I was very satisfied with our room, except there were hardly any complimentary treats. There was only one restaurant on the property with a limited selection of meals, and there was a substantial charge for room service. The staff were not all bilingual and it was hard to communicate. Overall, it was a nice stay.

The room smelt horrible like corn chips, feet and toes upon arrival. Bathroom smelled like throw up. Tiny bugs crawling around, roaches on pizza near pool and the lightening wasn’t that great in the bathroom, you can hardly see what you’re doing in the mirror. Hallways were dark as well, a little creepy. TV wasn’t up to date, you can’t watch anything on there or play music besides default old very few options. Other than that it was okay, I wouldn’t say it’s bad but I would not recommend the stay, but if you already booked you’ll be alright. Most of the staff were nice and welcoming but there was just one that stood at the door after saying thank you and goodbye for about a minute which was awkward and creepy.

This hotel is perfect for those looking to party, get drunk, listen to the extremely loud music at the upstairs pool, and then pass out and sleep past breakfast. The good things are the proximity to the beach and the rooftop pool itself. The negatives are that the rooms need updating, the water pressure is terrible, the breakfast buffet is extremely lacking, and they blast music at the upstairs pool at all times, far too loud. The worst part was that our neighbours were making noise at all hours of the night, 2am, 3am, 4am, and the hotel staff were not helpful in solving this problem.

Staff are helpful. The room description is inaccurate; it says that there is a sofa-bed, but it was not a bed, it was an old somewhat dirty bed with a repaired cushion that you cannot sit on it. Bathroom needs deep cleaning; there were mold in the shower area.

We chose this hotel for the location, within 5min walk to beach and 20min walk to major nightlife, while being in a more quiet area. Service was good, breakfast had many options and quality was ok. The rooms were clean but def a bit outdated with some mold and cracks showing in bathroom. Overall good.

The bed, so comfortable. The room? Clean, calming and dark once the curtains were closed. Their buffet breakfast? A delight each morning, with always slightly different options. Their staff? Generous, patient, kind and understanding. This was our third stay at The Charm and we would never stay elsewhere in Patong.

Nice hotel, very friendly and welcoming staff. The view from the pool and sky bar is amazing, we weren’t so lucky with weather so didn’t get as much use as we would have liked. Would love to visit again. The only issue we had was the water did not heat up in the bath so was unable to use bath in the bathroom.

Excellent location! Only a 5-minute walk to the beach and the food trucks along the shore. Good breakfast served in an air-conditioned room. I didn’t like that housekeeping came quite late-sometimes only in the afternoon. And that beach towels couldn’t be exchanged at the pool.

We enjoyed our stay at The Charm Resort Beach. The resort itself is lovely, with great facilities including a well-equipped gym, relaxing sauna, and a stunning rooftop infinity pool overlooking the beach. Our room was modern, clean, and just a short walk from the beach, shops, and plenty of dining options. The front desk staff were excellent — always friendly and quick to help whenever we had a question or needed assistance.

That said, our stay had a few hiccups. On the first day, there was a planned power outage, and guests were advised to be away from the resort between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. We made the most of it by exploring and shopping, but it wasn’t the best way to start the holiday. The following morning, an unexpected power outage occurred due to a fault at the resort’s entrance, again leaving rooms and facilities unusable for several hours.

Housekeeping could also be more proactive — while they did a great job when asked, items like towels and consumables weren’t replenished automatically during our stay. Once we requested service, though, the team responded quickly and did an excellent job.

Despite the interruptions, we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience overall. The Family Suite is especially good value — spacious and ideal for families looking to stay close to the action while still enjoying resort-style comfort.

was extremely disappointed with my stay at this property, as the conditions were completely unacceptable and far below the standards advertised. Even after being placed in what was described as the “best room,” the space was dirty and had a serious bug issue. I encountered a spider, a dead roach, and constant mosquitoes, which made it impossible to feel comfortable or safe enough to sleep.

I even switched to a pool view room hoping for a better experience, but the pool itself was in terrible condition — filled with bugs and appearing as though it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. This clearly showed that the property is not being maintained to reasonable standards.

The overall atmosphere felt more like a neglected motel than a hotel. The conditions were so unbearable that I checked out early and chose not to request a refund, simply because I could not remain there any longer.

I cannot recommend this property, and I strongly urge future travelers to be aware of the issues before booking.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and I was able to check in slightly earlier than the standard 3pm time. The room was on the second floor, which was accessible by a small staircase or the lift (which was further down the hall). The room was incredibly spacious with a balcony, table and two chairs. It also had a small clothes line attached to the outside wall, which was handy for drying clothes. The bathroom, while tired and needing a bit of an upgrade, was large with a huge, deep bath and double-sized shower. Towels were replaced daily. The room had two comfortable beds and a number of pillow options to choose from.
The roof top pool is what makes the hotel. With brilliant views over the main beach in Patong, plenty of lounge chairs and a swim up pool bar, it was a great place to relax and enjoy a sunset.
The breakfast was basic but plentiful. The egg station was a highlight.
Overall, the hotel was a great, affordable option that's close proximity to shopping, food markets, the beach, and of course Bangla Rd. It was a fantastic place to stay as a solo traveller, with other like-minded people staying at the same time. The travel and tour desk was great and knowledgeable, and you couldn't fault the staff - they truly made the hotel a special place.

The room was spacious, there was a single and a queen size bed ( the big bed had a bit of a dip in it where most people would recline to watch tv (me too), so for sleeping I moved to the middle of the bed - that was my only quibble sitting the week I was there. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the woman who made up my room (even though I'm not a tipper I did this time).
Charm Resort is a great location- over the road from the beach and a short walk to shops and eating places.
If you need a bike (scooter) to get around the island on you could try MrJack who is such a nice bloke and his missus makes a great coffee contact them on +66890443035

The two story duplex apartments are very badly built! Water leakage inside bedroom. Noise from air conditioning and outside generators. If you book maybe seek other rooms.
Too far from Bangalore road.

The staff at this hotel were all amazing, helpful, and kind. The location is right across from patong beach which was very convenient, as well as there were lots of taxis available just outside the hotel. The deluxe room with the separate bedroom was so great and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only problem with the room was that the AC in the bedroom was leaking quite a lot at some times, but the other AC in the kitchen worked fine. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and the willingness to help from all the staff.

Light switches in main area in odd places, kitchen has a fridge, kettle, sink & bench nothing else - maybe cutlery & crockery. Rooftop pool has great views, swim up bar & food. Breakfast was good. Staff were fantastic. Bit of a walk into main part of town but tuk tuks & taxi at end of laneway a cheaper option than the hotel. Beach at end of lane, 1-2 min walk.

I am very disappointed with my stay. I was given an upgrade and early check in, which was nice. However, the cleanliness issues I experienced were unacceptable. I dropped my bags off after checking in, and I noticed that there were bloodstains and a hair on my bedding. I asked them to replace the bedding. I returned later that night, and they had replaced the bedding. However, I then went to the restroom and noticed a TOENAIL on the floor (it was not mine, as I had left for the whole day). This was absolutely disgusting. It was too late at night to have housekeeping remake the room, so I was going to wait until the next day. However, I then found 3 ants on the desk, and a coiled hair on the ground. I called to ask to check out early the next day, and I asked if I could just pay for the night I stayed, but they said I would have to pay in full because of my nonrefundable rate. They offered me a new room, but I was so grossed out that I didn’t even want to risk the new room being just as bad. This is NOT a “luxury” resort. It was obvious very little housekeeping had been done before I entered the room. I ended up leaving and just paying in full. Stay at the Four Points next door— excellent housekeeping and service there. I gave 2 stars because The Charm had kind people and a large room, but these were the ONLY good things about the resort.

The service was good. Food was good and reasonably priced. Roof top pool is amazing with view of the beach.
It is away from all the attractions eg. Elephant trekking, ATV, the Big Buddha, etc.
The refundable security payment of Bhat 3000 or £100 is too much.
Disappointed that we requested for Bidget to be repaired on the first day but it did not happen.
Overall was ok and would stay again.

Property is close to Patong beach, less traffic on the street, easy access to some shopping and food stalls, property is updated to a modern living. What I don't like is that, me and my partner booked a room with pool access, water was not bad, there's just a strong smell from the sewage that would make you think you are swimming in it, and pool was little dirty, only swim 4 times on our 10 days stay in that room, but the infinity pool was awesome, liked the Patong beah view and the cooling water, sky bar was lovely.

I liked the ac, and the pool in this hotel and the location. The room are very old and looks like an outdated 1 bedroom apartment, was dirty, flies in the room, at one point the bathroom sink was all clogged up with hair and stuff. The breakfast was the worst of all. Disgusting I had to walk down to a hotel near called four points to get fresh bread fresh eggs fresh fruits and fresh coffee. Will not stay here again.

Overall my Charm stay was very enjoyable! The service was super friendly and accommodating, especially Wendy and the management, who went the extra mile to assure my comfort. The rooftop pool/bar and dry sauna were icing on the cake. The restaurant and room service were solid. Frankly the rooms themselves could use sone updating and maintenance for a 4 star facility, amd I was told this is being worked on. Proximity to the beach is fantastic. Would and will definitely go back!
