The hotel is ok with a nice view. The bathroom has a slight sewage smell. Sound insulation is not very efficient. Outside the court yard some one always sing from afternoon to 10 pm, very loud.

Convenient location. Close to DongMun traditional market, black pork street and seafood street. Right in front of the hotel is a long pedestrian walk along the ocean. Hotel is good. Staff is helpful. Close to bus station. Walking distance to a supermarket and shopping area. A One suggestion is that the laundry should be opened 24 hours. As is now, all lights turned off after 10:00pm though the washers and dryers continue to work, you need a flash light from the phone in order to see after 10:00pm.

We also tried the breakfast buffet and it’s quite good.

Amazing breakfast buffet for a great price, also opens at 7:00AM (In Korea is not that easy to get food early).
The laundry room is pretty good, two machines for washing and two for drying, easy to use.
The gym is very basic and not meant for a lot of users at once, but gets the job done.
I came in late April so it was still too cold for the pool to be opened, so I can't say much about that.
The location is hard to beat, right in front of the ocean, Tapdong park, Black Pork Alley, Shopping center and a few blocks to Dongmun Market.
Room was spacious and kept clean. Reception personnl were all great and spoke pretty good English.
I stayed at a nearby hotel prior, but likely will repeat the Whistle Lark.
A tip: The hotel is called `histle` by the locals so try that pronounciation if your cab driver gets confused with Whistle Lark :)

When we checked in, that’s when we were notified that AC was not working due to spring summer time and we can open the patio door if you want the room colder. When you open the door, it’s loud outside. People are yelling, talking, and singing, and no way for you to have a rest during the day and early nights. I will not go back.

Great location. However in springtime, there is no air conditioning so when the weather got hot and humid, there was no airflow in the room. I opened the sliding door but it can get very nosy outside from the plaza - people singing karaoke wirh loud mics plus the airplanes. I wished I had known this before booking.

Whistlelark was the perfect place to stay for 3 days due to its location to the market, close to the pick up place for tours, close to the airport ($7 by taxi), very clean rooms and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend. We had the doble deluxe with sea view which was enjoyed from the small balcony.

My room was the best state out of all the people i was traveling with but it did have a funky smell in the closet. My other travel buddies all had stinky sewer smell coming up from the bathroom, even with the door closed it was hard for them. Some had to tape the sewer area to keep the smell away. Also walls are very thin. If you are a light sleeper this may not be the place for you.

The hotel was facing harbour, and an hour far from the airport.

The room was comfortable, but the sea view that I booked not exactly facing the sea, bye side sea view. This was abit upset as different from my expectation.

The staffs are friendly and allowing me to store luggage before check in time.

Not purchase breakfast as having McDonald and a cafe nearby.

Great central location, with an ocean view. I do calisthenics in my room, so I appreciated that the floor still had carpet on it (although I understand why many hotel rooms do not). However, the internet was spotty, which was very frustrating when I was trying to attend an online celebration of life for a dear friend who had recently passed away.
And my pet peeve: why were there no black tea bags in the room? Not everyone drinks green tea...

Perfect stay for our big family in Jeju. We loved staying on this side of the island. The location is close to everything (fresh seafood, dining, shopping and sightseeing).

The rooms are very clean and we loved sitting on our balconies watching the boats in the morning and evening.

We all enjoyed the hotel's breakfast buffet. All 11 of us could find more than enough things to eat and drink. The hotel's restaurant was very good too. It had very large portions. We also loved the fresh baked goods at the cafe.

We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the WhistleLark hotel to anyone staying in Jeju

Spotless clean room, excellent professional staff, great breakfast buffet & evening dinner. Short walk to large E-Mart, Black Port Street, McDonalds & Dunkin Doughnut. A wonderful view from room balcony, the perfect view of the ocean to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. On future visits we will certainly stay at the Whistlelark Hotel. Place was okay to stay. I didnt like that the place they put us in we were not allowed to change the temperature of our room and it was always on heat. I would ahve rather have it on cooling. Also when we would open the door to our terrace you could hear the very loud noise of the street. It was difficult to sleep at night due to this (heated room and noise from the street) beaides that place is super close to the famous markets and many dining options. It was a bit difficult to communicate with the staff too. Besides that everything ok

We stayed for 4 nights. It was an adequate hotel. I booked it for the pool, but unfortunately it was closed in April (I think it's only open July-Sep). Room was spacious. We could not get the room cool enough as we were told by front desk staff there was 'no AC', though we could see the AC unit in the room but just had no ability to turn it on (it was always 22-23C and we like to sleep at around 20). No toothbrush/razor/typical amenities of a 4 star. You just get coffee/tea, water bottles, and shampoo/body wash. Good location in Old Jeju City and was good value for cost. Walkable to black pork street, along the coast, and Dongmun market. In the future we'd consider staying in New Jeju City.

Only stayed for one night, as we arrived in Jeju late afternoon and didn't want to drive at night. We had a hire car and was able to find free parking next to the Hotel. Check in was smooth and quick, no issues. Room was a decent size with 2 queen beds and and but a little tight when we have all 3 of our luggages opened. Our room had partial water/city views and small balcony with a coffee table and 2 chairs. Our room carpet has stains so I didn't feel comfortable or clean to walk barefoot inside. Bathroom was clean but shower walls are not 100% private. Shower glass panel facing the bedroom is frosted with a blind, the hallway glass panel is just frosted. Short walk to restaurants near by.

The property was in disrepair and was dirty. Towels and bed sheets were frayed. Welcome mat to hotel lobby was ripped and a tripping hazard. Almost tripped every time I walked in. Also, front desk staff emphasizes that damages or broken things in the room will be charged for, but the bed room table lamp is broken already. I had to call and tell them at checkout to make sure they didn’t charge me for something in poor condition before my arrival. Glad I only stayed one night.

We were there for one night and checked in around dinner time and gone by 9:30am the next morning so didn’t get to see the whole hotel or check any amenities. From what we did get to use, parking was not easy and no parking attendant to park my car in the underground after 10pm or self serve option like the last hotel, probably should provide guests with disposable slippers as the ones that were in the room didn’t look very inviting. I would give this hotel another try to check out the area.

They advertise the pool overlooking the ocean and the rooms being really nice but when we got there, the pool was closed and emptied which is weird because it is June. Also the rooms had hair everywhere, we were peeling hair off of our feet. I wasn't happy with this experience.

I feel this hotel is old school and male dominated (boys club), only saw one female staff. I stayed on the 17th floor for 3 nights, gym was located above so I could hear banging noise. Room was dark, bathtub leaked water, toothbrush was provided but the cleaning lady kept throwing them away and I had to reopen a new one, not sustainable. Dated but it's good enough
