The parking isn’t ample, you’re on a residential street and depending on which day you park, if you get a spot, you’ll get a parking ticket. The area isn’t very nice, the room was awful. It was small and dirty with no amenities. There was no water pressure so having a shower was arduous and you’re woken up every morning either by the manager screaming down the corridor at ‘Miguel’ or by the people in the houses either side screaming at each other. The corridors stink of weed, other patrons were super loud. It wasn’t at all as advertised. I stayed for two weeks (by accident) and they never changed my sheets or emptied my bins.

Only good bits are that the staff are nice to the guests and the local town has some nice places to eat and drink.

You get what you pay for at this location. The room was basic, a bed and a bathroom. The TV didn’t work well. The staff was accommodating. The parking situation was problematic but the manager did move his car the first night that I got in so I appreciated that. The location was safe and it was close to some coffee shops and restaurants.

This property is not as presented in its photos. Yes parking is NOT provided, but there is NO street parking either. The closest parking was 2 blocks away. The area is what I would describe as unsafe. 2 gentlemen making an illegal transaction in front of building. I tried numerous times to call property and beg to allow us to cancel, but no answer AND Hotels.com was no help either. The Vagabond down the street was able to help us thankfully. There hotel was not much better BUT they were so helpful and safe!!!

If you are thinking of stay at this motel . Don’t. I have seen 3rd world bottom of the barrel room that are better than here. Didn’t stay after the 1st hour . One word spiders and bugs . Also the shower had model and black smears around the edges .
Tried 2 rooms but the second was worse than the other .

Motel 6 San Pedro CA. Parking: horrible; however we took a Lyft and didn’t have to worry about it. Clean. Staff were super friendly. If you need to crash for a night before your cruise, it’s a nice 1 mile walk to the port. Beds were comfy. It’s Motel 6, don’t expect anything more than a sh*t, shower and shave and good nights sleep. 😴

The room was very dirty, there was so much dust and dirt that we ended up leaving our shoes on and sleeping in our clothes. Very concerned for safety and unfortunately no alternative place to try to find as we arrived close to midnight and needed to be somewhere before the cruise the next morning. We ended up leaving as early as possible and walked to the cruise port just to get out of the neighbourhood which had various individuals living in their vehicles parked on the street etc. Do not recommend this property

I must say I did not expect much from a room but at least I trust Expedia to bring this hotel to community. I was wrong. Street was unsafe with smell of animal feces that no one wants to take care. No parking but not hard to find one around. The room was not clean and full of mold smell. Staffs are ok, the room keys failed so many times that me and my husband was fighting each other due to the inconvenience of overalls. Please stay away if you have a better option

Pictures of a pool… what pool?? Pictures DONOT represent this hotel! Though close to the port area is dirty and smelly. This is only a bed before sailing. Our room ripped curtains, used windows that didn’t fit - don’t trust these booking site’s descriptive pictures or comments.

My wife and I got a bad case of bedbug bits over our body. We were there for three days waiting to go on a cruise trip.
Our trip was totally disrupted and embarrassing not being able to participate in activities and wear exposing clothes due to all the red bits up and down my arms and legs.

The gentleman at the front desk was great, he let me check in early at 145pm or so despite official check in time is 3pm. The room we got was a king bed room. It was neat and tidy, very basic bare bones kind of room. No bedside lamps, no shampoo or conditioners. No kettle or microwave. There was ample small bars of soap provided. Less used places was a bit dusty though, like the headboard ledge, the little open cubbies on the side tables and desk. But it didnt bother us too much since we didnt use those surfaces, however, it should be dusted though. The floors looked clean but after awhile, you can see the accumulation of dust to the bottoms of my indoor sandals, and my sandals are brand new. So i wouldnt recommend bare footing it. Otherwise, i do give it 5 stars for my stay as it was what I expected. Its close enough to the cruise port without needing to pay the premium, about 20min downhill walk. Affordable and perfect for a one night stay before a cruise for my husband and I.

Room felt old and rundown. No basic amenities like ice. Bedding did seem clean but not ideal. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. My wife was not comfortable from the beginning and was a bit afraid of the neighborhood. It least it was somewhere to sleep before our cruise. But that was about it.

The picture shown for the property is not accurate.
We ended up about half a mile away in a residential area that appeared to be a halfway house with an old Motel 6 sign hanging on it.
There were water stains and mold on the ceilings.
The woodwork around the windows was rotting.
The window A/C unit was filled with dirt and cobwebs.
The bathroom counter had peeling paint and swollen, damaged particle board.
The provided soap had been used, rewrapped, and left for us.
People were coming and going throughout the night.
Overall, it was the worst place I have ever stayed.

Jesus Christ is the WORST Motel 6 I have stayed in for the past 30 years there was no parking I spent over an hour driving around looking for a parking spot and when I did I had to check on it every couple of hours there was no vending machine to get something to drink I had to drive to a convenience store to buy something to drink lose my parking spot in the pictures of the property showed a pool there was no such thing my room wasn't that clean there was a traffic of people doing God knows what parading down the hall there was no elevators I'm quite surprised that the Motel 6 franchise would even contemplate such place as one of their own the noise was so bad that I didn't go to sleep till 5am when the noise subsided that I was almost late checking out

This is a very basic property-we needed a place to sleep getting in from LAX at midnight, boarding a cruise ship the next day. The room was clean, bed linens clean and the desk staff were very nice and helpful. You can walk to the cruise port-it’s about a 20 minute walk. Uber from LAX to this motel is about $82 USD It has a “boarding house” feel to it and our room backed into the main stairwell…not overly quiet…value priced and I felt a fair price for what it was.

Location is not in a safe location. The check in person was either high or drunk, definitely not of sound mind. Lobby smelled like a porta potty. The room was disgusting. I have stayed a cheap motel/hotel before but this by far is the worst. The windows were all open when we walked in, not the curtains, I mean the actual windows. There was blood stains and hair on the sheets. On top and under the covers. The head and side boards were broken and hanging crookedly. The bathroom was filthy. The towels had yellow and brown stains on them. I cannot believe this place is operating. The health department needs to shut them down. We decided to leave. The person at the front desk didn’t even remember us from 10 min before.

We were right by the front door with the staircase attached to the wall of our room….all the way up. We heard everyone coming, going, checking out…etc.. we didn’t sleep much. But the location was good for the cruise docks. The room was cheap, and I believe pretty clean. The hotel is stuffed in a neighborhood, so you hear dogs etc…And there’s no charge for parking, because there is none. Thankfully we only had to part two plus blocks away.

There is no AC or pool. Our reason for staying at this Motel was due to location to the cruise ship port. The staff are very friendly, the room and bathroom were very clean and served our purpose for the one night we spent in LA. Just so you know there is no elevator in this Motel so be aware- a few steps up to the main floor and then more steps up to the second floor.

This is a little jewel .9 miles from the Cruise Ship Terminal. It has nicely remodeled baths, was very clean and well kept, and the staff is delightful. This will be our go-to from now on for pre-cruise stays.

Booked 2 rooms to stay the night before our cruise left in December 2025. Terrible place to stay even for just a bed for the night. This hotel should NOT carry the Motel6 name! 1 room had no soap and roaches. The second room bathroom had mold and the vanity was falling apart. Also the tv didn’t work with missing outlet covers. Overall the place was just severely unkempt and falling apart. No amenities at all. No coffee like motel6 claims. Do not go for cheap!! Pick another place!

We are disappointed because our booking was different. When we booked at that time it was a big frontage with motel 6 .
It turn out to be in some kind of housing street . Left and right are single family dwellers. No swimming pool where your site said with pool. No coffee in the room . A tiny room , likely morning have coffee in the front desk. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just that for price of c$150 we expected a better stay. This is my very first mistake in booking hotel , always check 300% before placing a booking . Likely , the staff help to carry our luggages up over 10 step to get to the front desk. There is no elevator, likely they book us on ground floor. As we have total of 4 luggages.

The staff was super accommodating! I showed up at noon from my flight and they held my luggage (seemed sketchy coming from the maid to put it in an abondoned bathroom, but hey!) it was safe while the front desk guy was out to lunch and check in wasnt until 3pm so I could tour around. I even called to make sure front desk knew it was there and I was to check in. He was super friendly and ease my mind about just leaving it there, even told me to take my time, enjoy touring hollywood and see me when I get there.
The outside is not super attractive but the rooms were super clean, nothing special but great water pressure!!! The bathrooms could use a shampoo and conditioner for travelers because they only had 1 tiny motel bar of soap. A mini fridge to hold my leftover supper and water bottles would have been a much appreciated amenity that was missing also!
Biggest issue is the neighbours, they are so close the houses beside that with my window open I felt like they were in the next room or could hear us the same way but what really can you do about it and also could have been just my specific room because the building longer than it looks and has a second floor I didnt go up.

The staff it was very helpful and even allowed me to doi an early check in (with a fee) and woke up early for my check out (7am) . However the corridors were smelly and the carpet was full of dust and like dog hair (like wet carpet or dog smell), the room was smelling funny too (like bathroom) so i had to go out and get a spray and also ventilate the room. The AC was dusty and bit moldy. THERE WAS NO POOL

This Motel 6 was very misleading. It’s actually a house turned into a motel with almost no lighting and street parking only, which wasn’t listed. The nearest spot was three blocks away with a 9 AM move requirement. The manager was rude and unhelpful when I asked for a refund. Definitely would not recommend — felt unsafe and falsely advertised.

This property was not wasy to find on MapQuest the address read Los Angeles so Lyft thought the motel wascin Downtown. There is no ADA approved entrence for the lobby. The room had no microwave and rhe door to the bathroom did not close. In all the motel was substandard to the othwr Motel 6 I have stayed at.

Website says “pet friendly”, which I guess is code for fleas. Bathroom was so tiny the door wouldn’t open more that 18 inches without hitting the sink.

Motel is in a safe and quiet neighborhood with multiple restaurants within walking distance. Interior is modern and pretty, and the room was extremely clean. Staff were friendly. My only issue was the flat pillows, I would recommend bringing your own pillow. The bed was average, could have been better, but tolerable. Street parking is difficult unless you park early in the day. Overall, an excellent budget option! I would happily rent again.
