The room was homey. Dog area's great. Our A/C broke and we melted the first night. I also had to get a toilet plunger from front office because the toilet backed up and almost flooded the bathroom. I would stay again though. They fixed the A/C and I took care of the toilet for them. Staff was great. Areas was great for surroundings/ access to everything.

The front desk was a person on a video screen in the lobby. I had to change my reservation due to a mistake I made and the language barrier and not having a live attendant made the change impossible. The room was never made up. The shower did not work properly, the lock did not work properly and the list goes on. After we made our reservations, we were told we would be billed an additional 10.00 for parking We were told they would investigate and get back to us. They never did. Their customer service was the worst I have experience I’m my 50 pulse years of travel

I booked a couple's stay here for my birthday last weekend. It was excellent. My experience was great, far from the negative reviews I read about prior to booking. My room was exactly as it was pictured. Very clean, modern, cozy, and safe. And very quiet! The location of this motel is very close to all the places I visited(Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf), and in walking distance to restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The customer service, outstanding. Reasonably priced as well. Deserving of 5 stars.

Did not have an easy time checking in. Instead of speaking to someone in-person at the front desk, there’s a video kiosk where I struggled to understand a remote worker through bad audio speakers and a lagging video connection. The kiosk wasn’t scanning my ID properly, had to wait for them to reboot the system. Then the door code to our room needed 10min before it would work. Karin, the front Desk clerk made our stay perfect. He was very kind and knowledgeable and made check-in a breeze. Any contact with him was met with a smile and an immediate positive result no matter what we asked of him. Upon check-out we left an Apple computer charger with cord and some toiletries in our room. Karin bagged them up and held them in a safe place for two days until we could get back by to retrieve them. I have been in the hospitality business for over 30 years and Karin was the type of employee you always hope to hire. Kudos to him for making our stay a superior experience. The hotel, although nothing spectacular, was very clean and provided the basic necessities along with a very well-stocked comm on area in the office for things such as coffee and tea. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly for the traveler looking for an economical place to stay in the Monterey/Seaside area.

I paid just under $100 for this hotel and it felt like it was 300. The outside of the hotel looks a bit outdated, but it’s not a super tall building so you don’t really expected to be super fancy on the outside. But the inside was remodeled fairly recently and it is very nice. They have great amenities and the customer service was exceptional. We took a trip to Monterey to see the aquarium, it was a very reasonable distance away from everything else. This is a great hotel for the price. I recommend it for anybody.

The room had two queen size beds. Both had broken down mattresses that offered no support. All housekeeping services have been eliminated, and guests are asked to get their own towels, etc. from a cabinet in the main office. The bathtub had no bathmat in the tub so the tub surface was very slick and a falling hazard. The water pressure was very low and impractical for a decent shower. The walls are very thin and we could hear our neighbors upstairs stomping around all night. We could not sleep due to noise and broken down mattresses. We were scheduled to stay two nights but left early and only stayed one. There was no refund of course. This hotel does not even deserve a one star rating. We will never stay here again.
