riding,it was nice to just get away from driving the truck I'm very glad I signed up for Hotel.com it saved me some money that's always nice. I travel all the time,but it was a break we needed. The room was nice wished I would have gotten the beach side.first time ever I've been to the beach and not even walked on it.

We had a very good stay and all the employees were amazing except for the breakfast lady I think her name was Sean. She was very nasty to my daughter and her boyfriend. She swore and was upset they were getting food 10 minutes before they close. She started to clean before the hours were done and even stayed right behind them cleaning up after them with them still getting food. I was not there or I would have said something. I did speak to the manager about it but from what I heard she was nasty to many people. We knew a couple that had three young kids and she was nasty to them as well. The next day we came for breakfast early and she is juts nasty and needs some customer service training. My daughter was getting eggs and sausage so she came up right beside her to check if it needed more. The top was open so she didn’t need to do that or she could have waited. She also came close to elbowing my daughter as she was standing there to set down a utensil as she got her food. Also she was sitting down talking more than working at all for a good 4-5 hours.

Great stay for our family vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was amazing! Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The youngman that checked us in gave us a book with all the local restaurants and different activities we could do. The lady who served breakfast on Friday was so friendly and sweet, like talking to a friend. Our room was a pet friendly room. It was clean & right on the beach! Also on the first floor! Super accommodating for pet owners. Our favorite part was the back door that led straight out to the ocean. We enjoyed every sunrise with our 2 fur babies in tow and spent hours on the beach just a minute from our room!

Just not-so-good all around. Positives - The front desk was welcoming and the room AC was cold. The hotel is older, the single elevator is older. Our shower didn’t drain, and we saw plumbers working throughout the building and a flooded staircase. The laundry was all out of order. The breakfast was not good, especially the coffee (comes out of a machine). We were relieved to check out.

First time staying in this hotel. Check in was easy. Room was nice, nothing spectacular. Great location. Convenient to shopping, dining, easy walk to the beach.
Room was clean, but a little musty smelling. The stairway leading out had a terrible, stale odor. Bathroom was dark, could use better, or additional lighting. Decent stay for a few days away.

Our stay was just “okay”. You can tell this hotel needs some serious upgrade. The bathroom had mold in it and visible stains. It was really humid in the room and the air had to stay on constantly. There was a fan in the bathroom leading outside, which you could clearly see. That was disturbing. It also constantly cut off and on. The bathtub was so gross and grimy. The coffee was absolutely disgusting. Like horrible. Overall the beach access and pool was nice. Staff was super nice.

Pros: great location with good restaurants nearby, direct access to beach (shower head at the entrance which is nice), convenient parking, comfortable bed, friendly staff, nice small pool

Big con 1: room air conditioner needs to be updated. It doesn't work well. You feel it directly after passing through nice lobby. It's also very noisy. Sounds like airplane noise.

Con 2: room door is very hard to open and close because it's old. I understand that this is not supposed to be at the hampton inn level, but still some renovations seem urgent.

Extra info: breakfast is just okay somewhere between holiday inn quality and red roof inn.

I would be happy to stay again if the air conditioning is improved.

Great stay and even greater people. Hotels.com “booked” me a pet friendly room and when I got there to check in, there were none available. Luckily they were accommodating and let us have a regular room with our dogs still. Already talking about planning a trip back next year

Once a good hotel, now bad

Stayed at this hotel a few years ago and it was good, but has gone downhill since. Our room door was falling off the hinges, we had to bump it open and slam it shut every time we left or entered the room. The shower rod was drooping so the shower curtain kept pulling to the middle. We found a sock under the bathroom sink, so clearly the room hadn’t been cleaned that well. The bed was so uncomfortable my back hurt the entire trip. The breakfast was okay, very limited options though.

The only redeeming part of our stay was the service. We did not want room service during our stay, so the front desk gave us extra towels and washcloths. We also wanted to leave early (because the room was awful), and they let us change the reservation without penalty. Unfortunately, that won’t be enough to make us stay here again for future trips.

Beware of booking this property through Expedia. I booked an ocean view room and got a room that the view was the back of a building, not even a city view. When I talked to the front desk they were no help due to I booked through Expedia. In addition to the wasted extra money I paid, the room was bad. For 400+ a night I was highly disappointed to see a saggy mattress on the bed and the ceiling in the bathroom appeared to have water damage and a small hole above the rub. Hopefully no cameras but it was really sketchy. The only good part about this hotel stay was it was on the beach.

Ocean front hotel with free breakfast at a reasonable price. The first room we were assigned had a wet carpet and a visible belly to the bed. Staff quickly addressed the problem and moved us to another room. Front desk attendant was very friendly.
I requested grab bars in tub. They called to clarify if i required full roll in shower. When we checked in, they remembered my needs and made me feel welcome. Overall, a pleasant stay at a reasonable price in an area where accommodations are very expensive.
If we return to the area we would stay there again.
