Staff was absolutely amazing! From front desk to the shuttle drivers. Room was great size & clean. Comfortable bed. Hot water with good water pressure in the shower.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but included with the stay. The pool was closed for maintenance, but were able to use the pool at The Lodge.
Would stay again!

We traveled as a family and we really enjoyed the game room downstairs. It was one of the highlights of our stay. However, the video games were not working. The indoor pool was very nice and warm when we arrived and we spent some time there. Although, the pool was too small. The lobby and the room were very comfortable and clean with lots of nice coffee and tea throughout the day. The location is perfect for those who would like to be close to Whitefish downtown and all the shops. The breakfast was fresh and hot with meat patties, potato tatters, and egg biscuits. There was also yogurt and fresh cut fruit, along with a choice of fresh juices. We wish there was a little bit more variety for the breakfast, but otherwise it was very good. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here! Thank you! We will come back again.

The walls and floors/ceilings were paper thin; you'll hear everything. The person who checked us in at the front desk didn't seem to have much knowledge of the hotel; we asked for a non-adjoining room, and she gave us an adjoining one. We were on the riverside of the hotel. There were people, mostly teenagers, partying loudly in the pool and jacuzzi until they were kicked out at closing (10 p.m.). The hotel was older and shabbier than expected from the reviews and pictures. I'm not sure why it's gotten such wildly positive reviews.

We loved our stay here, we will definitely be back, the breakfast was great and had an awesome variety each day. The hot chocolate bar after skiing each day was such a nice touch, as were the smores kits in the evening. It was nice to have a ski room to keep skis that was right next to the front door for easy accessibility. The pool and hottub were so fun with the ability to swim to outside through a canal. Its so convienent to have the shuttle to the ski resort and train station. As well as the snowbus right outside the door!

When we checked in we were very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were being updated. That was thee primary reason for chosing this location. The clerk asked me right away if Expedia or the hotel had contacted us about the pool but neither company had. Had our granddaughter akong with us and like I said we were very disappointed.

The room was good and the rest of the amenities were ok.

Hotel was undergoing renovations to pool and hot tub, the fumes went directly into our room and smelled like a full can of spray paint exploded for our whole stay. Was not offered/given complimentary gifts, but observed others recieving them. Our room was directly off of the lobby area and could very clearly hear pots and pans crashing in the kitchen every morning for several hours through the wall. The parking lot was difficult to manuver and get in/out. If our room was in a different spot or we were told in advance the pool area was being torn up, our experience would have been much different. Would stay again in the future when it is completed.

We had a lovely stay at Whitefish Riverfront Hotel. The property is under some renovation, which had no real impact on our stay, other than that the pool and hot tub were unavailable. While this would have been good to know before we booked, the hotel offered access to the pool at their sister hotel down the road. The view from the hotel was beautiful. The room was comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located within a two minute drive of downtown Whitefish.

The hotel’s location is great—it's close to downtown, where many of the restaurants are, and it’s right along the river, which was a nice bonus.

However, the pictures on the website make the property look more updated than it actually is. The pool and hot tub area need both cleaning and maintenance. The walls of the hot tub were flaking, and there was a noticeable amount of debris and dead bugs at the bottom.

Unfortunately, the room also wasn’t cleaned properly. There was dirt piled up in the corner of the bathroom, random hairs in the shower, and a stain on the top bed cover. While it’s possible the room was cleaner than it appeared, it felt dingy overall, which contributed to the impression that it wasn’t very clean.

The breakfast had potential, but it seemed like the staff may have been short-handed. There appeared to be only one person handling everything—restocking food, clearing tables, and washing dishes. When we arrived, there were no clean plates, no eggs available, undercooked hash browns, and most of the table tops were dirty. We ended up going out to buy breakfast instead.

On a positive note, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful during both check-in and check-out. The hotel has the potential to be a nice place to stay, but it could benefit from some updates and improved upkeep.

Unfortunately there was an issue with the water in the room above me which resulted in noise at 5 AM, water on the floor of the bathroom and the water being turned off in the room until 7 AM.

The front desk person said that I had booked through Expedia and so there was nothing he could do to reduce the rate charged or anything else.

It would be up to Expedia to do something.

Pictures of the rooms make it look nicer than it is, Rooms need a facelift. Couch was disgusting. Not even my child wanted to sleep on it. Common areas are upgraded, which makes it deceiving. Hot tub and pool are quite dated.

Overall a good stay. Cleanliness could be improved especially in common areas/furniture. Hot tub was nice but also pretty dirty inside. The pool table and lounge area is a nice touch and fun for kids. Conditioner was out in the shower for the entire trip and room fixtures were super dusty upon arrival. Even after several room cleanings, the dust remained. Walls are thin and you hear every shower and your neighbors. We were unfortunate enough to have a screaming toddler adjacent that cried from 9-11 pm every night and then again in the morning time from 7:00am until about 9 am. That made it hard to sleep, especially for my own kiddo. No fans for background noise either. The hot chocolate and smores kits were fun for kids.

Unfortunately the outdoor hotub was on the fritz, during my stay one of the few reasons I choose this lovely little spot, right along the whitefish river absolutely beautiful. Can't imagine how awesome it would have been had I gotten the chance. They did offer me free shuttle ride to their sister property, so that was really thoughtful. The staff was phenomenal, especially Allison and every shuttle driver. The rooms were very comfortable and the building is well built and was quiet. Unfortunately the town of whitefish sucks something awful, the mountain is small but fun. I'll never be back , I'll stick to polson and Kalispell. Should I ever return , I will most definitely stay here. Great little affordable hotel. Especially if going to the mountains and don't wanna drive, it's very easy to get around. Just teach the locals some simple courtesy and manners. You'd be another Podunk town without your recreation.

The games room was full of activies! The pool table and shuffle board were fun. I also enjoyed the magnetic games that were attached to the wall, what a great idea! My kids also enjoyed the endless supply of hot chocolate and the fresh baked cookies were a nice touch!
The pool area could have used a cleaning, especially the floor. Other than that, it was a nice hotel and the location was great!

We had a lovely experience. The room was spacious and clean, which we really appreciated. While it could use a slight update in terms of décor, it was perfectly comfortable for our stay.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. We felt well taken care of throughout our visit.

Breakfast was simple but sufficient, offering enough variety to start the day on the right note. It wasn’t anything extravagant, but it got the job done.

The lobby has clearly been recently updated, and we absolutely loved it. It’s cozy, stylish, and very welcoming – a great spot to relax or hang out. It definitely added a positive touch to our overall experience.

All in all, we had a great time at this hotel.

The room and facilities were great. The only complaints I have are 1.
1. The Shuttle they have to the resort stops at 3:30 when the mountain closes at 4:30 for day skiing. All other resorts go up and down all day & night. The snow bus is terrible. We’re stuck up there waiting to get down until 7:30 because buses were full of people from all over town.
Other than that it was great. My daughters and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and friendly and met our needs and served us with a smile.

This was our second visit. There was an arrival gift for the holidays. We informed them ahead of time that we would be coming in early on the train and they granted us a very early checkin. That was extremely helpful and made a huge impact on our day. The smores kits were super fun. They had a hot chocolate bar next to the all day coffee many of the days we stayed. And fresh cookies in the afternoons. There is also a new gear room for the skis and snowboards with a boot heater and a table to tune gear. The pool was warm and the hot tub was hot. The game room is a great way to spend the evenings. The whole staff was kind and attentive. We had a lovely holiday there and hope to come back again to explore another season. I think a ping pong table would be an awesome addition to the game room but we love this spot and it has everything our family needed and then some. Thanks for making our first holiday away from home a great one!

Nice concept and friendly staff, with clean rooms, comfy beds, quiet nights, welcome treats, free laundry, good ski storage, and a handy shuttle (though it fills up fast). Unfortunately, several basics were lacking: often no pool towels, no gym cleaning supplies, broken outlets, empty body wash, an extremely uncomfortable pull-out bed, and a breakfast that didn’t match what was advertised. With better consistency and planning, this place could be a solid choice.

Property is much older upon arrival. Very nice staff but this is a hub for families and you could hear everything in your room. I could hear people walking down the halls and I could hear upstairs folks walking in their room and their shower go off. Really not ideal if you want a restful stay.
