While our room was clean, there were deep stains on various furniture/walls from previous customers. There was no AC or fans, those would make customers more comfier on hot summer days. Having the pool open would allow a more enjoyable stay from customers with kids, again for the really hot summer days. Having both in AND out abilities on ALL the doors would be a plus.

BUT the staff were really friendly, helpful, the food ood was great, parking was excellent.

Overall it was good, we would stay there again.

This hotel has seen better days. The picture of the front entrance is not at all indicative of this tired old gem. If you value you value the undercarriage on your vehicle avoid the parking lot! In a word dumpy not worth the cost. Hotel is at the end of a runway. Likely not ever to visit again...

The only thing positive about our stay was the lobby and the new white towels and bedding.
The rooms were dirty, shabby and worn out .. curtains, carpet, furniture you name it!
Door locks didn’t work, thermostat didn’t work, TV remote didn’t work, bathroom fan didn’t work,
Breakfast was disappointing. Certainly not as advertised.
The property was covered with cigarette butts and huge pot holes.
I would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone.
I am surprised that Expedia even promotes a place like this and even more surprised that it’s Ramada by Wyndham.

The scrambled eggs looked like they were used for two days and then the potatoes did... didnt even bother with the waffles pillows smelt like dirty hair so i had to put my sweater over it and there was no body wash the staff and maintenance man that cane and changed the batteries in the safe late on friday jus before being able to take off for the wknd

I’ve stayed in many Ramadas over the years. They’ve always been a solid choice. This was the worst I’ve ever experienced by far. It’s old and run down. But even then, if the staff was positive, friendly and helpful you could overlook the other stuff. Not my experience. Also heads up if you have mobility issues, there is no lift. Lots of stairs. And many long connected hallways to get to the room.

Dirty hallways, leaking rusty ice machines, mold in the bathroom, broken couch, saggy bed, dirty sheets, the breakfast; uncooked scrambled eggs, dried out sausage, leaking coffee machine, questionable food safe practices with dairy items and pastries, screaming residences, shady long term people. I booked and paid for 2 nights cost $420 total and I only stayed 1 night because I was so exhausted from traveling however I could not leave fast enough in the morning, of which upon leaving and walking to my vehicle I saw someone shooting up right outside the front door and as I approached my vehicle there was someone trying to get into my vehicle. DO NOT STAY HERE, JUST BECAUSE ITS A NATIONAL NAME BRAND HOTEL IT DOES NOT MEET THE RAMADA STANDARDS OR ANY REASONABLE SAFE AND HEALTH PRACTICES.

This place was filthy. Chuncks of dirt in the halls and dirty walls. All ice machines broken. Signs falling off walls and left on floor. No amenities. No blow dryer in room, non available at desk. No bottle opener available at desk. Rooms are in poor condition. Dirty. Rusty. Smell like smoke. Ripped towels. The staff were very pleasant and doing their best considering the work conditions. They tried and were responsive.

The actual room and bathroom were clean. The common areas aside from the lobby were not well maintained or clean.
We had viewed the hotel on a Website that claimed it was a 3 star and had a pool and hot tub and showed pictures of these. So we were disappointed that the pool and hot tub have been closed for 5 years. The breakfast was unremarkable. On our second day we skipped it. It was quiet during the night and we slept well. It’s now the second day since our stay and we are still waiting for our email receipt to arrive. If we ever visit Thunder Bay again we wouldn’t choose this hotel.

The room I was in had stained comforter, cracked glass on the window, the phone didn’t work to call front desk, the alarm clock didn’t work, there was bottle caps on the floor. The breakfast was powdered eggs and gross. I made a complaint and they were able to put me in another room which was slightly better, however, the base of the boxspring was covered with yellow stained dirt. Staff were friendly and helpful, however, hotel itself was very poor condition. I checked out the pool and it had about a quarter full of water. Disappointing to say the least.

Parking was confusing and took a bit to find where we should park in relation to our room. The room was so dirty I didn't want to shower as I thought I might pick something up. I am an asthmatic and had a hard time breathing all night, my son was up half the night itchy, we found in the morning mold on the wall by the window. I alerted the front desk upon check out. Overall not a good experience and I won't be back. I feel the room was definitely overpriced.

We chose this hotel as it was mid-range price. The staff are awesome and helpful. It is always so nice to be met by people who are genuinely warm and caring.

The property itself is very tired, very dated. There is plenty of garbage around in the parking lot. It does not seem to have been cleaned up at any point recently. The carpet in the hallways is covered in pieces of garbage, it really needs a good vacuum.

The beds are EXCELLENT!! What they have replaced is great! Other than a comfy bed the room is lacking. The bathroom fixtures and walls and floor is very dated, chipped, in some places falling apart.

The buffet breakfast was a very pleasant surprise and the food was fresh and well attended.

It was a noisy hotel for our stay, noise continuing on until nearly 3am both inside and outside.

There is an authentic Mexican restaurant on the property. The food is spectacular!

If you don’t mind the noise, don’t mind the dirt, don’t mind the price you will have a good sleep.

I will start this off by saying the front desk staff that was on duty during my check in was polite and did the best to find a solution to the issues.

Upon checking into the first room I noted the sheets had burn holes from cigarettes on the tip sheet and the fitted sheet was also soiled with unknown stains. The second room upon entering i immediately turned to leave due to smell... it was then i had noticed a thumb print on the wall beside the door that looked to be blood. There was also a giant glob of something ground into the carpet of that room. See photos. Sheets are of room one stains are of room 2.

I did finally end up getting a suitable room that was clean. That room if i was given from the start this would be a completely different review. I am glad i got the first 2 rooms as i will not be supporting this establishment in the future regardless of the prices of the room. This hotel should be under 100 per night.. do better management. Wyndham you should investigate this property as it is a stain not only on the sheets and floor but on your brand.

I would avoid this hotel and either stay somewhere else in the city or drive an hour more and stay in a cute motel on the other side of the city

The check-in staff was very friendly and did his best to accommodate our reservation. We had a very spacious suite. You can tell the hotel was once very nice but is now very run down. Pool was not open, and we were there 4 days and did not receive any cleaning services, garbage collection, or clean towels.

The room was mostly clean adjacent except for the dirty coffee maker and someone's leftover takeout left in the fridge. Also pool looks permanently closed. There was no breakfast. There was no shuttle to the airport. The toilet was clogged when I arrived. When I looked at the pool area I could see filthy old cooking dishes in the kitchen with bacon remnants which I found odd as as mentioned breakfast was not available as advertised. The staff when available was attentive.

Hotel generally is dated and in need of upgrading(there was no handle on one of the exterior doors!) room was okay and the bed was good, room accessories were a little dates, remote barely worked, channel selection was very basic. Hot breakfast, scrabbled eggs, bacon, mini waffles, sliced potatoes/onions, good coffee, but only white bread. Entrance and breakfast areas were cold and dated. Lots of parking and multiple entrance to access rooms, with most lower level rooms have direct outdoor access.

Microwave provided but not plugged in only option would be to unplug fridge,tv. Receptacle was behind a large armoire with said tv and fridge in that.
Lamp on bedside table had 2 receptacle but not conveint when working at desk.
SIgn out front said renovated? Furnishings clearly not part of that, mattress, carpet and wall paper only updates in the room i had. One postives staff all pleasent and helpful. Resturant attached great Mexican food.
I travel to Thunder Bay 2-3 times per year would not stay at this property again.

The entire facility is stuck in the 1970's. There were holes in the doors, broken electrical sockets, filthy hallways, horribly filthy room carpets and i really did not appreciate having to take a shower only to find someone else's pubic hair all over the shower walls. This place needs a total revamp or just razed to the ground.

Checking in was quick. The room was terrible it smelled musty the curtains had rips in them We have one bath towel, no soap and when I found someone they said they would see what they could do to get us more towels. More towels and soap was delivered. The bathroom condition is old and disgusting the tub had huge chunks out of it and rust on the tiles. We felt dirty the entire time we stayed one night only thank goodness. The parking lots was dirty and our door looked like someone tried to break in chunks missing. I will never stay at a Ramada property again

Pot holes in the parking lot large enough to damage a vehicle. Whole building needs a complete overhaul/update. Windows especially should be replaced and yes I realize the cost. Stayed here (Airlane) many years ago in it's Glory Days and it has fallen a long ways. Lobby looks great and a decent breakfast but rooms require updates! Not good value at $200 per night.

My stay at the Ramada in Thunder Bay was honestly disappointing. The property is very old and poorly maintained. The room and bathroom were not as clean as they should be, and the noise level between rooms is terrible — you can hear everything from the guests next door as if they were inside your room. It’s hard to rest, even after 11 pm when it’s supposed to be quiet.

The breakfast was also a letdown: very greasy, with almost no healthy options available. There’s also a strong smell of smoke in the lobby, which makes the place even less pleasant.

Transportation is another issue — there’s no Uber or Lyft in the area, and very limited access to public transport.

The only positive aspect was the friendly staff at reception, who were polite and tried their best. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to make up for the overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The lobby staff was so lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable.

The hotel has not been renovated for a while, so it has a ragged look. Hard to tell how clean it was because most things had dents or chips on them.
