The standouts for this place was the service and friendly staff. The most comfortable bed ,great shower pressure and was quiet. The family room did feel closed in without having a window out to the street.The gym was a let down with only one small bench and some free weights,but did have a good treadmill.

Hotel staff were super pleasant and helpful. We had our cell phone stolen while out and the staff helped us deal with police, try to locate the phone, and file a police report. They also prepared a full breakfast for us at 6:30 AM so we could catch our flight, even though they normally start breakfast at 7:00.

Loved it. Best hotel throughout my entire four week tour with 7 stops including two 5* hotels. The staff go way beyond their duty to ensure you’re comfortable in every sense. They’ll source local food to your liking with top recommendations and they’ll give you top tips of the local area and beyond. They’ll also have a laugh and a joke with you because they’re not only very professional but they’re also fantastic human beings and very lovely people. All of the staff including porters, housekeeping and the wonderful people at reception made my stay here very comfortable and interesting as they booked taxis from the airport a d trips also. With Their vast local experience and expertise they were able to advise on local and international cuisine. They helped with smartphone apps to provide helpful links for local transport and delivery meals, they also explained the the local food and gave recommendations to my palate. A tourist / traveller is very limited to services during The Lunar New Year (Tet) as local people enjoy the period with their families and most of the city is closed but at least you’ll be able to cross the beep beep road without too much beep beep haha. Thank you Luxury Old Quarter for a wonderful eight days stay. Oh, the breakfast is the best for Eastern People in all of Asia!!

The room looks great and comfortable bed. Staff are kind. I would recommend when cleaning the rooms to check if anything was empty to fill them. Our hand soap container empty when we checked in but once we told the cleaners they did it away. We had 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights. Older hotel but in the heart of Old Town Hanoi and close to everything.

The hotel is small, blink and you’ll miss it, but quite lovely. Delicious breakfast.

The staff. What a lovely group of people. Honestly, the team there was so nice! Helpful & kind.

While Old Quarter was chaos outside - inside was tranquil and the staff made all the difference.

Pro: the staffs were super helpful. They gave us recommendations for dining options.

Convenient location, walking distance to various local restaurants.

Cons: room was small, which I guess is common for old quarter areas.

The A/C took a good 12hours to get to 16*C - I like the room to be cool so it was annoying, especially the electricity was shut down when you’re out of the room during the day.

Bathroom was ok, but it would leak because only half of the bathtub was cover. Probably needs a shower curtain. Overall, it needs some upgrade.

The fridge was barely enough to keep your beverage cool, and it took a long time too.

I think I get what I pay for. Since it was only $40 /days for the triple room in downtown Hanoi. However, I think I would rather pay some more for a bigger & better room.

Pleasant hotel in Hanoi

Staff were superb: very helpful, kind, friendly and spoke good English. Hotel location is great: close to sites, eating, shopping and Hoan Lake. Stayed here twice. First stay was great as the room faced the street, had a good layout and had large windows. On our second stay, the room was long and narrow. It was fine but unique. I would recommend this hotel as I would stay here again!

Was fun to walk out onto a bustling scene everyday. The staff were outstanding, kind, helpful. Linda helped us book an outing to Lan Ha; Chloe and Cha were just wonderful.
One thing: Expedia lists a pool at this property. There isn’t one.

BED BUGS!! We checked in and service was good. Your bags are not secure if you drop them off while waiting for a room to be ready. We took a shower as soon as we got in our room and noticed black mold coming out of the jets in the tub. Then as we walked to the patio door, we noticed black mold around the caulking of the door. Then we found BED BUGS on our mattress!! Went downstairs and found the lobby with all the lights off and staff sleeping in the lobby couch. Asked for another room but they were entirely full. They were nice enough to come change out our sheets. But then we noticed underneath the mattress was filthy dirty. We asked if we can just pay for the first night and get a refund for the other 3 nights but they refuse to give us the refund. HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY SENSE!? Your room is filthy dirty and infested with bed bugs but we still have to pay for it? Its called luxury but it has zero things luxury about it.

Room was clean & well equipped. Theres a small gym on the seventh floor. Location was super convenient, in the center of the old quarter, close to the night market and many restaurants. What made the stay exceptional was the staff.
Saffron was friendly, attentive and super helpful. Made us feel very welcomed and so did the rest of the staff. They also arranged airport drop-off for us which was super convenient. (recommend doing that rather than getting a taxi). Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Hanoi.

This is an amazing hotel with exceptional value and a wonderful location. We got there mid-afternoon and the front desk gave us a full overview of the city and where to go, which was really wonderful. We were only supposed to stay there one night, then go to the Halong Bay, but my husband got terrible food poisoning that night. The hotel worked with us to provide us with a room, then even moved some things around so my husband didn't have to move rooms. I was extra grateful this sickness happened in this extremely comfortable and lovely hotel. Would most definitely recommend!

Front desk was great and helpful re cabs and we were allowed to leave baggage when we went away on an overnight trip which is very important in this region. They do need to fumigate in the breakfast room to ensure there are no ants around food.

We picked old Hanoi because lots of choices of restaurants, not a far walk to the Prison. Our room was comfortable, however, the bed was against the wall on one side, thus made it difficult to get out of the bed, plus it was low to the floor. AC worked great, breakfast, you could get eggs to order. Several places to take your laundry within w@lking distance from hotel. The staff wanted to please you.

They mixed up my reservation with someone else's and made me move room several hours after checking in. Did not apologize.

I don't understand because they took a copy of my passport and saw my name.

At first, they argued that I only booked 3 nights instead of 7. I had to show them proof, which they didn't believe.

This is not the way to treat customers in my opinion.

When I wanted to upgrade, they wanted me to pay more than if I had booked online.

The Executive Suite is a very comfortable and classy room to live in!

I really love the hanging decorations they designed and the balcony view is nice. They prepared the wine and plenty of snacks on the table. I wanted to give this a full 5 stars but I was hold because the lady receptionist was not friendly (no smile) upon our arrival. The balcony floor is quite dusty. The water temperature sometimes can be hot and cold abruptly.

Excellent hotel, great price. Staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic, not many options and there was no staff around, but eventually someone came out and asked if I wanted anything, so I asked for an omelette, which they made for me. The location is excellent, it is right in the middle of all the action in Old Quarter, so lots to do and see in the area. Can easily walk from the hotel and just wander around the town. Great area, very interesting. Lots of food, shops, even the lake and water puppet theatre, all nearby and easily within walking distance. The hotel is newer and in great shape, and everything was very clean. It was cheaper than most hotels in the area and for the price I think this was a great deal. The room was small but cozy, and there was a smart TV so I was able to watch netflix and amazon prime! My only issues were that there is no parking available at the hotel, and the staff made me take my motorbike down the street and pay to park instead of leaving it out front overnight. But it is very close by, an easy walk of only 1-2 minutes, and very cheap to park overnight, only 40k VND. Not a big deal. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for the money and overall a great stay.

Excellent customer service from all staff. Staff will even come right out of the hotel to help unload luggage etc on arrival on the street without any prompting. Only minor issue for me to give one notch less than perfect score is that the water pressure on the highest floors tend to be a little unstable, ie this causes the shower to have cyclical hot and cold moments. So best to be careful and not turn on the shower to be too warm else you may get a scalding.

We have stayed at the property before and this time we chose to upgrade to a better room but we were disappointed with the room.

The walls had mould on them and there was mould around the window and the room felt damp. We mentioned this to the front desk and they were aware of the issue but didnt seem concerned about it. We asked if there was a possibility to move rooms and the lady said she would look into it but we never heard any more about it. We probably wouldn't stay there again.

On our arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a Deluxe Room and given tips about where to go and what to do in Hanoi by the Manager. The hotel happily minded our luggage overnight while we went on a cruise around Howlong Bay and on our return were given another upgrade to a Suite for the remainder of our stay.

A very nice hotel in the Old Quarter. The warmest and most thorough check in, ever. Manager could easily work in a five star hotel. I sat on a lobby sofa sipping a welcome drink while she explained the city to me on a map and made tour recommendations with no pressure. The complimentary upgrade was the icing on the cake. Room well decorated, lit, and clean. WiFi was decent (managed Netflix with few problems) and the room was sufficiently quiet given the hotel is on a noisy street. Hair dryer will take a while if you have long or thick hair. The only suggestion I have is to leave instructions for operating the room safe. I booked a Viola cruise to Halong Bay through the hotel after much back and forth in my mind. The quality was just about on par with that of the hotel, but if you have time, do 2 nights instead of 1. Sensitive stomach but no seasickness!

The staff were great and really helpful. Conditions were great. The hotel is really new and clean. And this has to be the best place in any city in Vietnam. Totally awesome.

Only one drawback for me. The internet did not work properly from my room, that was my only shortcoming. Many internet sites were too slow to access at all. They could be accessed from the lobby, but not my room. For many people, it is not important. But for me, it just happened to be important on this trip. Otherwise, all else was excellent.

The hotel is in the old quarter and is perfect to get to and around the back packers area, many restaurants nearby, close to the lake..The staff were amazing and very friendly. The room was very clean and had some great features like multi socket plugs to fit our European plugs (we had converters with us too), there was also free water and tea with a pretty pricy mini bar but there's a super cheap shop next door to get beer and stuff.

Everything was great! The best was definitely the staff. Can’t not rate them high enough! They were so helpful and friendly, and spoke perfect English. We stayed one night before our Ha Long bay cruise and returned for another night after. The staff kept our excess luggage safe, and even organised our laundry to be cleaned. When we got back from the cruise, everything was perfectly stored in our new room.
The room itself was nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety.

The staff were extremely welcoming and very friendly. They helped us with everything we needed. The young reception lady helped me so early in the morning. My check out went smoothly and she organised the taxi to the airport very well, and with a lovely smile too.The breakfast had a good variety. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent Halong Bay tour from staff. Great servcie!

The hotel itself is nice and new, but we faced a few communication issues that made it a little less enjoyable for us. We booked one overnight trip at Halong Bay in the middle of our stay. Bed was comfortable. Bottled water, tea and coffee making facilities. The petals on the bed and in the bathroom were a nice touch. On returning from Halong Bay we stayed on the 4th floor. This room was bid and clean. Breakfast was fine. Highly recommended!

Big room, comfortable

Located right smack in the Old Quarter, there is much buzz in the area, and a 10 minute walk to the lake where you can find lots of food. The room was generally clean and we had a jacuzzi tub, which we enjoyed frequently during our stay. Breakfast was alright, where you can order pho. Overall, quite okay.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect. They had asked if there was any special occasion during our visit and I told them we were celebrating my parents wedding anniversary. They decorated their room with balloons, rose petals and tea lights. It looked amazing. They also gave us an upgrade to our room so we could be near. Their attendtion to detail makes it 5 star. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. The staff were genuinely desperate to please. Location was Excellent.

Amazing and service!

Amazing. We were upgraded at the Exe suite (room 601) which was great. Hotel is very clean. Staff is really helpful. Special point for the breakfast : nice menu and very good food with nice presentation. Lunch can be ordered the night before to get it faster. The hotel helped with car booking to go back to the airport. Good service here also with driver on time.

The strength of this hotel was location which is located in the centre of Hanoi and the attitude of the staff was very nice. Plus the room was also nice and tidy. Absolutely the best! Can’t wait to go stay here the next time I’m back in Hanoi!

Beautiful hotel

I had a great time staying in this beautiful hotel, conviniently tucked in one of the side streets of Hanoi. Tthe staff were really helpful to me, giving me hints on where to go and how to stay safe. The daily breakfast buffet is amazing, situated on the top floor with a great view. I recommend this hotel to any Hanoi visitor!

Its located at heart of old quarter, yet a quiet alley on night. Hotel staffs are well training and really helpful. Especially Martins who ran out from the hotel asking me if i need their help when i was about to go out during raining. Wide selection for tasty breakfast. Will recommend this hotel to my friends and definitely come back again!

Amazing Hotel

This hotel is located near the lake and market but yet at a quiet lane. It's very comfortable and clean, we had good relaxing time here. The staffs are very helpful and filled with passion to serve. Thanks to the three sunshine smiling girls at the breakfast area which also add on value to the holidays. We had a surprised gift for souvenir and breakfast to take away since we leave for the airport very early in the morning.

Fantastic hotel and staff

This hotel is in a fantastic location walkable distance to everything and around the corner from the night market. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and helped us arrange transport out to sapa and Halong bay tour. Hotel room is very clean with excellent breakfast. The best thing is the staff who are very friendly.

Great hotel; friendly and very helpful desk people. The room was enough and had everything needed. The bathroom was great especially the shower. And the bed, Heaven, memory foam! AC/Heat, Great! Breakfast, great! This is a really great little hotel.
