We had a wonderful family stay at this apartment-hotel which is centrally located in the heart of Patong barely a few minutes walk to the beach with everything happening around it. Our 2-bedroom apartment was massive and grand with every creature comfort supplied. The staff is attentive and courteous. A special mention for their breakfast and the open air dining area which was the highlight of the mornings. We would definitely come back

Loved our stay here! We received a complimentary upgrade to a bigger room that had a private access to the pool. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was spotless with comfortable beds. They have an app to allow for easier communication which was very convenient for anything we needed. The location is great because it’s a few minutes away from a lot to do and a ten minute walk away from the beach. BYD felt like a home away from home and I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be close to Patong again.

Amazing stay!
The hotel was extremely clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable throughout our visit. The staff was professional, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed.
The location is perfect — close enough to easily get everywhere, yet far enough from the noise, allowing for peaceful and quiet nights.

I could not recommend this place more highly. A quick 5 min. walk to the beach and everything Patong has to offer. The apartment was the perfect size and comfort, with a balcony, living room, kitchen, and all the comforts of home. I was met with a lovely cold towel and delicious lavender drink at check-in! The service was excellent - they dropped my bags in my room while I was out exploring the town. They checked on me multiple times to ensure I was having a great experience and I was thrilled each day to have a great place to come back to. I will absolutely stay here again, and you should too!

Loved everything about the BYD particularly the staff. It’s in a lovely quiet part of Patong but close to everything. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is also good. There is also great massage places all around. Easy walk to the beach. This is our second stay. The rooms are lovely and big and the TV has all the streaming services.
I highly recommend the BYD - you won’t be disappointed.

The location is tucked away off the main street but still conveniently located. The staff was very helpful, and the hotel has a great bar/restaurant right next to the lobby. BYD is your sophisticated option in Patong Beach. It's not on the beach yet it's in a quiet little enclave, it feels almost European. The accommodation is flawless, clean, well maintained, large and airy, gorgeous tree right outside my balcony, and the staff are excellent. Away from the crowds this is a sanctuary. Across four different buildings it's like you are in you own safe village. From check in to the friendly chat every time I left the apartment with the staff, you feel welcomed and frankly you look forward to getting 'home', back to the apartment and away from the madness that is Patong. 'Ce La Vie Brasserie' is a delight. I ate here most nights I stayed with a mix of Western, Thai and European food. The odd night I went out for food, I was let down in comparison. It really is like a piece of Europe. A glass of wine on the terrace and the staff will take their time and ask, when you are ready for the next course. They don't have a laundry yet there is one next door and the massage place in the same area is basic yet professional (weird stuff). If you can get away from the idea of having a beach view, book here, you will thank yourself and your family will too! Also, have the mention the wine store, on premise. If you like a glass of vino, it's right there in the same building. I can't wait to return! 5* BYD, I travel a lot and you have set a beautiful standard in comfort, care and hospitality.

Ran into some issues specific to our room: we believe they were doing maintenance work in unit above ours but we were not given notice. This lead to 1) noise above our unit repeatedly starting at 6am, which made for disruption of sleep 2) maintenance people entering our unit without our notice or permission 3) power outage in our unit which took almost two hours to fix 4) loss of air conditioning use in our bedroom - several hot uncomfortable nights sleeps 5) plumbing backed up and poured dirty sewage water up into our balcony from drain.
Requested to be moved to different room, at first they didn’t accommodate, stating they didn’t have vacancy, but after repeated complaints, they did finally move us.

Believe this to be a one off experience, but it’s our first and only of the place, so unfortunate and left a bad first impression given the nightly rate we paid.

Wow what a gem

This was an awesome little find that we took a punt on and it payed off. Full apartment facilites including a proper coffee machine with real coffee beans, the hotel had a roof top pool happy hour at the bar, amazing room service which was very helpful for the days we got sick. Beach at the end of our street and walking distance to all the hustle and bustle, but tucked away enough for us to have a nice quiet and relaxing stay.

It was nestled in the quiet part of the hustle and bustle of Patong. The street was clean, clear, and it’s surrounded area had low profile bars, massage parlors, and other shops if you did not want to travel to the busy parts of town to do those same things. And it included activity offices as well as a reasonably price laundromat located next door.

We stayed 8 days at BYD and really enjoyed ourselves. When you go during monsoon season, the weather is hit or miss, but we made the most of it. The location is great, close to the beach and right off one of the main drags with so many food/bar options. The in hotel breakfast was also fantastic, and a great way to start each day -- whether having delicious stir fry or traditional eggs/omletts and bacon and beans. Room (we had a suite) was spacious, clean, and well cared for by the staff. While the rooftop pool is a little small, it's still a great spot to enjoy an afternoon, read a book and then have pizza and beer delivered poolside for the outrageous price of $15 (I was being sarcastic there). Phuket was great and it all started with BYD. Thank you.

We received an upgrade on our arrival to a one bedroom suite and it was fantastic. Everything about this hotel is first class. It’s a lovely quiet area but very close to everything including the beach and shopping. There’s a lovely bar across the road and a laundry so I could do my washing. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices. Will be staying here again when we visit Patong next time.

I moved into BYD at the last minute after a previous reservation had not planned out and I have to say BYD was just the place I was looking for! Very civilized, very welcoming, high quality in everything about the place like the physical infrastructure, the interactions with the staff and the food and beverage options.
The hotel owner and manager are also on site quite a bit and I had some great interactions with them, which makes me much more inclined.to come back.
There are a lot of hotels in Patong and on Phuket and BYD has figured out that it can distinguish itself through the highest quality of even the finest details! I will definitely come again!

Bedroom smells like mildew and bedroom AC doesn't get cold. You can especially tell the difference (smell and temp) when you walk from living room (with working AC) to bedroom. Mold in bathroom (which also explains the mildew smell).

Nestled on a quiet side street this is a gem of a hotel. A boutique hotel and serviced apartments with spacious rooms ranging from 40 sqm to 100 sqm & also a two bedroom suite. Very friendly and attentive staff, decent breakfast spread & two pools. Restaurant offers decent variety of food although a bit expensive. The centre of Patong (Jungceylon shoppung mall and Bangla Road) is about a 10-15 min walk or 5 min by Tuk Tuk costing 200 Baht one way.

I researched a lot of places in Patong as I wanted to find a place to completely relax in for a few days. I'm so glad I chose BYD. The apartment finishes were of a very high standard and the bed was far and away the most comfortable I've slept in during my trips to Thailand.

The food - both in the restaurant and for room service - was more expensive than elsewhere but was of a very good standard. The rooftop pool was a lovely space to catch some rays during the day while there's also a small gym and second pool on the ground floor of the second building across the road. A word too about the staff who were incredibly friendly and seemed to enjoy working there.

The only negative was something slightly out of their control as there can be very loud vehicles passing by through to 2/3am. If you have the chance I'd recommend a room to the rear of the main building to avoid this. That said, if I return to Phuket I will definitely stay here again.

I must say that BYD Lofts ranks among the very best properties I've ever stayed in. I visited several top travel sites and read reviews. I decided to take a chance on BYD Lofts due to its overwhelming glowing reviews. Its location at Patong Beach was also preferred due to access to Phuket's robust nightlife - about a 15 min walk away. BYD is situated on a quiet street away from the pandemonium and is merely steps from the beach at the end of a street that revealed a beautiful modern hotel.. As I was graciously greeted by the front desk staff (Ornd, Nate, Kate), I was also presented with a cool towel and refreshing tropical drink. The check in process was simple and I was then escorted to my suite in the adjacent building by two of the staff members. We took the elevator up to my floor and the door was opened to reveal an amazing large apartment home. I was in awe at the size and scope of the apartment. It was clean, modern, and chock full of technology from remote blinds and a/c controls to multiple large flat panel televisions. In addition, I loved the modern artwork, full kitchen, glass shower, vessel sink, and cantilevered glass doors leading to a full balcony. I must make special mention of the king sized bed, it was by far one of the most comfortable beds ever. Lastly, I must say that the food at BYD Lofts was excellent. I would highly recommend BYD Lofts as I now consider it my home away from home while staying in Phuket. Kudos to Paul the GM.

What a great location. BYD Loft Apartments comprise of 4 seperate apartment buildings all located a stones throw apart from each other. The street is really quiet considering how close & easy a stroll it is to the Beach. Heading south from BYD is also an easy walk to Jungceylon & the heart of Patong Beach action. That being said - the street shopping & eating options start at the corner & are endless choices all the way to Bangla Road strip.

All the staff at BYD were super friendly, helpful & provided fantastic service. We had breakfast included which we enjoyed as it covered the usual western goodies enjoyed on holidays as well as Thai.

The room was a good size, serviced daily, had generous size towels & big fluffy pillows & a comfy king bed. Downstairs has a decent & busy (good sign) Tour desk, plus massage options galore before you even get to the Main Street. No commission currency exchange booth had far better rates than home along with a choice of 3 convenience stores within 50m for anything. BYD ticked all the boxes for us & we would go back for sure.

This was our 4th time at BYD. Same as earlier, we enjoyed a lot. Buildings in good condition, service really good, location excellent. Only minor complaint was WIFI, keep dropping OFF and connection was slow compared to what we are used to nowadays. Highly recommend this hotel.

Very Nice Property in Patong!

The BYD Lofts is a really nice property! The hotel itself is very nice with modern furnishings, a kitchen, living room and terrace! The staff is helpful, hospitable and friendly. The location itself is central to the area, however at least a 10 minute walk to the beach (which honestly is a straight shot and not difficult). The only thing I did not find comfortable was that the toilet space is very small, even for the average sized person. If you're tall, you may have to use the bathroom with the door open lol. Overall, I would stay here again.

Loved the size and layout and finish of the apartment and the overall look of the buildings. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful (they loved our our 16 month old like he was one of their nephews) Also the pools were never crowded which was great!

Only complaint is our living room air conditioner thermostat was broken, so always 18c in the living room, even when we set I up for 23 auto.

Stayed at BYD 4 times i wont stay anywhere else when in Phuket,Hands down best place to stay 5 stars across the board Everything is excellent very friendly staff i HIGHLY recommend
