I was told this hotel was in the mountains it was not !! the area and the hotel was very close to the airport. When we try to sleep at night, there was planes flying over our room, making a lot of noise. The area where the pool was was very, very small. Their breakfast was very, very limited very upsetting. The communication barrier was very very hard.

It’s a very unique hotel, love the decor, almost like a boutique hotel. I was shocked at the location at first in a small almost alley but after a day I was very pleased at how close everything is, there are a couple whole in the wall restaurants and a wonderful coffee bar/ cafe right down the street. So Thailand!! I highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful Chiang Mai experience! Price was very reasonable

First off, I just want to say my girlfriend was mad at me for picking this property mostly because of location-she'd lived in Chiang Mai for many years and knew the area. I honestly was impressed by the property, as it was clean and modern and the staff was very attentive and helpful. We got our room and although it was clean and modern, it had a loft bedroom. My knee was injured and I was unable to access the bedroom without much pain going up the stairs. I called the front desk and asked if they had any rooms with a bedroom on the first floor of the unit. They said they were pretty booked up, but there was an executive suite and they could offer it to us for an additional expense. I mentioned I had a knee injury and they said they'd call me back. When they called me back, they offered it to me without an upcharge and I was elated! My knee was happy to :) The manager had changed her mind after realizing I had a knee injury and potentially would not be able to sleep in the bedroom-she made the decision to help and offer a much nicer suite at no extra cost. This made my stay the best it could be and I want to highly recommend this property because of the nice manager and staff that put my well being first over making an additional profit. This is the Thai way, being nice and having a huge heart for us travelers. Thank you for taking care of me when I really needed it! Thank you!!

This is an excellent property in all respects except for the restaurant which has a very limited menu, only a few staff and closed 2 hours early the first night we were there. Other restaurant options require taxi to get there. It is very close to the airport which was why I had selected this hotel.

it felt like a private oasis for my boyfriend and me. We used the pool a few times, and nobody was there. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. Places are walkable, like 7/11, a 24-hour laundry service called Fluffy's Wash and Dry, and lots of cute and delicious cafes nearby. I recommend Fernpresso. Overall, I love this hotel, and I recommend it!

Very nice hotel but despite having a balcony windows fixed shut. Lovely large room and good AC. Vert clean and good facilities. Kitchen in room was nice but nothing in cupboards to wash dishes or to cook with. Small gym but no free weights which was a disappointment. Small pool area and little cafe was nice. A bit of a trek into town was the biggest drawback. But there was a free shuttle when it was working

Enjoyed our stay at this pleasant hotel. Staff were friendly and amiable - our airport pick up request had got lost in change over, which was frustrating, but they were very apologetic.

Bed very comfy. Breakfast was nice. Staff were always helpful in all circumstances. Area had good bars and restaurants a short walk away and conveniently located for the airport.

This hotel was really nice and the staff was very friendly. The only issue I had was that there are no power outlets anywhere in the bathroom or in the vanity area in the bedroom. Makes it very difficult to use any sort of appliances that we normally use in the bathroom. The pool was very nice, the staff was extremely friendly, and the hospitality was very good. The location is a little bit strange on a dead end little street, but the hotel is very nice and is a good value for the money.

I loved this hotel. I had a beautiful room with 2 baths,with a loft bed upstairs (bathroom 2 up there) Fridge, sitting area, desk and more. GREAT value and the staff were awesome. There is a restaurant on site (good coffee choices) and although its not busy(not sure why) the food is very good, great pad thai!

The staff has been amazing and treat us like VIP from the beginning to the time we leave. For example, security guard carried your luggage to the reception at check in, staff greeted you when you see them with respect and kindness, open front door for us many times when they were present. We were treated with 5 star service at this 4 star resort and never felt once they want anything in return. It is very clean and genuinely nice atmosphere. Restaurant staff were attentive and catering as well as the fitness and pool area. House keeping staff well kept and cleaned daily of our room with due care. We absolutely have nothing negative to say about the resort but to praise and recommend for anyone. Amazing experience that we were so pampered and very well done! Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!!!!

How is this property a 9+ rating and a 4-star?

The hotel is middle of nowhere and it is not a walkable street from the main road so we had to take a taxi every single time. But this is just the start...

There is no way this hotel is 4 stars and here are the reasons why:
1. When we first entered the bathroom it smelled like mold and we found out why. There was an entire row of black mold on the edge of the shower door. After our first night, we told them and they came to clean it during the day but again the rooms should be in clean condition before guests come in.
2. We found mold (again) on the wall, right below the AC, which is the reason why the room felt damp and moldy overall. We tried lowering the temperature but it still smelled moldy.
3. The bed felt like a rock.
4. Don't think the walls, windows nor ceilings are thick enough because we could hear someone dragging a chair at night, could hear airplanes pass by, and the guests across the hallway.

The only good things we could think of: were a clean lobby, nice staff in the cafe, and decent food at the restaurant. But overall, we don't understand how this property has a 9+ review and it is supposedly a 4-star hotel.

Although, when we got to our room we noticed tiny ants, when we told the staff- they were accommodating and gave us a new room, but there were still ants, however we didn’t complain because it must have been a building issue and sometimes you can’t control ants- they were tiny, hard to see, and didn’t bother anyone. Other than that, location was excellent and room and hotel were fantastic.

We loved the location of this property - right in between old Chiang Mai and \"New\" Chiang Mai and really easy to get everywhere. Even walking distance to a lot of things and great food. The facility is great and the staff is beyond amazing. So helpful every time we needed anything and checking in we felt like movie stars with such excellent service. We loved our room (1 bedroom mountain view duplex) and even loved the little bar/cafe located by the pool. We never did use the gym (we were walking so much we didn't feel the need to work out) but that looked like enough for those who wished to use it and the pool was nice and cool. We definitely recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again when we revisit Chiang Mai someday.

I like this little hotel for its quietness yet just a short walk to the main road to get your needs, The hotel also provides shuttle to main road & nimman area where shopping is. As this hotel is outside the main \"Old City\" , you still can feel the charms of Chiangmai. Love the pool in the hotel where you can chill as there is a the cafe there. The room is done up daily and very clean. Staff very extremely friendly !!!. Love it!

It was really good value and lovely but impractical architectural detail. But outside of Chaing mai old town. They say there is a shuttle but it drops you about 1/4 mile outside of the city gates.
The pool is a joke. It's like a pool in an underground car park. Freezing cold with 2 loungers in the freezing cold. The chambermaids did not do a good job and be warned the baths are decoration only as there is not enough hot water to fill them. The reception desk were helpful and charming. Especially Juthamas. Impossible to complain or speak to the management or owner. They hide behind their staff. The food we had there was very good.

Best service ever!!

This place was probably the best hotel stay of my life because of the service. They really went above and beyond. The room was unique and clean. It had a wonderful shower. The people working here were so incredibly nice. We planned an overnight trip to Pai and they arranged a motorbike and stored our bags for us while we were gone. When we got back they offered us a place to shower and a fresh towel even after we had long checked out. The pool area is so nice and relaxing and the coffee was great. They have a tuk tuk to take you in to town. If I ever come back to Chiang Mai I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Lovely hotel with very nice rooms and pool the air con is great!! Lovely view of the golf course and only a 5 minute taxi to the main area. We used grab as it was easy. The hotel also offers a shuttle service which is great. Check in was amazing and room was lovely on the second day and this is the only reason they do not have 5/5 we had been to a cooking class we got back to the hotel and got stopped by a member of reception and asked to wait in the lobby they said something about a broken plate in the room. We didn’t know what they were talking about wethen had to wait 15 minutes whilst they fetched the plate in which it felt like we were being Interrogated when they bought the saucer it hada tiny chip on it which could have been done by anyone after saying we hadn’t done it and another further 10 minutes they let us go and said it was fine. The trip would have been perfect but this actually ruined it having hassle and being accused of breaking a plate this is not normal behaviour in a western hotel you should keep this in mind as it caused a lot of discomfort and tainted our stay and trip to Chiang Mai.

Me and my friends, group of 5 visited this hotel and city for the first time on 26th October 2018. Very Conveniently located right outside the old city. Not so far away. Easily accessible, thanks to cheap transportation. We love the Tuk Tuk Van so much. The services are amazing in this hotel. The front desks, the door man and the staffs in the restaurants were very cheerful throughout our stay. Didn't see any staffs that weren't happy with their work. Genuine and pleasant. I would highly recommend those who are looking for a clean, hygienic and comfortable stay in Chiang Mai. For people worried about commute between the bazaar and riverside, I recommend you this place cos Chiang Mai is easy to get around. Great for solo travellers looking to pay a little extra for accommodations, mini business trips and for group of friends. I am definitely coming back to stay in Hydepark Chiangmai again!!

Great hotel, even better staff!

Location looks funny at first but then you see the hotel - looks amazing and you’re greeted by a clean modern (air conditioned) reception. The hotel Itself is nice. There are some downfalls - mainly just that it needs a bit of a refurb - the seal around the bath had mould on it as did the edge of the balcony.

Now. Onto the plus side. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. The pork fried rice and pad Thai was phenomenal. The biggest thing I’d like to comment on however was the staff at the hotel. Both the day and night shift were beyond helpful and went above the call of duty on everything. You want to make a call they’ll let you use their mobile. You want a motorbike? They’ll have it delivered to the hotel and collected when you want. They will literally go out of their way to help you. Really made our stay that bit more special!

This hotel was the best choice of our entire trip. It's really beautiful inside, super clean, but more importantly the staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Hotel is a little bit hidden but close to the city center. Internet was sometimes a little bit slow. We would definitely return to this hotel when we come back to Chiangmai. Just some small nitpicks

Room, staff, transportation provided were all 5's. It was especially helpful that the hotel offers two regular shuttles with pick-ups-one to the head of the street and another to Niemmenhaemind. Never had to wait. Gym was adequate for my purposes but entrenched gym rats may need a selection of free weights. Would not recommend breakfast as buffet is way overpriced and menu is only fair. Pool is not for lap swimming but taking a dip only. My only real complaint is the 3000 baht charge at the beginning of our stay to cover possible expenses for the week. Money will not be refunded to my credit card for fifteen more days. This is unacceptable for two reasons. First, I have never put down a deposit of more than 1000 baht and I have stayed at at least twenty different moderately priced hotels in Thailand. Second, every other time I have put down a deposit the charge has been held during the duration of my stay and the charge slip is destroyed when I check out. Therefore, my credit card never incurs a charge. Assuming the credit is redeposited in my account I will go back to Hyde Park as my overall experience was really positive but I hope management will reconsider the charge policy as it sets a really sour taste in one's mouth at the outset.

Clean, comfortable & quiet with pleasing ambiance.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyde Park Residence. The room was very pretty with a great bathroom - the shower was terrific - would have given it 5 stars but the bed was just too hard to be super comfortable. The service was terrific. Breakfasts were good with self-serve mixed with made-to-order from a pre-set menu too. Only drawback on breakfast was limited cereal types - as a cereal eater would have loved a granola/muesli mix but there were lots of other food options - the fresh fruit each day was very nice. The place is not too large and the staff is very attentive. We had some trouble regulating our AC the first night and they fixed it for us the first morning during an outing we went on - after they got us a nice taxi service for that. Later they arranged for a reasonable rental car also. The pool is small but relaxing - if you want sun you need to use it early in day though as it is shaded by afternoon - still, it was warm enough to make it worthwhile to cool off for a bit after a hot day sightseeing even being shaded. All in all a really pleasant place to stay while exploring the Chiang Mai area.

Nice modern hotel

Cant fault the staff. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Hotel only 8 months old so very new modern and clean. Food was delicious and pool was lovely.
However the beds were way too hard. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. No power point in bathroom for drying hair etc. and none near kettle. Needed an information booklet in room too.
Very close and easy to catch transport into Chiang Mai centre or trendy eat spots in Nimmam Road.
Overall a great place to stay.

Nice clean hotel

The room is nice and clean, the sofa a little small no tv in the bedroom and the floor is quite slippery, I would not recommend the duplex room for old people, it's quite hard to maneuver around though I need to give a credit for creativity but not the comfortability.
