Nice hotel in Pantong Beach, Phuket. Room was good size with sitting area and balcony. Shower was nice good water pressure. 2 robes and slippers in clothes armour. Ropm scent was nice. No condition but shapoo and body was was very nice and fresh smelling. Body lotion had a strange smell to it. Bed was horrible. If you have stayed in guest houses in Thailand, then you will understand. It felt like the hardsest know cardboard known to man. My hips and should hurt all night. Made me keep turning due to pain of presure. Lobby was mice pool was cool looking.
Biggest draw back was when I wanted a bucket of Ice the front desk dires me to the restaurant. Where I was charged 80 bht for ice. Yes ice, that melted in the room faster than I could make drinks. By the sodas like coke were 40 bht. A large bag of ice at 7-11 was 40 bht. This shows how out of touch some places can be.

They charge for everything - issue with extra key that their staff removed and they wanted me to wait till they looked for it. They made a big issue about it, but over all the hotel stays was very good.

This property is old and needs updating along with the pool area. Lighting and water pressure of the rooms are a shocker!! put it this way I had to use my phone light to navigate around the room and the water pressure wouldn't wash the sand out of your hair. Location well there's much better. The staff were very polite but spoke very little english spoken.

Reception team for both check in and check out are sorely lacking in almost every way possible. No logic for the THB1,000 deposit and to make people wait for the refund. Apart from that the room was clean and large. Decent location which is away from the noisy parts of Patong and is a 15 minute walk.

Close to Patong central areas. Daily breakfast was terrible - don’t go after 9 (closes 1030) they don’t keep replacing food and limited options.
No umbrellas for shade in pool area.
Beds are hard as a rock although they did provide a topper when asked.
Front reception is terrible - no customer service skills.
Spa is not staffed and ready for service had to wait for 30 mins for staff to arrive and then had 3 staff sit in spa talking whilst having massage.

I was really impressed with the staffs, they are very kind and helpful, specially Gun, the manger in the dining room, always very pleasant and ready to help, she really cares about her customers. The staffs in the lobby are also great, very helpful and friendly specially Aldulraman, very friendly guy and very helpful. Overall, I had a great experience at Bauman residence and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Patong.

Stay at Bauman Residence, March 2024.

Good hotel for this price. Great location in Patong- easily walkable to the beach, shops, mall, Bangla Road etc.

Hotel is clean and rooms sizeable. Mostly quiet, although some noises in the corridor late at night when people return from the bars (sometimes with 'visitors'). A/C in rooms is good and effective. Overall good.

On-site restaurant is decent and food is of a good quality (although you'll find a wealth of cheaper and more varied options walkable from the hotel).

Staff are friendly and helpful. Standard of English is mostly good. I did have trouble arranging transport from the airport on arrival but this is not a problem- you can easily get a taxi from outside the airport when you arrive (fare should be 800 THB as of March 2024). Arranging a taxi back to the airport at the end of my stay was easy with reception (fare was 900 THB).

The pool area is large and secluded. However, it is ageing and needs some care and attention. Lots of chipped tiles and the water was murky and not as clean as I would have liked. There is a small problem with pigeons, who sit on the surrounding balconies and sometimes defecate into the pool below. This did not prevent the majority of people swimming and certainly is no more dirty than most seas and rivers, but if you are sensitive to this sort of thing this is something to bear in mind.

Overall this is a good hotel for the price and I was satisfied with my stay here.

First of all it is NO WAY A FOUR STAR.
I would put it 2.5 Star hotel.

Reasons:
1. Bed were pathetically hard. Bedding were thin and poor quality

2. Amenities were mediocre
- No coffee maker
- No iron,
- No microwave
- Low quality soap and shampoo

3. Extremely hard and uncomfortable beds to sleep. Got back issues after spending 4 nights.

4. Hotel is noisy and rooms doesn't go dark with so many lights from AC units

Service:
WORST among all. We reached there at 12 PM. We were told that you will get room only at 2 PM even though they were ready. They made 9 guest waiting till 2 pm to give rooms. Not enough place to sit in lobby. At 2 pm all 9 were now in queue to get rooms which took full 30 min more for us to get keys. Hotel will not consider it late.

Deposit was asked in CASH. You have carry your receipt to take refund back. This is only one hotel where I saw this. This is scam. If rooms are not given without cash deposit then why you need to carry receipt till last day to get cash refund.

Worst choice to stay, choose somewhere else...

The hotel staff barely speak English. Considering the lack of both communication skill and hospitality spirit, Bauman Residence is one of the worst choice on Patong beach. I could have list all the uncomfortable experiences, but it would probably be waste of time as both the hotel staff and managers didn't care about the customers at all. I would rather choose backpacker's hostel instead of this place...

The hotel is just about 20 mins walk to Jungceylon. The location is great. The pool and gym are nice. Rooms are reasonable in size and clean. However, the toilet need some cleaning especially the shower cubicle and it’s great if the hotel could install a rack for guest to put their body shower and shampoo in the shower area.

There are renovations going on outside & tarp in front of hotel not appealing at entrance. The room is clean but outdated, no iron provided & air conditioner works but old. The bed is hard, hallway is very dark & restaurant is okay. The swimming pool is nice & large like a lazy river.

Clean, comfortable with all amenities one can expect in a 4 star hotel. Very good service: upon check in I found out I had a broken door electronic signal. The staff fixed it right away. Very tasty and affordable breakfast. Safe area, close to the beach (10-15 minute walk). Good WiFi. Highly recommend!

I did not like the driver from and to the airport. First driver could not speak english, not friendly. Second driver driving very reckless and could not speak english.

But i LOVE the hotel. Just what i needed. Big room. Enough amenities. A/C good. Swimming pool very nice. Breakfast buffet also good. Receptionist, waitress, bellman and concierge all super friendly.

Get ready for HARD BEDS... but apparently they are hard in most hotels
The Staff were great... we became like a family with most of the pool bar guys, the dinning room manager and waitresses....

ONLY MASSIVE complaint is BREAKFAST... dont expect good coffee, juices are all powdered.. GROSS...
WE NEVER drank with breakfast.

It is a little far out from the hype of patong beach, thats a matter of what you want though. We didnt want to walk everyday. so we caught tuktuk everyday.

but we love thailand, the people are great, friendly... alittle pushy on the streets but that just adds to the whole hype of Patong.

Decent stay, not too far from Patong beach (around 15mins walk) and you still get the quiet surroundings. Halal options are available in the breakfast buffet.

Options to arrange for taxi to the airport and for sightseeing are also available (though we didn't take any for sighseeing). Motorbikes are also available for rental in the parking space of the hotel (but the lady asked for the original passport as deposit, so we didn't rent one).

Hotel looks quite outdated nothing like what you see in the photos, Very hard mattresses and worst thing is they look excuses to change you extra. At the check out they charged us 100 baht for a small spoon which they couldn't find it in the room. Overall disappointed experience.
