Clean, security good. Location slightly off were most would want. It’s reasonable value for money. Great for shorts stays 1-3 nights max. 4 star but at the lower end. Pay a little more and you can get better 4 stars with better location and more holiday feel.
Staff friendly but can over do the niceness a little.
I would stay again but only for shorter stays.

The hotel was nice and friendly, located in a good general location too! Pool was nice and refreshing, gym was pretty small and standard but still useable. Only downfall was no balcony or opening windows so the room became very damp. Especially because the bathroom fan wasn’t very strong to suction out the steam of the shower as well. Overall good for the amount of nights we stayed/price we paid

Over all a good location friendly staff but the food is not very good it’s on the dryer side. The people on our level were slamming the doors and yelling all night as well as switching rooms and making the alarms go off and it was very irritating.
There was one cleaner who was absolutely amazing and I never got their name but they wore orange lip stick.
It was overal not a bad experience but it could of been better, I found it annoying how all the lounge chairs by the pool are broken in some way, nice to havere your water replaced daily as well as room service though and being greeted with a purple tea was very nice too

En mi estadía en Tailandia, este ha sido el peor hotel en cual me he hospedado. La habitación sucia, el baño y el techo tenía mood. Las toallas que parecían ser blancas, eran color crema de lo sucias e empercudidas que estaban. Las sillas de la piscina muchas estaban rotas. El cristal súper sucio. Los azulejos de la piscina muchos necesitaban el cooking. La verdad que este ha sido el peor hotel por lo sucio que lo tienen, asco daba estar ahí. Otra cosa, al parecer el dueño es de la India, porque el restaurante tenía un menú indú y habían muchos, pero muchos huéspedes de la India por lo tanto el olor a curry era muy fuerte.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff. We are heading back to phuket before we leave and likely will be booking journey hub again. About 15-20 minute walk from beach and close enough to night life to have fun but far away so you can have a quiet nights sleep :) let me add the rooftop pool and patio was AMAZING. Laundromat and 7/11 right next door

Me and my son went in the pool and found that our eyes were stinging a lot. Not sure if they use something different to chlorine or if they over used it although I couldn’t smell chlorine.

The biggest issue at this hotel was being woken up by reception staff.

On arrival at the hotel I checked in as normal. They took photocopies of my passport etc. when booking on hotels.com I sometimes pay in advance or when I stay depending on choice by hotels and cash flow.

I was shown to my room with my 12 year old son. We settled in around 3.45, went to the pool, ate and went back to the room for around 6.30pm. We had such a late night the night before and a trip that day I went to bed around 8 after my shower. I woke up to my son playing his phone around 9pm momentarily still in a good sleep. I told him to come off the phone and got to sleep which he did. I then heard noises again and told him off still in a descent sleep for him to say it’s not me it’s the phone. I asked him to answer it as it was on the other side of the room away from the bed. He came off and said the reception said something about the booking but didn’t understand what.

I said we will sort tomorrow and go to sleep. At 9.45pm I hear banging at the door. 2/3 lots of knocking in thinking they will go away as I’m in sleep mode… they didn’t they continued to knock 5-6 times shouting.

I spoke with the manager that apologised and offered 1000bart discount for a second night.

I couldn’t sleep until 4am after.

Hotelzimmer war sehr dreckig und wurde nicht richtig sauber gemacht. Die Klimaanlage war andauernd defekt und machte extreme Geräusche. Das Zimmer war komplett feucht und mit Schimmel befallen. Handtücher waren mehrfach nicht gewechselt oder vorhanden im Zimmer. Allgemein war das Hotel sehr runtergekommen.
Für mich war es der erste und letzte Aufenthalt.
Kann auch nicht glauben das dieses Hotel 4 Sterne hat.

The staff were amazing and very welcoming! The rooms were a good standard followed by the restaurant and pool area. Not too far from the shops, restaurants and clubs, but a good enough distance to get quietness and peace. Overall a great 6 night stay, really makes a difference when all the staff and manager look after you! Would definitely stay again.

Nice small hotel in Patong, a bit apart from Bangla Road but close enough to shops, restaurants, and the beach (about 15-20 min walk). Great breakfast, nice pool bar with a view. The rooms are a bit small but good enough since you are trying to be outside most of your day. Cold A/C and hot water. Excellent price!

Nice hotel but not so nice area

The journeyhub is a relatively modern Pleasant Hotel and the rooms I come packed but have I bar fridge, hair dryer, LCD TV with reasonable English-speaking channels oh, tea and coffee making facilities and a shower with reasonable water pressure.

They don't provide slippers, bathrobes, or dental kit.

The rooftop pool and bar area are pleasantly designed unfortunately there isn't much of a view from the as the area surrounding is rather Rundown.

The bar is nearly always empty because the drink prices are absurdly expensive where they charge 240 Baht for a Corona but which is about $12 50 Australian which is more than what you would pay in Australia in an expensive restaurant. Some common sense would tell them if the prices were reasonable they might get people using the bar.

The entry to the place is rather uninviting and reception is up on the 8th floor, and the area around doesn't have much to office IU looking at the Battle 15 minute walk to the jungceylon shopping centre, restaurants and bars.

The beds across Asia are firm and here is no different, but in some hotels they uncomfortably hard where as here acceptable for westerners.

The hotel itself was nice although it was about 30 minutes walk from Patong Beach. The bathroom had a pretty horrible smell and a little bit of mold.
It is still good value for money as the swimming pool is quite nice and they offer transfers to town.
Also no room service.

Over all average hotel, breakfast was very poor, staff in the kitchen need to be trained not friendly. I must say the lady that cleaned room 525 was brilliant. Would I stay there again probably not. Don’t think this is a 4 star hotel.

Not bad, but hard beds and poor location

The Journey Hub is a modern Hotel but unfortunately it's location is not so good as it is it's in an isolated area with not much around except for a 7-Eleven. Reception is located down a rather unsightly alley. Then you get the lift and go out to the 8th floor where reception is.

There is no mini bar or mention of extra charges on hotel websites but reception charge you a deposit. The rooms at a reasonable size & include a queen size bed which is rock hard so you don't get a good night sleep. There isn't any sound proofing as I often woke up listening to chairs and things being dragged across the floor on the level above me. Due to the hard beds I would wake up after a few hours feeling very sore. There is also 2 bottles.of free water, a sofa, a desk, an electric jug, tea and coffee making facilities, a bar fridge, a hair dryer and a safe, and an umbrella.

The bathroom is a reasonable size and the water pressure is reasonably good but unfortunately the water temperature fluctuates from scalding hot to cold all the time while you are trying to have a shower.

Housekeeping is okay but could do as soon Improvement because they do not clean the glasses that you use.

The rooftop swimming pool and bar are good. However they drink prices were very high.

The staff are friendly and there is also a gym with some free weights and machines, and there is an on-site restaurant.

It's approximately 15 to 20 minute walk depending to get to the Junceylon Shopping Centre

Overall it was comfortable for the price and the rooms were put together nicely, but every inch of the room smelled musty including the pillows and linens. We are at the restaurant only once, it was very expensive for a mediocre meal - and note that the pictures they use on the menu are nothing like what you will get. At least a 15 minutes walk from the beach and nightlife and the minimum taxi rate is 200 baht so it gets quite expensive having to cab everywhere. The pool area seemed nice but was under construction when we were there. It is about what I would expect for a hotel at this price.

The room smell terrible we had 5 rooms and they all smelled like sewer the pillows were humid making it very uncomfortable to sleep we had to tell the front desk every morning how bad it smelled, they also tried to change me for a pillow case because my pink bathing suit left a light stain on it that could've easily come off with clorox..one good thing was tge food it was very good the pool needs some cleaning as well.

The location is great, less than 5 mins drive to Jungceylon shopping mall. It also quite near to Bangla walking street, the walking street is full of pub, bar and club there. There is a minus point for this hotel, there isn’t any nice dinning resturant within walkable distance. During night the room is quite noisy as there are loud music playing from the pub nearby, as the music is lower after 1am (forget about the timing). The hotel is clean and new as I believe this should be a new building. Overall this is an enjoyable stay for me

The hotel.

The hotel is newly built from the time we stayed there (4 or 5 months old). The taxi drivers had trouble finding the place, it's that new.

We had an amazing experience staying at the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, it's a lovely contemporary looking place. The hotel provides you with bottled water every day and daily free drop-offs and pick-ups to the close by Patong beach.

Our only dissatisfaction with the hotel was that our room was not fully cleaned once during our 10 day stay. The bare minimum was done which included the usual changing of towels and making of the beds and that's it, but no proper cleaning.

Quite disappointed with that aspect but other than that, I have no other complaints and would definitely stay there again.

Good hotel with ups and downs

Came here with a group of friends, probably unlucky as my room had insects all over the bed on the first night. Complained and was upgraded to a suite with a complimentary stay with laundry and room service for 2 nights. They also immediately called pest control and evacuated the room. Reception staff was friendly but one of the housekeeping boys were quite rude. General Manager Mr Guy of the hotel is a top class manager, really made sure we enjoyed the rest of our stay. They have a really nice restaurant and a great infinity pool. Would recommend and come back to stay at this hotel in the future. Hotel is about a 15minute walk from the action.

I loved our stay at this hotel! They just opened on November 1, 2017 (I was there middle of November) so everything is new and clean. The restaurant has beautiful views with lots of windows, plus bar seating outside. They have an infinity swimming pool outside that has lounge chairs, and again, incredible views. The only issue we had at all was in finding the exact location, as my online maps had the wrong location listed. We had a taxi driver call the front desk for us and that solved our problem. The staff is nice and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel with great roof top garden and pool. Room was perfectly cleaned every day. Staff is very kind and helpful. Shuttle to Patong beach. Great breakfast buffet.

A bit hard to find since there's only an elevator at ground level. Reception is at 8th floor.

We stayed one night at this hotel on April 14, 2025, as a stopover before continuing our journey to China after two weeks in Thailand. We didn’t stay in Phuket but chose this hotel solely for a one-night stay before our flight. I strongly advise against booking this hotel – it was a real disappointment.

The common areas were dirty, and the breakfast was absolutely unacceptable. Glasses and cutlery were not clean, and the food served was so unappetizing that we didn’t eat anything at all. At first glance, the rooms seemed okay, but upon closer inspection, they were also dirty. Superficially cleaned, but far from truly clean.

What’s most shocking is that the hotel claims to have four stars. How that is even possible is beyond me. The pictures presented online do not reflect reality, so don’t be fooled.

I’ve traveled a lot and stayed at many different types of hotels, but this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. Sure, it was cheap – but I’ve learned my lesson. In the future, I’d rather pay a bit more to avoid an experience like this.

Hotel was a little bit outide the buisy city centre. Staff was nice and polite.
Room was nice and decent. bed was softer than standard bed in Thiland. Did not the the breakast. Gym was small. Only a few equipment.

7/11 closeby. maybe 15 minute walk to bangla Road. Did not use the rooftop or pool area. Could ctay for 1 night again. Would not spend longer time.

Hade bokat om igen, alla dagar i veckan!

Blev välkomnad på ett trevligt sätt av service inriktad personal. Vi skulle visserligen endast stanna en natt på hotellet så fick inte ta vara på tiden på hotellet särskilt mycket. Men jag hann åtminstone njuta av poolen i samband med en fin solnedgång. I framtiden skulle jag inte tveka på att boka Oakwood igen, då de hade väldigt trevlig personal, fint och städat på hotellet, rummen var i bra skick, rymliga samt hade bekväma sängar, och till sist en väldigt bra frukost.
